Been getting takeaways monthly for last three years. Only once was the food slightly below the constant high par - guess main chef was off that day. Recently enjoyed a sit in meal here too and look forward to doing so again soon. Staff nice and friendly.

Ever since I discovered this place through a friend I have been coming here once a week because that food is just amazing and for a very reasonal price.

I ordered a take away on Monday I ordered bbq spare ribs and also beef chow mien I was so disappointed with the food I binned it all, the bbq sauce was lumpy and light in colour, and my chow mien had lots of veg in it carrots corn some other veg like turnip yuc with spongy beef no thanks I just binned it all never again it’s put me off ordering any take away at this time a waste of money

This was one of our favourite takeaways. Got a takeaway recently. Sadly the standard of food was not as good as it used to be. Maybe it was just an off day, hopefully that’s all it was. So disappointed!

Absolutely delicious! Ordered the chicken curry, egg fried rice and crispy chicken. Staff polite, friendly and only waited 15 minutes for takeaway. Could smell their delicious cooking wafting up the main high street!😋

We ordered our food at peak time on Boxing Day and it arrived within 15 mins. Such great, friendly service over the phone and from those delivering. Food was hot, crispy and delicious. Popular for a reason!

Lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, a lovely selection of dishes, all of which we had were delicious, and some absolutely brilliant service. Can't recommend enough.

Quick prep times and the staff were very nice when I went to pick up the order. Chips had seen better days but everything else was great. I enjoyed my chicken dish and the muscles. Cheers. Also they give you a big bag of free prawn crackers with your order if it's over 20 quid.

The service was great and friendly. The food was delicious and good sized portions. You will not leave hungry. I had the chicken in orange sauce and fried rice. It was moist and just enough tangy orange sauce.

We have been going here for around 18 months now and at first we loved it. Food was great and the service was good but never friendly from the older lady. Then an older gentleman arrived and started serving however he is rude and never friendly to anyone. Every thing to him is a problem. The food is not as good as it once was and the service is definitely lacking. The restaurant is always cold and could do with a freshen up. It’s a shame as it used to be so good. Oh and the beer is always like warm.

A very tasty dinner, we bought 4 king prawn choi mein and 2 special satay (king prawn, chicken, Beef and char siu). Big portions, very kind and welcoming staff 😊. We would like to try the other dishes!

El servicio fue rápido y amable, el plato mixto fue agradable, ella tenía chow mein de pollo pero no la servían como estaba acostumbrada. Tuve pollo agridulce al estilo cantonés. El pollo estaba delicioso pero le faltaba salsa y el arroz no era mi favorito. Parecía un poco caro para lo que obtuvimos. Tried several places and this is the best Chinese restaurant & take away in the area by far.

We have just had a takeaway from here. It was absolutely awful. We both had crispy chilli chicken. The chicken tasted and looked like it was cooked on Monday and reheated every day until Saturday.

After deciding where to eat one of us said "You should talk with a friend today", some responded with "he who makes mistakes never did anything worthy" so we went, thoroughly enjoyed it and made it to the end of the line. Turns out there's a good chance if a romantic encounter soon. Five star, nothing is gonna change my love for this restaurant

Both of us really enjoyed the food. The sizzling beef with garlic, peppers and blck ben suace was amazing. The meat was so tender. Partner had the same dish but vegan version. There were several vegan options available. Great potion sizes, big :). Fried rice was yum. Would recommend this place.

La peor comida para siempre. Huevo de arroz frito aletargado y sin sabor. Fideos secos. Crispy Chilly Chicken soggy no es una pieza crujiente y tiene una salsa aceitosa y tiene un sabor agridulce. El pollo agridulce tenía un sabor horrible y la mezcla empapada. Si viviera más cerca les devolvería la comida. Sin embargo, ahora está en la papelera.

Desde la sopa caliente y amarga, hasta el pato crujiente y el chow mein, no me puedo quejar. ¡2 días después y volvimos a tener ganas! : D Cometimos el error, ya que Bamboo estaba cerrado, para visitar otro establecimiento. ¡Ojalá hubiéramos esperado! No creo que nada se acerque ahora. ¡Absolutamente delicioso!

