Great place! Have visited many times ✖️ over many years and have had all different items from the menu and never been disappointed, staff are all great and today we visited and they had a new addition to the staff, lovely young girl very polite, friendly and smiley Grace look forward to visiting again.

Friendly local cafe, good for breakfast and lunch or a snack whilst out shopping. Popular at peak times when it may be hard to get a table but worth a wait if so.

My mum and I visited here today as we were meeting for coffee around 1ish however when we ordered our drinks we were told if we are not ordering food we must leave. I was completely shocked. I visit this cafe quite frequently and have only ever received good service. We went there as we wanted to support a small business instead of a major chain but service was refused. A customer is a customer. Obviously too greedy! Won't have my custom anymore!!!!!!!!!

Excellent value and very quick. Home made bubble is the best around and poached eggs excellent. Highly recommended

I went to the Stevenage Cafe and Sandwich Bar for some lunch as I was in town doing some shopping and needed a snack. Take a seat at one of the tables and one of the staff will come and take your order. There is a wide variety of different food to choose from so have a look at the menu and make your choice. I did not have long to wait for my order to arrive and it was hot and tasted good. Go to the counter to settle your bill and go on your way.

We called at the Stevenage Cafe And Sandwich Bar on Friday 29th July, 2022, on our way to the south coast. We found it difficult to find any good eateries in Stevenage. As we were hungry this place seemed suitable at the time. However the meal was overcooked with dry omelettes, brittle french fries, and too many garden peas. It's a pity as the owners seemed very friendly. Unfortunately it was not our cup of tea.

Visited Saturday morning with wife, both enjoyed a delicious well cooked breakfast with a mug of tea. Cooked to order, service was polite and efficient. Massive selection of traditional breakfast items, a great "Greasy Spoon" in the best sense. Recommended.

An OK place for greasy food. Served very fast. Not home made. Coffee is nice. The waitresses were quite pleasant so that's a plus.

Clean, huge menu, enormous portions, properly cooked, friendly staff, fast service and excellent value for money. We've been coming here since it opened and they have never let their standards slip. Highly recommended if you want a proper full English.

Visited early on a cold November Sunday morning. Lovely cafe, unpretentious menu, and a huge choice of breakfast items available. Enjoyed a quality full English. Quick service, every item cooked perfectly. Can’t fault it, would definitely visit again next time in Stevenage.

Have visited lots of times for take out and eat in and we really enjoy it the staff are really nice! Wanted to put a nice review as haven’t written one before.

Wow, if you fancy a good breakfast to set you for the day, Stevenage Cafe is the place. Very good value for money. Keep up the great work.

Staying locally and looked for a good value place for breakfast and was not disappointed. Only criticism would be that my veggi breakfast was a bit greasy especially the mushrooms and including toast would be good. Veggi sausages were a bit dry would have preferred Quorn option. All in all decent value and a varied menu.

This is a typically busy cafe - good place for quick coffee, some chips or a burger in the town center. Service is prompt and there is great value for the food offered.

Good fry up and plenty on the menu, great value for money, clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly, thumbs-up from me!

If you need a pit stop for a classic fry up, jacket for lunch or hearty tea then this is the place. Don’t expect 5* dining, however you do get a great portion for great value and speedy service with a smile. The breakfast choices are vast and the jacket potatoes are huge! No negatives apart from the seatings a little cosy!

Breakfast here is second to none. Have whatever combination you like - sausage, egg, bacon, mushrooms, toast, hash browns. Nice coffee and tea and quick service. What more could you want. Only improvement could be fat chips instead of French fries.

This is a typical British cafe in the heart of Stevenage Town Centre. There are lots of cafes in Stevenage but this is by far the best.Good quality cafe food and a wide and varied selection on the menu. A bright and friendly atmosphere and always busy. Me and my Nan have visited this café weekly, for many years now.The staff are always friendly and remember us. Plus they remember me when I visit with other family members (mum, sister, daughter).It's the best cafe in Stevenage. Plus the best omelettes ever tasted. Baguettes plentiful, fully filled.Burgers, jacket potatoes and all breakfasts are yummy yummy yummy.Just visit and find out for yourself.

Lots of choice - nice easy location when in town and good value. Always fairly busy which speaks for itself.

