Von dem Marktplatz aus muss man Treppen hinunter gehen, um in das schöne Restaurant zu kommen. Da es über keine Fenster verfügt, hat man fast den Eindruck in eine Club/Bar atmospäre zu kommen. Was eigentlich sehr schön ist. Es gibt kleine Alcoven und Ecken zum gemütlichen Sitzen, aber auch Tische, die sich nach dem Zusammenschieben für größere Gruppen eignen. Der Service war sehr freundlich, nett und flott. Die Getränke gut und das Essen sehr lecker und frisch.

We attended Stazione for a friends 50th birthday. We all said it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was lovely and clean and right in the centre of Cambridge. Not only that but the Pinot Grigio was also really good. I cant recommend this restaurant more highly. Most of us had garlic bread for a starter and one had the soup which he said was delicious. The restaurants owner gave us some complimentary bread and olives due to us being there for a birthday. It was a really nice touch. Thank you Stazione for a lovely evening.

Went here for my 50th birthday as I wanted Italian but didn’t want to go to a big chain. They managed to accommodate 8 of us with about 2 hours notice. No one in our party had any complaints and enjoyed all the courses. Some had pasta some had pizza. I had pizza and it exceeded my expectations, especially the base. Mine main course was just under £15 but he knocked £20 of the bill for my birthday. Will return next time I’m in Cambridge.

Delicious pasta dishes, carbonara and bolognese ave. A magnificent salad. Really adorable and charming welcome at a time when everything was closing. A great experience 😀

We stayed in Cambridge with some friends and had breakfast at Stazione Restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We dined in the outside seating area which was very pleasant. Toilet facilities were inside the restaurant and were very clean. The food was very good and plentiful all severs with a smile and a hot cup of tea. Would recommend and certainly revisit in our next trip to Cambridge.

We visited Staziones with friends and family while in town for a wedding, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The owner treated us like family from the moment we walked in—he was gracious, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the lasagna, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. Every dish was top-notch, and you could really taste the quality and care that went into the preparation. We were visiting from California, and the bride, groom, and groom's parents (who are locals from Cambridge) joined us for dinner. They highly recommended Staziones, and now I understand why! If you’re looking for a warm, inviting atmosphere with incredible food, you have to try Staziones. It’s truly a gem!

Waited far too long and paid far too much for mediocre food and bad service. We kept waiting for cutlery and water, don’t bother and get a cheaper, tastier, and all round better experience somewhere like franco manca

I popped in during a busy lunchtime for a quick bite to eat. We sat outside as it was warm and the atmosphere seemed nice and relaxed, a perfect spot to watch the world go by. The food was excellent. I had the Caesar salad with chicken which was fresh, well prepared and plentiful. The owner was hands on and very welcoming which is always nice to see. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I was brought here for lunch by a work colleague who highly recommended the food. The lovely gentleman was exceptionally lovely and even customised my meal. I had a pasta dish with chicken, various veg and a creamy sauce. It was DIVINE. I have never eaten pasta so delicious. I will definitely return for more. Read the small print on the menu if you want to pay with a card, won't accept anything except cash if you spend less than £40. Mediocre food.

In the letter they already say that the minimum to pay by card is £40. With that I'm starting to get suspicious! And coincidentally, when we asked for the bill, and we were alone in the restaurant, the dataphone didn't work!!! A great coincidence, or is it that they showed off their great fortune-telling skills, since they told us before trying it!! But the boss had everything under control! Coincidentally, you have a cashier right above, to which the boss accompanies you without any problem!! Honestly, I think they have very rehearsed the act!

Great food with attentive staff. Food has great taste, and they take our requests seriously for certain exclusion in our food. We sat in the basement, but they also have outdoor dining. Highly recommended if you are in Cambridge City centre.

Stazione is our go-to restaurant in Cambridge. The food is always delicious, generously portioned and full of authentic Italian flavour. We love the ambience and the chats with the owner, Ab and his lovely team. Had a fabulous lasagne there yesterday, and my husband really enjoyed his carbonara.

Took a trip to Cambridge today and came across this wonderful Gem of a restaurant. Truly wonderful food with a warm friendly family run atmosphere.

First time here and I can’t stop thinking about the delicious flavours, the food was incredible! The staff were extremely friendly, with amazing customer service. I can’t recommend this place enough! Everything was 10000/10 (if I could give more stars I would!)

My wife and I visited on a Monday evening. We were given the option of eating outside, but chose to go in the very nice basement main restaurant. Service was very prompt, from friendly staff, nice food with good sized portions. I can recommend the wonderfully tendet swordfish, and the delicate homemade tiramisu. So good that we'll be straight back tomorrow.

Fantastic restaurant. Staff are friendly, the decor is warm and welcoming and I can’t get enough of the Lasagne. It was the only place I wanted to eat at, to carb up before London marathon.

Good menu - not a "pizza palace" like most of the other Italian restaurants in Cambridge appear to be. cannot say anything bto add to all the stars.

This is a great place to have a meal in Cambridge - with really friendly and proactive staff with a hoot of a Maitre D who goes out of his way to ensure clients are well served and entertained. We found the menu had great variety - all our meals were delicious and arrived promptly. A large group of students arrived shortly after us and they were served very quickly too- they have good deals apparently if you show your student card! So many restaurants these days have impersonal service and disinterested staff - this is the opposite of that and we all really appreciated the attention to detail. Will be returning soon!

