Best place to eat lobster in London. The service and staff is above and beyond kind and attentive . Special request was made from our side and the staff delivered amazingly. The food is fresh, very well presented, served and prepared. High quality meals. They definitely deserve a mention at #Michellin

SATURDAY 23RD MARCH 2024 Came here reserving a dinner with a friend that has flown in all the way from Alicante. Its not easy to find it's in the back in a door on the left but it has a nice layout and had a chiche feel to it. Unfortunately I have to say whoever trained your staff was incredibly underwhelming. They seemed nervous and hesitant to engage in conversation and couldn't have light heartenedness with them. One of them struggled to get a bottle of wine opened. Also wasn't allowed to have a jug of water to self serve ourselves which I personally found quite odd. Steak was fantastic probably one of the best ever I've had and the lobster was to die for. Unfortunately the chips were so bad I couldn't believe you'd serve some skinny frozen chips for a £44 surf and turf. No flavour or substance you'd be better off serving some chunky fries qnd maybe having them triple fried or at least a spice or some seasoning on them. So disappointing. At the end we were shoved menus to get us to get desserts without asking for permission. It's a very small thing but I think the pouring of the wine every 2 minutes is a tad pedantic. Would I come here again? I would. But not to Warren Street. I wouldn't order the chips and your waitress service leaves alot to be seriously desired. This place could easily be 5 star if you sorted out the minor things.

Two courses and a carafe of wine each came in at £100 a head. Food was very be,ow average, the service extremely confused. Plenty of other places that are better and more reasonably priced. Avoid.

Would recommend the Marble Arch branch as that’s all I’ll be visiting from now on. After mistakenly ordering the wrong thing, the manager refused to bring out a different starter because the waitress sneakily brought it out of the kitchen despite us asking her not to, as we confirmed we ordered the wrong thing whilst it was still in the kitchen.

Excellent food and service. The restaurant’s lighting is too bright though and didn’t really feel like a restaurant of this calibre. Cannot complain about the starters, mains, desserts or drinks but I would have just expected a completely different internal look of the place for the amount you pay (and the fact it was a Friday night).

Absolutely loved this place. Andrew was super helpful with recommendations and made sure myself and family were taken care of. Will definitely come back

My lobster is a bit soft but the service is very good

Lovely restaurant and it was also very clean. The food was lovely. The broccoli came cold however this was quickly sorted with an complimentary dessert which was delicious. My only issue was the waiter failed to inform me there was alcohol in the starter dip, and I do not drink alcohol. I feel it is important to let people know when there is alcohol in certain dishes, due to religious or specific requirements an individual may have. He did apologise, when reporting this to the manager her comment was “ I’m sure you enjoyed it though because it’s one of my favourite dishes” which was very out of order. She also asked me how I knew there was alcohol in the starter, which was besides the point. She did offer a discount on my next visit however, not sure I would go back to that specific venue just because of that comment, however may visit another branch in the future.

Completely empty at 1pm on a Saturday. Food was nothing special and service was largely uninspired.

Went with my husband and we both got the steak lobster. He upgraded to T-bone and I got the sirloin.

A hugely disappointing meal. The restaurant was pleasant & staff were welcoming but sadly the food wasn't what we expected We decided on 2 Surf and Turfs , but were told we were unable to change the type of french fries and would need to order it as a separate side order. The steak, I suspect, was a cheap bavette cut . It was fatty and rare ,rather than the medium we requested. The lobster wasn't a generous portion either. When we complained after the course, as it was difficult to attract anyone's attention, the manager did come over and apologise, and even offered another steak ( although this was after we'd finished the course) We were offered a free dessert and coffee We were also given a 10% discount, but it didn't really compensate for a disappointing meal. I was also surprised that at just after 9pm on a Saturday night the waiters were setting up the tables for breakfast -It spoilt the ambience We assumed a restaurant called The Steak & Lobster, and with quite a limited menu, would excel at Steaks & Lobster,and it did not!

When we arrived for out 5pm booking, the staff were not expecting us. I could see that we were on the system, they clearly just hadn't checked it. The lights were on full & very bright in the whole room and at one point someone was hoovering further down the room. It all felt quite unprepared. Later in our sitting, the light were turned down to a setting you'd expect in a restaurant. The food was lovely, but the staff were not attentive at all. We had to ask to order both drinks & food after waiting a while. I had booked this table to celebrate my birthday with with my family as it was close to Warren street and looked great. My partner had thoughtfully brought a cake along for the end of the meal and after some not-so-subtle conversations with the staff they agreed that they would bring out the cake at the end, but we weren't allowed to eat it there, or they would charge £5 per person. That felt ridiculous to us. Overall, an nice, but strange experience and we probably won't go back.

