Station Road Stores in Scarborough

They sell so many things such as snacks, lunches, pasties and home supplies. They have wide ranges of ice creams and other cakes and sweet treats. The staff are lovely.

We are regular visitors to the area. I forgot an item, decided to order online, arranged for delivery to this Post Office and store. It arrived the next day. Very helpful store staff and Owners.

Sells a bit of pretty much everything at reasonable prices, plus has seats outside for takeout drinks. Onion Bhajis and Samosas are usually on offer.

Bought something for £1.60 today and asked to pay by card. The woman serving practically told us off: ‘I would actually prefer it to be closer to £5 to pay by card’. We had no cash and eventually she reluctantly agreed to let us. Given the current COVID situation and the government’s recommendation to avoid using cash, we found this very odd in itself. The awful attitude of the woman made it even worse.

I applaud this Post Office and General Store for being available for people who either live in the village or visit. It is in a very good position and has a wide variety of goods. We were very happy to use this store when visiting the Bay.

We used this store (post office) to purchase a two day parking ticket for £16. This proved very useful as we were able to use it in all car parks visited while touring. It stops any concerns about time and costs for any parking.

, We usually call in to use the post office ,buy a paper, a lottery ticket, always find the staff helpful.

A well stocked shop with good service & well presented products the ice creams were just what we needed

Quite a varied stock off perishables etc. Lovely service need to be quick to get the local papers, but seemed adequately stocked for daily requirements

Pretty average seaside town store - with a post office where you can get out cash. Worth the walk up the hill for that alone!

If you have forgotten something if you are self catering in the village or simple want to buy basic provisions or even a bucket and spade, a fishing net when you go crabbing , this is the place.A Post office is there if required .

For anyone staying in Robin Hood's Bay for more than a single day trip this is the place to go to buy car park permits, which are for use across any long stay car park in the Scarborough Council area. Has a typical range of items found in a smaller shop and we also found a great local guidebook of a walking tour of the village which took you through all the alleyways

Visited here for a few items and we suspect we were heavily over charged. We were too polite to mention when at the til and wish we had but will vote instead with our feet. Won’t be using this shop again when visiting RHB.

Called in for a snack after terrible service at nearby hotel. Basic food and drink, but helpful staff and nicely served, good value for money, outside tables, though, so no good in wet

This place has it all, bread, buckets, spades, ice cream etc etc etc and even a post office. Located on the road to the beach, it's so convenient and useful.

A great local shop and post office. Very friendly staff and good range of products. Good prices. Just right for the town and for tourists to the area

This shop appears to sell everything you could need and the staff were brilliant--what to buy--where to park (filming day we called in local hotel-so car parks full with vans) local attractions to see and do--brilliant place so please spend your money here as we need more local places and brilliant staff like this establishment

Excellent little shop open long hours. We stayed in Robin Hoods Bay self catering and used this store several times. Pleasant staff and they sell all the essentials you may need

Excellent snacks and sandwiches, just what we needed after 6 hours on the bikes. You can get everything at this shop and they do cash back and have an outside seating area!

Tiny but packed with all sorts - we even got a big bag of ice, nice cold beer and crisps but other folk came out wi bags full!

Love this shop and Post Office. The staff are lovely, friendly, pleasant, helpful and happy. Very well stocked. Found most things we needed. We were staying next door for a week and the proprietor went out of her way to be helpful.

Visited here for a parking permit (which allows you to park daily in all the local municiple car parks i.e.- Whitby, Scarborough etc. - for a reduced daily cost.It is a busy stores with helpful, friendly staff.

went to get some drinks before going to a friends and was advertised it was open til 6.30 but shut at 5.30!

this is a very friendly store and post office, you can buy food, newspapers, sand toys and there is a post office as well excellent

A very well stocked shop which has everything you need when staying in Robin Hoods Bay.Staff are pleasant and willing to help you find what you need. We used it daily for the staples of newspaper, bread and milk and were also tempted by the cakes!

the station. Road store is a very convenient store to have in a place like Robin Hoods Bay. It covers most things that a visitor could need including cash withdrawals. The staff a very friendly and helpful. Its position saves people having to go to places like Whitby for their odd bits of shopping.

Good selection of wares, friendly staff. Parking available, hot and cold food available, very close to main street.

There isn't a lot to say about this shop, other than it and the staff are fantastic.The owners Brenda and Steve would go out of their way to help you and thank god for our sub postmistresses! The post and banking service make a fine addition to the shop, we're very lucky to have them.Thank you all.

They've got just about everything you could possibly forget to bring with you on a weekend away! A warm welcome awaits locals and tourists alike and the deli counter is stocked with a wide variety of fresh fare.

For a small village this store stocks a wide variety of provisions and newspapers/magazines. Not cheap but for that single shopping trip ok.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Everything you need for a picnic along the path to Whitby. Shop is situated across form bus stop and has timetables and local attraction details.

Friendly little store though very expensive but it was a "convenience" store so to be expected. We liked to fact they sold fresh fruit and veg..lots of other bits and bobs too! Open on a sunday with a hole in the wall..very handy and friendly, helpful staff

As above, total rip off!Jacobs Creek at £7.99 as well, cans of Stella at £1.99 each, shop down the hill much better value, avoid!

This little store stocks most of your basic needs and some extras, a little store in the centre of robinhoods bay ideal..

There are no cash points in Robin Hoods Bay so were directed here by one of the locals, free cash withdrawals from the on site post office counter, friendly staff and also well stocked shop

Shop has two tills but only one card machine. I started to pay with my credit card but was advised they only took debit cards. In the few seconds it took me to change cards, a second shop assistant snatched the machine away from my assistant and gave it to a customer who was only buying a couple of things, whereas I had a huge basketful. When my assistant thought they had finished she went to take the machine back but was snapped at to 'wait your turn'! Can't believe the rudeness and appalling service, felt sorry for girl serving me, she looked really embarrassed. Needless to say, we will not be going back there. There is a nice general shop halfway down the hill which is just as good.

My husband and I walked from Ravenscar to Robin Hoods bay, along the coastal path on a lovely sunny day. We came upon Station road store and post office and thought we would buy a cold drink. Once inside we saw freshly made sandwiches and tea/ coffee on sale, with benches outside to sit at. We decided to have lunch there, which was lovely and the best cuppa[proper mug not paper] by miles. We were made very welcome, and will definitely visit again on our next venture north.
