I rarely leave reviews, but my recent experience at this restaurant compels me to share my frustration. I ordered salmon—three separate times. Each dish arrived noticeably raw, as if it had barely seen the inside of the kitchen’s heat. Not one of the dishes was prepared properly, even after multiple requests to have it fixed. It’s disappointing when what should be a simple cooking process turns into a recurring mistake. The lack of attention to such a basic culinary standard left me questioning the overall competence of the kitchen staff. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a reliably cooked meal. We attached a photo of one plate that we managed to capture, but the rest of our meals were completely unacceptable—raw in the middle. One friend, while eating her salmon, noticed that it was cold and began to wonder if the pink tint was actually the natural color of the fish or if it was raw and essentially still frozen. This recurring issue made us question the restaurant’s basic food safety standards.

Came here for the pre theatre menu and was served by Rui…what an incredible waiter! He was so attentive and his recommendations were spot on! Will definitely be returning soon!!

So I we travelled from Margate, Kent to celebrate our engagement. The welcoming staff were friendly enough, the atmosphere was great. I had the tomahawk steak which was £98 and for that price expected it to be grilled well but as you can see from photos it was pretty much burnt and made the taste awful. My partner had the fillet and tiger king prawns which where £54 and left her hungry and her fillet was burnt on the outside. When I say burnt I mean BURNT, crispy and dry. I did tell the waiter who told me they are cooked in a £50k grill machine. Clearly not worth that price tag . Tony whom was our waiter however was excellent and strived to make our visit a good one. Had it not been for his excellent service it would have been a memory to forget. The burgers I had for starters were the only meal that tasted excellent. For the price tag you would expect the food to be cooked to a certain level. It honestly felt like eating coal with meat inside. Asked for a well done steak and it was bloody in the middle and burnt on the outside. Was really looking forward to this meal. Would of expected them to knock a bit of the bill for this but hey ho.

Came to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we had a wonderful time thanks to WILLIAM! He made sure we had everything and he’s very customer friendly! MORE PEOPLE LIKE WILLIAM WILL make eating out with family 10x better!

Great service, great atmosphere and the food is very tasty. If you want to eat cheaply it is not recommended, but if you want to have a nice evening it is definitely recommended.

Rui Martins was our waiter and OMG was he amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! His knowledge of the food and his recommendations, which we took for all 3 courses were MAGNIFICENT!!! The appy Lil Burgs OUT OF THIS WORLDDDDDDDDD !!!!!!! The juiciest most flavour burgers! I wanted more ! And the Potatoes Gratin as the side was perfect for the steak. And the cookie dough cookie was thick and soft and warm and so so nice !!!!!! Rui was a pleasure to interact with and he has impeccable service and made our dinner memorable !!!!!!! Also the food came out with great timing and temperature!!!!!

William gave us 10/10 service at STK, he was polite, and efficient in the time the food came and also just his manners and approach to serving us has made me want to come back to the restaurant. We had a waiter named Luciano!!! he made our dinning experience incredible. He was so sweet and on top of service the entire time. The food was delicious but he made our experience amazing! Would go back a million times if I could.

Amazing Food and Service from Vasile

Our first visit to STK. As you walk-in you get the feel of a premium London restaurant with dark mood lighting, booth tables and a well stocked & lit bar. The service is attentive and helpful whilst the menu commands a second look with steaks at £50 plus. Let me say categorically, a fabulous steak. Exceptional in flavour and texture. One of the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, the sides of broccoli and spinach were cold and I asked for them to be returned. They came back 5 minutes later microwaved and yet still cold. When you are paying £10 for a side you expect the sides to at least be hot. The chips and sauces, on the other hand, were hot and tasty. Charge whatever you think is justifiable but the dishes need to match the price. A shame that exceptional steaks were let down by their cheaper counterparts.

The food’s taste was way below average, the steak was rubbery and chewy. For their prices, I would expect the food to be above average at least. I will not be going back or recommending it.

Upon entering the venue I felt welcomed by the team. William attended to me and was my waiter for the evening, he was very polite and helpful. From taking my order to making sure there were enough drinks on the table, he made sure of it all! The tomahawk steak was cooked superbly and I can only recommend it. Exceptional experience from beginning to end !! the food was delicious, lovely atmosphere for a Sunday dinner. Also, the service, and attention to detail you couldn't fault. From our waiter Alex to management, Spyros and Gabriel we were well looked after so we'll definitely be back :)

We eat well. I must admit that what we ate was very good, but the prices are extreme. For 2 dishes, pasta with shrimps and a piece of grilled meat, we paid £102 or €130. Despite the fact that the service was great, the music a little loud, nothing was worth this price for 2 dishes.

Really disappointed in STK Strand. I’ve been here numerous times but my most recent visit (02/28/2025) was far from pleasant. Went for my birthday the service was extremely slow had to wait 15mins before some came and took our order! Whilst one of my dinner guest was giving her order to the waiter he walk away without saying anything and went to go help a table near by and then came back to us 10mins later to continue taking the rest of our orders. One of my guest was in a wheelchair and kept being bumped into throughout the dinner by the same specific waiter! Steak was made wrong asked for medium well got well done, didn’t have time to complain and sent it back as we had places to be after dinner. The calamari I ordered got sent back it was flavourless and drowned in salt, which was odd because it’s usually 10/10!The restaurant was aware I was celebrating my birthday, they brought the bill without doing the usual birthday celebration and dessert the restaurant offers. Anytime we needed something we’d have to ask other waiters who were serving other tables because our specific waiter couldn’t be bothered with us. Since we were frustrated with the service that we got we decided to ask the waiter to take off the service change which he then rolled his eyes and walked away with the receipt. When he returned with the new receipt he threw it on the table and walk away to grab the card machine. This was a horrible birthday dinner and experience, and I usually love STK and have the best experience, but this specific night was horrible and it’s a shame that it had to happen on my birthday. I had called the day after my birthday to complain and spoke to a lovely lady who said this would be brought to the manager’s attention, but have yet to hear back.

