A last minute decision to try this on Saturday night as everywhere else was fully booked, now I know why. The place was empty except for 2 other couples so the atmosphere was non existent. We ordered drinks , a beer and a Chardonnay which could have stripped paper off the wall. My partner ordered jelapenos to start which tasted like cheap frozen food from somewhere like Iceland, presented on a bed of broken nachos lettuce tomatoes and onions - bizarre. We both ordered Rib-eye steak medium, one with chips and the other with mashed potatoes. The chips had been cooked in old dirty oil and the mash was frozen then microwaved -yuk. I had Stilton sauce and my partner had pepper corn sauce both were foul and tasted cheap. To be fair the steak was cooked perfectly which is why we were so disappointed in everything else. Such a shame as we try to support local businesses but this not a restaurant merely a cafe that tries to serve evening meals.

Well what a 1st visit. Had been planning to come here for a long time and finally got round to it for my husbands birthday meal. I messaged them first to see if they could cater for gluten free and I was told with notice they could so I booked in advance and just let them know about my allergy. When we arrived I wasn't sure what to expect as it's in a row of shops on a busy housing estate. It was quite small inside but was quirky and had a nice ambience, It isn't like a pub or restaurant I would say more like a bistro. There was 8 of us in total and as it was Friday there was a Fillet Steak offer so a big chunk of us had this whilst the rest had mixed grills. As I could not have some of the accompaniments they put me extra chips which I thought was a lovely touch. Out of our 8 meals there were zero complaints, every piece of steak was lovely, personally probably one of the nicest steaks I have ever had and all the meat on the mixed grills was lovely. If I had to nit pick I would say my steak could have been seasoned more but it is not difficult to just add some salt so it was not a problem as this is just a personal preference. I am pretty sure my friends were really impressed as they are returning tonight for a mixed grill. Although it is not a pub there is a good selection of drinks, the staff were friendly and it was the best eating experience I have had for a long time. I will definitely be returning. Well done Steak Rattle & Roll, made a nice change to get a great meal and not be ripped off.

Good food but terrible service. Wanted to order take away. Called the evening before and was advised to be there at opening time to avoid disappointment. Arrived and was looked at in disgust when I asked what I wanted. Only just opened and the ovens aren’t even warm, you can’t have them now. Never been met with such hostility at a local restaurant. Recommend food but certainly not management

Honestly can't fault this place made us all feel welcome,atmosphere was brilliant there was 13 of us and we all had a laugh with the staff.the food was brilliant 10 out of 10 thankyou for making the occasion even better would highly recommend and will definitely be back

We booked a table for four, upon entering it was a small place and we were sat by the door - which when opened was freezing cold (not the owners fault, it was -1 and they had a heater to eliminate as much as they could) We were greeted and immediately had a great rapport with the lady who looked after us - ahe was super helpful with our orders and questions - *large means double meat* etc.... our steaks were excellent.. medium rare was like butter - I am so surprised at the quality for the price - forget miller and carter - this is the steak place to go - thanks, we had a great meal.

From the outside you could easily drive past or not see it , but once in ,staff very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a rare t-bone and a medium fillet steak , and both where cooked to perfection. Beautiful food , good value , well presented, and better fillet steak than Miller & Carter .. A No frills establishment but would Definitely recommend this restaurant

Well where do I begin … called to order my elderly parents 2 Sunday dinner delivery and had an attitude from the start Because I said I think there post code is … he said first of all get the correct post code and call us back I was holding up a very busy line! I work in customer care and would never speak to a paying customer in this way … anyway dinners ordered mom called me saying we can’t eat this the meat so tough we can’t cut it the potatoes arnt cooked neither are the peas the only thing we ate was the roasters and carrots now bear in mind my dad has dementia’s so because he was hungry had ate a couple .. so I called them back to complain about them not being cooked had a stinking attitude from him saying there’s nothing wrong with the dinners! Mate it’s still in the box uneaten he wasn’t going to refund them 😡 £24 for inedible food and firmly told me NOT TO BOTHER-ORDERING AGAIN THIS IS THE CHEFS ATTITUDE i only hope no other elderly parents get the same inappropriate service anyway in the end delivery driver collected the uneaten food and refunded …to whoever I delt with get yourself to customer service lessons this is not how you deal with a complaint! NOT ONCE WAS I RUDE TO YOU SO DONT BE RUDE TO ME!

I ate here recently with my family and I have to be honest and say the food was terrible. The chips were so bad. Peas were not much better. It was like we were given the last of the day, which is a shame as we spent a lot of money and every meal should be given the same attention. Drinks were fine. Music was good. Sorry to say it but I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Food and drinks were stunning! Lovely atmosphere, staff are super friendly and nothing is too much. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and for the quality of the food. Will be back again soon!

Food was lovely, and everyone in a party of 6 cleared their plates. Steaks were cooked to everyone's liking. Friendly staff willing to go out their way, sing happy birthday and bring out a cake. Only criticism would be the decor that needs a little TLC and the cupboard / storage area that needs clearing out or a door putting on it, but that doesn't distract from the food and friendly staff. Wow recommend 👌

Walked into the restaurant in the search of a good meal, definitely exceed my expectations, good quality food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere it is a small place with limited places so you better book before you walk in, big portions and a really good value for money definitely will return there to give it a try to the Tomahawk steak as this time we had something different. The best steak/mixed grill you will find for miles. Staff are amazing and welcoming, Literally nothing compares. Great value for money to. Cannot rate it highly enough, this will be a weekly visit.

The young lady serving us was very pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble. Meat is sourced from Hill's family butchers in Walsall, and is of a very high quality. Wine is VERY reasonably priced, a bottle of Hardy's Shiraz was just £12.95. A complimentary bottle of birthday Prosecco was presented to me which was a nice touch and good PR. Not a 'full night out' venue, but nice for an early evening Steak. To offer a constructive criticism: a little more finesse with food presentation would just add something, I feel.

Don’t have high chairs for small children 😕😕 and have chosen to edit the review due to the response of the owner…. I have in fact visited the restaurant several times and wanted to visit this time with my family. I was told on the phone that “we haven’t got high chairs for children”. Nothing was said about them being stolen…..

Got to say we were really disappointed. We went with friends at my suggestion last weekend. We arrived fifteen minutes early and were seated only one other table was occupied. Then exactly when our table was booked for our friends joined us. By this point two other couples had arrived and were seated. The young lady who was serving brought us friends their drink orders. Then came straight back and asked for our meal order. I asked if she could please give us FIVE minutes. She went away and immediately came back to say " if we didn't order NOW we would lose our slot" . Feeling annoyed and embarrassed we all just picked something from the menu. Let me point out.,the other three tables all had their food at this point and we were the only other table in the restaurant. The food came it okay but honestly I've had much better at Wetherspoons. Four people, two drinks each and just main courses £120. Very disappointed and we would definitely not go back.

Went here for the first time for my birthday. I cannot fault it one bit. The food was excellent, I had the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, making the night a fantastic birthday. I will definitely be visiting here again to try the rest of their menu

Superb food at great value . I had the t bone (medium rare ) , cooked to perfection, and served with the hottest chips , excellent mushrooms, grilled tomato and peas . A peppercorn sauce complimented the food perfectly. Daughter stated the fillet was”the best steak I’ve ever had”. Service attentive but not intrusive, exactly how it should be . I’m glad we booked as the Restraunt was full . We will be back …
