Station Promenade in Lancaster

My 1st time going to The Staton Promenade. The food was very nice and Ellie was very friendly and helpful and the other staff as well. Very good choice on the menu and offers. I do recommend this pub.

Me and my son called in yesterday and ordered two sirloin steaks with two pints of lager £36 all together there steaks was absolutely disgusting just full of fat and gristle we did complain and the staff said unfortunately that’s how they come in from The shop seriously don’t bother £36 in the bin I won’t be ordering food in there for a long time 🤢

What a total waste of Time and Space, we went here on Sunday after visiting Morecambe for the Day as a Family, nice looking Place been here a few Years ago so called again. We ordered our Food etc total price £40+ for us all after an hour waiting we asked where it was,was told on it's way when it came mixed order up, what we did get was Warm NOT Hot then had to wait for Portions of Chips and Bread for 10 minutes and a side if pigs in Blankets (so small unbelievable). We did complain at the time but no joy apart from Sorry, if we had to pay at the end it would not have been paid for but they get you to pay upfront. NEVER AGAIN. Places like this need really looking into as customer service is terrible.

It's a nice enough place but don't go with high expectations. It is just pub grub . It is reasonably priced , but you get what you pay for.

Had one of the sharing platters four hotdogs and chips with a pretzel and a pork schnitzel was absolutely lovely but we couldnt finish it between us

Place isn't what it used to be, food took ages to cone out. Asked for a steak rare, it was more well done, and cold. Dirty tables, so hard to find a clean table to sit at.

Very good food and good prices as well

Booked a table for two, service was done with a smile. Staff really helpful, a member of staff came to ask if the food was ok for us. Had to complain about the Gammon being too chewy, happy to swap for a piece well done. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was enjoyed in the end.

We finally went here for a meal tonight, after having it on our "Places to go and try" list for ages, and I wish we'd gone long before now. The bar area is beautiful, very classy, and there are plenty of booths to sit in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, without being pushy, and our food when it came was *very* good: our mixed grills came on griddles, so they were literally sizzling hot, and everything was cooked perfectly. After that it seemed rude to not have a dessert so we each had a big chocolate sundae, which was also very nice. All in all we were very impressed and we'll definitely be back, especially as the burgers that passed our table on their way to other diners looked verrrrry nice. I can definitely recommend here for a meal.

Had a brilliant day well worth a visit

Attended this evening we both had rib eye steaks medium rare with Diane sauce and onion rings as extras. Outstanding food, cooked to perfection the most courteous bar staff and waiters. The food and wine prices are more than reasonable. The staff enhance your visit and a special thanks to Chloe and Martin. 💕

Enjoyed the food despite a longer than normal wait but we were informed of the wait when ordering. Had Gluten Free Options that kept the wife happy too. Busy place but it was August BH weekend.

My go-to pub whether it's to meet friends or family, the food is always amazing whenever I'm there, the service varies from time to time, still very good though and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible for a train enthusiast such as myself

Food not good but did get my money back

I booked but when I arrived I was told the wait would be 90 minutes. Decided not to stay so disappointed. Gave it another go and booked again for the next night and all went well. We were advised 45 minutes but in reality it was less than that. Good service, good food. Credit where it's due.

Visited as a family of 4 today, food was served in a good time. The menu is quite big with lots to choose from, the food arrived and it was really tasteful. The man n cheese was probably one of the best I’ve had in fairness, great value for money and I would highly recommend.

Came in on our first day of holiday, served by Cameron, great place, amazing decor and really nice staff over all. 10/10 would recommend

Food was nice and staff were great, however the food was served on an old well stained oven tray with a sheet of greaseproof paper on it. The gents toilets were an assault to the nose though.

Food here was amazing. The steak & ale pie was phenomenal. Burgers are great too. Pet friendly too. Plenty of space inside & out.

I'm never disappointed with the quality of the food. The staff are great too! Great value for money, and The Station is a beautiful building. It's definitely worth a look inside.