Had takeaway tonight from this place. Awful. More fat than meat (supposed to be Char Sui pork) and generally the dish was significantly over salted. Couldn’t eat it. Won’t order again.

Entramos y fuimos recibidos por cálidas sonrisas. Nos pusieron servilletas y ordenamos comida. Después de comer nuestra comida rápida pero excelente, todo parecía ir cuesta abajo. Un grupo de amigos, y una familia que ya estaba allí, ordenaron, comieron y pagaron sus cuentas antes de que pudiéramos pedirle a alguien lo nuestro. Nos siguieron evitando, cada vez que intentábamos llamar su atención. Luego el lugar se llenó, más personas obtuvieron su comida y finalmente fueron a buscar la factura. El servicio era un desastre, ya que queríamos dividir la cuenta, y habríamos sabido antes si se hubieran escapado antes de que pudiéramos preguntar. Luego nos preguntó qué habíamos pedido, y luego la máquina de tarjetas no funcionaba. Obviamente se estaban poniendo nerviosos, pero terminamos saliendo casi 45 minutos después de haber terminado. No se lo recomendaré a nadie.

Absolutely the most disgusting takeaway ever had. I've eaten here before and had takeaway's before and never had a problem. Tonight my partner asked for a chicken curry and I have no idea what he got but certainly not curry, he had to bin it as looked and tasted awful. I asked for chef's Special Crispy Shredded Chicken in a Sweet & Chilli Sauce . It was swimming in something I can only describe as dirty oil and tasted like it was cooked in an old fryer, the small amount I had left a film of grease in my mouth and mine too went in the bin. Both meals and delivery were £16.40. Money down the drain and left hungry.

We regularly use bamboo for a Saturday night takeaway. It’s worth the trip across the bridge as it’s head and shoulders above our locals in the nearby town.

Tuve cóctel de gambas para empezar, sin embargo no fue el mejor cóctel de gambas que he tenido. Probablemente más que ver con el tipo de salsa más que cualquier otra cosa, ya que hay muchas versiones que pueden ser realizados. Para el plato principal que tenía el crujiente pollo frito con arroz frito, que viene con una salsa de chili dulce. Este plato era excelente y estaba muy bien presentado. Visited here on a Saturday evening for a nice meal. The food was very good but it was a very rushed affair. In and out in 40 minutes for two courses and drinks. The food was excellent but service no so. Plates banged on table by short sharp service.waitress rushing everything. Even saw her grab a napkin from a child’s head at another table.

Easily accessible restaurant with carpark nearby. Large comprehensive menu, friendly staff, very clean. The mixed starter platter was excellent. So were the sizzling dishes. Would definitely go back again.

Whether we've sat in or taken away we have never been disappointed. Food is always amazing and staff are forever wanting to help. I understand that others may have had a bad experience, but I truly believe it's how the staff handle the situation that proves they may be just having an off day. If they couldn't care and charged you full whack, then they do this daily. When they apologise and refund it clearly isn't a normal day, after all how could you reduce bills and still be in business.

Bamboo Chinese restaurant is situated next to the Scotmid supermarket ( plenty of parking space ) in South Queensferry. Wishing you to have a meal in, or take it away, you will not be disappointed. The food is fresh, excellent cooked, tasty, well presented and in big portions. The restaurant is nicely decorated, clean and the service very good and attentive. We were a party of six, we ordered starters and mains, all dishes arrived on time served with a smile. Full stocked bar and a good wine list, we had a great meal. Highly recommented.

From start to finish I loved this Chinese. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic.

It was an absolute surprises for my wife and I after a long day in South Queen Ferry. The resturant staffs were very helpful and the food arrived very quickly. The size of the food were so big that we almost couldn't finish them. The food were just brilliant and well presented. The staff were always in sight and they always helpful. We will definitely be back if we go back to South queen ferry. Highly recommended!!

