What a great surprise this dim sum bar was! Really good authentic cooking. Everything came out quickly, in a timely way, and piping hot. Very tasty, we all loved it and would definitely go back. Reasonably priced for the fantastic quality it was.

Delicious Dim Sum. It’s really hard to find authentic canton food in Edinburgh but this is a proper classic hole in the wall restaurant. The cheung fun and dumplings were all really tasty and came out piping hot. The service was great, it seemed family run and the friendly, smiley server was attentive and sweetly showing the younger members of the family how to serve drinks. Can’t wait to go back.

Was a low key affair. The dim sum was okay but def not to Hong Hong standards we have experienced here in the UK before. The beef noodle dish dish was good. Fried dishes were still oily so insufficient draining of the oil used. Trip Adviser had this as one of the best. I hate to see the rest!

Came here on a date night after finding it on google maps. Wow what a lovely little hidden gem off of Leith Walk. We are currently on a food journey exploring different authentic cuisines and Stack Dim Sum was just that! We tried the Char Siu Bun- which was fluffy and sweet and succulent. Slow Braised Chicken Claw in Black Bean- which was flavourful, succulent again and different! The Vietnamese spring roll was one of our favourites which came with fresh lettuce on the side. The wager crispy prawn soya skin roll was served with Worcestershire sauce and had delicious prawn inside! My favourite was the Slow Braise Cubed Beef in rich chi hou sauce with noodles! All food came fast, fresh and very hot! Atmosphere is quiet and almost private but for a date night it’s lovely to just sit and eat and enjoy your meal together! Altogether with two coca-colas was £37! Very reasonable, lovely staff, definitely will come back with a bigger crowd!

If you value your time, I do not recommend going. It’s not near the city centre, we spent 15 minutes in Cap to come here. We expected a lovely meal, but the waiting time for food was way too long. I waited for 40 minutes and still haven’t had food. We decided to leave at the end and take all the food we paid away. One plastic bag was very oily, so I kindly asked if I could get another clean bag. The waitress had let me wait for 2 more minutes and then asked for another £10p for the takeaway bag. Take people you hate to this place, or don't let this stupid place ruin your day.

I LOVE this restaurant. Delicious dim sum, loved the soft, luscious texture of the wrappers, and juicy, flavorful fillings. The stack special king prawn dumplings were divine, the soy skin steamed rolls were good too. The Siu lun bao were delicious, but less juicy than we hoped. The stars of the show were the deep fried fun gor and the Cantonese pot stickers though. Again, deliciously flavorful fillings, wrappers with interesting textures. Very helpful, friendly service. Oooh really good dim sum! Everything we had ordered was on point, especially the highly recommended braised pork and preserved veg steam pot rice! The pork belly was meltingly soft and it’s sauce went so well with the steamed rice which had absorbed the umami flavour of the beautiful fat and the preserved veg gave the perfect saltiness and crunch to cut through the richness of the dish. The service was super friendly and seating by really cosy, so the owners were very personable, chatting with us and giving us great recommendations. We could see that all the tables around us had happy smiles on all the faces as we all keep reaching for the menu to order more and more dishes after eating each delicious morsel. The only negative was the Quick fried beef hot fun which although was ok tasty, was a tad oily and there were still chunks of the rice noodles that were stuck together. The dish was lackluster and I felt it could have been done with more beef (small thin pieces that were abiT overcooked) and noodles looser (not in chunks) But overall, def a great place! Next time I wanna try all their Steam pot rice!!

I went Edinburgh from Midland to visit friends and I met this shop for dinner. After I tried it, I would definitely not introduce friends. The level of food is subjective, it is neither good nor bad. I will not give a negative evaluation if I have nothing to do with my body after eating, and I will not waste it if I am full. But the service attitude of the waiter, I have never experienced this unhappy encounter in the UK. The customer ordered unknown food content, and the waiter did not answer. Dim sum should be served hot, and the waiter will reply with a one-time order. When the tea was low, I asked the waiter to add tea, and the waiter actually said to the guests "lower the teapot". After trying the food, I found that most of the reviews were negative, mainly due to the attitude of the waiters, and the store did not respond.

