Soup was cold so was all the selection of food . Bread was stale . Had a bad experience today as its usually my favourite place to go. Big let down with cold food on a Friday afternoon

You get what you paid for. Food was freshly made, takeaway type of dishes but that's what you'd expect. Low selection of drinks but you can find one to your liking.

Good range of food, thought it was a bit pricey though at £22.

Lovely range of food and the fact you have as much as you can have is brilliant also the staff are all so nice and hard working I would definitely recommend to friends and family and will continue to enjoy the service

The food is good and the staff are friendly but what we cannot get our head around is just how incredible the pizza is! It has no business being this good for a Chinese restaurant and might be some of the best pizza in Edinburgh. We as a band are low-key obsessed with it and talk of it fondly. Whoever you are Beijing Banquet pizza-chef, you have guestlist for life ❤️

Food was fresh and really tasty wide variety also really good value for money

Food is enjoyable and is a fair price. My only issue with Beijing banquet is that it can be difficult to park your car there if they are busy.

Had a lovely lunch with friends in here a great range of food from soups to Chinese food to pasta the dessert station what amazing cakes. Drinks a little pricey but unlimited refills on soft drinks. And a service charge added at the end of bill

Very disappointed, booked a table for 14 people for 7pm. Closing time was 9:30pm. Chips were the only food that was topped up once we had arrived. All the trays of food were being cleaned and filled with water. Floor was being mopped around us at 8:30! Ice cream machine was off. Hardly any puddings left. Went to the toilets and all the toilets had been sprayed ready to clean. Again this was 8:15. Had to wait for a toilet to be cleaned and dried before we could use one. £310 and was honestly not worth it.

Amazing restaurant! The food was amazing, I was very surprised as I haven't had many good experiences with buffets in general. Really great range of starters, mains and desserts. The chocolate fountain and ice-cream machine were the cherry on top

Food is nice, but some popular items weren't refilled very quickly with a good 15 to 20 mins of waiting. Service is adequate. Atmosphere is loud and brash. Not a lot of privacy between tables as they've crammed as many into the space as possible. It's cheap, the food is nice but if you're looking for upmarket dining this isn't the place for you.

Very quiet but that was a Wednesday evening! Food was okay - good variety and quantity but the quality was nothing to write home about.

Food was very good, a good selection of Chinese food. Some confusion amongst staff whilst seating, but was swiftly resolved.

Fabulous food and great service

I’ve never been disappointed by the food and service here. It a great place to go with friends and family with a huge variety of food and desserts. They even have pizzas and pastas which are a hit with the kids. Would recommend going on weekends.

I love Chinese buffets restaurants and this one is one of my favourites. Good quality food and plenty of choice. Eat as much as you can.. and you can buy a take away box (different sizes) if you have some at home who couldn't come (like it was in my case).

We went on a Sunday lunchtime. This place is amazing! Delicious food, fresh salads, clean place, smiley staff. Food is both Chinese and Western so our difficult little girl had a vast choice as well!

Superb selection on their Festive buffet. Only criticism would be more regular clearing of used plates.....that said, highly recommended for a great feed !

There with a large party, there was a private room, but not too private. We had a waiter to remove used dishes etc, altogether a pleasent experience.

Food was just ok, some of them were too dry and the quality of food was average. After my first round, I already had no idea what I wanted to get for another round. Hope they will provide dim sum.

One of the better all you can eat Chinese buffets. Many of the dishes were fresh and juicy with about 10% being a little dry (we went at the end of service on a Saturday and a Sunday). The selection is great with a few absolutely awesome dishes. Honey shredded chicken and satay chicken were extremely good!

Nice atmosphere and not too busy for a Monday evening. Food was lovely but no "currys" plenty of chicken dishes. Fab salad bar, chicken & sweetcorn soup was a bit gloopy and warm. A bit disappointing for the European dishes as it was macaroni & pizza. Still enjoyed it

Visited this place twice, first for lunch, then for dinner. Lunch was great, with a large selection of high quality food that was continuously replenished. Dinner, on the other hand, was a bit more disappointing. Firstly, they stopped replenishing the buffet 90 minutes before it closed, which I found a bit extreme - this meant that there were no cooked desserts, and many of the hot dishes were simply unavailable. Similarly, the staff started cleaning up at this time, and basically stood around as if they were desperate to leave. If this was 30 mins before closing I would totally understand, but this was over an hour and a half! Finally, I felt the bar staff were a little rude, either quite a cold attitude towards customers. I give 2 stars because my first experience was better, but for almost 50 pounds for 2, I was quite disappointed this time.

We arrived at 15:30 and the staff doesn’t want to service us, because was late when they close at 16:00 o’clock no making sense if close at 4 pm we told her we can eat in 30 minutes and she said to take away , it’s shame .

