Fantastic atmosphere, great food, and a good vibe. It is a tad expensive but totally worth it!

Over the top prices for drinks and food IMO 13 pounds for loaded chips - literally a half portion from the chippy with a 50g chicken breast sprinkled on top ..... Over 5.20gbp for a pint of strongbow dark fruits 🫠😅🤣

A bar/restaurant/record store? Amazing.

We always book here in if we have a gig at the Hydro- really nice vibes, good music and I like it because it has a varied vegetarian menu. The margaritas are always good too. We were in last night and the manager went above and beyond for us when we needed some help. So, we can't thank you enough, you saved our night out :)

Served by a lovely lady who made the two best cocktails I have ever had. Espresso Martini & a spicy watermelon martini thing. Definitely visiting again and for food next time.

Our second visit whilst staying nearby and it is one of our firm favourites. A great vibe, very friendly staff and great food. Love the decor and everything about it and the music. I had the pizza which was one of the best I've had in a long time, my husband had the burger which he really enjoyed. A great range of beers on draught. We will be back!!

Looks really rough from the outside but is very child friendly. Kids can make their own pizza.

Chanced our luck on a busy Sunday night (Hydro) and were offered a space in a table for two straight away, server was so lovely and all very accommodating. Food was great as always! Love the atmosphere

Stopped in Sunday evening, solid pizza menu, good tap selection, staff were friendly, engaging & efficient. Great record store section with a fantastic selection. And the they offer you parmesan or chilli flakes, they bring them in big shakers for icing. Which after seeing, honestly ought to be industry standard. Great bar.

Came here for some.food and what a great place it is. Staff very friendly and helpful. Place was very busy which is proof how good the food was. We had pizza and a chicken burger and a few drinks each, price was reasonable and food tasted amazing.

Both my wife and I went for food here as it was recommended to us. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great. The food and drink was excellent and the staff very helpful. They also have a shop that sells vinyl as well

The choice of pizzas, which are the main attraction of the food, has recently been increased but be assured, quantity has not for gone quality. My partner and I love to treat ourselves with lunch here but dinner is just as lovely. Prices aren't ridiculous but I wouldn't say it's cheap and cheerful. All the pizzas can be made gluten free but be aware that though all pizzas can be converted to calzones, they won't be safe for coeliac patrons. The vibe of this place is very cool; not sure why but they always have WWE on one of the TVs - just a side note. It can be pretty loud in here with the music and other customers so be aware if you easily get overstimulated. Except for the noise level, the place is a warm, inviting place to relax and enjoy some good grub. The workers here sometimes come off as a bit rushed but it's understandable when this place can get busy. But realistically, the staff here are kind and more than happy to help.

En Glasgow durante unos días para un concierto y mi hermano recomendó este lugar y me alegro de haber escuchado. Pizzas absolutamente deliciosas, a un precio muy razonable y buena música. Me regalé un cóctel que nunca hice y que era exuberante también. Intentaré volver la próxima vez que esté en Glasgow, que es a menudo porque las bandas ya no vienen a Newcastle!

Great wee place and location to the ovo

Great Burger and Curly Fries, very good service on a busy Saturday night.

Went with a work group and started a tab, two of us had to leave early and paid our part of the tab at the bar, end of the night the staff wrongly insisted the tab hadn't been settled and double-charged the remaining group members.

Was here for a quick pizza before a concert at the O2 Academy. Food was good. Service was great.

Never received the vinyl I ordered, any mails to resolve the issue stay unanswered, no refund was given.

One of my favourite spots for food and drink. Impromptu visit today, we shared a pizza, katsu loaded fries and I got a half pint of red stripe. Quality.

I'm really into places like this. Quaint pub with 80s music. The food was simple but super tasty 😋. The staff nice and attentive. Several delicious types of beer straight from the tap. There is also a small corner where you can buy records. For me as a vinyl junkie, it's a pub that's a bit like paradise.

