Very nice Cod and chips (especially the chips) Reasonably priced and freshly cooked. Staff also friendly. Easy 4 stars! Update 24/07/24. Upgraded to 5 stars. Visited a couple of times recently and 4 stars is unfair. Food is still excellent and the girls behind the counter are lovely. Good portion sizes and a bit cheaper than most Chippies.

So basically this shop has lied to me for few months regarding the battered sausages, they told me it's beef sausage when it was actually pork, and I made it clear for them that I do not eat pork, yet they lied to me and said it's beef, I was eating there weekly under the fact that it was beef sausages, until few months later I enter the shop oneday and there's new staff, so I thought to ask them if they do chicken sausages by any chance and they told me they only do pork, then I pointed at the battered sausage that I always order and asked them if thats pork as well, they were like yes it is and it was always pork, I got really upset but remained calm, I cancelled my order and left without saying anything since they were new staff, not their fault, and I stopped going there, few weeks later one of the old staff see me passing infront of the shop, and calls me in, and she tried to act smart by bullshi1ting and telling me that they got new fryer that doesn't get pork fried in it so if I want to order any food they will use for me the new pork free fryer lol *come on dear give me a break, don't bullsh1t at people like that* , she was trying to pull a smart move when shes actually so silly for claiming such a lie, but I just responded to her with "you guys are liars, you lied to me before so I don't trust anything you say anymore, if you had the audacity to lie at customers once, then definetely you will lie again for profit" and I left. For me if a business lies and doesn't have any transparency for the sake of money, then it should be shut down, and it will deserve a 1 star review, because lying in business is very serious matter, god knows how many times they lied to other customers about another dishes, they are not honest

The only fish and chip shop open for fish at lunchtime in the area! They do big spring rolls like they did in the 80's. Run by a pleasant couple.

Good food and service. The food was cooked fresh to order and was very good. Will be returning

My first fish'n'chips for 7 years after returning to the UK. Delicious haddock cooked to order and proper 'chippy' chips. Definitely the plaice (sorry) to go locally.

This isn't a bad chip shop but prices have risen quite a bit and portion sizes, especially chips have dramatically reduced. The shop is in desperate need of an overhaul, its looking very tired, scruffy and uninviting, especially with all the handwritten notes and tatty menu boards. The staff however are always extremely nice.

Could you refund my money back I thought it has been delivery I can’t drive I can’t collect too far-away

Would have been the right thing to do is tell your customer before they pay that there is a waiting time so they can decide to wait nit the other way around

Very good food , bought food for 6 people various- cheese burgers, fish cakes, jumbo sausages, chicken nuggets and veggie burger every one enjoyed, chips were also very good 👍 😋

Friendly people and decent chips

Just been here first time. Liked the idea it was cooked fresh to order. Only live 5 minutes down the road but not mega hot. Nice food other than that. One more thing service with a smile wouldn't of gone a miss 🤦‍♀️

Guys. Please please stop serving food in polystyrene. Seconds to eat chips, that container will be on this planet forever. Use paper. It’s fairly easy to do and better for the environment. L

I was at the Seahawks game last night and I always wanted to try their fish and chips not any more worse fish and chips ever I would not feed it to my dog or my cat for that matter if you ever see them at a Seahawks game keep walking unless you want to get sick and thought you're money away

It's ok . Unfortunately just can't get close to a good Scottish fish supper . But looks clean and staff ok .

Tried for the first time, got 3 kids cod and chips and two large cod with chips and the portions were huge! The chips were golden, and not greasy and the fish was very good too, although the batter could have been crisper. Will definitely visit again.

Wrong Order - Rude Service - 5 years as a Customer. I am very disappointed with the way the gentleman that handles the cash treated me today. I order the same thing every time and normally deal with a lovely women behind the cash. This time was different. I ordered 2 Large Fish and one Small Chips for my family of 4. This is normally enough. I waited 20-25 minutes and noticed there was only one large fish. The guy behind the counter decided to argue you with me and make me out to be the fool as who would think they are getting two large cod and small chip's for £8.60. First of all, I never saw the price, second of all his hand covers the machine so I cannot see the total. I repeated my order three times at the start. Anyways the guy continues to argue you with me so I ask for a refund. Than comes over this other lady who is pretty much shooing me out of the shop. Never saw her before. I took my refund and left. This was handled terribly. Why not offer me as a customer a delay with food and ask me to pay the difference. I would have happily waited and paid for the missing fish. Instead he wanted to argue with me. Today is the last time I visit this place. I have been a regular for 5 years +. bi-weekly purchase. Very disappointed.

The best fish and chips I've ever had.

Walked in 20 minutes before they close to be told very abruptly they had apparently run out of food and were shut. Pretty sure they were fibbing.

Small chips only less than £2 and you get plenty, well cooked ,nice and crunchy. Battered sausage is very tasty and only £1.70. Just dont look at it too closely.

By far the absolute best fish and chips in the Berkshire area. Tried many others including big name chippies and they cannot in anyway match the quality. Satisfaction is a guarantee when you purchase from these guys. Never have my taste buds been disappointed when indulging in the freshly cooked skinless cod and real potato chips.

Food OK but watchout for the early closing times. My wife was told at 7.10pm on a Saturday that they wouldn't cook any new food since they closed at 7. 30pm

Love this chippy! was recommended by my friend and went three times on my last business trip there, Fish cooked to perfection and always served with a smile. It's worth the wait and also the price. Not sure what the other reviewer was saying about the undercooked chips. I've been in chippys where the chips have been too 'cooked' aka refried again and again. Would rather have fresh chips anyday!

Nice gravy, but chips are always under cooked and it's very expensive for the portions, I live really close to the shop but rather go to the one on Harrow Market, Langley.

Best fish and chip shop in the local area, use quality fish and potatoes best chips around! Bit of a wait but food is cooked fresh to order which is better than dried out food sitting under a heat lamp. Friendly staff easy parking outside..better than Nicks in Langley recommended!!!
