The best sweet and sour chicken I’ve had! We have good Chinese food where I’m from but this place blew me away. The chicken was light and crispy but also, so tasty! I wanted to come back the next day but needed to sample other places. The service was amazing. Everyone was so nice and polite, especially Don. Thank you guys!

Delicious, fresh and authentic food. Plated beautifully, and the server was so lovely, friendly and fast service, lovely decor and atmosphere in the restaurant. Definitely recommend eating here for authentic tastes. I'll be going back.

One of the best Chinese Restaurants I have been to, this spot I would rank above many I went to in Beijing. Very friendly staff, amazing selection of food which tasted amazing. I would seriously recommend visiting for some comfort but also good quality Chinese food.

I recently visited Street of Beijing in Edinburgh and, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. As someone who enjoys casual Asian food joints, I was quite disappointed. The food was just okay—not terrible, but definitely not wow—and there are certainly better options nearby. What really let the experience down, though, was the service. While the timing was reasonable, the way the staff interacted with customers was poor and left a negative impression. Overall, it’s not a place I’d be eager to return to.

The last time I had such a delicious Chinese meal I still living in Canada, and that was over two years ago. The meal is excellent, the service is super fast and the price is super cheap, I will return for sure! @the.bald.nomad was here!

This is a belated praise. Three weeks ago, one of my friend's children fell ill while traveling in Edinburgh. He was alone in the hotel at midnight and wanted to eat Chinese congee noodles. I was far away in the south of England and couldn't do anything, so I found this restaurant online, called for consultation, and then ordered the delivery online. The girl who answered the phone in the restaurant was very friendly and patient. I asked her if she had any fruits and painkillers, and she sent grapes and painkillers without any additional charge. Although it was just a small thing, it felt like a timely help, which made us all very warm and touched in a foreign country. Thank you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

The waiter was very friendly! The pancakes are really delicious and tasty. There is a surprise of vegetable filling, which is really unexpected! The Xiao Long Bao is also worth a try, it is filled with gravy! On the contrary, the salt and pepper chicken wings were a bit disappointing because they were quite dry! The coconut sponge cake also had an unexpected surprise. I didn’t expect it to be so delicious with condensed milk! While dining, I saw quite a few delivery people coming to pick up their food. I believe this restaurant must have a certain appeal!

The takeout I ordered through Uber Eats found that the Special pancake braised beef was rancid and sour. I called the merchant to consult, but the merchant refused to admit that there was a problem with their beef and refused to provide a solution. I felt terrible about this experience. Tasty food, pleasant friendly service. The lamb dry pot was particularly tasty, as was the Xiao Long bao. The dim sum platter is good value! I think the quality of some ingredients could be improved

We ate here recently on our trip around Edinburgh. Food extremely poor, squid was very chewy and not fresh, egg fried rice portions extremely small, chips were also very small portions, shredded beef was very chewy and poor quality. We didnt enjoy our meal at all, extremely expensive for what we had roughly £50. Avoid.

I arrived a tad late to collect my pancake. They told me it was cold and despite me saying I was happy to take it they insisted on making a new one free of charge. High standards

If you live in Edinburgh and like northern Chinese food, you already know about this restaurant. For everyone else, Streets of Beijing is a great place to stop and enjoy authentic, tasty north-eastern Chinese food. Highly recommended. Fresh, fast food and friendly family service selling well-made dishes with no disappointment.

We ordered the pork chenug fun, plain cheng fun, xialongbao and beef ho fun! I would definitely recommend the pork Cheung, they were so smooth! The xialongbao were lovely too! Staff was super friendly, I would go back again!

Loved this place. We were visiting from the states and were very impressed with the service and the authentic food. We ordered the Singapore Style Noodles, the Wonton Soup Noodles, the Char Siu Bun, Mochi, and Chinese Tea. Our server was incredibly friendly. He brought some free sesame prawn toast for having to wait a bit to get our order in, but it was well worth it! Our experience was great and this has honestly been one of the best meals we have had during our time here! Cheers!

Ordered aromatic duck and pancakes as a takeaway, food was cold and no sauces or vegetables were included with the delivery. When I phoned and complained I was informed that they were aware of the missing items (we had not been contacted to let us know) and when I asked if we could come to a solution I was told “no” and that they didn’t have enough staff. Such a shame as the first time we ordered from them was great but this time was a huge disappointment, won’t use them again.

