Nice interior and a very good selection of craft beer. Cosy atmosphere but not to busy inside. You can also order a good pizza. Friendly staff.

Really nice place. Sat with the Galway Stout at the moment which is particularly good. Had fun reaching that conclusions.

Bar with a huge selection of beers on tap and in cans. The Untappd link for each of these beers allows you to have a first overview and it is very practical. Afterwards, the place is not really my taste, falsely industrial, too noisy

I was in here as part of a group of about 20-25 people for a leaving party for one of our colleagues. I have been in a few times and it never disappoints. Plenty of beers to choose from and the pizzas are dynamite. I would recommend a pint of Deckchair and a margherita pizza.

amazing place for a pizza - very friendly staff and quick service - food and drinks are awesome, and they brew their own beer - the prices are incredible, and on top of that, they have a 50% student discount - they also host a pub quiz, which is fun to enjoy with friends - lunch or dinner, this is definitely one of the best places to go to in Glasgow

They are located i a beautiful building and a fun atmosphere. Their stout is fantastic, and the lager is ok. My friends loved the IPA. Bought some shirts and hung out for about an hour.

Good Drink selection that changes often and probably the best value/quality pizza in Glasgow at time of writing. Forget Queuing at Paesano go here, its just as good but cheaper and you can book tables. Can be noisy if that's a problem for some.

Heard good things so went along to try it out. Good selection of beer and the bar staff were decent, however a 5 percent service charge as standard ?!? I see that you can get it removed from your bill but it's not actually mentioned at the point of payment and no receipt was offered. I never agree with putting a service charge on a bill as this is not America and although I agree good service should be rewarded, it should never be assumed. This really took the biscuit though as a service charge would suggest some sort of service element. There was no table service and your pizza isn't even take to your table when ready (you have to collect it). In the couple of hours we spent in this establishment we had one member of staff clear plates and glasses and that was it. Based on this I very much doubt I will return as a customer which is a real shame as it's a nice place.

Booked a table for 1900 tonight. Someone phoned and we explained that we would be running late, as the show we were seeing at the Kings Theatre had ran on later than expected. We arrived, after walking in the pouring rain, to find that our table had been given to someone else and we were subsequently sat a table against a wall, with a rowdy table of four sat besides us. We will not return!

Delicious pizza with nice atmosphere.

Mother's Day 2024 lunch & beers! We met with our son here, for my mother's day treat. Had a selection of beers each, with each taking a beer flight of 4 thirds (fruit sours for me, mix for my son & a selection of stouts and porters for my other half). We also had a few pizzas and sme garlic bread. Food is excellent value, the beers are a tad expensive - but great choices. Lovely building too, and friendly staff - happy to have you take a taster to check you will like the offering.

Drinks and pizza. Had a nice afternoon/evening in here. Lots of different craft beers to choose from and the pepperoni pizza was a nice.

Didn't think the craft beer selection was that great- only one IPA I really fancied (a Pollys) and it wasn't available as a pint. There wasn't much that was interesting to me (I don't mean gimmicky, just wanted a few delicious, juicy IPAs). There were no DIPAs, one 4% stout, and I think one sour. I could be wrong, but it felt like there were lots of middle of the road session beers, and only one cider on tap. I felt it was a bit overrated compared to several craft beer pubs back home, where they're passionate about having great beers on tap, and the staff know what's on tap and what it tastes like... (maybe I've been spoilt?) Probably the best place in the locality to grab a decent IPA as far as I could tell. The building was nice, but atmosphere was a bit flat I thought, although it was 6pm on a Tuesday! Had a 5+ minute wait getting my beer after paying, but mistakes happen!

Would heartily recommend this bar - cool aesthetics being in an old bank, a wide range of drinks of weird & wonderful flavours and the pizza was divine. Try the Irn Bru chilli! Had sports on a big screen but tables in a separate area which was quieter, so covers all bases.

What a fantastic find. A friend recommended this place, so we raced in to escape the battering rain and then struggled to tear ourselves away all afternoon. Started with a couple of beers from the massive craft menu, then went in for some pizza, which the kitchen cooked to our fussy specs and turned out to be maybe the best pizza I've ever had. Lovely vibe, too, with great music, lovely staff who don't hover, and cosy seating that you can just choose. I'll be coming back to Glasgow just for this place tbh.

Nice bar in a central location in Glasgow town centre. Really liked the interior, retaining a number of features from the old bank that used to be at this location. Limited menu, but this works in your favour as it keeps it simple. There is no table service, so order at the bar. Servers were knowledgeable and happy to offer assistance on the vast amount of drinks on offer. Pizza and beer are always a winning combination. Opted for a spicy pineapple vegetarian pizza, although this can be tailored to be vegan. The other choice was one with black pudding. Liked the char on the underside, simply delicious.

