Bella Italia Cambridge Grafton Centre in Cambridge

The food is decent, though nothing remarkable—just what you'd expect from an Italian chain. However, the service was disappointing. It felt like the staff couldn't care less about the customers, unless perhaps you were one of their 'favorites.' When they got my order wrong, there wasn’t even a hint of an apology. This will be my last visit to Bella Italia.

First class customer service from Franco. He gave a lovely recommendation on a drink which we wouldn't of tried. Unfortunately I ordered a calzon and didn't realise it would be so spicy he swapped it over for me straight away quick and fresh. I would definitely come here again just for Franco.

The service her was really good. The knowledge of gluten free was also very good. There was a wide range of dishes and I was assured of no cross contamination. The gluten free food arrived separately with a little flag to avoid mix ups. Delicious!

I'm not a huge fan of eating in a mall, but this little restaurant is great. There's especially a waiter who's been working there for a while, who is awesome. You always leave with a smile after chatting with that guy. The food is great too.

We were there with the baby and a stroller so were offered several seats to choose from by the administrator at the start of our visit. We were quite surprised when the gentleman who was serving food mumbled several times when passing us that we were in his way and how inconvenient it was for him we sat there! Very rude. The cherry on top was my husband’s mozzarella pomodoro never had mozzarella in it somehow and my pasta with mushrooms and chicken felt like it was heated from a box and overcooked. It was our first time there and I think the last 😅

I recently dined at Bella Italia and it was an unforgettable experience! The Spaghetti Carbonara was divine, with perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful pancetta. The Tiramisu, light and creamy, was the highlight. Bella Italia exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, outstanding service, and charming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Franco is an exceptional host. He is always welcoming and positive and friendly. We love coming back here for delicious food and amazing atmosphere.

I have visited this restaurant several times and I always get great service. Unfortunately I don’t know the gentleman’s name but I believe he comes from New Zealand/south Africa??. He is always so very pleasant and it makes the experience so enjoyable.

My partner and I absolutely love dining here. Olivia is such an angel, she is so polite with the best attitude toward customers, she is patient and willing to explain or suggest different foods and drinks. I absolutely recommend Bella Italia!

I came in a few days ago and was immediately greeted by olivia. Olivia was extremely helpful throughout the whole experience, recommending drinks and meals as well as being super efficient in taking my order and delivering it! Will definitely visit again soon!

Franco was a lovely server, very attentive and quick service :) the food was really good was really but garlic crust was misleading as we were expecting stuffed crust instead of oil, but was very yummy otherwise!!

0 Stars! Asked for a table for 5 that id booked 10 mins earlier, youd of thought id asked for his mums number the look i got. Sat at a table for 20 mins not even asked what drinks we wanted, you wernt even that busy. Cleaning the tables around us was obviously more important than serving. We left hungry and went to a nearby restaurant, they were happy to take our order.

Had a great experience, the restaurant was busy but the waitress took good care of us, the food was nice, really enjoyed the lasagna and my kids really enjoyed the options on the kids menu.

Went yesterday and been years since I visited the restaurant. Understaffed. Told to come back, did and then waited quite a bit for the order to be taken. Was using vouchers and they wouldn't let you use them for the set menu. Food average- over priced, understand this industry is struggling but when you go to restaurants like that, you understand why a coffee and a sandwich would have been a cheaper option even without the vouchers.

Quite disappointed and frustrated that there is a promotion in place. We followed the instructions by staff not to order the set menu but the separate dishes. But in the end we ordered food at higher prices however the promotion code cannot be applied.

Such a lovely and warm atmosphere. Waiter Franco was lovely, he made my day. Such a friendly, gave and advise about food and wine. Thank you for warm welcome 🫶🏼

Always look out a Bella Italia when we go away for a weekend. Cambridge staff were pleasant and courteous. Menu had a range of reasonable priced pizza and pastas. Our choice of Carbonara and Calzone were served hot and the food was delicious. The only thing I don’t like is the cleverly hidden service charge. Fell for this trick in Bath last year where we tipped staff then after realised a service charge was added to the bill. Aware of it on this trip I double checked before paying and sure enough it’s there - even though you need a magnifying glass to see the service charge addition compared to the font size of the rest of the bill. Sneaky at the very least.

Unfortunately I and other guests were waiting at least an hour and a half for our food. There was only one chef in and 2 waiters so I understand that they are busy but an hour and a half for 2 pizzas is insane. Some guests left due to the wait. Some guests that came in after myself got their food relatively quickly. The waitress that served us only came over to apologise for the wait after we'd been waiting over an hour. However I believe she was likely nervous to tell people about the delay as she did receive some verbal abuse from other diners. Management needs to get on this. It is unfair for both the other staff and the customers.

Nice atmosphere and nice food. Freindly staff. I liked the Calzone, but it was a bit bad at the beginning (lots of crust). The juice was too sweet but liked it overall. They staff is very kind if you don't like your food. They offer a change free of charge, and I was impressed about that.

we came here for a school convention, needless to say they took advantage of the fact that we are Italian and changed the menu for which we had already paid. They justified themselves by saying that we had paid for "half a pizza with chips" when in reality it was simply pizza and fries and dessert. We only finished the pizza out of hunger, otherwise it would have stayed there! There is nothing Italian about it have a good day

The pizza I had here was actually phenomenal. I don't know where some of the other reviewers were eating, or if they've upped their game, but it was perfectly done and was nice and hot when it got to me. I could've eaten it twice. Service was ✨🌟 Top Notch 🌟✨, really friendly Aussie guy who was so chatty and nice to us (and the other tables too). Attentive staff and nice ambience in there, feels worlds away from the Grafton lol. Will definitely be back!

On Monday the 22/01/24 we had a meal I went for the seafood risotto about 12:30 everything seemed fine by 2:30pm I was violently sick and had diarrhoea,for the next two days I have been so ill,with pains in my stomach,sickness,diarrhoea and a high temperature.i have contacted the restaurant twice and still today I await contact from them. Be warned everyone if you do eat at Bella italia in the grafton don't eat the seafood risotto as they are clearly not using fresh fish or they are not storing it properly.......
