Always a pleasure to come back here, amazing food, especially the fish pie, friendly staff that always makes me feel welcome, nice atmosphere

I am 80 years old and just went to Bills in Victoria for lunch. I am a regular at their various branches. They were very busy and the only table available was a 4 persons table upstairs. I have a serious problem wilh my knees and hips, which is visibly obvious, and we had a laugh about it with the manager because they had no lift. I climbed up the stairs and we settled in to out table. As the person with me and I were ready to order, we were told that we had to vacate our table because it was a table for 4 and they needed it for four people. We asked if that meant that our custom to them as two was not important to them, and we were given a categoric yes.. We said we would leave then and got arrogant and tongue in cheek ‘goodbye ’ from the manager and waiter. So much for Bill’s commitment to customer care, the elderly and the didabled. I hope that I am the only one who has experienced this, and will expetience this at their hands. It was horrible!

Me and my husband dined here this evening and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our server Joe was so welcoming and attentive. He made us chuckle throughout and made sure we were well looked after. The salmon pate was super tasty and my husband was a big fan of the bbq burger, particularly since it came with some bourbon whiskey too, how cheeky! Will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks again Joe you charming young man! :)

Nice place, no good for vegans. Waiters didn't understand what a vegan was, what condiments or wines they could serve. Shame.

Had a lovely experience at lunchtime, our waiter was Antonio. The manager who seated us was cheerful and polite. She found us a lovely booth even though we had no booking and it was the school holidays. The salmon and prawn cocktail starter was a very generous portion.

Place was amazing! Highly recommend. And our server, Antonio, was super nice and attentive.

I recently dined at Bill’s after a busy day around Richmond. We did not have a reservation and they offered us a table, which we appreciated considering that the place was pretty busy and they had several reservations on the books. The service was commendable, with attentive waitstaff who were quick to take our orders and ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable. We ordered halloumi as starter, which positively surprised us even though it was not as we expected. The sauce that came with the halloumi fries were tasty and a good surprise. The major issue we encountered was that one of our orders was mixed up. As mains we asked for paneer with spinach and lentils and the vegan burger, when the food came we realised that instead of paneer the dish had vegan chicken in it. We did not flag this to the staff because we were hungry and did not want to wait for a new dish. We believe that they run out of paneer so they added the vegan chicken (which was an option in the menu to make the dish vegan) - I would not have minded if they had asked me if I could take the vegan chicken but what disappointed me is that they changed it without asking. In conclusion, Bill’s offers decent food with a pleasant atmosphere and commendable service. While it may be worth a visit for the ambiance and friendly service, diners should temper their expectations when it comes to the culinary experience.

No wonder this place is fully booked every weekend! We went for a week day brunch recently, a rare treat for wife’s birthday. Manageress Zeta and her staff were all proper stars, friendly and attentive service from start to finish. Food and drinks were all great too. We hope to go back over Easter.

Fresh, hot, great taste. This Bill's is better than most. Excellent location and decor and a very friendly host welcomed us.

we had nice big brunch here the first time. the interior is good and food is nice. we got great arrangement by Antonio switching to the window side. enjoyed the nice river view

Came here for a work dinner on a weekday lunchtime. Had Burger and bills edible flowerpot. It was lovely, though I can't comment on the cost. Would come again.

March 2024 What a fantastic experience. Business meeting with the James Hunt Foundation and a few special Motorsport Athletes, we we're extremely impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere. 6 x Eggs Benedict Royal and they were ALL done to perfection.. Antonio and Joe took very good care of us and we're all looking forward to returning soon.

Bill's Richmond Restaurant is a lovely small, lively colourful restaurant near the banks of the river with views to Richmond Bridge, from some tables.  Visited at lunch time. It offers a good range of meals and we all enjoyed our choices. I had a Golden Latte is hard to describe!  It was lovely and unusually served in a double walled glass so it stayed hot for a long time. It is always very busy but despite this the service is pleasant and friendly. Booking recommended, especially in the evening.

Always been a fan of Bill’s restaurant, the food is very tasty and the portions are big too. Many options to choose from. However, when we entered the restaurant, the server asked the manager where she should allocate us, and the manager told the server in front of us “guys do not take people with no bookings, we cannot do that on Sunday”. We felt unwelcome because the restaurant was empty. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but they probably had 5-6 tables out of the whole restaurant. She could at least wait for us to be allocated somewhere first and then catch up with them… she was a bit rude. Overall the food was excellent and our server too.