One of the worst experiences I've had in any restaurant. The dude behind the desk was extremely rude to literally every customer who came in tonight. Food was watery and bland (maybe this guy's bad attitude got to the chef as well). If I acted like this guy even on my worst day at work I'd be fired - won't be going back again.

I like it so much, the dry-fried beef river is amazing, the meat is tender and flavourful. The waiters are also very nice, kind and cute

Food is great especially in this foreign land. Ordered seafood fried rice , beef brisket , spring rolls , salt pepper wings and chive dumpling. All was good ! The guy who manned the restaurant is one super patient and kind person ! I salute him .

The food was amazing. Absolutely loved their prawns dishes. The dessert options were not that great. But overall it was good experience.

Food is traditional and well made. True chinese food with high quality ingredients. Staff are exceptional as is the owner. They are all very kind and striving for big achievements. As chinese restaurants go in Edinburgh this is an up and coming institution and will fit very well in to the roster of high calibre eateries. They offer Siu Long Bao (aka soup dumplings) which is a rare dim sum in this part of the world which just highlights their commitment to providing authentic and high quality chinese food despite the labour intensive process. As a member of a Chinese/British family I would love to see this restaurant grow.

The food was actually very good. We were a little disappointed with the service because one person got their food 20 minutes earlier than the other. In addition, the staff poured soy sauce over a white sweater and acted as if nothing had happened and unfortunately there was no compensation. We immediately pointed out the stains to the waitress… but unfortunately nothing. Very unfortunate..

It’s especially delicious. The boss’s cooking is very Cantonese, especially the medieval chicken. The mixture of sweet and sour sauce is perfect! The boss was also very nice and gave us shrimp crackers before leaving! The xiaolongbao is also delicious!

The owner was very rude, arrogant, and unwelcoming. The dishes were literally thrown on the side of the table with plastic boxes. Do not serve if you will act like your customers are a burden for you. I do not recommend this place, since the food was also below standards.

Very tasty Chinese food. Good price. Served very quickly! I ordered the double cooked pork belly and it was juicy, spicy and full of flavour! I especially like the black beans that were added to it! I also had the sweet and sour chicken which has a unique taste the sauce has a tropical taste to it I think it must be the pineapple?

The food was quite good, the salt and pepper tofu was delightful as where the other dishes I ordered.

Please avoid at all costs. I ordered via Uber Eats, and the portion was terribly small. I ordered the pork siew mai, Chinese pork porridge with preserved egg, and a chicken sweetcorn soup 1. Food was very high in MSG. - all the food that I've ordered was high in MSG, which irritates your throat terribly. Someone mentioned this in one of the one-star reviews, I ordered despite reading that review, and my food tasted indeed like what the MSG review guy said. 2. Chinese Pork porridge with preserved egg - my porridge had no traces of pork AT ALL. LOL. Terrible. Believe it or not, there is NO pork at all, I even went back to check my order to confirm that the order didn't read "porridge with preserved egg". Not sure if the owner wants to argue, but the bowl of porridge I received had NO PORK AT ALL. - pathetically small portion (see picture), this was 5.90 pounds. 3. Hygiene issues - found a fly (see picture). It is obviously a fly. Don't even argue.

AVOID. Served leftovers. I ordered a pot of jasmine tea and was served a pot of tea that had already been brewed for and drank by another customer i.e., when served, the pot of tea was simply topped up with a bit of hot water, without changing the tea leaves. When I requested for a fresh pot to be made, the waitress just added a sprinkle of tea leaves. Because of that, the tea was neither hot nor have any flavour. Totally unacceptable to recycle tea for another customer in such a way, given the health and safety risks arising from the tea having been drank by another customer.

The food was DELICIOUS! I came here with my grandparents. My Grandad is a chef, and I haven't seen him smile this much at restaurant food in a very long time. Very polite table service, and a lovely atmosphere fit for a family run restaurant. I will be coming again!

