The cocktails are a work of art. We took a cocktail of each category and none disappointed. The Osaka spritz was the favourite. The venue itself is really nice, music isn't too loud so conversation was very easy and the staff were super.

Experience! Really good and tasty. We‘ll come back.

This is amazing for cocktails, there really isn't anywhere close in Edinburgh I've been. Booking is a must for the weekend as it's very busy but doesn't detract from the atmosphere.

Enjoyable place for a drink, extensive drinks menu, friendly staff, nice and clean. Probably better to book ahead at busy times, which we didn't. But they did manage to get us a table which was appreciated

Had our first visit in this bar and it was brilliant, lovely and helpful staff, atmosphere was really nice I feel like I was in 90’s speakeasy bar back in prohibition. Cocktail was really interesting, I love the techniques and also garnishes of the drinks. 10/10 recommend. Top 30 best bar on the world well deserved.

After seeing a lot of TikTok videos and good reviews about Panda and sons we decided to pass by last night (Oct 30,2024). The barber shop cover entrance and the way down to the secret door was such a beautiful experience and we found it very creative! But… the drinks we ordered were ok and not that impressive! The slow service was so annoying as we had to wait for almost half an hour for hour drinks although the waitress was so friendly! The bill was a slam on the face! It was overpriced tbh for just regular well branded drinks! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I would never go back there!

I have never seen a bar like this, beautiful and all panda themed, welcoming and pleasant staff make you feel at ease, excellent quality drinks. I highly recommend going there.

Such a great place. Tucked under a barbershop sign, this place near downtown Edinburgh will stay in your heart. Perfect cocktails, trained and friendly bartenders, cheerful but at the same time discreet atmosphere. Simply awesome.

Charming speak easy style bar. Carefully crafted drinks made by professionals. Great details; no real food options other than chips & olives but overall a lovely experience. Drinks are worth every penny.

WOW. I'll admit I thought this was going to be one of those obnoxious yet trendy molecular mixology speakeasy cocktail bars. It may be trendy, it does use speakeasy kitsch, and does employ fancy technology for their drinks... but something about this particular spot draws it all together in a beautifully cohesive way. I mean, it's also got pandas everywhere. How can you be a hater when you're surrounded by pandas? First up was the woman at the door. She was awesome. We showed up with no reservation (MAKE A RESERVATION) but it was early in the evening so we didn't think we'd need one. It would have been a very good idea to have made one. Despite it being full, she managed to move some things around and squeeze us into a table. All the staff were great. Super helpful and accommodating. The drinks were outstanding. Really interesting flavours, textures, and presentation. I was a doubter until I tasted them. I don't normally even like rum but the Culture Club surprised me in the best way. I do love bananas so that helps. A lot of the cocktails seem simple in the menu when you look at ingredients, but the techniques really bring the drinks to a new level. I think some of the best cocktails are ones that know how to perfectly balance unique combinations of minimal ingredients in new ways. We had only been planning on one drink, but stayed for 2 more rounds. Amazing experience in every aspect. I can see why this place is consistently packed and has won so many accolades. I can't wait to try them again on my next visit.

One of my top 3 favorite bars to date. Came here last Christmas time and got lucky to get a bar seat right away. Bartenders were so friendly and the vibe is awesome. Drinks are exceptional. One of the better espresso martini’s I’ve had. This is a must visit when in Edinburgh

One of my favorite activities while traveling is to check out cocktail bars wherever I go. Panda & Sons was incredible for so many reasons - walkable location from many areas of Edinburgh, great decoration and overall vibe, amazing service, and most importantly exceptional cocktails. They use techniques many other bars don’t and the drinks are all filled with flavor without being overpowering or jarring. I can’t wait to come back and visit again someday. Thanks for an amazing last night in Scotland!