Absolutely incredible place to eat, one of the best pizzas ever. Slightly let down by a limited variety of beers on offer. Absolutely 11/10 atmosphere, anywhere I can sit with a pint and pizza while watching Takeshis castle and listen to classic rock is a win in my book. A Celiac friend said it was the best gluten free pizza they've ever had and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable on allergies and helpful.

Amazing customer service, catered to requests when I asked for a specific request even though it wasn't on the menu. Very happy with my food! My brother and I had a wonderful time! Good music being played, great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Llegaron alitas de pizza y pollo, el repartidor decidió que estaba bien colocar cajas de ese lado en su mochila Ambas pizzas eran un montón de papilla en la esquina. El ajo mayo se derramó por toda la caja de alitas de pollo. SIN EMBARGO, la pizza sin gluten fue increíble, cuando lo puse de nuevo junto, base fantástica, gran cobertura. Muy sabroso. En general, la junta de tira es muy recomendable. Vendré a cenar muy pronto en el lugar real.

A hidden gem outside of Glasgow's central area! Went here before a concert in the Ovo hydro. Music being played was on brand for the concert, the bill came in a cassette case of the artist also! Small touches which make a place memorable. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and the beer selection has something for everyone! Nice to browse the records while waiting for food too. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Great place for some bar food and close to Hydro for gigs

This was our first visit to Strip Joint for a pre-show meal before a gig at the Hydro, and it exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was vibrant, the service was impeccable, and the food was tasty. From start to finish, Jordan and the team made us feel incredibly welcome and were attentive throughout the entire evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and excellent service in a lively setting. Superb!

Very loud and full of kids on a Saturday, not really a bad vibe, more a TJI Fridays

We visited as a large party for work. We sent our orders through several weeks prior. We had to change the date last minute and they had no issue. They managed really well with our large group, getting all of the food out in really good time with great service. The atmosphere and music were also great. We stayed afterwards for the cocktails which I 100% recommend. All in all a really good night

Strip Joint never disappoints you, no matter how many times you visit the place whether you go alone, with friends or family. You can just go for one drink or order food the next time, the service and welcoming vibe are always the same, so it proves the place maintains their standards.

Decent enough bar but staff were content to let people vape inside, didn't address it and when raised it was clear the staff were pals with the person doing it, no consideration for the other patrons (including kids as during the day). Poor show.

During our stay in Glasgow, our local friend recommended Strip Joint. Definitely did not disappoint. The pizza is really good and fresh, quickly ordered and quickly at the table. The hot wings were super good as well. Really like the atmosphere and vibe in there as well. Would recommend for sure to anyone for good food and a pint anytime of the day / night!

Just a one off I went in. No Ice t.. spoke to a lovely bar staff member who answered all questions. With a lovely smile. She's looks like 21 . Service was really good. Just got red stripe on the draught. Was a bit pricey. But u get what you paid for. May come back on a gig at that place ... Was going to ask her name...top notch

Very warm welcome when we arrived. The bar was very busy, however that did not affect the service, staff were very attentive, drinks and food arrived quickly, which was appreciated as we were attending a concert later on. Food was delicious, very fresh and hot. There was a lovely atmosphere, with a fantastic music selection playing. Would definitely recommend coming here and hope to return soon.

We held a brilliant event at Strip Joint on 9th Aug. It was a drinks party celebrating our company’s 50th anniversary, and we had about 100-150 guests turn up throughout the evening who were all attending a convention at the nearby Scottish Event Campus. The staff were absolutely brilliant in the run-up to the event and on the evening itself. Communication was fantastic, the service was warm and friendly, and the staff were really happy to help with whatever we needed - particularly with bringing out drinks speedily when the party got really busy. The atmosphere in the venue was great - really lively and buzzy, with a real rock n’ roll vibe, which was what we wanted. Great fun and great tunes all evening. We all had a brilliant time and can’t recommend Strip Joint enough as an event venue, especially if you’re looking for somewhere to hold a drinks party whilst attending a convention at the Scottish Event campus. We also had a team meal there before our party and the pizzas were delicious.

