STK in City of London, Westminster

This was an overdue review, but went to the STK in Strand for the nightlife and it did not miss. It was a bit busy but we were sat in about 7 mins. Our waiter Gilberto was so fantastic gave us a humorous and enjoyable service. Also thankful to the lovely service from everyone especially the two hosts Lorena and Roberta. Will be seeing you again STK

Unreal atmosphere, great dj, lovely view from rooftop, foods was great, decent price, our waiter Sahn was the man! made the experience even better, so so lovely and funny all the staff were great but Sahn made it 100x better

Came with my family for my birthday. We had a great time, they play a really good variety of good music. Food was delicious. We were hosted by Rui who was fantastic. He talked us through the menu and gave us his recommendations (which were great), was really attentive and friendly. We will definitely come again. Thank you Rui!

A REALLY special place to have Sunday lunch in London. Exceptionally tasting food, beautifully presented, generous portions and absolutely first class service. You feel special from the moment you walk in until you walk out. Truly first class

Booked for my sons birthday. Asked for a table by a window, nothing. Had surf and turf x 2 and the so called lobstertail was ALL SHELL No meat whatsoever. Steak was lovely and the sides were very tasty but the prices are very expensive for what it is. Service was ok but very overated

Very young vibe. Very noisy and music really loud. We were a mixed table of young and older celebrating a 60th birthday. Food was average and drink very overpriced. A table of 8 and we were stuck on a table which was definitely for 6 comfortably. You do get a complimentary small garlic brioche and we did get a complimentary small birthday cake and candle . Not knowing This area well I wish I had picked another restaurant to make a more memorable family dinning experience.

On arrival the warm efficient and polite welcome was very well received as was the familiarity of surroundings, and music. Hello's from all staff en route to the special event corner table was nice too. Attentive polite server helped as did the delicious cocktails of which we had a few during our sumptuous dining experience. Lots of choice meat and fish, and if we asked for anything it was there instantaneously.

Tune was amazing, very lovely waitress— made me and my girlfriend laugh many times and had great manners and speedy service!

This was my birthday celebration & Tony my Russian brother made it a great experience, best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. And I do go out to eat a lot too. That should say a lot hahaha.

Tony was our waiter and he alone was worth coming back for he was amazing and the food and atmosphere top notch definitely will come back

The Wagyu steak was truly exceptional, delivering rich flavor and tenderness that surpassed our expectations, even though we opted for a grade below A5. However, the ambiance was slightly overshadowed by excessively loud music, which detracted from the overall dining experience.

We visited STK to celebrate a friends birthday and unfortunately the food and service let the experience down. We chose the brunch package (£49 for food) with bottomless drinks (for 90mins) but had to ask multiple times for a top up which is fine however we then had to wait for the waiter to come round again which meant for £30 we got about 4 1/4 glasses of wine. Unfortunately for a restaurant famous for its steak I feel that the food was not the standard you would expect. A friend’s steak was so overcooked it had to be sent back and when it came back it was so rare that some parts were inedible. The braised short rib was dry and overly salty. When a friend asked for some more gravy the waiter did not warn them that this would be an additional £9 (for gravy) and it wasn’t until the bill came that we noticed. The sharing dessert board containing candy floss, cookies, red velvet cake, cheesecake and millionaires shortbread looked as though it had come from a packet. Whilst there were 12 of us only 10 had chosen the bottomless drinks package however when the bill came an extra 2 had been added and after some back and forth this was removed from the bill. Overall unfortunately on this occasion it seemed to be more style over substance. There are definitely much better brunch places in London.

The food was 10/10 we went for my boys birthday made us feel welcoming, service was so good we had to give Monica a tip of £100

Took my team out for a team night out here, our waiter for the night was William could not have asked for a better man, service was on point and could have a laugh with William, would recommend eating here and we will be back

William our waiter made the night even better with excellent service, such a good knowledge of the menu and a professional attitude and he genuinely felt like ge wanted us to have a great experience and thats exactly what we had. Well done STK for employing great staff having great food in a contemporary atmosphere.

Had dinner with my family for a 17th birthday, William served us and he was amazing nothing was too much he made sure we were happy and made a lovely fuss over my neice the birthday girl. Food was great too portion sizes good, I couldn’t eat dessert as too full. Try the Yellow Tuna Fin and Calamari.

Our experience was great especially because of William our waitress. He gave an exceptional service and looked after us very well.

