STK Steakhouse Stratford in Newham

Venue 18th floor inside a hotel, beautifully decorated with a view of the city from the roof terrace. Food £49 vibe brunch, - extremely disappointed . Starter and main was stone cold !… main is served with nothing have to buy extras ! Dessert miniature cakes covered in a pile of candy floss plonked on top. Atmosphere / service Extremely loud music , We had to shout constantly over the music, we couldn’t hear the waitress or each other . Staff not very attentive.. waited a while for the table to be cleared and to receive our main . Price overpriced for small portions , bill can up to £160 !! for what i cont know! We removed the service charge , probably one of the worse dining experiences I have had. Would never return .

STK is set on the 18th with lovely views . Arrived at 7-30 and we were taken to our table promptly , then we didn’t see anyone for 30 min . So eventually we went to the bar ourselves to get a drink . After another 10 min we had to ask if we could order our food. Food then came at a nice time but was thrown onto the table. Our food was good and we enjoyed it . Service was terrible food good

Make sure you get Alex as your Bar man, service is impeccable, friendliest of the bar staff and most knowledgeable of the drinks served behind the bar🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My experience was amazing. I was taken care of by the best waiter. Momo His interpersonal skills are amazing and the Conversation was able to flow as if we knew each other before Taste amazing drinks are even better.

It was amazing!!! The staff was lovely!! Especially Luminita was amazing in the STK Stratford!! She really cater to us and make sure we was good! She even gave us one more for the roads! Loved it! Great experience

Amazing service we was left in the service of Pragi very welcoming made us feel relaxed answered any questions we had even gave us some recommendations on drinks very nice waitress experience 10/10 would definitely revisit !

We were not the right clientele for this restaurant. As 2 older people we were at least 20 years older than almost every other diner and, as we were in London to see a rock concert, loud ambient dance music wasn't our thing. The starters were great, the service was lovely. My salmon was spot on and the little cauliflower florets really tasty but my husband had the ravioli which he described as unbelievably bland and floating in water. In fact he felt a.bit queasy so we didn't stay for dessert. The cucumber cooler cocktail was divine though. £180 for the 2 of us. There was also a live saxophonist which was interesting. The other diners seemed to be having a great time but we misjudged the booking. It is clearly a great spot for young, rich Londoners and we didn't fit the bill which is absolutely not the restaurant's responsibility.

It’s just an amazing, beautiful place with such a lovely atmosphere and so kind staff. We were blessed by attention of them. Not even one, there were up to 5 ppl, who really cared about us. U fortunately I haven’t asked names, but I knew some were Latinos and super kind guy from Greece. Big thanx from me and my family)

Fantastic views, restaurant very quiet at lunchtime. Food was overpriced but you are paying for the view. Staff were really friendly but the 'service charge' goes to head office, and not to the staff! I didn't want to add ANOTHER 12% as I'd already paid £60 for a sandwich and chips (and a couple of soft drinks) but I would like the restaurant to change this practice, as the staff were really lovely.

Great brunch. Sarah was very attentive and made our brunch amazing! I would definitely go again. The brunch was worth every penny.

STK adiacente il Me London , da dove si può entrare direttamente! Locale molto particolare , presenta due aree, una come ristorante una per giovani dove accompagnati dalla musica sempre a volume abbastanza alto si può anche ballare Abbiamo gustato la bistecca angus in 4 con contorno e beverage ricevuto con coupon già in nostro possesso ! La carne è di ottima qualità come tutto Il resto Il personale è super presente e gentilissimo! I prezzi sono abbastanza alti rispetto i pub della Zona ! Da provare senza strafare ! Preferirei un sottofondo musicale altrimenti dopo un po’ inizia a farsi sentire il volume elevato !

Pragati, was a great host to us here STK rooftop unfortunately as we were celebrating our anniversary the crow and vibe wasn’t what we were looking for. We were after a more quiet and relaxed evening.

Rib-eye great but sirloin nowhere near as good as previously - maybe changed supplier as quality not up to what we have had before. For a top class steak London restaurant that’s a shame. We’ll give it another go next time we are in London but it needs to improve. Staff charming as ever but the reputation rests on quality at this price level.

Alex and Georgie at the bar were amazing! So personable and knowledgeable about the drinks. They made my friend and I feel so welcome and made some of the best drinks in London!

My friend and I sat by the bar for a couple of drinks after dinner in the city. We met the lovely Alex and Georgie and they recommended us some fabulous cocktails! Exceptional service as I am sure it always is, 100% will come back again and have them recommended more!

If you don’t loud music do not entertain going to this restaurant either Friday or Saturday night. You can literally not hold a conversation across the table. Raised this initially with the waitress who told us it was common complaint and then spoke to the manager who was completely dismissive and stated that they had a dj on Friday and Saturday night to create a vibe. While talking to the manager we also noticed another couple complaining about how loud the music was and they just got up and left. After speaking to the manager who was totally uninterested in what we had to say we just got and left as well which was a great shame as it was our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Will definitely not be returning.

Fantastic service from everyone at STK Stratford, our waiter (Raul) was friendly and helpful with an outstanding attitude that really made our experience. Food was on point as always, cannot recommended enough.

I visited STK Stratford for my nieces birthday dinner. We were hosted by Loredana who was by far the best waitress anyone could ask for. She was super supportive and had great recommendations for the menu. Her attention to detail and quickness to resolve an incident was amazing. A wonderful lady and amazing experience. Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Please try the brioche bread and it’s sauce (chefs kiss)

Hands down the best service ive had in years! Massive thanks to Raul for his service absolutely exceptional. I work in the industry for royals and the service I had here was on par. Oh yeah the food was perfect aswell.