Visited for the second time after a very enjoyable meal several years ago. Sadly unlikely to return, Service was good, almost too attentive with a constant interruption on whether my husband would have a glass of wine from the bottle in the table, to which he responded many times, not just yet. In the end he allowed them to pour so that the servers would stop asking. However they were pleasant, attentive and hard-working. The decor is tasteful and music at a pleasant level. I was unsure why out of the whole restaurant (which was not busy at the time we arrived) we were led to a tiny, rickety table very close to another party. There was plenty of space and it felt as though we had been given one of the worst tables in the venue, too close to the other party and furthest from the facilities, that wobbled every time you moved. We booked earlier in the week, so we were not unexpected guests. Every time the staff attended to the table next to us, I had to lean to the side so as not to be knocked. Disappointing but in expectation of the meal I let it go. The meal itself was an incredibly disappointing experience. For starters the beef tacos. 90% onion so overpowering that it was all I could taste. My husband had the surf and turf croquettes which were nice and the best part of the meal. For main the surf and Turf and medium rare steak. What I received was a medium well thin cut of gristly meat, with a dollop of chimichurri sauce covering an area of bone, and half a lobster… the empty half. I had to shred the thing to find a mouthful of meat within. The steak was tasteless and overcooked. My husband had a sirloin and said it was no better than a beefeater value meal, overcooked and gristly. Worst of all, nothing to clean your hands in! So a lengthy walk to the bathroom to wash my hands after the hunt for the promised lobster. For a £160 meal, we were left hungry, dissatisfied and in need of mints after the pure onion starter.

Food was ok, sides were really nice and the dessert was good (T bone steak,fillet steak main ,cheese cake dessert ) and the staff was excellent ….to be truthful a good evening out …. and I’ve had a lot worse for more money so overall I would return and try the lobster next time ….so well done Steak and Lobster 👍…….

Overcooked lobster tacos that wasn't tacos waited 30mins for a drink really disappointing especially after they put in a service charge for the pitiful service

The service was 10/10. The food was delicious and the ambience was very nice.

Ate here before attending a show at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Even though we had an early booking (5.30) the set menu on their website was not available. The food was good however my main course (lobster macaroni cheese) was under seasoned and not very cheesy and there was no salt and pepper on the table. The service was very over eager - constantly removing glasses, cutlery from the table when it wasn’t really necessary and if we hadn’t insisted we weren’t ready they would have whipped away the starter plates and plonked down the mains - all within 20 minutes of sitting down!! Same with the dessert - even though we said we wanted a break we were asked every two minutes if we had decided. We gave in in the end and just ordered. It all felt very rushed - and the restaurant was almost empty.

Went to S&L for a surprise birthday dinner and the atmosphere was astounding. Added to the fact that we arrived early, our group was the only one in the restaurant so it felt like we booked the whole place out. We were mainly served by Andrew and Barak and they served at the highest level, operating with respect, speed and the utmost class - they definitely deserve more recognition for how out of their way they went to make our experience enjoyable! The food was exquisite! I had the surf & turf croquettes which were amazing (will be having more of those) and the medium rare steak and chips were delectable. Overall it was simply an amazing experience and I will definitely be there again!

Started very quiet , then picked up. My son has a lot of allergies. They did help him with his choices

The restaurant was inviting and gave up scale vibes. Staff were kind and courteous service was blazing fast extremly suprising my entire meal was out maybe 5 minutes after ordering. I had the ribeye with the parmesean fries. Wow, the fries were delecious right up my alley flavourful and crispy. Steak was cooked as ordered and very tender, although on the plain side flavour wise. The fries were the highlight for me. I did feel I got a good value for the price.

Steak & Lobster in warren st , very nice inside the staff was very good and made us feel at home , the food was good but the sauce blue cheese for the steak was not that good it was moor water, the Lobster & macaroni cheese was not the best , but this place was not as good as the other steak & lobster in oxford st that was fantastic for the food :)

Ambiance was amazing, service was first class, however I feel food could have been more and better value for money.

The other servers were very friendly, however upon telling a waiter my medium steak felt like it was done medium well, being asked in a very condescending way to cut it in front of him and explaining that medium rare has blood (which I already know) I just told him it was okay and dismissed the situation. However that was a very condescending experience, they were questioning me instead of trying to make my experience better. There was another man serving us food and he was much better and friendly. But I didn’t like the attitude of the previous server.