Amazing place with a great atmosphere, fab food, lovely staff and music that was perfect! Not too posh but not trashy...just right! Came as I had bern given a voucher but will def return! Best pizza and burgers we have had in a loooooong time. Compared to prices of popular fast food - this was MUCH better value! Can't wait to return l! Cocktail choices were deeeeeelish!

Another one of those Rock bars the music that was too loud for the time of day was more suited for the staff than the customers the Food wasn't good mostly deep fried and he chicken wings were supposed to be honey and some other flavour weren't someone next to us had pizza that looked good wish I had that than the flavourless chilli hotdog the red stripe on draft was excellent but the chap that served us kept touching his long hair two stars for the beer not worth the large bill doubt we'll be back

It's a vibe. We rocked up without a reservation on Friday and after a short wait room was made for us with table service, host/staff were friendly and accommodating - Dog friendly, vinyl, rock and alt aesthetic with all the trendy burger joint trimmings, food was ok, spicy wings were pretty tame..

Great place, we’ve been a couple of times. The macaroni in particular is amazing! Portions are big so bear in mind when ordering.

Lovely guy served us our cocktails and shots. We also had nibbles the steak and peppercorn fries are amazing . We have booked again for sunday 18th as we will be staying at the crowne plaza

Great place. Good sense of humor. Perfectly cooked burger with bacon and cheese. The mustard sauce is good stuff.

This was honestly one of the best burgers I have ever tried.. Can't remember the name of it but it contained beef pattie, haggis, peppersauce, (which was outstanding) dried onions and lettuce. My wife had a chicken burger and we shared the chicken wings with buffalo service. Very good atmosphere also and the staff were very attentive. Thank you.

We made reservations for our party of 6 on a Saturday night and were glad we did! This place is busy and for good reason! We had drinks and pizza, wings and chicken burgers. All were excellent! Staff was very friendly and the service was also really quick! We would definitely come here again for a meal and/or drinks!

As a pub this is a 10/10. Great service great atmosphere. As a restaurant this place is worth avoiding. I ordered a pizza and chicken wings. Both very poor and the wings were freezing cold. Unfortunate as the place itself is great and the staff are lovely.

Lovely staff, so helpful and provide a great service! The Food was lovely as well. Also, my friend has a few allergies, and the staff double-checked and even showed her the allergy booklet to keep her mind at rest! She feels so relaxed and safe within the environment.

We popped in here for a few drinks after a gig at the hydro and had such a great end to a wonderful evening Great selection of drinks good m8x of people. Tho was busy we got a seat and easy to get a drink. Will be back again soon.

Worst place I’ve been to in Glasgow. They for some reason don’t believe in reserved signs. Twice there were free seats. The first time we thought it was on oversight but then it happened again. Apparently if there’s a menu on a table that’s a reserved sign? Never heard the like. And don’t get me started on the very aggressive man at the door with curly hair. He needs a lesson in customer service

Like many other places in Glasgow, it is a very original and characteristic bar where one can enjoy tasty and good priced meals. We tried the Hages pizza, and with it's caramelised onion on top was a positive surprise. I would also recommend Tropical beer. Prices are good and service extremely friendly. Would totally recommend it again!

Burger was very good. However, the toilets are filthy and mostly broken. Accessible toilet had a broken sign but the staff were still using it.

Picked up a takeaway pizza (Maybellene), tasted better than it looked, was fresh and a decent size (for one). Place was busy with people eating and/ or drinking, good atmosphere.

Food was really tasty, lots of veggie options. The burger was really tasty and loved the three different chip options. Plenty of dips and sides, big portion sizes so good value for money. Staff were lovely and food and drink came quickly.

I had the most amazing chicken burger and my friends loved their pizza. Definitely recommend.