Great dining experience. The service stuff was friendly, helpful and fast. We had a variety of starters to share, all of them were very tasty. Main courses are also very tasty and rich in flavour. I can strongly recommend the profiteroles tower as a dessert, its more than enough for two people and super yummy.

Delicious food (I had the truffle chicken) and good, attentive service without feeding hovvered over. Considering we dined on an evening where there has been 6 Nations rugby at Twickers and half the other diners were wearing red roses or shamrocks the atmosphere was very friendly and chilled.

Been to 4 different Bill’s as of now. Richmond one is the best to date. Had the bottomless pancakes, food was good, actually good and consistent sized portions unlike other Bills where they are half the size. Service was good too, was able to get in 5 portions in the allocated 1.5 hours, could have had 6 had I been able to eat more. Top Bill’s in my opinion.

Great service from Antonio. We initially walked into Megan's but were ignored but the rudest host so came to Bills. It was a different story - warm and welcoming.

The absolute best part of this dining experience was our waiter, John. He was charismatic, attentive, and made the food better just by giving it to us. I had the fish pie and banoffee Sunday and both were scrumptious. If there was an Olympics for waiter-ing, John would get many gold medals. The amount of plates and glasses he could hold in one trip is insanely impressive. Give that wonderful man a raise, please.

This is the best branch of Bill’s I have been to! The service is exceptional from the moment you walk. Friendly staff, clean tables, tasty food. The environment is family friendly. I understand why there are always queues to get in. Fortunately the wait is never too long but I do advise you to book a table in advance.

Chips all over the floor, service staff sitting around and not waiting us to a table, food bland and rubbish… just go Nando’s over the road for cheaper….

Food was tasty but you are paying upmarket prices it for lower quality food ie supermarket bread rather than artisanal, sauce from a bottle rather than made by the cafe etc. Unfortunately, the coffee was the worst I've ever had (and this is including what the work coffee machine spits out or the instant stuff grandparents drink). The service was mediocre and a couple times orders were forgotten, yet the pleasant atmosphere added a redeeming quality to the overall experience.

Food, drinks, and atmosphere were incredible here. Visiting with two small children from NYC we had a great experience with Antonio! He was so nice to us and the children. Will be coming back here next time we are in the area.

Servers are so lovely and good is great, definitely recommend!

We called in on a quiet evening with our dog. Staff were very friendly and welcoming - food was great and lovely surprise of the bill's flowerpot dessert when it came out. We even decided to go to Bill's in Kingston on Thames the next day because of this positive experience.

I really like this chain of restaurants but this particular branch has a terrible service, very unfriendly, the place is overflown and when we visited they had more little children than adults and it was like a zoo there. We had a booking but they didn’t consider our preferences and we had to sit basically at the table with other people with little kids and it was a total mess and so loud and terribly uncomfortable (even though they had several other tables free and when we asked to be moved they just said no), very disappointing!

I went to lunch with my families and we had great time there. We had set lunch and food is great and Antonio is a friendly and helpful staff and make the family gathering perfect.

We were a party of 12 and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious, the atmosphere and the service was great! All the staff were attentive and saw to our various needs (including changing and adding to the menu). A special shout out to Reggie, Manik (hopefully that's spelt right) and the woman in the royal blue blouse who gave my dog treats (you did much more than that but so that you know it's you!) Thank you SO much! My only (and I mean only) gripe about the place is trying to get a hold of the restaurant before we attended. It wasn't possible despite emailing and calling. I had my mother go in and physically give them a print out of our needs. That is the ONLY reason I've given it a 4/5. Other than that, we honestly had the best time! Thank you again. :)

Great location, nice decor. However, the food I and my friend ordered (pancakes with fruit / pancakes with fried chicken) tasted like they were quickly reheated from frozen (and they came suspiciously quickly enough for that to be the case), and my syrup tasted like salt. I’ve been to Bill’s in other locations before and the food was great, so I'm not sure if it was a one-off or if this branch is just disappointing.

Great service, accommodated 5 of us very quickly and all the food came out at the same time. Food quality was amazing, especially the N'duja meatballs, chicken shawarma and chilli bread. There was initially a mistake in our order, but the team made up for it very kindly and professionally. Mauik was very attentive and a great waiter.

I have been here for breakfast and brunch and the food is great and generous. The service is also very friendly and efficient. At my last visit we were extremely well taken care of by Antonio in particular, who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. A simply terrific place.

A friend and I ate there and opted for the set menu, which was £15.95 for two courses each. We paid separately and they had charged us an extra £3.98 each for a tip!! As far as I am aware the usual tip is 10% and the customer is offered the opportunity to refuse or choose their own amount!