Visited yesterday with family visiting from England. Live through in Fife and have been looking for a really good Chinese restaurant a manageable distance from home and came across Bamboo on trip advisor. Menu had everything you would want. Food was very fresh and tasty. Service was great and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

I visited with my 8 month old daughter and family last week and was blown away by the service received. The staff were lovely and the food tasted so fresh it was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant looked warm and inviting. Would deffenatly recommend and I will be returning with my husband for my birthday in December.

Cuatro de nosotros disfrutamos de las comidas en el restaurante bambú en la tarde del lunes, y pensamos que el servicio era muy bueno. Sin duda volveremos para más basada en esta experiencia. El único inconveniente era basura fuera del restaurante, que no dar a nuestros amigos una gran impresión a la llegada.

Have used this restaurant many times, but tonight was the worst I have ever had. Ordered the 2 Roast had it before wonderful, tonight I got very dry meat sure it was cooked yesterday, if they had served it up to me sitting in it would have gone back immediately, however on a delivery not easy to do, so in the bin it went

Unless you have just won the lottery don't buy a drink, service is ok and have been several times now as the food is good always but the price of drinks puts you off, we just paid £8 for two pints of soda & lime !!!!! Then every now and again their card machine is broken and can only take cash !!!!!!

Waited several minutes for a table despite the restaurant being less than half empty.Seated and ordered a drink (nothing for children other than fresh orange juice) and asked if it was possible to get a smaller or child's portion of a main meal.Was told rather abruptly that they did not and all meals were in the menu.I then asked for a main meal for me and ordered 3 side dishes for my son and was told that they would not do that. I could order a main meal to share or a separate main meal for him but they would not serve a main meal with various side dishes and if that was what we wanted we could order a takeaway.Absolutely disgusted at the manner in which we were dealt with. Obviously these people make so much money they don't want passing business or have any desire to serve families or anyone with a child.We just travelled over 100 miles, checked in at the local Premier Inn and my son wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant. Disgraceful!!

I have been here a few times and have to say the restaurant is waaaaay better than their takeaway. Always seems relaxed, friendly and the staff happy to help. Food lives up to expectations, tasty, fresh and portions enough for me to just about squeeze out the door afterwards. Prices are reasonable and no complaints for their food or service.Will be back soon.

8 of us arrived having booked only 2 hours earlier. Friendly greeting and straight to well set out table. From ordering food arrived very quickly for so big a party yet every dish from pancake rolles to satey looked and tasted freshly cooked. Main courses all excellent and huge portions. Staff friendly and attentive and prices very reasonable. Will go again.

Am so delighted that we have such a great chinese restaurant within travelling distance from Dunfermline.Everytime we have visited whether for a sit down meal or takeaway the food has been excellent and the service very speedy and attentative.The prawn crackers are great - the food is great, the place is spotless and the fortune cookies at the end are really nice (which I never thought I would say!).Generous portions and good value for money.I would not hestiate to recommend this Chinese to everyone and just wihs that we had one in Dunfermline or they delivered.

Delicious cashew chicken - was a generous portion. This restaurant is really nice and quite small, you can see the kitchen from your seat and it feels like a friend cooking for you in their home. Super cheap too- main was about 80 Baht. Definitely recommend :D

Visited here with my 83 year old mother and my husband and for my mother's birthday. We didn't book a table and arrived hoping that we could get a table. We ordered from the early bird banquet which was good value for money. Service was excellent, food was outstanding, portions sizes were of an adequate size for all of us. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good Chinese food.

Had a lovely surprise evening out at The Bamboo Restaurant. I am disabled & there's always a worry when going out to eat in restaurants, but I didn't need to worry on this occasion. Starting with it having an easy access entry door, there was plenty of room between tables & an easy access bathroom which includes a baby changing area.Our waitress was lovely, very attentive to our needs, she gave us plenty of time to choose our meals. Our meals were excellent, my partner's beef was succulent, hot & spicy (just what he'd ordered). My meal was Mango Chicken, it was wonderful, moist & full of flavour. I will definitely go back there, there's a lot of Menu that I need to try !