Food was great for the price. Very bland. Messed up on a drink order but food came out quickly. Felt as though it lacked flavour.

Steak and lobster most definitely went downhill since changing owners. It used to be amazing food. Best steak and lobster I’ve ever eaten with unlimited fries and salads. Now the prices are too high and the quality is terrible. Lobsters are small and very bland. No flavour at all same with the steak. There’s no need to respond to my comment as you are saying the same thing to every negative comment. Need more diversity when it comes to staff members also. Very disappointing as this used to be my favourite restaurant. Go burger and lobster instead much better quality.

Restaurant was empty and atmosphere very dead, strange for a Friday night. Good was ok, nothing more. Smell of toilet in the restaurant was evident, there was a problem that became worse the closer one was to the toilets. A forgettable birthday celebration

Good value for money and food was really good. We had a slight hick up with my daughter’s steak. She asked for rare but it came out medium to medium well. There was no issue when we brought it to our waitress’ attention and the steak was promptly replaced with a rare steak. She was also provided with a mocktail on the house.

Quelques fausses notes logistiques. Nous avions réservé a l'avance pour le repas du nouvel an et payé un acompte de 60£ pour celui-ci. Arrivée sur place, on me dit que le paiement est en attente, nous leur montrons la confirmation de paiement, on me demande ensuite de prouver avec mon relevé de compte que j'ai bien été débitée, je trouve la manœuvre un peu intrusive même si je comprends la démarche. Arrivée a table on nous dit qu'il faudra régler l'intégralité de la note et ensuite demandé un remboursement pour le prépaiement malgré toutes les preuves que nous avions déjà payé, qu'ils ont appelé et que notre réservation avait été annulée à cause du paiement bien que nous soyons dans leur liste de réservation, un peu contrariant pour finir cette année 2023. Mis a part ça, le repas était vraiment excellent aussi bien en présentation qu'en goût, les serveurs étaient vraiment au top mais le service un peu expéditif, entré-plat-dessert en 1h top chrono mais nous mettrons ça sur le compte du 31decembre. Le cadre est absolument fabuleux. Nous sommes ravis du repas mais un peu contrariés sur la façon dont notre réservation a été gérée.

Food not up to the standard 😔 Arrived cold dry and tasteless

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. We came on NYE and had the set menu. The starter was very bland and poorly done, little effort put into it for the price. The steak was actually very nice but everything else felt a lack of effort and very average for the price we paid. A starter was also spilt over my partner but no apology, they did replace this though. You could see the staff were trying their best but it was hectic and just a very manic experience. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately!

The Music was to Loud. We had difficulty listen to each other. We missed a little mayonnaise sauce for the lobster Other wise a good evening. Thank you

I recently had dinner with friends at the Steak and Lobster restaurant, and it was a great experience. The ambience was inviting, the service was excellent, and the menu offered a delightful variety. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster was incredibly succulent. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Customers service was exceptional the staff were very accomodating.The ambience was pleasant, good music, lighting, clean environment and lovely decor. The meal was very disappointing. Food presentation needs to be improved, for example, the steak and chips plonked on plate with no garnish or sauce. We had to ask for condiments, which should have been placed on the table just before the meals were served. Steak eaters said it was bland/food lacked flavour. The veggie options are poor. I ordered a veggie meat mac & cheese 'well God bless' the 5 tiny strips of meat free bits that were placed in the far right-hand side in the mac & cheese container. It took me a while to dig and find it. The parmesm fries were good. Overall, the veggie menu is not worth ordering, just go for a desert instead. It's a shame because they could do something great there if they put more thought and love into the food. I would only visit there for drinks and move on somewhere else for a meal. So to conclude truly helpful nice staff, lobster was fine but steak is a no no.

This was a lovely restaurant. Looks like a pub from the outside and following a warm welcome we were shown to the restaurant further through the back. It was decorated well and the atmosphere was bright and cosy. A great place to chill and have some food with my friends. Indulging in the Steak rolls, blackened steak salad and the mason jar dessert. My friend having the cookie dough dessert that I have dessert envy of. Really nice evening.

All surf & turf rolls were extremely dry and there were only 3 little pieces of meat and hardly any lobster.

