Travelling from Wolverhampton I wondered how I would spend several hours on Saturday and Sunday, 20th/21st July 2024, whilst waiting for a family member on a 2 day CrossFit training course in Congleton. I found the park and managed to find a space on the little car park by the recreation field. By mid morning on Saturday, having wandered the grounds in the park, and appreciated the excellent work carried out to maintain it, I then fancied a coffee. Upon entering the establishment I was politely shown to a seat within, and was promptly offered the food and drink menu. I selected a latte which arrived quickly. It was hot. I left after about 40 minutes. Around 2 30ish I returned now wanting some food. Again I was shown to a seat, strangely the same one I occupied earlier, the menu boards were offered and I ordered the full English breakfast, with a pint of beer. The waitress serving me was polite, professional and had a friendly smile. Finishing my food and drink I used the comfort facilities then paid, leaving the change from a £20 in the tip jar. My experience was such, that on Sunday, it was almost like groundhog day, as my itinerary was the same, and I had a coffee mid morning, again sitting in a familiar seat, returning around 1 o'clock as another of the waitresses had kindly advised me that the food order service ended at 2pm on Sunday. I was shown to a different seat this time as my previously occupied seat was taken, again I opted for the breakfast, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally I can't fault the venue, the staff or the service, so either those posting less than favourable reviews have far too high a standard or I'm missing something. Congratulations on keeping a clean and friendly place to relax and enjoy good food in, if I lived locally it would certainly be a regular place for me, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Congleton. 👍💋

My wonderful family and friends organised a surprise birthday party at Stock. It was the perfect place. Great atmosphere, first class service, great food. I couldn't have asked for more! Whether just popping in for a daytime coffee, a Sunday lunch or a celebration, Stock at The Pavilion deliver every time.

We had our Family Celebration here (have already had my 50th birthday here couple years ago). It was fantastic, the place is stunning and perfect for any occasion, beautiful setting in Congleton Park. But the whole evening was made extra special by the wonderful staff, Lisa & Emma and their whole team worked tirelessly to make everything wonderful - food, drink and DJ, couldn’t fault it. I would HIGHLY recommend ‘Stock’. Xxx

Absolutely horrendous service, staff are very rude and unhelpful! I was completely ignored when waiting for a table, not one member of staff acknowledged us when we were waiting for a long time. When someone eventually came over, we were told no tables and an indefinite wait time? I wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t even that busy? Also there were 3 tables free at the time. It really would have been nice to have been acknowledged in the first instance and made aware of their lack of availability instead of wasting 15 minutes standing at the front door with 2 children. A woman with short hair then abruptly inserted herself into my conversation with the waitress disputing how long I’d been waiting for, totally uncalled for and unnecessary. Funny, I waited such a long time to be noticed by a staff member then all of a sudden, 2 come along to unwelcome me! If you’re going to the Pavilion take a picnic and avoid this place!

I'm always delighted when we get a table here. It's often busy, because it's so good and you are usually advised of wait times for food if this is the case.

Beautiful setting, great coffee but can't give it a good rating. Spent £40 there for food and drink asked by a middle aged woman serving to leave right after our meal finished because they needed the table (which btw was for only 2 people) and hasn't been reserved. Very rude and unprofessional. The rest of staff younger girls and male staff are always very lovely but she let the side down.

Went for Mother's day lunch. Great atmosphere and welcome, with complementary fizz on arrival. The service was warm and friendly. The food was freshly prepared and excellent, especially the shakshuka special. Thank you to all the team at Stock for a wonderful relaxing lunch for a special Mum.

Attended for a wedding. The service was friendly and attentive as well as giving you room to take your time and not be rushed. The food was excellent and a wide variety of drinks. Prices (for drinks) were reasonable. The decor is very good with 2 old world games machines (a zoltar style fortune teller and an amorous match machine). The garden is very well kept as it backs into the park.

Always consistently good, we had chicken wrap - delicous. Decent quality food. You can also buy Alcoholic beverages. Quirky, tasteful decor. There are steps to go in at the front, but if you have mobility issues they have a door at the side with no steps. There is also outdoor seating

Really great, we were waiting a bit to have our order taken as the waitress was slammed with people asking her lots of questions and new customers. She was lovely and gave us our drinks free to apologise. The cake was amazing.

Lovely dog friendly place...just be aware they now limit the number of dogs at a time to 3 inside

Delicious food and great value. We booked the Pavilion mainly because we needed to eat somewhere near the park and we were very pleasantly surprised to find this gem. We loved all our meals and will be back again. Can also recommend the Pinot Grigio.

This is not our first time at Stock at the Pavillion. Always great service, lovely food and being in Congleton Park is just the perfect setting. Lisa and Emma run a fantastic business and we always feel well looked after by the waitresses and staff members. Would absolutely recommend for a meal out or even celebrations (we have been to a few parties there too!). Thank you Stock for another lovely visit. We will be back again soon!

Fantastic venue, hosts and food. I couldn’t fault the professional service that I received after choosing Stock at the Pavilion to host my 1920s themed 50th birthday party. The staff were super helpful and so attentive on the night. Don’t hesitate in booking this place for a special occasion or just to pop in for a drink and bite to eat when you’re in the park. You won’t be disappointed! A great venue made even better by the superb team running it.

Very lovely restaurant and view and very lovely food. Just very disappointed with a member of staff, who in my opinion is very rude and short with me, this has been on two occasions now, and I don’t appreciate it. For that reason for now I won’t be returning. Short hair older lady, not sure if she’s the owner. Always complains that she’s rushed off her feet. If she can’t handle the challenges maybe someone else needed?

We called in for a coffee with residents from the nursing home and were welcomed with space made available, the residents enjoyed the visit. Very clean and welcoming.

There is a very homely atmosphere and although quite small, the efficiency of the staff easily cope with turning around the tables for repeated use.A restaurant with a well-deserved reputation for good cuisine. The menu is not wide but the food is invariably excellent. Occasionally it can be a little noisy no doubt due to its popularity.

It's a casual good food place. Only a small menu but something to please everyone. Good for a hot or cold drink (alcoholic or not) with friends. They welcome well behaved dogs. Decor is 40s onwards, sofas, chairs and tables; really relaxed.

Having spent four months living in Congleton I am the loser for not visiting Stock before now. A laid-back ambience, pleasant surroundings, bright views of Congleton Park, excellent food served with alacrity and a warm, welcoming attitude by the staff, all combined to make our visit memorable and an assured second visit. As I said to you Mrs Boss, your chef deserves a raise. In addition, chain him to the cooking range so he cannot escape. Well done all of the team. Norman Dean

Have been several times on a Saturday for brunch and the delicious food is prepared with care. Not only that, the service is good. Recommend you book a table.

Lovely Sunday lunch and was really great at having gluten free options. Though I did feel a little unsettled afterwards so perhaps there was some cross contamination which is sadly something that is difficult to avoid

Managed to find us a table for 13 at very short notice on a busy Sunday after an alternative birthday celebration venue was cancleed due to flooding. Couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. Thanks again ladies, we had a lovely family meal ..... everyone went away praising the food x

Brilliant venue which never fails to disappoint. It is in a league of its own when compared with other, similar establishments in the town. The owners have got it just right and deliver fantastic food and drink every time. The eclectic and quirky interior is another string to its bow.

Stock at the Pavilion is beautifully located, very comfortable inside & pet friendly. It has an extensive menu with a good choice of veggie/vegan options. The food was delicious - Served in a frying pan - I had one of the nicest all day breakfasts I've ever tasted! Every member of the team was efficient, friendly and aiming to make a fantastic experience for the customers. Bravo to all the team.