A bar in Edinburgh that makes great cocktails. I especially want to try all the signatures! If you like smoky whisky🥃, I definitely recommend birdcage! It's the best cocktail 😆

If you’re after cocktails that’ll make your taste buds do the Macarena and staff so friendly you’ll wonder if you’ve known them your whole life, this is the spot. Forget your average night out—get in here and let them serve up a great time with a side of laughter and a dash of charm. Trust me, you won’t leave thirsty or bored!

Unfortunately didn’t have a great experience. Despite booking a table at least a 1-2 weeks prior, we were sat quite literally at the door into the bar. This meant that the entire time we were there (we didn’t stay very long) it just felt we were in an entrance hallway - just people in and out behind me and speaking to the ‘hostess’. Additionally the table right by the door is directly under a huge speaker so couldn’t hear myself think, let alone my partner who I was trying to have a conversation with. A walk-in came in about 5 mins after us, and got a better table, that had just become free so we didn’t get a chance to ask for it. I feel that booked tables should be at least half-decent and the worse tables should be reserved for walk-ins. The atomosphere was loud/busy which is nice, but where we were sat felt very much outside of that - all I could hear/ experience was 1) the flow of people arriving and leaving and 2) the music which was extremely loud due to the speaker. The drink I had, (the daydreamer, I think) was nothing special at all tasted like water with touch of pineapple. Really wanted to enjoy this place, really really let down.

Beautiful and surprisingly spacious speakeasy turning out inventive cocktails. The menu is overwhelming. However our server was wonderful and after explaining the type of flavors I was after, he recommended the coconut daiquiri which was divine! I wish I could pick this bar up and plop it in my own hometown where I would no doubt be a regular.

Excellent cocktails with a huge variety of interesting options. The current menu is very thoughtfully organised with informative and adorable illustrations. We have been taking our guests here when they visit the city and everyone has been blown away. My only complaint is that the music is a bit too loud sometimes for the chill, speakeasy vibe they seem to be going for. But that may be a plus for some people!

I have become a devoted regular at Panda (I cannot believe I haven’t left a review for this place yet) but it is incredible! From the aesthetic and the speakeasy vibe, to the elevated cocktail menu and PHENOMENAL staff. This place is required for your visit to Edinburgh!

Its great, inventive cocktails, good service, good vibes. Ask for recomendations unless youre a boozehound. For cocktail lovers id still say ive had better but its still very much worth a visit here.

Absolutely Great, A top Cocktail bar. We were very curious about their cocktails, it is under Top 50 world. Tried four of them and were wow (try Red Panda). A must stop in Edinburgh. We will return and fully recommend it. They add +15% for the service

Three years ago I liked the creative design of the cocktails even more. The taste is still very good, but unfortunately very expensive for the small amount of drink. 3 cocktails cost us over €50. But it still seems to work: you can't get a seat here without a reservation.

What a cool spot! Had an awesome experience, the ambiance was wonderful, server was attentive and answered all of our questions about the drink menu. The drink menu had lots of unique options and we loved them all. Would go back in a heartbeat. We had Wilderness, Hands Up, Birdcage, Encanto Sour, Girvana, Osaka Cooler and all were amazing.

It’s been years since I have been here and it’s still one of the most memorable speakeasies I have ever been to. The entrance was well thought out and was such a fun experience.

While only in Edinburgh for two nights, I had to give Panda & Sons a try so I went for a solo visit and luckily there was a free table! A beautiful space with a great atmosphere. I ordered the Sharp Shooter which was delicious before moving on to a couple classics - the Last Word was marvellous :) thank you!

I heard this is a world-renowned bar, so I came to check it out. They only allow you a limited time to drink, but it's interesting because they use different techniques. You can see they have a manual and patented methods for making cocktails. Quite fascinating!

We had booked the Speakeasy experience well in advance. Everything is surprising and beautiful until you get inside. We said we had a reservation at the door and were taken to the sofa. After a while, we asked them to change the table because there were many doors and it was cold, and there were plenty of tables, and we were rejected :) After 10 minutes, we were called and asked about our reservation, when we said we were inside, they apologized for being taken to the sofa, but still our seats were not changed. It wasn't very nice.

