Came to Malik's Gerrard Cross for Easter lunch buffet, as we have had good experiences with their buffet before. They were about 20 minutes late putting the food out, but despite this the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The manager admonished us as we were originally booked as a table of 4, but two of our number had to cancel at the last minute. He said "You should have told me, as we put you on a bigger table, and now I have to cancel your others off the system." We definitely would have told him had the restaurant not been completely empty except for one other couple. True enough, but this manager's rudeness was only getting started. He announced after 40 minutes that the buffet would be closing at 1:30. A member of the other couple in the restaurant asked him why the buffet was not staying open until the advertised 2pm, and he said "...you have had 90 minutes to eat.." - which was not true due to the delayed start. The final straw came when my wife went to the loo and used the handicapped toilet as she did not want to walk up the 3 steps to the main ladies' toilet due to a torn ligament in her knee. This manager told her: "You used the wrong toilet." She had to explain her injury to him, and he still replied: "You should have asked me.." Really ? Thats just enough to ensure we never return to this Malik's - ever. You may feel entitled to be rude and treat others as your inferiors, but you can't do that here and keep customers. No wonder the place was empty - great food, but bad attitude.

Very over priced for what you got I would have only paid £15 for what I got not £27.

Awful was there last night, and was disgusted the way they treated two young lady’s who was in a couple out for Valentine’s Day the way they treated them was horrendous very homophobic avoid at all cost. No one should ever be made to feel how them young lady’s must have felt I will not be returning!

Absolute delight throughout the menu. Everything we've ordered from starters to main and sides were spot on. Very good quality and externally tasty. Recommend it to everyone, you won't be disappointed.

I visited this restaurant and was left standing for five minutes. I approached a member of staff and asked if they had a table and was told yes and to sit down at the bar where there was no bar man. Sat around for ten minutes with no contact and got bored of waiting so left and went to another restaurant. They were only half full and not that busy. Terrible service. No idea what the food is like but I have never had such terrible service upon entering a restaurant.

Lovely decor, great atmosphere Food was ok. Service very slow though, despite being barely half full on a Saturday night. The waiters were not really writing orders down (just looks unprofessional and careless) - we kept having to re-confirm orders with them and two of the orders were missing something as a result. If they can sort the service out it will make a big difference I think.

The restaurant is beautifully set out, spacious tables & very comfortable surroundings. The starters a mixed grill were excellent & the lamb 🐑 was excellent. The Ban breads were also well flavoured The Tikka masala was quite bland & the sauce didn’t have any real flavour to it sadly The staff were not particularly attentive but were helpful but we were not blown away by the service it felt like they were going through the motions… The Bill I’d highly recommend at £50 + per person Toilets were excellent & clean For the price I expected better service & more flavour with the mains.

Quality of food and service need to improve to match price

We had a delicious Mother's Day lunch. Perfect for a large family group.

Ate early evening so only 2 other tables 6 people in total in the restaurant. Great dishes, wonderfully prepared. My only comment is that the food gets cold quickly, hot plates or dish warmers are not used on the table, so if you're wanting to chat and eat, you food could be a little on the cold side.

I walked into this restaurant (very quiet!) the general manager clearly has a reputation of terrible customer service. He’s asked me if I had booked. I said no. I told him if he could accommodate 5 people, 2 adults 3 children. He asked how old my kids are rudely. He then sniggered to say I hope they keep quiet! I mean how shocking is this in todays society having to witness and hear such pathetic comments. I told no thanks we don’t need a table and I gave him a piece of my mind. He’s rude, clearly unhappy individual maybe has forgotten how to smile. I have to say in this industry right now every customer is important. I think this manager needs to reflect on himself a lot and read back on some of the comments on this page and change his attitude. It’s a small town!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch, staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Restaurant was spotless and nicely decorated. They only have buffets some Sundays, so check in advance.

Pretty decent food at a nice tablecloth establishment. Had a huge double Gin and tonic, had some flavorful food. Service was quick and efficient, I liked the roti and curries. Definitely had plenty of food and plenty of people inside on a Thursday evening. Would come back to try more of the menu

Without doubt the worst Indian meal I can remember. Greasy, overcooked and bland. There is not much more I can say. Very disappointing.

HAD A MEAL THERE TONIGHT AND CHICKEN WAS TOUGH. DID SAY TO THE STAFF WHO TOLD THE MANAGER. NO ONE CAME TO APILOGISE OR OFFER ANY COMPENSATION. TOTALLY IGNORED US. WOULDNT GO BACK.

