Cocktails from here are horrible. Was like drinking undiluted lime juice. And it wasnt a one off either, as i tried a few.

What a good place to vist staff are the best nothing never to much definitely going again

Vile attitude from a bouncer, avoid this establishment if you expect to be treat like a human being. Friday 13th March at 5.30pm, arrive to be greeted by an aggressive bouncer who demanded I remove my hat. I've just finished work, so complied and entered the building to be met by 4 young chaps with flap caps on, stood at the bar loudly demanding more drinks. Wow. Just wow. The whole place felt on edge, these chavs were in charge. Either the bouncer is their mate or this establishment just don't care about customers being treat fairly. We won't be back!

Walked straight in and was able to get served... Except they no longer offer pitchers, and no longer offer the half-price drinks 5-10 on Saturday! Bit disappointed as these were both advertised on the website!

Not for an oldie like me, could not get served due to people wanting cocktails, so went elsewhere.

Located opposite Princes Quay- drinks only just now but food offering should be coming back in March ! Great bar !! Lovely staff including doorman ! Great cocktails and perfect peroni !

Llegó el sábado pasado con las chicas después de trabajar para unos tragos antes de ir a casa. Ahora no me malinterpreten, 50% 9 ff bebidas es suficiente para atraer a cualquiera. El servicio era lo suficientemente amable, pero las latas que sirven los cócteles es asqueroso! Hay sucio en su interior y que su sabor bebida de tin tanto nos fuimos algunos de los cócteles como todo lo que pudimos probar era de estaño. Volveremos pero todas maneras pedir mi bebida en un vaso en lugar de las latas

Not a great bar, the service was very slow and the tables were covered in empties and spilt drinks that no one bothered to clean up. It was better as the bottom floor of Sugar Mill.

Not being a fan of The Sugar Mill, I was sceptical for a while about trying S&S. However after hearing great reviews, I decided to give it a try and opted to go for a cocktail with my boyfriend before our NYE meal. Spacious, modern and clean, the staff were great and we ordered two drinks, a frozen margarita for myself and a long island iced tea for my boyfriend. The drinks were made quickly and were absoloutely lovely, bonus was that the drinks that we ordered were also half price as part of a NYE offer so we got two cocktails for £7.50. I was so impressed that I went back and ordered a mojito as well- equally as lovely.

Steinbeck & Shaw is a large, typical, mid-upper market bar, serving drinks like champaign/tropical-style cocktails and wine, although sadly classic (and complex/time-consuming to make) cocktails are missing from the menu and the beer selection is paltry. Soft drinks are available and a 50% off cocktails deal made for cheaper drinks when we visited. At other times, expect £7-15 per drink. The ambience is a bizarre mix of glitz, chic, utilitarian, tacky, modern and vintage, so I wasn't quite sure what to think when I came through the door. E.g. as Christmas is around the corner there was a large, white, plastic, minimalist Christmas tree sat next to vintage-looking tables/leather wingbacks. The menus are inside vinyl album cases. Sadly, the floor and tables were pretty sticky in places, the cocktails are served in plastic glasses and there were overly-drunk clientele even though it was still pretty early. Music was loud but that's to be expected. The cocktails tasted good, but were mostly ice. The soft drinks (one of our party ordered a coke) come in a tin can, with ice, which is quirky but really means you only get a rather small volume of actual drink. Staff were attentive and pleasant but rather rushed. Google identifies a 3star review as "ok" and that's how I found this place. It might be great for some - especially if you are going out just to drink and get drunk - but I feel that the place just misses out on having any real heart or identity. I would return but probably only if someone else wanted to come here.

I visited with a group of friends and we had pre poked a booth and a drinks package for the evening! On arrival although we had paid in advance our booth and drinks package had forgotten by the member of staff who took our booking! The manager and bar staff rectified this immediately and we had a really lovely evening and would recommend booking a booth and drinks package for those special nights or girly cocktail nights. We will be visiting again very soon

Great location for post work drinks/couples on an evening out or just meeting friends for quick catch up. The bar was really busy when we arrived but hardly surprising when it's half price drinks between 5-10pm. I had a Porn Star Martini and my husband had a pint of Peroni and we both enjoyed. Some really good seating areas and toilets were clean. Facility to pay on your card which is always a bonus. Will definitely visit again.

Came with a few friends and had a great night. very relaxed atmosphere playing good music. Prices were great, it was happy hour when we went I was told so even better. Great night and a friend ordered nachos which also were fantastic. Definitely would return.

I dragged the missus in for a Saturday afternoon bar crawl and while in there was told it was half price drinks which was a bonus as my missus likes cocktails she's not a cheap date ha ha she had a pornstar which amused me and because of the price we stayed for a several drinks I had blue moon beer which was good and even though the missus said I was very tipsy I feel very good for a Sunday morning so beer was good the missus said she's had better cocktails but for the price can't complain was a good atmosphere

Went here on Saturday night with friends..we ordered a cocktail sharer which was half price.. Couldn't believe it was served in a giant rusty baked bean tin with 4 straws stuck in it.. Couldn't enjoy it as it didn't look clean! When we arrived at the table with it all had a right good laugh about how bad it was..! Saw someone with a smaller cocktail in a small baked beans tin ..noooo not good ..