Booked here for 5pm on a Saturday - the place was absolutely rammed full of large groups who were already drunk at the bar. The sound level was absolutely beyond belief, me and my friend could not hear a single word said to each other and left with our ears ringing. The food was ok, steak was dry and not to the level I ordered, mac and cheese had a horrible taste and the food does not reflect the price - which was expensive.

William was absolutely spectacular he was always there when we needed him and was on top form all night couldn’t fault him once !

Expensive for what it is. Steak ok but very pricey. Sides good but not excellent. Service friendly but not top notch. Over £400 for a couple.

Was really disappointed when I visited stk for the first time, ordered 2 streaks and chips when only one of the steaks arrived we asked where is the other, the waiter then checks and says there was an issue, half an hour later the other steak and the 2 portion of chips arrive, I was left to eat my dinner alone. That wasn’t the only issue- went to pay we were over charged by £40, had to wait to get the refund issued however after noticed that we were still charged for the service charge. In my opinion that shouldn’t have been added from their numerous mistakes and ruined my anniversary dinner. Can’t say I would go there again!

Celebrating our nephew 40th birthday we were surprised that we had a VIP room for our party of 12 people thank you STK. We all ordered £90 menu, and we only got 2 seafood platters ( and small plates of diffrent food that did not stretch for our party of 12)to share between 12 people. We ordered water and to our surprised came to £36 pounds on the bill. Also the dessert was a small selection of cakes which was cut into small pieces and tasted stale. Furthermore we was so shocked that our service charge came to £205, we had to negotiate this charge as we felt this far to much. We also did not see any entrainment as described on the website for Friday night !! even though we left near to 12 midnight. The staff were polite and friendly.

The ambience and decor is incredible. The staff are great and attentive, the food, distinctly average I’m afraid and hugely over priced even for London. The food was nice we had but not mind blowing, I have had much nicer steaks and I have been lucky enough to eat in a lot of steak restaurants. Please bear in mind table water is not complimentary, it is £6 per bottle but they do not tell you this when pouring it for you. A 200g fillet is about £45 and that is only the steak, no fries or alternative carb option is included. Most sides, including fries start at £10 per portion! We had fries and it was a small silver cup of fries… for £10! The steak was fine, not the worst filler I have eaten but certainly not the best. In summary, the food was fine not exceptional and extremely over priced for the quality that is served.

Service was good, however the Tomahawk was small and dry/overcooked. Truffle mac and cheese came out cold and everything was overpriced.

Unfortunately, they didn't have the Tomahawk steak, so I went for the Porter House steak. Really enjoyed the food and the range of drinks they had. Service was immaculate, friendly, and prompt.

Food was great but it took long at least 30-45 minutes for our food to be in front of us. The restaurant wasn’t that busy especially for a Sunday night but my partner and I was starving waiting for our food to be served. I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon if the service is going to be like that.

Service at the beginning was poor as we booked for 11:00 but it took 40 mins for us to be sitted down and we were about to not eat dinner. However, Rui gave us excellent service was very attentive, gave us great conversation and made the night better for us on our anniversary.

Amazing restaurant I cannot recommend enough. We shared starters among ourselves and had drinks the atmosphere was so lively and the staff were so helpful and kind. Worst restaurant ive ever been to! Had to wait an hour and a half to be seated at a table we had booked. Very rude staff kept dismissing us when we asked when we would be seated. When we finally sat down we asked to order straight away because we were starving. When the starters arrived they were horrible. Music way too loud couldn’t hear anyone talking and wound us up even more as we were starving. Waiting a further hour and a half for mains which still hadnt come out so we decided to leave. Honestly a really awful experience for such a ‘fancy’ steak restaurant

Rather disappointing experience at STK. All the food was fairly decent. We got the chicken and beef sliders to start and both of these were rather tasty. However, our main course was definitely not up to scratch. Both myself and my partner got steaks and both were overcooked compared to what we ordered. This was very disappointing considering STK is meant to be a steakhouse and steak should be there speciality The food was also rather pricey, however we did kind of expect this considering the restaurant was in the middle of London near many popular tourist locations. Definitely had better experiences at other steakhouses and for half the price.

William grate service nice man defo deserved a raise

I visited the Strand branch, and it was not great experience . Unfortunately, our visit was marred by some issues with service. First, they had run out of some items on the menu, which was disappointing. Then, we had to wait an excruciating 87 minutes for our food to arrive. At one point, a staff member came over and acknowledged the long wait, saying it was unacceptable, and that the manager would come to apologise. The gentleman who was serving us was very attentive, constantly checking with the kitchen, but despite staffs and our multiple requests, the manager never made an appearance. We saw the waiter approach the manager, who simply looked at us and carried on doing nothing but standing in a corner. It was awful and disrespectful. It’s a shame because the waiter was trying his best, but the lack of management oversight left a bad taste. I hope they can address these issues, especially if you're planning to visit for a meal rather than a late-night party. The vibe is very youthful, with plenty of young people dancing on the tables to loud music, so if you're looking for a family dinner, it turns into more of a club atmosphere which is not bad if you are going for clubbing vibe .