Panda & Sons has been in my list for a while now and very happy to have tried it! We tried a couple of cocktails which were very well done. Amazing drinks, great atmosphere, I can’t even praise the staff enough, they were so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back!

I do wish we'd been able to stay longer than our allotted 1.5hr time slot, but that's my only complaint. The drink menu explains all the different science and processes they use in a fun and unpretentious way. While I enjoyed all the cocktails, the undisputed favorite was the Culture Club. Even if you don't like 'dessert' sounding drinks, I promise this one is the exception.

Took the opportunity to visit Panda & Sons twice while in Edinburgh. It has a great, low-key vibe, but you can tell it's a high-functioning operation. The welcome and service are top-notch - shout out to Cameron and Morgan! The cocktails are well-made and quite delicious; lots of choices. One disappointment was being charged more for a drink on the bill than was listed on the cocktail menu. Still, it's definitely worth the effort to visit. Cheers

What a fantastic place! A real experience with the added benefits of exceptional service.

Great atmosphere and wonderful service, especially from Chloe who worked really hard to accommodate our large group of 11 (a few more people arrived than we anticipated). The decor and the drinks were great, and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only minor downside was that the music was a bit too loud where we were sitting to be able to chat easily, but the tunes were good so it worked out!

This is just 5 packets of Thai chili sauce squeezed into a cup. If there are shrimp cakes, it will taste better with it.

Found the details of their process in the menu to be really interesting and exciting, but the service was slow, the two different cocktails we ordered tasted the same and were pretty disappointing. Having experienced cocktail bars in New York and London I was hoping for much more given the “top 50 bars in the world” status. I’ve had better cocktails in a regular bar. I wouldn’t go back.

Definitely worth a visit this place. A basement pub with a wide range of cocktails for all tastes and liquors. The flavours have been made with a story behind them ( which you can read about on their menu ).

First off, one of the best logos ever for a bar. This place is worth your time for having a cocktail and making it feel special.

5 stars for service alone!!!! A local of Glasgow recommended this spot and after a journey on the train which consisted of wasted coffee all over one’s self, this was necessary. I sat at the bar, next to who I later learned was one of the managers and had a really great experience. Let’s start with I had no reservations and the menu is slightly intimidating but due to the staff - I survived 🙃 I started with their version of a martini and should preface I AM VERY SPECIFIC ABOUT MY MARTINI but this was a fantastic choice. I don’t remember what was in it but you can look it up 😂 serious but not serious 🤷🏾‍♀️ I then went to a shot of Jameson, which I typically wouldn’t do buttttt the manager was friendly and I couldn’t be rude. I ended with acocktail that consisted of coconut non dairy ice cream and it came with a spoon. Not something I’d typically order but it was tasty and a great finisher to the evening. I’d 100% come back to the panda if in the area, thanks guys and gals for a fantastic first time experience

Great hidden gem near centre of the city with a cozy surprising entrance. You will get into it to get a hair cut but end up having sweet cocktails 🍸🍹

You could walk past this place and not realise. A fabulous concept and cosy/trendy atmosphere. Service was great. Selection of drinks was lovely however you will pay for the cocktails and for a group of four having two cocktails each, you won't have much change from £120. That said the standard of these cocktails is high, so you get what you pay for.. Nice place...

Great hospitality and fast service... Speakeasy is done properly with a secret entrance and ambiance with old furniture.. Coming on to cocktails We ordered four drinks but were not amazed by any of them..I was expecting a burst of flavors because of their innovative mixology but I was disappointed... There was minimal use of bitters and house syrup and mixology itself was very basic...no complexity in terms of distillation or infusion of house made alcohol.. As a result drinks were mediocre in taste.. For presentation drinks were spot on with clear Collins ice which i Appreciate.. There were bar snacks which were good..