The food was all exceptionally good, I recommend the pancakes! The staff is sooo nice. I left my headphone at the restaurant but he kept tit well for me and I got my headphone back with his help. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and kind :)

Food was authentic and tasty. It didn't really fit my personal taste (I would have rather likes more sauce on my main) but it meets the budget of being a ~5 star field. Atmosphere was modern, but a tad dirty and worn along the edges. Light Chinese pop music played in the background, interrupted by the back-of-house ringing a bell to indicate meal service or distant yelling from the kitchen. As noted by a scribbled paper on the till, the restaurant explicitly refuses Amex cards however at the bill, they declined to accept my Visa credit card. Google listing indicates credit cards as accepted, but I would advise to be weary for unprepared travelers. Otherwise, service was prompt if not a tad rude for using McDonald's as an example to explain a point to someone with an American accent placing an order. It was an okay meal, but I honestly wouldn't suggest a visit or revisit unless you're really looking for Authentic Chinese and willing to forgive minor service hiccups.

This is a hidden gem of Edinburgh. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone visiting the city. It’s family-owned, authentic Chinese food. The server is super attentive and friendly, and the food was amazing. We went for lunch and I got the beef hot pot - DELICIOUS. We even went back for seconds late at night and they welcomed us in like we were regulars.

Best restaurant in town and they stay open til midnight 12am unlike other restaurants who shut at 10pm. Go there for the best food at competitive prices.

Ordering boiled fish is not only unpalatable, but you also get pieces of paper🤮 After calling their manager, the manager came to our table to see what was going on. He took this one away and we were afraid that he would take it back to the kitchen and reheat it. Just quickly say that we don’t want to eat this fish and we will order other dishes. I ordered boiled beef. Halfway through the meal, the manager came again. Stick it to my face and tell me it’s a clean piece of paper. It’s the kitchen label. I'm about to roll my eyes. What label do you have? Should it be in the dish? The manager asked again, did we tear the outer packaging of the tableware and it fell in? The translation of this is that this is just a label and cannot be eaten. Our store also suspects that you threw the paper in there yourself and wants to waive the order. Acabo de terminar mi comida y fue literalmente increíble de principio a fin. Tenía calamares fríos y albóndigas Sui mai para empezar y el. Sopa de fideos de pato asado para la principal. Todo fue increíble - calamar perfectamente cocinado y sazonado. Las albóndigas tenían un gran sabor y textura. La sopa de pato era mi favorita - era tan sabrosa y la cantidad perfecta de calor para ser agradable pero no abrumadoramente picante. El personal es encantador - fueron más allá para ser acogedor y amable. Super útil con mis alergias. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente!

Food was ok. Definitely a few things I would be curious to try, but perhaps not in a dinner setting. Portions were a bit small, but very well presented: - sweet and sour fish - think frozen fish might be a bit mushy, and odd taste - beef fried ho fan - really good. Would be a good lunch dish and a drink. Maybe some sides - salt and chili squid - great batter, perhaps lacking in the salt and chili taste. Really crunchy - salt and chili wings - lacking in salt and chili taste. Because they may have been fried from cooked, they were slightly overcooked - morning glory and fermented tofu - just small portion. But quite well cooked. Just no chili peppers. - braised lamb in hotpot - this is another star of the show. Ignoring the portion. Really tender, well seasoned, and aromatic

Bad service, bad food. They try to persuade people not to use card machine for paying. I don’t think this is right and proper for tax law.

Beautiful place, incredible customer service and the owner taking our orders, giving advice on the food and telling what ingredients are the most fresh! The food quality is amazing, full of flavor and great presentation. Will come back again and 100% recommended

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Seriously bad restaurant from service to food quality. I only asked the waiter how good was the dumpling, he went 'how would I tell? Everyone has different options'. And similar conversation happened a few minutes, so I had to tell him to stop being rude to us. And at the end, he added 10% service charge onto the bill, was that a joke? Did he provide any service to us? And the food quality was also bad. 18 pounds of sea food soup, you only get a few frozen prawns, squid, tofu and a bit leaves, completely tasteless. Glad that we went to the other Chinese restaurant just across the road next day, so so so much better.

I went here on Monday evening to get food after a concert... the food is amazing... I loved the presentation of the dry pot, and the seaweed and egg soup is probably the best soup I've ever tasted... I will be coming here again
