Delicious fish and chips, everyone very happy with the food they recieved! The cheesy chips are incredible too, dont skimp on the cheese. Reieve a good portion for price paid.

Service was fairly cordial and the order was cooked freshly. The fish was slightly undersized for what I paid. Chips a tad underdone. There is a pleasant village green nearby with chickens running loose. Overall, a reasonable experience.

The chips are the best I’ve had from a chippy the reputation it has from locals is very unjust. Even since leaving the village to move to bledlow I’d rather go to Stokenchurch even if it is a little further then chinnor. Would highly recommend if your travelling through the village or if you live in the local area.

For a local fish and chip shop it is good. Food has always been good with fair portions Friendly service Can be a short wait, but they are cooking it fresh

Was visiting the area and just wanted something quick to eat at the end of a busy day. My local chip shop is award winning, so I'm quite fussy now when it comes to fish and chips. We ordered large cod and large chips twice to share between three, there was plenty. Cod was fresh and moist, chips were delicious, soft and fluffy in the middle and slightly crispy on the outside. Very good.

We go at least weekly , quality of food is the same on each visit really tasty fish/jumbo sausage and chips. Friendly staff waiting time average depending on how busy they are

Fish nd chips should be fresh and crisp not slimy and oily... one to avoid folk. Sorry to be so negative

It's a fish and chip shop with chinese next door. We have rarely used the chinese so won''t comment upon that. The fish and chips are perfectly satisfactory on most occasions and we've never had any major troubles with them.

to be honest a wide variety of foods - fish is ok if you are hungry- value for money is ok- staff are friendly-waiting times can be a while also - poss need more staff on fri/sat

Really good quality fish and chips. Reasonably priced and good service. Beware the Red Kites as they also like the way the fish is cooked. One of our party was robbed and had to go back for more..LOL

Me and girlfriend decided on fish and chips last minute, have been before however this time was exceptional! Fish was so fresh and crispy batter, chips good. Lovely family that have it, V GOOD!

Went here for something to eat one lunch time. Not very impressed. Chip were not very nice in facto didn't even eat them. But it could have been a bad day. Never been back

Can't fault this place open boxing day when I thought it would be shut. Happy and helpful. Good after Christmas banter. Pop in and know them better man!!!

Love this place. The Chinese menu next door is great (Salt & Pepper Squid 🦑) 👍 Chip shop is usually busy but chips always fresh. You have to try the curry sauce. It’s proper good stuff!! Good size portions. They offer a mini chips portion too. We find a medium portion is spot on for two of us. Curry Sauce!!! Do it!

We live in stokenchurch and buy chips a few times a month and tonight the chips were really nice as normal. The odd thing is if you just want a portion of chips you order at the till and they give you a number and you have to wait while customers who have ordered before you have cod or burgers cooked to order. First in first out even if you just want a portion of chips, why can't they just pop them in some paper and serve you?

Locally this chip shop doesn't have the best reputation but I am not sure why. Recently it has got even better too.

Dropped in here whilst house hunting this afternoon. This Chinese Owned Chippy was amazing. "The best chips ever!! exclaimed my Fiancee and i" to be told "thank you" from the Lady serving us. Recommend 100%. There is also an adjoining bakery on the left of it, which doubles up as a Chinese takeaway in the evening too.

I returned here after a year and it lived up to my memory. Well prepared, fresh food served by a really nice team. Simple food can be excellent and it is done brilliantly here.

Very friendly service. We enjoyed fresh cooked plaice and cops with mushy peas. Absolutely scrumptious.

Very best service by Cousin and Spooner the room with internet tea and cookies Would defo refer this service. Had a lovely night and would love to come back again

I always have the chicken fillet burger and chips. Chips are good fat chip shop chips. Chicken fillet is a little on the thin side but i enjoy it. Recommended

I now understand why people travel to Chinnor and Thame for good fish and chips. The food here is greasy, too much thick batter and often cold. Aslo a lack of choice such as plaice.

Some people say this is good fish and chips they obviously don't own a car as the food is pretty poor a bit like the Chinese next door. Get on the bus get a cab hitch hike ride a bike, get your fish and chips somewhere else.

Good food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices for fish and chips, etc. The food was all cooked fresh and not too greasy (but greasy enough to still taste nice!!). We will definitely be utilising this local establishment to feed the family when we can't be bothered to cook!!

Would not recommend their chips as we were given chips that had been recooked I reckon at least three times as there was no potato left inside most of them

The employees here are always on the ball (very friendly and good service). The food is also decent and I've yet to eat anything there that wasn't hot or tasted good. It may not be the most modern of interiors, but that hardly seems to matter. The service is fast, the food is good, and the location is great for locals or those staying at the hotel next door. It's much nicer than the kebab van that often pulls up on the other side of the road.

Place needs a great tidy. Food hot but fish needs addressing. Think twice. Service needs improvement . Try but you can get shards of chips.

Since I only live down the road, it is a brilliant place to visit if you want quick fast food. Staff are nice and will always ask you if you want salt and vinegar. If you live locally, it is a great place to visit for takeaway food.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted a quick but tasty New Year's Eve meal as the kitchen in our hotel was closed for a private function. We stumbled upon this fish bar by accident having asked at a hotel and pub - both very near by - where we could buy some food, amazingly neither of them recommended or mentioned the fish bar, which we just noticed ourselves. We don't eat a fish supper very often but do enjoy it when we'll cooked. This was really great fish cooked in a wonderful light batter, it far exceeded our experience at 'Britain's Best' fish & chip shop in Shetland!

Stopped for a portion of chips and was surprised to find that the chip shop has a connecting door with the Chinese take away next door. It looks like during the day the Chinese is also a bakery. What an asset for this village.