If you want to get ripped off this is the place to visit. We went on a Thursday at 4.30 pm 7/3/24 very quiet. We had calamari, 1 rump steak, 1 New York, chips and sparkling water. The food was OK not brilliant. The bill £180, I swallowed hard and paid as I was treating my guest. Later I looked at the envelope containing the receipt and there were two offers available on a Thursday night which would have reduced my bill by £100, also we were going to see Tina the musical, there was a 3 course menu for this at £38 total for 2 £76!! At no point did the waiters mention any offers. I didn't want to leave a bad review and so wrote to Sergio F, manager and received a patronising reply. I had asked why offers weren't mentioned or publicised he said they are on the website, I have looked again and can't find them. My guest was so incensed she wrote politely to Sergio F and has had no reply!! The Times yesterday reviewed The Arlington, London SW1 gave it a brilliant review, total cost for 2 plus a bottle of wine £160. So go there.

William was our waiter and he was amazing! He was so lovely and provided us with quick service. Food and drinks were lovely, more William’s are needed!

Wonderful experience 6 oysters to start were so fresh and bursting with flavour, to follow the tomahawk medium perfectly cooked, sautéed spinach and Parmesan crusted creamy mash. We tried it with the signature STK sauce and a classic peppercorn sauce. Absolute beautiful meal.

Suburb meal, steaks were fantastic. The porterhouse I wish I could have it every day, a couple of prawns and the Wagyu butter yum!!

Came to STK for my granddaughters 18th birthday meal. We were asked to leave the table in under an hour and half. The service was slow, we had to keep asking for our drinks. We were disappointed with the food and the service. I did mention to the desk about being asked to leave the table in to short a time, they said they would look into it but no one came back to me whilst I was sat in the bar.

Myself and six friends ate the two course pre theatre menu on a busy Saturday afternoon. The service was fantastic, very friendly. The food was amazing! The flat iron steak was the best steak I think we have ever had! We all agreed it was outstanding. Lovely surroundings, lots of youngsters instagramming! 5 stars!

If my review was based on the food alone then the score would be a 5/5. Yes this restaurant is a little pricey, however, you get what you pay for and our meals were just as good if not better than our last visit. The negative and the reason for the score was the waiting service. We arrived at 5:30pm which is clearly a slow time for them. Upon being seated we waited around 20 mins before we were asked for our drinks order…not because there were no staff (quite the opposite), this was simply because they were too busy socialising. Each and every time I received service it was because I had to catch their eye. Not what you expect when paying these prices. We had one course but it took over an hour from start to finish.

We came here for a pre-theatre dinner, it is beautiful decor and a nice environment to enjoy dinner. Before we could sit down we were being asked what we wanted to drink and if we wanted water. We were brought bottles of water straight away and it was poured before we got to ask for tap instead. Our starters were delicious, we asked for a little break before the main course and before the waiter could leave our table with our starter plates, another waiter had our mains. I asked for my steak to be medium with no blood and it came with blood all over the plate which was off putting. I mentioned it to the waiter but he called another over and they made such a commotion about it I just asked them to leave it and blotted it with my napkin. Saying that my partner said it was one of the best steaks he had eaten. They kindly offered us a complimentary dessert of cheese cake. After a few minutes they bought out a chocolate cake as there was no cheese cake left and unfortunately it tasted like a frozen cake. I felt like we received this very rushed service as we were having a pre-theatre menu and they were keen to get full paying customers in. At £92 for two courses for two, a glass of wine and a bottle of tap water - you would still expect better and a nicely paced service!

Had an absolutely amaizng experience! The food was absolutely delicious and above all else, our waiter William made our time just that extra bit special: he was brilliant. The music is rather loud but the restaurant had a fun yet sophisticated atmosphere to it!

Hostes firstly gave a table under the music column , I asked to change and she was very welcoming and gave us table with a couch. The streak was Perfectly cooked medium rare, the cod was nothing special, service 4 out of 5, no attention at all, loud music.

Speedy service, we were heading to the theatre so they made sure we had a great experience but also enough time. Food was amazing really enjoyed the meal.

Absolutely amazing service! The food was delicious and arrived quickly. We came to celebrate our anniversary and had a post-theatre dinner, the atmosphere was nice and not too busy or loud. The waiter also gave us a really cute anniversary cake to make it extra special!

Poor quality and over cooked steak. I sent it back and got another which was a bit better but definitely not worth the cost. If you want a decent steak go to Goodmans, Hawksmoor or Gauchos.

We had a birthday coming up so booked to go on the recommendation of my daughter who went in New York and had a fabulous meal. We ordered and waited In anticipation for the surf and turf, king crab linguine and wagu steak to arrive. The fillet steak was tough and chewy which was a surprise but the overcooked, tiny lobster tail was even more of a disappointment. The wagu was also tough and half was left on the plate. There was enough shell in the linguine to tell me that crab had been added to the thick cream and overcooked pasta but other than that I had no indication that it had been included in the dish. 4 pieces over bland sushi California roll for £18 anyone? And the tuna tartar had zero flavour and I had far better at Yo sushi! I would say the whole meal was average at best and none of the dishes had flavour or was memorable at all. The waiter was incredible however and the wine we chose was delicious. The total bill was £565 including tip but the food was more £10 a head quality. Shame. We won’t be back but the plethora of people who don’t have expectations of great dining will I’m sure. If you’re expecting a great food experience please look to dine elsewhere.