I recently dined at the steak and lobster restaurant, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The starters were a letdown. Unfortunately, they lacked. I ordered tacos but received these cold crème fresh crackers instead. It was a bit disappointing, especially considering the reputation of the place. On a brighter note, the mains were outstanding. The lobster was cooked to perfection, and the portions were impressively generous.The fries were so crispy and the lobster was covered in garlic butter. In summary, while the starters left something to be desired, the excellence of the main course redeemed the meal and left me with a positive impression of the restaurant.

The food was fine, but a little disappointing for the price. My lobster mac 'n' cheese tasted great, but the sauce was a bit thin and runny. It would have been nice to see some additional garnish with both the steak and the mac 'n' cheese, if only a sprig of parsley. Service was great though.

Had the set menu deal at lunchtime which we thoroughly enjoyed and was very good value. They were very accommodating as I have a shellfish allergy and my husband is Coeliac so we were assured that the fries would be cooked in a separate fryer.

Food is nice, if a bit pricey for what is offered. The staff were excellent - attentive without interrupting. My team also particularly enjoyed the nice smelling hand lotion and soap in the bathrooms!

The food was very average unfortunately. Steaks were not cooked how we wanted. Lobsters were lovely albeit being very small. Desserts were OK and unfortunately service was very friendly but I found a lot of the little things unprofessional.

Food was WAY overpriced for what you got. Bland, dry and lukewarm. Steak and Lobster are a high end Morley’s pretending to be The Savoy. You are NOT the Savoy. No sauce with steak or lobster and when I asked for some I was charged. I had to ask 3 times for a steak knife and others were left with their food in front of them but no cutlery. Bar staff didn’t know the difference between a Mojito and a Daiquiri. When I told the bar tender I asked for a Mojito, he shouted NO, came from behind the bar and confronted my whole table saying the drinks mentioned are the same thing!?! When dessert came I received a bowl of marshmallows and 2 subway cookies 🤔 this was NOT the cookie dough I was expecting. The Birthday girl asked for the brownie dessert and was given 3 scoops of ice cream with brownie sauce ?!? When we asked the waiters where the brownie was they made her pour out the whole mason jar and to nobodies surprise there was not a crumb of brownie. I gave two stars for the atmosphere as the decor is beautiful and I was surrounded by friends and family. But the waiters ruined it and brought my stars all the way down. Overall, I am shocked at the service and food. They don’t even come close to Burger and Lobster. If I was you, I would not waste my money. I will NOT be going back.

The service was great, and the cocktails were enjoyable. The ambiance and interior design created a pleasant atmosphere, and the surf and turf croquettes were delicious. However, the surf and turf bun was dry, the overcooked steak and minimal presence of lobster were disappointing. Similarly, the lobster mac and cheese lacked substantial lobster portions. Additionally, the pricing of the surf and turf grill platter felt over the top, especially charging £3 for sauce alongside a £55 dish, especially given the minimal lobster present.

With less than 20 items on a menu you would expect all of them to be finished to a high standard given the price point. We ended up here because Goucho was booked for a private function and what unfolded was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. We had a full Lobster, 1 fillet and 1 sirloin. Never in my life have I eaten steak with so much connective tissue, a lobster so chewy it made your jaw ache more than the night after a trip to a 90's rave. Overpriced and lifeless wine. The only redeeming factor was the wonderful staff, but my god. This meal run us £200+ and it was worse than something I would have got in a spoons. I am gutted that I lost a rare evening out to the worst quality food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The VC backers will be taking a haircut as well as an uncomfortable dump if this is what the group serves up and calls it food.

Really disappointed with this restaurant. Ordered the beef tacos to start and they weren't tacos they were basically Pringles with cold meat on top. I then ordered the lobster and steak surf and turf and another searing disappointment. They use a really big roll and basically put hardly anything in it. My colleague had the set menu and ordered steak and my other colleague didn't go with the set menu and had steak and was given half the amount of the person who was paying slightly less on the set menu. Total rip off. Also had a tomato and feta salad and the produce used tasted like Tesco's salad tomatoes, cheap and flavourless .Service was diabolical, far too many staff miscommunicating with each other. Basic rules of eating is that you do not clear plates until everyone is finished, but they just couldn't help themselves. Constantly hovering around the table and trying to take food that wasn't finished.bringing the wrong food, not bringing food, waiting 15 mins for a desert menue even though the place was empty. I wouldn't recommend and I definitely wouldn't go back you need to actually start putting a full portion of the lobster you promise into your rolls. Meal came to over £200, Which is no issue when the food tastes lovely but this was under average at best

This was a last minute booking and they have a great early bird set menu. I was a little earlier than my guests so opted to get a glass of wine from the bar. I went up to the bar to order the wine and I asked why I was charged service charge as it wasn’t table service, the barman explained that he couldn’t override it. Only £1.50 but it put a dampener on the start of my evening especially as the menu states the service charge is discretionary and I went to the bar, I didn’t use table service! Anyway. Onto the food. Two courses for £29 is a bargain in London, good size of steak and fries but it’s a shame there wasn’t anything else on the plate (I’m comparing it to another steakhouse where a sauce and onion load is included for the same price). All in all, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special.