Recently visited for my mother’s 70th birthday meal around a week ago. Traditional, friendly atmosphere with some tasty food. Service was top- notch. In particularly a server Chloe who wished my mum a happy birthday and took time out of her day to make her feel welcome on her special day and to have a chat with her which she really appreciated, so thankyou to her for making our visit memorable. Can’t wait to go back!

Very expensive. Nearly £10 for 2 pints considering the same pints just down the road were just over £5 the menu looks good but didn't try the food

As we are regulars to the station pub I can honestly say we always experience good service and quality food from a varied menu. Even at busy times staff have time to ensure your visit is pleasant. Special deals on the menu make dining out affordable while quaulity is not compromised. (Table 29) thanks Alan

Great looking place, but staff aren’t that great, look like they don’t even wanna work here and take forever to get you a drink even when it’s empty. Food is average at best

The station is an atmospheric pub built into a renovated old train station, opposite the Midland hotel and therefore very convenient for guests staying there. The food is standard pub fare and fairly average if I’m being honest, but the atmosphere is great, the staff were friendly and accommodating (even when we arrived basically on the dot of them stopping doing food), and the local regulars are friendly and chatty too. Prices are decent, and it’s well placed near the actual train station if you’re on the way somewhere.

A great atmosphere sat outside, great service on a Saturday afternoon with good bar prices. Staff looked after us and brought our drinks out.

Staff were lovely, food was okay. Atmosphere good. Not overly busy but good still took 40 min to arrive (Wednesday evening after 7pm) so maybe short staffed. Nice sea view.

We were just at Morecambe for the day with our dog Nell,and wanted somewhere for some food and a drink.The food and drink were all good and at a reasonable price very friendly staff even brought Nell some treats and water.And a very interesting interior with been in the old station.

Standard chain pub, decent service with a good clean decor

This large and lively pub used to be the train station. When they decided to redevelop the area and shift to a smaller station in the 90s, this fine old building was cut off from the tracks. The redevelopment as a pub and small events centre has actually been quite sympathetically done. Pub is part of the Greene King Vintage Inns chain - food is ok but what you’d expect really for a chain like this - big portions, mainly fried and very heavy fare. Definitely think chain pub not gastropub. Pub has a single gaming machine which has Rise of Anubis. No wins. The beer was Peroni. Decent. Out the back there appears to be an entire Wacky Warehouse, preserved as if in as aspic in early 2020. In there, time is frozen; as the poster in the door warning it has closed due to social distancing restrictions bears testament. Pub is very convenient for the Midland, which is itself looking somewhat tired and sad these days. Also a large market to the rear.

Absolutely gorgeous pub with really lovely staff and the most delicious carvery!! Really really tasty. Thank you so much to you all!!! After being told by a few places that their kitchens had stopped serving food (around 3.30pm!) we found this place. And very glad we did! They did us a favour since this place is absolutely gorgeous, reasonably priced and lovely food! We had the lasagne, chilli chicken strips, tandoori burger and chicken & beef burger. Such a lovely meal ❤️ thank you!

This place is absolutely amazing and the staff are unbelievably kind. We got served by a lady called Emily and she was amazing, went above and beyond for me and my family (especially my 4 year old daughter). Always enjoy coming here!!!

Massive place with a lot of booth areas as well as open tables. Still arranged as the old railway station, the place has so much to see as you move around. The bar staff are very good, and super efficient. Top notch food, and very generous servings. Good range of drinks on offer.

Wandered into the Station while walking around Morecambe, Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat, staff were friendly and the place has a nice ambience about it. However the toilets are really shoddy. Spider webs in the ladies toilets and dried in paper balls on the ceiling.

Food was absolutely excellent we are from yorkshire and have a flaming grill near us and this food was far bar better quality and tasted better only thing I can is try it and you will see. Well done guys we have really enjoyed it. The staff from bar staff to waiting staff are truly professional and really friendly who knew we could travel all this way to meet a member of staff from our neck of the woods originally from pontefract keep doing what your doing guys.