We came on a casual recommendation and it was worth it. Service was professional and top class. The food was just as good. In a group of 6 we had a variety of dishes and all were enjoyable. The prices were very reasonable. If we are back in Cambridge we will dine again here.

I found this restaurant recommended on Tripadvisor and booked it for myself and 7 colleagues. We were not disappointed! What a find! The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful and our meals were fresh, tasty and delicious. Special thanks for advising one of our group who is gluten intolerant . A wonderful meal was had by all. Not only wonderful tasting food, excellent service from the owners, also lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. I highly recommend popping in for a wonderful dining experience. You have to try the Tiramisu... to die for and home made.

I must say the food was lovely, nicely cooked and well presented. But the service was outstanding, we had a family day out in Cambridge for mums 80th and this was a perfect way to end it. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble, from aged 4 to 80 everyone left feeling happy (and full). Thoroughly recommend (and very reasonably priced).

The Stazione is central, just by the market square (not the station!), and has a large dining room below street level as well as outdoor seating. The meal we had was exceptionally well prepared and presented. We ate well (two courses and wine) for £81 including 12.5% service, which I thought was a very reasonable price. The manager warned us about a large group of South American kids who were having lunch during our meal. They were rather noisy, but no much as to spoil our meal. I misinterpreted the manager's remarks about this and another matter, but in due course I realised this was a miscommunication only.

The food was amazing and there is a lovely atmosphere. The staff as well are very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend anyone in Cambridge to make a visit here as I will definitely be returning.

Been here twice and each time has been great. Took my girlfriend here and the staff were kind and attentive and the food was good, owner was very sincere. We especially liked the lasagna. Don’t know why there are so many one star reviews, seems like someone’s trying to review bomb it. There’s really nothing wrong with this place. Maybe it’s because of the service charge? Better than US tips these days anyhow.

You can't eat it, it's unhealthy, expensive and they scam everyone with their card payment clauses and if it has gluten don't eat there because they have a lack of control over the dishes and also 4 euros more per dish

They have overcharged us for gluten-free food, and a high price for service. I do not recommend it.

Recently dined here after living in Cambridge for 5 years and never been! We were searching high and low for somewhere to eat on a Friday night and stumbled here with our party of 7. We were welcomed with excitement and smiles, immediately seated and sorted with drinks and starters. The food was AMAZING. You can 100% tell the food is homemade and made well. I enjoyed the salmon, it was a generous portion which you don’t often get around Cambridge. My partner had the spaghetti bolognaise which again, was amazing. The risotto was also lovely and the rest of the party had the pizza’s which, clean plates tells me everyone loved that’s too! We will 100% be back for more, especially in the summer!!

A wonderful hidden gem. We found Stazione on a quiet February Monday evening. We weren't sure what to expect as we descended the stairs, but we were met with a very warm welcome. The waiter was friendly and couldn't do enough for us, even offering to go to the Tesco opposite to get drinks that he didn't have on the menu. We ordered carbonara, and the marinated lamb chops. These came with two free sides of home made chips and a salad ("because we're quiet tonight") Both mains were delicious. With the carbonara on par with the dishes my Italian relatives have made for me. While we waited for our mains the waiter returned with a plate of warm bread, olives and dip. Again on the house. You just don't get that kind of service in a chain restaurant. We had the home made tiramisu for dessert which was decent. Stazione is definitely recommended.

I visited Stazione last night and it was a last minute decision, yet my best decision! The staff were super friendly and kind. They were happy to make small adjustments for me and my friend. The food was also amazing with quality service. Would definitely recommend if visiting Cambridge or already live there :)

We enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner very much. Staff were exceptionally friendly. We ate early and the restaurant was empty when we arrived. Food was very good. Only downside was that as a non meat eater most if not all the veggie options contained goats cheese...

Great relaxing atmosphere the food is fantastic tastes amazing. First time i have been here during a short cambridge visit and it is well worth it. Food is cooked to perfection and i am very impressed. I got the started picture forgot to take a picture of the main. I recommend the lasagne for main and bruchetta as a starter. Ab is a great host and cares about his customers, friendly, talkative and good company.

Very friendly, fast and good food. We went with a 15% discount for buying tickets for panting along the river, so we ended up at 18.50 pounds per head.

Specially orders some Tomahawk Steaks for our staff party and they not only came PERECTLY cooked but the owner was so attentive to our table and really gave us exceptional service. The food was elite and the atmosphere and staff were fantastic.

Meal was good and our waiter was very fast and efficient. I will say that you need to bring cash with you because if your meal is under £40 you can't put it on your charge card. But over all service was fast and the pasta was delicious.

What a hidden gem of Cambridge town centre…This is the most beautiful family ran Italian restaurant… romantic and classic decor with a relaxed atmosphere of a time gone by…. traditional Italian menu (the mushroom starter and lasgana is to die for!) friendly, warm and professional service with a genuine smiles. How restaurants of a bygone era were ran… with attention to detail a warm and inviting atmosphere. You must come here to avoid the chains that have taken over the high street. I promise you will not be disappointed…. The pre theatre menu is a must and so much food, portions are fabulous and it’s a real taste of Italy. The amatore white wine is a perfect complement and after a bottle we had to have it in the red!! We loved everything about this charming Italian, and hope you do to. We had 2 delicious pizzas, one vegan that was requested. Great value for money. Kind of had a cool New York jazzy vibe inside. Felt more special than your corporate high street pizzeria. Highly recommend. Service was old school professional.