I felt at ease, an old bank, beautiful interior, there are no waiters to serve you, you order and you are given a sort of remote control that vibrates when your pizzas are ready, and you go and get them. also if you go before 6pm you can have 2 pizzas for the price of one, fantastic! Then if you want to go to the toilets, you go below the floor, where the vault was, I found it very suggestive and the bathrooms really clean and nice, I will definitely go back 🥰🥰🥰

Great place to catch some good craft pizzas and beers

Popped in for the Gatsby themed casino night on New Year's Eve. Excellent beer selection, other drinks are OK, service was pretty good overall. They ran a pizza buffet on the night which was nice. Didn't make it to midnight alas as got a bit bored and headed elsewhere for a bit more party which isn't meant negatively, on a different night Shilling would have been just fine.... Just not NYE for my partner and I.

We were the only guests right after opening for lunch. Two waiters were not able to welcome us or take our order. We left after 15 minutes.

It’s a shame to put this review in because the pizza was great. Unfortunately yesterday, everything else wasn’t the best. We were a big group with a booking paid in full up front that none of the staff seemed to know about. We were supposed to have drinks on arrival and pizza buffet but the staff were completely unaware of our booking or what we had paid for. After we brought it to their attention, they had brought out the prosecco and informed us it was 8 pizzas between all of us and there wasn’t an actual buffet. There were also supposed to be options for the festive pizza menu on the email when we booked, which was not made clear if we could actually order on the day so we didn’t. We ended up complaining because the email wasn’t clear and we each got to order a pizza. When the pizzas started coming out, there were four that hadn’t been brought out. (Which brings back to the original 8 pizzas we were allowed) When we asked the staff about the rest of our parties pizzas, they had a lot of attitude and said they were in the oven when they weren’t. When we brought up the attitude to the manager in charge, she rolled her eyes. We understand it’s hard to accommodate big parties and it’s a busy time of year. If the staff had just even apologised or been a bit nicer about everything, I wouldn’t be complaining. Loved the pizza but won’t be back at all because of the attitude of the staff.

Well well well. Never have I ever been reduced to tears of joy by pints, pizza and just plain hard work. As I sat pondering the metro crossword, an angel from across the bar whipped me up a tzatziki scooner. MARVELLOUS I exclaimed! “Let there be pizza” I hear from the kitchen. Let me tell ye. Pizza was had. I know you could be tempted by the counting house spoons, but bejaysus you wouldn’t be finding happiness like you do in this spot.

As a large group we had pre-booked and fully paid for a package however on arrival the staff had no knowledge of this. Our pizzas came very spread out meaning some of the group were completely finished while others still had to wait another 15-20 minutes for anything to arrive & the serving staff were rude & unhelpful regarding this. As a table with full view of the kitchen it was evident that they could not have cared less about the quality or timing of our food. The pizzas were edible but the dips on offer were out of a large pre-bought squeezy bottle, which I found disappointing. Of the limited drinks we could use our tokens for there were many alcoholic and soft drink options not available. Wish we had spent our hard earned money on a Christmas day out somewhere else.

Staff were very rude and the food all arrived at different times. Half of our group had completely finished their dinner before the rest had been given their food. When I reminded staff we were still waiting on some people’s dinner the staff member responded “yeah, and?”, he had such an attitude it was appalling. Several staff members had a similar attitude, everything seemed to be a bother.

Service was absolutely appalling. Paid £360 upfront, which was a package of Prosecco on arrival, pizza buffet and two drinks. Staff rolled their eyes, didn’t know about the package, and advised choose 8 pizzas and you can share between all 12 persons present. That’s not the definition of a buffet. By doing this we would have been £110 cheaper just individually ordering a pizza with 3 alcoholic drinks. There was a member of staff who was off duty standing in the open kitchen drinking whilst the chef was prepping/ cooking. Extremely unsanitary. We asked for dips which came once everyone had finished their food. The staff and management could not have cared less. Worst experience definitely will not be back again.

Loved the pizza! The place was really cosy and had nice craft beers. The pizza was authentic and would definitely come back again.

Beautiful building and a good selection of beers.

Beer selection is excellent, but some of the beers are really quite pricey. I appreciate quality comes with a price tag, but this would be a venue I would visit as a special occasion rather than a regular haunt. Pizzas were first rate though and very good value for money.

Casting about for somewhere for a light dinner and a couple of drinks on a cold and wet Sunday afternoon in November, happened upon Shilling and very glad we did. The house beers on tap, brewed on site, the guest ales, and the pizzas (man, the pizzas!) are all a delight, and added up to a lovely way to spend time before leaving for the airport.

Came in today on a day trip from Edinburgh with my boyfriend.The bartender was absolutely amazing, I was unsure on what I wanted and he helped me pick what ended up being a great beer. He had such a positive attitude and we had a great chat as he poured our beers. The pizzas and dripping sauces were amazing, definitely recommend the jalapeño Mayo. Definitely will recommend to friends that come to Glasgow.

What a great facility. A sublime Craft Brewery contained within a fine Art Deco building, formerly a financial institution, with a great and expansive craft beer offering and fabulous fresh homemade pizza made to order in minutes. What's not to like!