I booked for 15 people at lunchtime during the week for the community group i run for people with varying disabilities & was very pleased to see tables reserved as promised .Food for was great value and service was nice and friendly plus we didn't have to wait too long .Personally was good to see vegan items on the menu,just need some oat,soya & almond milk available to go with hot drinks.Would recommend to any social/community group needing reasonably priced good quality food witha good choice of menu.We will be back again soon.Morecambe & Lancaster Fibromyalgia Support.

What a fabulous place to eat and drink, with such reasonable prices. Sirloin steak £10.49 came out with a sizzling hot plate and was so tasty, cooked to perfection. Staff were so friendly and helpful that we will come back again - just so good to have a fab meal at such reasonable prices in a beautiful building.

First time there.relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff.had to wait 30 minutes for food but we'll worth the wait.The roast beef on the bone Sunday dinner was delicious. Compliments to the chef.

Called in on our walk home from town along the prom. Plenty of room, pleasant atmosphere, quick service, nice "Green King" food. Well used establishment, what's not to like.

Absolute shambles we booked online paid for parking went in and we're told it would be an hour wait. Apparently they had an issue in the kitchen. They could have messaged to tell us they had our details. We went elsewhere and won't be back.

Treated the family to a evening meal while staying at a local caravan park. Drinks were nice, cocktail offer of 2 for 1 needs to be more clearer ordered vodka redpoll cocktail once paid an brought to table was told it wasn't on the 2 for 1 offer... if I'd of known before I'd of picked a different cocktail. Food was lush... We ordered the steak & ale pie which came with chips, veg and Gravy. Meat was very tender and just fell apart. Ordered the chick n mix - the nuggets were just like mcdonald's ones and the boneless wings were a little crunchy but still tasted good. Also ordered the mix grill with a side of max and cheese and it didn't disappoint! The meat was cooked to what I asked for medium/rare and the mac an cheese was to die for! Only complaint I had that there wasn't enough hahaha. Added bonus is you can use your blue light card so got 3 drinks 3 meals and a side for 3 of us for under £40. Will definitely be returning soon!

So today was the worst food we have had in here for years . Recently thought the food was pretty good in here so it was a new favourite place for food. After todays ordeal, I'm not sure I think that will happen. Ordered our food ,waited a long time, and the food came only just warm . Staff asked if we would like it reheated or fresh cooking. Really!!!!! Our food arrived back it had just been cooked again. Steak was like rubber. I couldn't cut it, really. Anyway, after a conversation with the area manager after phoning guest services. Who I might add was on site . Never again station pub . Thank you for responding to our complaint so quickly. Once bitten twice shy as they say .

Bit dear, but a lovely backdrop. The classic Morecambe train station. What is not to like?

We came for lunch with the family. Daughters and grandchildren so mixed aged. I had the chicken and rib combo with chips onion rings and coleslaw. The meat fell of the bone, it was lovely. More than I could eat it was a generous portion. Husband finished his. The burgers went down a treat with other family members. Definitely good pub grub.

Staff worked their socks off but still welcoming, cheery & friendly. Food good, plenty of choice and better choice of beers than most pubs too. Very good!

Food came out very hot. Service is great from here. My second time visiting the atmosphere is good. Both times we've had a good vibe. Even when football is on, it's still a nice place to be. Some pubs can be over taken with football fans ( I am a football fan myself, but I still like an enjoyable meal out).

Called in Wed 7th Apr for our late lunch after visiting a nearby caravan dealers. My hubby enjoyed his steak and pie, which he said was very tasty. I chose from the Gluten Free menu, being impressed with all choices available. Gammon and jacket potato was filling, hot and very well presented. Many thanks to everyone there for being helpful, checking back about our meals and looking after clearing tables when diners had left. Well impressed with all these great changes, looking forward to returning another time... Jane and Dennis xx