I like Asian food, I am a fond explorer of every possible food related to any possible culture. I spent the night actually being sick after eating at this restaurant, I won't bother getting a refund since it's cash paid... May that be the reason? I'm sad I have to put this review, a couple of dishes were actually decent, the others feel like they are not even trying; after going to the atm just to eat here we felt a bit cheated on. The noodles with broth was tasteless and I think I tasted better broth made with stock cubes. Some of the dumplings didn't feel good, had no taste and the consistency made me nauseous. The miss (owner, and/or waitress) is not the most expansive, I would suggest someone actually not bothered to take care of two tables and being ok answering questions or receiving payment (we felt like we were bothering even giving the money) I personally avoided, but the friend dining with me left the toilets kind of gutted You can say that: it's cheap. Though I've been eating better for cheaper.

Doesn't even deserved any star (too bad I can only hit the least star!). The entire shop was shabby and dirty. Dirty toilets too!! These was the few things that killed my appetite from the start. The lady that was taking orders and serving, should really be more service oriented. Her way and styles of responding to any customers in the shop during our entire time there was shockingly rude, indefinite she's the owner/ boss or not but her one of the kind attitude was absolutely speechless! Over hearing her answering our next table customer made my jaws dropped let alone her sulking attitudes that she gave my husband from the start till end and yet we still have to keep to our composure and being civilised!! That was our first visit and will also be our last. At any given time if our daughter was not with us, we will surely had walked off despite reservation made but we had to stick to it as not disappointing her. We believed all the praising reviews to this shop might not even be genuine as the way this lady serves alone are intolerable. No one deserves that kind of services. Definitely not a place to be for a sane person!

Tried lots of dishes off the menu and couple of things were really tasty but some of them were surprisingly bland, including both the pork and the beef stew. Seemed odd to receive ketchup as a dip with dumplings, and then what tasted exactly like Worcester sauce with duck spring rolls. Had to ask for soy sauce, chili sauce and was given tiny little dish of each. Our soft drinks were from multi packs and flat from the can. Despite a pleasant initial greeting where the hostess sprayed antibac gel into our hands, the rest of the service was not attentive- waitress seemed stunned when asked what was good on the menu and didn't really engage with us. She just circled nearly everything on the paper menu. Couldn't catch her attention once during the meal despite it being a tiny place. The older waitress seemed to be very strict with the younger one so probably she just hates working there and felt bit sorry for her. We left a tip regardless and staff didn't even say goodbye or thanks for the custom, despite there being only two tables of customers. The bill was expensive for what it was as well. Have been so excited to try this place and hoped it would become a regular dinner spot but sadly was just not worth it.

Good dim sum, some stuff obviously not fresh but some good. Overall, the best you can expect in Scotland at this price point. Lost a star because of the lack of cleanliness, I mean how difficult is it to hoover the floor before the first customer of the day comes in? The bluntness of the lady who runs it is very normal in Hong Kong where I’ve lived, but not as polite as we’d expect in Scotland. She did however offer the wee baby at the table next to us an Easter egg, which shows she’s caring, albeit very direct.

Ive been coming here on and off for over 10 years. The food is alright and reasonably priced however it's not as good in taste as nanyang. this is definitely the sort of place you just eat and go. There is virtually no atmosphere and it can be intimidating as its a small place. The food doesn't come out quick though and is reasonably priced.

I ordered a special curry with fried rice. Price £11:50.. it's a bit on the high end for my liking. I asked for it extra spicy. green chillies were added 👌 Beef, pork chicken, and prawns were all tasty. The pork was a bit tough. No biggy. Overall, it was good,i would consider getting it again.. but I can get it £1.50p cheaper elsewhere.