So we have been to this restaurant on various occasions and never had a problem !! All my friends told me not to go there for various reasons !! and to go to the London branch but as I had not encountered any problems I actually defended and promoted this venue BIG MISTAKE !! So we booked a table for 6people in advance on arriving they left us waiting while they got us a table ready !! But then tried to put all 6 of us on a table for 4 obviously when we sat down it was not going to work and I called someone over and said this is not going to work and suggested that they pull the table of 2 over to make a 6 as that's what we had booked after fluffing around they pulled it over so now we all had a place to sit rather than on a corner !! We was greeted by our waiter who to be fair was a very nice chap and he apologized and said we should never of been squeezed in like that and took our order !!! Because we had a big order he suggested we have a complimentary cheese bread that be honest was DRY AS !!! He meant well but AVOID lol SO after a HOUR or LONGER (way to long ) the meals started to arrive I ordered for myself the tomahawk medium ,the waiter put on table and could see straight away it was cremated !! apologized and said I will change straight away was not happy as I had already waited Soooooo long but accepted but obviously was starving at this point especially as my family and friends meals started to arrive everyone's mains come out and my wife's steak which she asked for to be well done NO BLOOD was rare and swimming in blood !! waiter again noticed this and took away to cook some more it came back my wife excepted but still red with blood but did not want to send back to re do as we have all heard the story's right ??? At this point the MANAGER is still bringing out our sides I explained that my steak had gone back and that obviously I wanted my sides with my main !! He just sort of looked blankly at me still with no apologies and took my sides away !! So now my family and guest who's birthday it was have started to finish there dinners all offering me a bit of there's as knew I was PAST hungry !! This is a JOKE !! So I said to the waiter you don't think I'm paying for this steak when it finally arrives he understood my frustration and said he would call the manager over !! At this point I'm still waiting and everyone was finishing and my wife had asked for her bloody (meant to be well done) steak to be taken away !! The manager comes to my table does not introduce himself and say I believe you don't want to pay for the steak !! I said that's right you've ruined my steak and now my night !!! He replied if your gonna eat it your gonna have to pay for it in the most demeaning manner !! Blatantly rude So I asked him to come away from the table as my youngest daughter was feeling the tension and walked to the bar where he repeated the same thing !! WOW !! I said Do you want it or not I will give you 50% off you steak that had just been put on my table I said not problem can I have your name and could you write down head office number please again politely !! He told me his name but refused point blank to write anything down ! I went back to my table as my family were concerned and I was starving started to eat my steak asked for a coke it arrived the poor lad spilt it over on to my Mac and cheese ,jeans ,shoes and possessions it was a accident !! But I asked yet again for the manager to come over his reply was it's only a few drips of coke !! I asked are you still charging me for this steak he said he would see what could do !! But AGAIN just RUDE !!! I finished my food as the cake and candle came out for our friend 60th but obviously this night was a disaster as most of it spent me waiting and talking to the rude rude manager !! The bill come I paid it !! It was not brought over by the manager with a apology instead the waiter who was massively embarrassed I did not get his details as requested so when got home thought give benefit of the doubt and reached out to STK on Insta who apologised and said some would make contact straight away !! SADLY like my steak IM STILL WAITING !

Live local and decided to finally give it a try. Very, very expensive for what you get. Nothing extraordinary to be honest. Slow service at the host counter downstairs. Triple cooked chips (for both of us) were not cooked properly so had to be sent back. By the time they arrived we had nearly finished our steaks. Steaks were ok, though had better. On the bill seemed like the chips were discounted, but actually were not as were taken off but added on again. No massive apology and overall service is actually mediocre. Definitely will not return as besides the view, there are way better places to get much better service and value, such as Hawksmoor. If you want to fetch such prices, up your service and quality standards.

Restaurant was empty when we visited at 3 For a family of 4 for Christmas. As the lead I had drinks poured down my left side, then to only be soaked again on my right side stinking of booze on my clothes for the rest of the day. I actually thought that I was being wound up to see a reaction Sides were late. To then only charge us service charges which we refused to pay. Ruined the total experience.

Extremely slow service. Mains arrived however the sides did not. We asked the waiter and were told if the sides were on the ticket then they would be coming. They eventually arrived after we had finished our mains. I had the ravioli, tepid, tasteless, undercooked and overpriced. Complained to the manager who really couldn't care less. Top tip. Don't pay the service charge. Would have had a better experience and food at Mac Donald's.

Came for the Sunset Menu which is excellent value for money. We all had the calamari starter, 3 of us had the steak which was nice & lean & cooked to perfection. My daughter-in-law had the pumpkin ravioli which also was very good. Service was very good & the restaurant interior & location is stunning. We were all too full for dessert but as it was my husband's birthday they brought him out a nice little birthday cake with sparkler.

Three of my good friends and I tried the new STK last week. Given we are self appointed foodies, and central London is so well served with Steak Restaurants, we were curious about why STK would open out east. The Elizabeth line makes it magically easy to get too. The restaurant sits on top of the Gantry with fantastic views over the Olympic village and is easily as chic as anything in town. Of course it’s the food that counts! Between us we tried super crisp & very spicy Calamari, sophisticated Yellowfin tartare, chicken wings and salad. The starters are generous portions and really well done. Then the main event. I went for Wgyu Pichana, well marinated, black on the outside sucullent medium rare. I managed to convince my friends to let me taste theirs, one had salmon -with crispy skin but still mi cuit inside, one had fillet ( which is usually a bit boring ) but not here and the other went with lamb, again excellent. We probably over ordered sides, we shared the spinach, Mac n Cheese, truffle fries and asparagus. Suffice to say we left satiated and will definitely return !