Absolutely terrible - this used to be a great Indian pre Covid. Had a couple of takeaways and also eaten in recently. It is now absolutely terrible. The food quality is diabolical - flavourless, bland, really low quality. I think they are now using the cheapest ingredients and chef. I think it is basically the worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Real shame as it is a local business - won’t bother going here again anymore. Service is very average as well but you would tolerate that if the food was good.

Absolutely disgusting, A stain on Gerrards Cross, the little fat man that runs the restaurant is a complete mutant and has no idea how to look after customers. Will go to Sizzler up the road, better food and service elsewhere. Diabolical shambles of an establishment

Tueday evening dinner for 2, our first visit. Friendly polite service, comfortable seating, non traditional restaurant. Lovely food enjoyed everything 😋 Value for money. 10% service charge incl. Definitely recommend & will be back soon.

Nice restaurant decor and bar area. Starters were very nice. Main courses (vegetarian) very bland, almost as if no spices were used.

Wow. I’m so impressed that food quality can be so appalling and disgusting. This is probably the worst Indian food ever had. Chicken livers were actually out of date lamb livers. Lamb was beef in the mixed grill. Curries were quickly mixed tomato sauce set up. Not even one single dish was reasonable. This got to be the all time low in my experience of a restaurant. Plus side the venue was nice, table cloth service. Service was average, naans and poppadums were good. No Asian or Indian has ever recommended this place, good to see how this restaurant actually stacked up - the noise was real

Best Indian food around, we are regular customers and we thought we should review. We drive over half an hour away to collect and tonight there was a mix up with our order, they delivered to us straight away despite being out of there delivery area and the food was still piping hot…

Food is outstanding, service could have been a little better, however they were busy. Still highly recommended as long as you are in a relaxed mood and not in a rush.

Lovely dinner in a large friendly restaurant.

Although the staff were pleasant and the venue is nice. The food and service time was not acceptable. The food was really bland and not worth the wait. We booked for 8.30 and didn't get to order till gone 9.30. We ordered drinks that came at around 9.10. A shame, a crying shame some would say. But just awful.

Very attentive staff, made us feel very welcome. Good prices and cozy place. We’ve truly enjoyed our anniversary!

Lovely food and all the staff great apart from one man. We had booked a month in advance but when we arrived they didn't have our booking down. He gave us a table still which was good. However, he was rushing us along throughout our meal. We asked him questions about the food and he was being very quick and blunt. When I was looking at the drinks to order he said 'ok quickly quickly'. We were waiting a long time for our food. I asked to order another drink later on and he said 'oh are you ready to go' I was shocked and said no. He then gave us the bill and said 'ok i need this table back'. (We still had full drinks) my partner grabbed another waiter and said the original waiter was rude and rushing us. The rude one came over and said 'you can talk to me you know'. It was all very unprofessional. We asked for the service charge to be taken off. We won't be going back here!

Amazing experience! One of the best Indian food I've had after a long time. Place looks very plush and the customer service is excellent.

Lovely Restaurant, went with the Mrs. The decor was of a high standard, the food was delicious and the mango sorbet was a perfect way to end the meal, Will definitely be more for the veggie options in the coming future, Cheers

One of the worst curry's I have had, and I have had lots... Service was terrible, waiter did not understand anything all staff were rude. The food was absolutely horrible, I gave it the benefit of the doubt from my last experience as have heard good things, but I should have stayed away. I certainly will now!!!

Outstanding food, but waiting staff were below standard. My friend had severe food allergy and she was given normal menu before she advised them she had an allergy?! The waiter returned with 2 allergy menus ( with NO PRICES marked) so when we questioned the price of the monkfish which was double the price of the other curries, they accepted the mistake but did NOT take this off the bill and I had to request for service charge to be taken off. He explained this was normal so I had to advise him that I attend central London restaurants all the time and this doesn’t happen there. 🙄 The food is outstanding. We waited a long time for it to arrive and when I asked for another chapatti, I waited an equally long time. Great food but hugely let down but service and service staff. I would welcome management to contact me for further feedback

Great food and service, inside is beautiful.

Did not see any of the staff or the other diners smile once. Food good but atmosphere non existent.

Nice interior, serve yourself with good food and good value, can't say more than that.