Had to return lobster and Mac as heavily salted. Price didn’t warrant the quality of food. Service ok.

I came here last night and it was really lovely, great service! Definitely coming back! If I had to nitpick, then I would gently suggest the restaurant reconsider the title of their 'warm cookie dough dessert'. It's technically lovely marshmellows with a warm snicker like dessert underneath the toasted marshmellows accompanied by two nice cookies that are separate. Other than that, fantastic!

Very average meal for something that is meant to be decadent. Soulless restaurant attached to Raddison Blue hotel filled with tourists and business travellers. Server however was very sweet and helped to crack my lobster 🦞

This was a disappointing experience. The beef tacos (starter) a disappointment. The fillet very cooked and dry, although we asked for medium well. Desert was good. The staff were overly eager to serve. Restaurant was quiet.There were four waiters at one point serving our table. All kept on wanting to take back the same glass when we asked to keep it on the table. At different times they would come to ask if we wanted something else or wanted dessert etc. it became a bit annoying at the end as we had to repeat the same thing to each waiter that came. But the quality of the beef tacos was what really disappointed us, whatever that is is not a beef taco, very far from it!

Warmly welcomed , very friendly service, staff couldn't do enough for us! Food was nice (my steak was a little dry), our teenagers loved the food. Ambience was perfect for us, quite buzzy but not overly noisy. The total bill was more than we had expected but was fine as overall a really nice time spent there.

What a great spot for a pre theatre meal and drinks. Would recommend and visit again.

Booked a table, wasn’t necessary. We were the only ones in the restaurant for hours. We’ve ordered 2 steak and lobster brioche, it was over cooked to our disappointment after waiting on the food for some time. The staff is lovely but the food really let us down.

Restaurant refused to honour discount offered by online reservation website (TheFork) despite having email and written confirmation, seems like a good way to force customers to overpay with an already overpriced menu. Avoid at all cost!!

Probably not news but this place is not great. The ambiance was very much hotel brasserie, mainly for those who are too tired to venture elsewhere presumably. My lobster tagliatelle was smothered in cheese sauce with a few bits of frozen lobster meat. No taste of lobster was really discernible. The price was far too high for the quality. The service was good and the wine was nice but would not go again.

Such a nice place in central London. The restaurant is very spacious and nicely decorated. The food, especially the lobster and steak are brilliant. Staffs were warm and friendly, Nelum was very nice and patiently answered all our questions when we were a bit confused about the menu. Very nice place to treat family and friendly.

Came for a birthday celebration, and they charge you for dinning with your own cake. It's not like you have any birthday dessert options. The service was also poor and they were not attentive unlike to other tables. Check your serving policy, anyone can easily notice when a particular table is not being attended to unlike others. I will leave the reason up to your imagination, but it is implied. One thing for sure is I won't be coming here again, nor recommending it.

Dessert off key lime pie was very nice and super creamy, with just of enough lime flavour. A final touch from the team was a small plate with some petit fours wishing it's a happy anniversary. All in all I would highly recommend, especially as this was my wife's first time taking lobster and she was very impressed.

Dessert off key lime pie was very nice and super creamy, with just of enough lime flavour. A final touch from the team was a small plate with some petit fours wishing it's a happy anniversary. All in all I would highly recommend, especially as this was my wife's first time taking lobster and she was very impressed.

The venue is very nice. We got the set menu which I couldn't see when booking so didn't know exactly what was on it (my own fault). The only issue is when we got there and I saw what was on the menu, I asked if we could change to the al a cart menu. They said no, I asked even if we spent more than the set menu price they still said no.. the service was great, the ambience was nice. But wished the waiter didn't hover so much. Would definitely go again.

As a family we enjoyed our visit at Steak & Lobster. Maybe the lobster mac & cheese could use a little improving, however we liked our entrees. We would recommend.

It's not a cheap lunch, but the food is great. Only had one issue with one of party's main, but the restaurant resolved the issue, the manager apologised, and they gave complimentary chips and coffee. Highly recommend the surf and turf croquettes, and the lime cheesecake.