Came here for a ‘working lunch’ and a farewell to one of my work colleagues. The company came recommended by a couple of people I know. Genuinely, the best Pizza i’ve tried in Glasgow to date. Situated along West George Street, this Brewery / restaurant was a cracking space - very modern with an urban feel to it. The staff were friendly and even gave us a tour of the basement ‘party’ room, very much looking ahead to a potential Christmas night out. I opted for the Haggis Pizza (only £9.00). The Pizzas were all stretched to order, with their own brewed Beer added to the Dough. The winner of my toppings was the Irn-Bru Chilli Jam - a masterpiece. I’d struggle to look at any other Pizza on my next visit, Haggis all the way! Hoping at some point that the Jam appears jarred in a Supermarket. Highly recommended, probably by all four of us that ate there to be honest. Hit the spot in food quality and price! A well deserved 5/5.

The pizza and beer were really good. The price was very affordable, students have 50% off pizza from sun to thurs whole day. I like that you can choose to buy 1/3 pint of beer so i could try different types of beer. There was a wide variety of beer. The atmosphere of the place was really nice.

Good venue. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. However £26 for three pints is too rich for my blood. I am very familiar with stouts and porters, their varying percentages, and costs. Granted, you are in the centre of Glasgow, but these prices, for these...

Fantastic pizzas. Nice and thin with lovely toppings. We had the mixed meat and the haggis pizzas. The bar staff and pizza chefs are all really friendly. There is a huge range of draft beers, and you can try before you buy.

Went here on a saturday night to watch the Rugby world cup so very busy, staff were lovely and very helpful. Great choice of beer and it is nice you can have a weee tastier before you buy. You pay for food at the bar and then collect it at kitchen with buzzer . Good atmosphere and beautiful building and brewery.

Great atmosphere in here. Pizza delicious, beers delicious, architecture delicious. No seriously, with it being an old bank and the toilets being the decommissioned vaults, this bar contends for the top spot in design mastery. If you are here to try different craft beers and ales you will not be disappointed. I’d recommend the Haggis Pizza as well!

It's an amazing restaurant with kind workers. The food is great and the selection of beers is almost neverending. The ambient is also wonderful. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our time very much. We will be returning here when we visit Glasgow again.

Booked a table for 8 of us early on Saturday evening. Tip - book a table if you want to sit together. I booked online a couple of days before. We didn’t have time for pizza although they looked great. We did order four mixed flights to share and asked the barman to choose. When I say “mixed”, I mean “mixed”. Some of the beers were fantastic, one session IPA stands out in particular. There were also some that nobody in our group could drink - a couple of very sour light-coloured beers. All in all, a good place to kick off the night.

Came here to try the beers and watch the rugby world cup. Every beer we had was very good and the staff were friendly. No sound on the rugby even though they have a sandwich board out the front inviting people to watch the games here. Instead of the game audio there was a DJ playing. Music was super loud and no sound dampening throughout the room so you're basically yelling Good for beers, but if I came again I'd come during the day and sit outside. No good for the world cup.

Terrific selection of beers, four of which are brewed on the premises that from memory are a stout, lager, heavy and IPA (might be wrong about the latter). Quiet on my first visit but rammed the second time around. They allow you to reserve a table although I've never been a fan of this in pubs personally.

If you’re a proper beer drinker, pop into this place for a few glasses of the good stuff.

Second time in 2 days of our stay in Glasgow. Tonight after a long day to the Isle of Bute and the Mount Stuart House we decided to hit up SB for dinner and drinks. Margherita pizza and sausage/mushroom pizza were thin and delicious. The beers were great and the atmosphere was up for World Cup Rugby. I really need to better understand this sport. The bartender asked me to grade my understanding of his accent which I gave a 7/10. Not for him, he's fine. I need to pay better attention lol. Come here if you can!

Loved this bar in central Glasgow. A great venue (old bank) and a huge selection of good beers, including their own brewery on site. Plenty for non-beer drinkers too though :) And a great selection of pizzas - the haggis pizza with Iron Bru sauce was actually amazing :)

Cracking beer and Cracking Pizzas

Do not book to watch the Rugby 🏉 World Cup. No commentary and the projected screen could not be seen from the allocated table despite specifying in the booking. Staff were totally indifferent to any concerns raised. Will never be back

I tried 4 pints. It costs 7 pound. Bought one cider. It costs 10 pound… Beers are good, especially craft beers but it was tooo much for a cider. I mean, really??

Beer is good but I was shocked that the price I paid for beer didn’t match the price list. When I queried it with the bar staff I was told they add 5% service charge to each order. Ridiculous, I’ve never been in a pub...

We loved this brewery!! Such a good vibe. The bartenders were lovely, beer was great, and a great atmosphere. We would’ve stayed longer but wanted to explore more of Glasgow! We only had beer here, no food but their brunch sounded fun

Excellent selection of beers, both in house and guest beers. The pizza surpassed our expectations - the base was really tasty (I believe it is made with beer in the dough), and the flavor combinations great! Also atmosphere is 10/10!!
