Kin Shing in Scarborough

Nice staff but the food is truly awful

I have just ordered a set meal for two £24 and almost all of it is un-edible the chicken curry was freezing cold and the chicken was slimey the beef was really hard and chewey and the rice was dry the full meal was terrible. The only thing that was passible was the ribs we want be going ever again wasted my money and ruined our dinner youv got some nerves selling that to people!

Good chow mein noodles very poorly made cashew chicken & orange chicken. We're not picky eaters but we left half of the food in the containers.

Amazing food, the waiters were very nice. You must try the fried banana for dessert :)

Absolutely shocking! Waiting over 2 hours after spending over £150, worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Beef in black bean looked like an oil slick and the “Crispy beef” in OK sauce looked like it had been cooked over a heated argument. One our party sadly perished, whilst waiting an additional hour for their food which was forgotten. Only redeeming factor was the noodles which were okay - but how do you mess up noodles?!

Great food and always good service. I can sometimes be difficult to get through to them by phone due to how busy they are but the food has always been good and delivered quickly. I do have to remember to get cash out though if I decide to order from here as they’re cash only. I’ve was going to only give 4 stars due to them not being wheelchair accessible however they will come to the door to take your order, take money and give you your food.

Absolutely delicious, noodles are so good. I has vegetables in black beans sauce so many fresh veg so good. My daughter had pork balls sweet sauce, she said they were so good. Delivery man was awesome too. Climbed stairs to my flat. I'm definitely going to be ordering from here again and again. Thanks to chef xx

Freezing cold 2 hour wait discusting place

Used this takeaway within our family for at least 30 years, glad to see even though it’s changed hands the food is still fantastic, best sweet and sour around. Egg fried rice and chow mein are also excellent.

Absolutely amazing food, 10 of us ordered and paid £11 each for a variety of dishes, if fed us for 2 days. I wa worried as reviews weren't very good, but they were wrong. It did not disappoint.

Absolutely gutted, after years of coming here… let me tell you this WAS the best Chinese around!!!! It’s recently changed owners and it’s changed so much, the homemade chips are now bland and lack any colour like they did previously. The curry sauce is 10000% different it’s watery and tastes odd. Really sad it’s gone down hill! I feel like they’ve maybe tried to use cheaper products as alternatives but us regulars notice! Such a shame, I’m going to miss my Kin Shing takeaways! Hopefully the new owners will go back to the old ways!

Avoid avoid avoid!! Delivery driver Keith think he owns the place, staff come and go probably due to him! Avoid at all costs! Told me to “Yeah, go kill yourself” then denied it, fortunately for me the customer present at the time approached me after collecting takeaway and confirmed “he did say that, son” DISGUSTING!!!

Oh dear, after many years of being our favourite Chinese Takeaway, things seem to have changed, and drastically changed.You.know its not great when the best part of your meal is the complementary prawn crackers.Chewy beef in a soft batter came instead of deep fried crunchy beef, chips seemed to reheated leftover chips, rice not fully cooked. So unfortunately its a bye bye to Kin Shing 😒

I’ve eaten here for a long time and it’s by far one of my favourite Chinese. Always hot when delivered the delivery driver is really lovely to. Food good lovely no faults at all.

I have used Kin shing for over 8 years , I ordered deep fried crunchy beef twice , chicken chow mien and a portion of chips, I only waited 35 minutes for delivery and by heck in my opinion kin shing is still the best place to go , the food was fantastic and fresh , so tasty and hot and was superb value for money I would and always will recommend kin shing as the best Chinese takeaway in Scarborough by far , and on top of all that the staff are so friendly and patient.

Wife went in wanted to order but he had a terrible attitude when she said no onions for my husband as have a allergy if eaten he refused to serve her even if she just ordered for herself . But his attitude with her was totally out of order and upset her

I can honestly say this is the nicest Chinese I've eaten. Everything cooked perfectly and by far the best Chinese chips! Not your standard takeaway chips. Staff are friendly and polite and the takeaway drivers and friendly too.

Absolutely ridiculous service when you have been trying to get through constantly for an hour to order your tea and the phone just keeps been, yes they are a busy restraunt with great food but they can’t be on the phone constantly for an hour n if they are they need to change their bloody service and get another phone!! Not happy kids are starving!!!

(ONLY OUT ONE STAR BECAUSE THERES NOTHING LOWER TO CHOOSE FROM) This takeaway is an utter disgrace, the takeaway arrived in 10/15 minutes from scabrough which is a 10 minute drive it's self I'm in Cayton bay caravan park.. it arrived the driver was lovley but the food was something else the BBQ ribs didn't look cooked and was full of grease, the chips were all stuck together and scabby and the chicken fried rice tasted like mush it's physically made me feel sick it's not Evan fit for a dog let alone a human worste £20 odd quid Iv ever spent in my life! I rang them to tell them the food wasn't up to any sort of standard and I got cut of BY THE MANAGER endless times saying she's never had complaints befor and I'm a moaning child.. yes a child, I'm going to trading standers because this is ridicules food as well as customer service skills. WOULDNT RECOMEND ANYONE TO ORDER FROM HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY.

The best special chow mein in Yorkshire I get this every weekend with spring rolls and they are yummy x very friendly management and staff and the food is so yummy not to be missed

This was by far the ⭐️BEST⭐️ Chinese takeaway meal we have ever experienced here in Scarborough. The food was delivered within 30 minutes and piping hot. Our order was £28 but would have happily payed more for the quality we received. Well done 👍

I thought one of the worst takeaways I have had. special curry like water and no taste chicken curry the same chips a bag of soggy potato,salt and pepper ribs dry special fried rice also not good all meat poor quality.would not advise unless you want to waste money

THE WORST Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Paid £21.10 for absolute drivel. The curry sauce, chips, rice, everything was awful; even the prawn crackers we're burnt! Seriously, stay well clear.