Food was delicious and so much variety, was kept topped up through all our sitting. Place kept very clean, was busy but staff were great and always clearing our table between meals and always smiling, they seemed a happy team. I have been here often and never been disappointed, will keep being a regular customer

We went for my mum's birthday as a party of 8. The food selection was vast, plus loads of meats! It was a gourmand's delight - seafood, poultry, pork, beef, an array of desserts with the yummiest cheesecake, chips, rice, sushi, bottomless drinks...and good music at an appropriate volume. I must mention the staff - courteous, kind, jovial... We had a blast! We had so much to eat and drink that I neglected to take pictures.

The food was excellent and there was a wide range to choose from. They managed to seat 16 of us together with less than an hour's notice. The staff were very friendly.

Tried here in Monday, had some chicken satay which had a massive hair on it, told the staff and was told that she would "let them know" never heard anything back... Went into main course and had the pork.. 4 pieces, 2 tasted a bit off and 2 tasted fine, wasn't sure if it was just my taste buds as my friend and partner had a piece on thier plate and theirs was fine, however Tuesday had sore belly and Tuesday night the food poisoning kicked in... In total I ate virtually nothing as my started plate was ruined by a hair and my main course was off.. So I had a half a glass of vimto, 2 spring rolls (which were really tasty) and a lovely bowl of Mr whippy ice cream... Total bill £96 for 4 people who ate virtually nothing and ended up 2 of us with food poisoning... I would say defo not worth the money, unless it's the hair that was the expensive added extra... Needless to say that none of us will be back to the Edinburgh branch, and my friends won't be returning to the Kilmarnock one either... Not even an apology from the manager regarding the hair, which is unacceptable... It wasn't even like it was a small hair... This thing was huge!!

Big selection of chinese food and dessert. The taste was not bad but I probably prefer to order normal a la carte chinese food as it taste a lot better but here you get to try a huge variety at a very affordable price

Nice enough and clean enough. We went quite late in the evening and the food was alright but not great. I wasnt expecting 5 star quisine though. Will go again if in the area.

Good food choices and everything is very clean! Food is warm and not cold and there’s so much choice! To top it off they are playing Taylor swift on repeat and it’s Taylor Version so 10/10 🫶🏻🫶🏻

We go hereeverytime it's a birthday, (, have gone since it opened=but on Thursday 19th Oct. We were very disappointed at the food, half was cold, other stuff like chips, Yorkshire puddings were all hard, I love the duck and pork which were both cold, chicken chow me in was bland, we also felt atmospheric was awful, staff were not working with each other, not conversing with anyone, we paid £66 for the bill but left still hungry and very disappointed, and vowed to never go back.

Booked table in advance on the website as it sometimes can get pretty busy. Specially during school breaks/holidays. Great service, fast and efficient. Plates took away as soon as you are finished. Food is fresh and hot. Great selection and also toilets were clean and tidy.

A buffet style Chinese meal, with several serveries offering many choices of meats, vegetables, rice and sweets, with bottomless soft drinks for less than £25 each. There were plenty of seats and service was perfectly reasonable. We very much enjoyed this meal and will return again.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. It was our daughters birthday and our party of 7 adults and 3 grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! There was a huge array of buffet food available which was delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive!! We will definitely be returning!!

I hate it at first and now am addicted to the place... I visit every weekends with my friends and sometimes family for nice meals.. the government needs to close Beijing Banquet to stop me from going there.

Shocked at the quality of the food. It had clearly all been sitting there for quite some time. The amount of sugar in the dishes was shocking also! Do NOT recommend. One of my friends was left with severe food poisoning for nearly a week- absolutely unacceptable.

Not worth paying £21.50 would be better going to a restaurant getting table service and hot food for a few £'s more.

Sorry, I have to say this, we went for a lunch and the food was rotten, we 4 of us went and all experienced diarrhoea, (we were driving and urge to get home to go to loo) This am talking about Beijing Banquet Edinburgh near to Nappier university, I wouldn't recommend this at all, spending around 80 pounds and point less, also experiencing bowel issues not good We have a Beijing Banquet in Renfrew and the food is much better over there

Except the Expresso..(may be I don't like it) Everything was good. You can find a large variety of foods here. Both Veg and non-veg are available. Between £15 to £20 for Lunch Between £20 to £22 for Dinner 🍽️

One of the nicest banquets we have been to. Very busy but coped well because of the spacious layout. Wonderful selection. Spoiled for choice in every area. Separate area for Mac cheese, pizzas etc.

Have visited several times previously. Quality always consistently good, buffet always well stocked, never any empty dishes. Good selection of Chinese cuisine alongside, pizza, pasta, tepanyaki, sushi and desserts. Slightly quieter than usual but still busy. Service is always efficient.

Great meal with large choice of dishes. Staff very friendly. Will be back.

We have always booked a table here so have never just dropped in, even on the same day within an hour of going, but the staff have always been helpful and the food has always been great with a good selection.