RUN don't walk away from STK Over priced bland food, overly noisy atmosphere, absolutely ruined mother's day for me and my family. Service was mediocre and the waiter did apologise for the mess ups but despite removing all the dishes we complained about, about 4 in total, the bill was still over 200 among 3 people. The chefs couldn't even be bothered to send out fresh limes for goodness sake, they were dry, discoloured and no juice would even come out. The only dishes that were decent were the chips and mushroom sides but I don't plan on spending £10 on a small dish of mushrooms again. The restaurant would likely put the price down to using "quality ingredients" but that's just not the case, the only high quality thing there are the fancy hand towels in the dirty toilets with broken locks and door hooks 3 levels down only accessible by stairs. All in all one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had, which was a shame because I came here 3 years ago and it was so amazing, it's clear lack of proper management has ruined what once was a fantastic eating experience for approximately £50 a head. Deeply disgusted

Gilbertoni was a real gentleman and made our night out special with a surprise cakes and service in a professional maneer, sort of Mayfair style. It was a Woman’s Day, a lovely evening, big thanks to all STK Team, see you next time! Klaudia and Angelika

Excellent food ! Great portion. Great service before being setting and during the dinner. Good music, great dj, a little bit too loud (probably because of location in the room, next to entrance). Sometimes we couldn’t speak without shouting. But totally recommend it for special occasions.

Really lovely meal. The booking asked if we were celebrating anything so I said a birthday and nothing hinted towards that on our experience which was a shame. Even just a candle in the cheesecake we ordered for pudding would have been great.

Booked a table for 9 pm, had to waited half an hour to be seated in a dark corner and only after complaining few times we got moved to another table ( few other tables were available btw). Waitress very pushy and rude was trying to persuade to order the most expensive dishes despite having told her few times I preferred the other dish. In addition, waiting time for a steak was 45 min so we had to order some starters. When she came to take the payment she repeatedly asked for tips and not only that she typed in the pdq machine the amount she wanted. Very poor service. Will not come back for sure. For that money I will go to Mayfair where at least I’ll find better food and a better environment

Fantastic dinner, food was delicious like absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chefs! Also I would love to mention our waitress Daniela which was fabulous, polite, attentive and knowledgeable. The managers were also great assuring that everything was smooth throughout the evening! Overall a great job from everyone! Will definitely be back!

Had the best time celebrating my Mother’s birthday at STK. The food was amazing, genuinely the best steak I’ve had. My mum enjoyed her lamb chops and trust me she is a very fussy eater. Anton was the BEST host. Very professional and made sure my mums birthday was special.

Come here for our valentines meal was looking forward to coming here but was awful. Decorations were lovely but tables close to eachother, I ordered a white wine the server came towards us with a red and white wine. He attempted to place my wine on table and ended up spilling red wine all over table , my dress and my boyfriend’s top. I do understand accidents happen and didn’t want to make a big deal of it. They moved us to another table and said sorry. The owner gave me his work card to send a message to pay for our dry cleaning which he never replied to. Then after they forgot my boyfriend’s drink , forgot my sauce with my steak asked for steak medium came out well done. They gave us 20% discount but still put service charge but I didn’t want to make a big deal because it was meant to be a special night but me and my boyfriends clothes and coat have both been stained for good and just seemed like our night just kept getting worse after that. Sorry to do this but heard a few people I know go here and say they had a bad night.

We came back after 2 years. And it was a totally different atmosphere. Although apologies were made for my drinks order wait (20 mins from getting seated) I felt rushed from starters to mains came within 5 minutes. The couple next to me had their table cleaned after they left and subsequently sprayed Disinfectant on my side dish. Leaving it one quarter eaten. Couldn't hear each other speak music levels were extremely loud. I don't think we'll be coming back again. Wasn't as personal and friendly as last time I did ask for my service charge back and refund and was told I need to speak to management??

We booked for the brunch and after calling to say we are running late they said it is fine they would add to the booking. When we turned up we was told we cannot do the brunch after being told to wait for 15 mins. We got told we can have the normal menu and then still had to chase up if we can sit down. Everyone in there was really unhelpful which is a shame as I have visited many times before and everyone was helpful and food was great.

Expected high hopes from the restaurant, but really didn’t enjoy the food. However, the service was very good.