Pedí solomillo cocinado tamaño tristemente salió bien hecho y muy duro y mi boca comenzó a doler porque lo duro y duro que era. Sin embargo, 2 anillos de cebolla champiñones filetes y ensalada para 8 libras es muy buena relación calidad-precio. Volveré pero no pedir el filete

He estado usando este café durante años y nunca he tenido una mala comida. El servicio es rápido, personal agradable y amable. La comida es servida rápidamente y siempre está muy caliente. El café está casi siempre lleno y puede ser un poco agobiante. No dudaría en recomendar este establecimiento y tengo la intención de usarlo como mi Cafe de elección.

Good priced, reasonably good quality food for café menu. Seating very cramped and is popular all of its opening hours.

Estado aquí algunas veces tenía sandwiches desayunos y todas han sido buenas. Muy buen servicio y un personal agradable. Lo único que deseo es margarina muy poco de la Pan. Sin duda volveríamos.

Love this café! Wont go for breakfast anywhere else in town. The service is so quick- both to have your order taken and to have your food served. I like the fact that a full English is the same price all day- it doesn't double in price at 12.01!

Since moving to Stevenage in January this year, I have used this cafe a number of times. It is a classic 'greasy-spoon' style cafe serving all-day breakfasts, hot & cold sandwiches/baguettes/paninis, omelettes, and burgers plus a few main meals.It is always busy but service is good and friendly. The produce used is not top-notch quality but is always very acceptable and in line with the good value prices.Highly recommended for a brunch or lunch pit-stop.

If we are in town and decide to eat this is the place we go, value for money, friendly staff and the best omelettes..It's nothing special in terms of decor but we go to have tasty food not look at the walls

Breakfast meeting with family before going shopping, great quality food, friendly atmosphere, very quick service and very clean and tidy. Even if the place is busy the service is always good. The coffee was served before the breakfast arrived but was piping hot so it was still hot when the breakfasts had been eaten. the meal set us up for the day

Visited here for an early lunch during the week and enjoyed the food well enough. I wasn't wowed in any way by the quality or service but altogether not a bad place to eat.

Came here over the summer one day after needing some food and it was a bit busy at the time but I ordered a burger and chips and it came very quickly, did not get given cutlery though so had to ask for cutlery, but food was cooked freshly and tasted delicious, would happily visit again!

Great staff in this family run cafe and great polite service. the place is spotless and its cheap for the food on offer mostly fried breakfasts and a few "set Lunch" style dinners they also do good sandwiches. Cheap and cheerful, and always busy.

Found this little cafe 1 day when out and about the centre we went in for breakie twice during our weekend stay and we were surprised at how good the breakies were the staff were friendly and to be open at 9am on a Sunday makes it even better its defo worth the money

I go in here sometimes for a break from mooching around the town/shopping. The food seems fresh, friendly staff, usually somewhere to sit if not too busy at lunchtimes, always a good sign.

On arriving at Stevenage at around 2pm we walked around the shopping centre and called into this cafe for a snack. I ordered a bacon and egg baguette and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. This was a good size baguette plentifully filled with bacon with an egg on top. The Baguette was crisp outside with a delicious soft centre.At £2.80 a baguette with 2 fillings was a real bargain.Very fast service with friendly staff.

We often come to this cafe for breakfast and it is always busy. Quite rightly so!!!! The service is excellent, friendly and efficient. The food is well cooked and is good value for money. This cafe had been awarded 5 stars for its food and hygiene by the council. I would totally recommend anyone visiting the town centre to eat here. It is good to see an independent business doing so well amid all the well known fast food chains in the town.

After leaving the Ibis hotel on a Sunday I fancied a cooked breakfast. Tesco's was opposite and had a café, so I went in. I asked for breakfast, but as it was midday and 30 seconds into the afternoon, they said breakfast had finished. The place was empty, I walked out, no wonder Tesco's have just issued two profit warnings. I then walked around Stevenage town centre, and just off one of the main shopping streets saw a café sign. Upon further investigation, it served breakfast all day, and the place was packed. Fortunately there was one small by the table free and I grabbed that. After that, then people were queuing. Now this is not a fine dining experience, this is a traditional "greasy spoon" type of café, but the food wasn't greasy, more than adequate for what I was expecting, the place was clean (has 5 star hygiene grade), and the staff were flat out cooking and serving a full café but made it look easy. I had omelette, chips, beans and coffee, then another coffee and some toast. It wasn't as cheap as Tesco's, but then I had a quality late Sunday breakfast in a lively café with good staff.The only negatives were: the coffee was from a real machine, but a better coffee could be used, and the toilet needs updating, although it was clean.If the Owner reads this, then he should he congratulate his staff who were working on Sunday 26 October 2014 on running the café extremely well. When I am back in Stevenage I will return. Well done and keep up the good work.
