Bella Italia Cambridge Grafton Centre in Cambridge

Went yesterday and been years since I visited the restaurant. Understaffed. Told to come back, did and then waited quite a bit for the order to be taken. Was using vouchers and they wouldn't let you use them for the set menu. Food average- over priced, understand this industry is struggling but when you go to restaurants like that, you understand why a coffee and a sandwich would have been a cheaper option even without the vouchers.

Quite disappointed and frustrated that there is a promotion in place. We followed the instructions by staff not to order the set menu but the separate dishes. But in the end we ordered food at higher prices however the promotion code cannot be applied.

Such a lovely and warm atmosphere. Waiter Franco was lovely, he made my day. Such a friendly, gave and advise about food and wine. Thank you for warm welcome 🫶🏼

Unfortunately I and other guests were waiting at least an hour and a half for our food. There was only one chef in and 2 waiters so I understand that they are busy but an hour and a half for 2 pizzas is insane. Some guests left due to the wait. Some guests that came in after myself got their food relatively quickly. The waitress that served us only came over to apologise for the wait after we'd been waiting over an hour. However I believe she was likely nervous to tell people about the delay as she did receive some verbal abuse from other diners. Management needs to get on this. It is unfair for both the other staff and the customers.

Superb a evening on the 13th March 2024 with my family. Fantastic service and food served by Franco. Would really recommend.

Nice atmosphere and nice food. Freindly staff. I liked the Calzone, but it was a bit bad at the beginning (lots of crust). The juice was too sweet but liked it overall. They staff is very kind if you don't like your food. They offer a change free of charge, and I was impressed about that.

The food was a bit of a miss for some (the starters and pollo funghi were great though). Service was brilliant! Hannah was great and welcoming!

Went in for very quick lunch on the go. In and out in 25 minutes. Pasta was hot and basic tasty.

For what we paid thought food was small,no side order just dish , overmicrowaved !!!!!

we came here for a school convention, needless to say they took advantage of the fact that we are Italian and changed the menu for which we had already paid. They justified themselves by saying that we had paid for "half a pizza with chips" when in reality it was simply pizza and fries and dessert. We only finished the pizza out of hunger, otherwise it would have stayed there! There is nothing Italian about it have a good day

The pizza I had here was actually phenomenal. I don't know where some of the other reviewers were eating, or if they've upped their game, but it was perfectly done and was nice and hot when it got to me. I could've eaten it twice. Service was ✨🌟 Top Notch 🌟✨, really friendly Aussie guy who was so chatty and nice to us (and the other tables too). Attentive staff and nice ambience in there, feels worlds away from the Grafton lol. Will definitely be back!

On Monday the 22/01/24 we had a meal I went for the seafood risotto about 12:30 everything seemed fine by 2:30pm I was violently sick and had diarrhoea,for the next two days I have been so ill,with pains in my stomach,sickness,diarrhoea and a high temperature.i have contacted the restaurant twice and still today I await contact from them. Be warned everyone if you do eat at Bella italia in the grafton don't eat the seafood risotto as they are clearly not using fresh fish or they are not storing it properly.......

I came in a few days ago and was immediately greeted by olivia. Olivia was extremely helpful throughout the whole experience, recommending drinks and meals as well as being super efficient in taking my order and delivering it! Will definitely visit again soon! X

AVOID THIS BRANCH. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!! WORST MANAGEMENT. Ordered on Uber Eats they gave me wrong order because they ran out of what I actually ordered. INSTEAD OF CALLING ME UP THEY JUST WROTE “sorry” on the bag. I was horrified. Went in person for refund and manager was rude and tried to say it was out of his power to refund me and to go through uber. Instead of blaming uber he should’ve refunded me. Food was awful anyways. Just terribly put bland box food served for double the price. Manager if you’re reading this symmm 🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾 totally abrupt and unprofessional. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. STINGY PORTIONS.

Top 3 Bella Italia restaurant in UK and I’ve been in many. Great food as usual and staff was so much fun !

A visit to Bella Itaila restaurant was great. The service, food and atmosphere was top notch. We will definitely visit there again more than once. We were particularly captivated by the professionalism of the service. Everyone was very friendly, the food delivered to the table was at an express pace. With a pure heart I give 5 stars!

Really good service and romantic atmosphere

Very poor management, was queueing for lunch, I see there is still many table inside the restaurant. However, the staff told us they only have table for 4 but not table for 2 of us. So I asked if 2 of us can seat on the 4 seat table, unfortunately, they told us to wait for half hours and they end up letting other more group of 4 in. I've been here few times already, the food service come ridiculously slow.

Ordered online, received only half our order. Tried to call the restaurant but no-one answered.

The pizzas were not of a standard I expected. I saw through the kitchen opening that they go through a TOASTER for pizza's!! Taste was bad, texture was poor and this is not ok for a £11 pizza. Will not be going back to a Bella Italia for the food. Staff were friendly enough.

Food was very quick to be delivered to our table. My partner and mines food was nice however for the price of around £14-16 of pasta, we both agreed the dishes could have been a bit bigger!! I was still hungry after our meal I had to go to kfc to get a light bite. Even with our garlic butter dough ball starter, there could have been a couple more dough balls. Overall, food was nice but expensive for how little quantity food you get.

Olivia was very lovely server, the food was excellent, no complaints there, the dessert was a little slow coming out but nothing seriously to moan about, sat in a booth open to the Grafton center and felt a little cold, but nothing major. Good understanding of celiac and gluten free needs

Food and staff great.... unfortunately we sat near the open edge into the centre and it was a cold day and quite drafty which spoilet the experience somewhat....why there wasn't at least a glass screen for protection I have no idea

We went for lunch today (Tuesday) there were a couple of people in and it did get busier before we left. Me and my partner both ordered a pizza, I amended my pizza and took off the spinach and onions to swap to mushrooms which were no problem. We were sat in a booth near where you come in and there was definitely a draft, we were going to move but the restaurant isn't really covered anywhere which lead to our food going cold very quickly. The bacon was so cold it had gone hard. The toilets were not in a good way (both male toilets and female toilets). They also smelt. The two members of staff we spoke to during our visit were pleasant. The table and seating area was clean.

It was a quiet weekday afternoon, so bit quiet... Would likely have more atmosphere when busier. Good, well prepared food and varied menu that you'd expect here.
