Got 2 custard vanilla slices this morning very soggy they must have been there from yesterday normally nice crisp normally spend about 20 pounds a week won't be back .

Such a lovely woman served us this morning. Sausage rolls are absolutely beautiful. The doughnut I got was really sweet, but absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. Will be back.

I went in couple hours ago today a lady who served me I ask her in politely can I get back because I am going my tram just in case i couldn’t carry it all then she went haha hmm like that Thinking I am of my head and stupid her being horrendous as well for some reason she need to be bit understanding as well when it comes to customers as well

Totally love picking up a pastry cake or a doughnut or two while passing by the shop. The smell of baking from the shop is amazing and automatically pulls you in. I liked the sweet items there more than the savoury ones and unfortunately since we can’t have different kinds of meat I couldn’t try the savoury pies.

Not open like advertised on Google false information costing people money just tryna reach em went here for years and feel effed over. Say your closed if you are. Also the food is basically a free passage to diarrhea street. Thats the only destination they get right consistently.

Amazing place an Edinburgh staple. Anyone who gives a bad review is salty I promise as a leith local I been going here for years great place for after hours food. If your expecting Greg's at 5 AM your dumb. Besides that enjoy babes.

I am not one for leaving a review but this place is a life saver late at night. After a friend and I raved the socks off ourselves at the Terminal V festival, we were ice cold and shivering whilst we tried to make our way back to the gaff. We hopped on the tram in town all the way to the last stop with no food in our bellies and hardly a light in the street, except one glowing ray of sunshine beaming from Storries Home Bakery at the last stop. It was similar to a light at the end of a tunnel and just like a moth to a flame, we were straight in. Those warm sausage rolls and yummy pastries were what shielded us two ill-clothed, frozen beans from the cold as we meandered home. Storries Home Bakery may not be fanciest bakery in the world, but they are a haven of warm pastry goodness—a hug in food form, like the one you always wanted from your parents but never quite got and in my eyes, that makes it worthy of the five stars. Keep up the lords work, by saving our lost raving souls 🤘

Got a some doughnuts and a tart but the old woman just used her hand with rings on and didn't use a glove or tongs. Coughed a bit after too. Not very hygenic.

There's a new woman who works there who is intollerably rude (unlike the rest of staff who are lovely). She has barked at me the last two times I have gone, the last time extremely aggressively. Won't go back when she's there. Too bad, cause the pies are so good!

Love it, it's a staple that should live on for all eternity as far as I'm concerned. However... the doner kebab pie is not a pie that should be stalked on a regular basis. Just my opinion, I'm not a massive fan of it.

Steak pie was gravy, no meat at all. Previous pie had a chunk of cardboard packaging inside.

I used to go to this place, but everything is over priced by 150%. There's nothing special about the taste, prob outsourced ..some of the cakes tastes out of date. I don't recommend going to Storries, complete rip-off. The dude serving is sour faced borderline rude... obviously, due to the rip-and less selection. Better off at the supermarkets save atleast 40% for same stuff. What a shame, used to be a decent place once upon a time.

Whether it’s one of their varied and tasty pies or a sweet treat this place won’t let ye down. Lost track the amount of times I’ve stumbled in at 3AM not only to get a nice scran but class customer service as well.

It was 5 in the morning and I was going to wait for the tram to the airport. Just in front of the tram spot I noticed this bakery open. Reminded me of my father, a home baker back in Italy, and decided to enter. A fantastic authentic place with freshly made salty and sweet products. I bought a Scotch pie, a beef pasty and an apple pie for 4.60 pounds. They reminded me of my father's as they were excellent! The only problem is that I couldn't resist the smell and had them all in five minutes...

The bakery is amazing, staff is very polite and likes a banter and the food is always good, love the place,take care, take away.

Just stumbled in to this lovely shop during a walk and had to come down from Musselburgh days later to have the Doner kebab Pie and Lasagna Pie again! So homemade and rich. Worth every penny!

A great late night bakery with a superb selection and full shelves. Worth a visit if you're down Leith area late at night on your way home. Lasagne pies are my go to and cream buns are very good too.

The staff member is brilliant to deal with as she is very comical an has a laugh with customers while serving, The food is made fresh throughout the night in store so cannot fault it one bit, You have the option of hot food an cold food so a brilliant stop after a night out or while heading to work to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner…

Love everything but most of all their fantastic bran scones!! I live outside Edinburgh but still travel in for them. When My nieces are up from England on holiday they visit a few times and take many things back with them.

As far as steak pies from a bakery go...I would say it's the best I've had!

Exactly what I want from a bakery. No-nonsense well-baked pies, donuts, and pastries. Got 3 butteries, a bridie, and a donut and paid under £4 for the lot. All exceptionally flaky and flavourful or rich and soft where appropriate.

Defo not open 24hrs a day as stood outside with the shutters down, 9pm, Saturday

Great that this place is open 24/7 but got 2 pies and two cakes and was over £6. Ridiculous. The meat content in the steak pie is also very low. If you need a late night meal, then maybe. But there are many other superior bakers at all other times if the day in close reach

Over the years I have yearned for a sausage roll in which every layer of pastry gets cooked. A sausage roll which positively explodes with flakiness........Storries delivers this with with a tasty sausage filling. An absolute messy delight! I'll update on some other products when I go back. My dad says the pies are tasty.

Great reviews but I got a pastry and the woman didn't use any gloves or tongs. For some reason I ate it and it was very very stale.

I haven't been to this bakery, may be I was passing through this store and the GPS location took the place and it asked me to review the place. However I have heard that this place is good and food is tasty.

Love this bakery He just done me 12 apple turnovers without sugar on I had 1 and it was delicious Pies, sausage rolls, and bridies all worth getting there for I'm diabetic reason for no sugar.

A bit of living history, this. I lived in Leith from the mid-80's through the mid-00's, and grabbing a couple of Storries rolls was a frequent tradition.

This Baker tries hard to keep up with demand as his wares are so good

The lasagna pie for the meat eaters, vegan sausage rolls for the non meat eaters, and custard filled donuts are all absolute perfection. Helpful and friendly staff, and they always seem to be open when my cravings need them most! (Pic of a lasagna pie used as a bday cake)

Stumbled across this hidden gem at 1am last night and couldn't believe we'd found such a place! The lady who served us was lovely and the food was incredible. They also have plenty of vegan options. I will definitely be going back and couldn't recommend this place enough.

Customer service and the food was extremely tasty. Staff accommodated us very well. Really good prices. I would rate this shop better than the big name/popular coffee shops.
