Stoke Green in South Bucks

We had a lovely lunch here this week, celebrating a very special birthday - a 93rd! The staff were very kind and attentive but not intrusive. Thank you to them for turning the music down when asked, not something that is always done even if you especially request it. The food was delicious and a great time was had by us all. A small warning the rich chocolate brownie is only for serious chocoholics! 2 in our party thought they were but found it almost (!) too much even for them. Clean plates all round! The candle in the birthday "girl's" pavlova was much appreciated. :) Thank you we will be back.

4 of us went here yesterday for lunch, the food was extremely good but the wait was extremely long, we were not given updates on how long it would take to serve until we asked what was taking so long, unfortunately this was for both starters and mains, our table was booked for 1230 and eventually we left at 1445, we could not stay longer was we all had business calls at 1500 so we did not manage desserts. I really enjoyed the meal and would like to go back another time when hopefully we will not have such a long wait, nothing was taken off our bill until we asked. To start I have the seared scallops the spiced tempura cauliflower was amazing, I really enjoyed this extra texture with a slight kick of spice. For mains I had Maple Pork belly with pig cheek and scallops, this was also fantastic and I especially enjoyed the pigs cheek.
