Great service, and the food was even better.

Might be different on the nighttime but daytime is woeful. Chicken is hard and burnt, not even edible, £5.20 for a dinner special and your throwing it in the bin. Second chance I've given this place, never again. Avoid.

I come to station and I was serviced by jade her customer service was amazing and she was really helpful and suggested what to have.

Jade, Chris and Andreas consistently cook delicious Gluten Free fish and chips. So, I couldn’t wait to get to my garden bench and completely, to the last chip, wolf down this super nosh! As a Coeliac, my body needs a 100% safe diet. They cook the fish perfectly in a tasty, crispy batter. The chips are great. These generously sized portions are served in sound all-paper and card packaging. Visiting this attractive and spotlessly clean shop is a very pleasant experience with the customers clearly happy and the staff giving you friendly attention. No surprise then that I have instantly become a very regular customer. Accidentally, in a senior moment, pushing the wrong buttons, I deleted my previous Google review of Station Fish Bar in Shirley. Their product is so good that I’ve written this second review because they richly deserve this. Easy to write because I have just simply described my experience. Just give them a phone call 30 minutes before so they can especially prepare for gluten-free cooking.

have come here twice now and both times have found hair in my food. completely disgusting

Ordered today for collection. Had gluten free fish and chips. They were really good. GF is available everyday, you just need to give them some warning to prepare it. We were stuck in traffic and the person called us to ask if we were on route so he could put salt and vinegar on for us ready. I found him very helpful and friendly. Just good service. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Thank you yet again, for the amazing reception when we walked through the door to be greeted by the friendly staff and owner. You are all amazing and with me suffering with Coeliac disease for 13 years with you having the gluten free option this is so refreshing for those who love fish and chips with their family and usually cannot have this great meal with them. It really is a game changer for me now and we will be visiting a lot more in the future the fish and chips are amazing. Really recommend to all those suffering with Coeliac to try Station Fish Bar. Best gluten free fish and chips i have had so far! Ordered off Uber Eats and food come hot and fresh. Customer service from the man i spoke with was great! He rang me to confirm if i wanted my chips gluten free aswell, as i had forgot to mention it in the notes. Great food

First time using this chip shop as not long moved to the area. I ordered large fish, chips and curry sauce and it cost me over £12. I did think this was quite expensive compared to other places but thought maybe the portions are big. I was mistaken the fish size was ok but there was hardly any chips. There are not chips hidden under that fish too. I actually took a pic of the portion to send to a friend to say can you believe this cost me over £12. I wasn’t going to write a bad review I just thought I would never go here again but then I got another surprise. Half way through eating the fish I bite into something extremely hard and spit it out onto the plate to see this stone. This chip shop is a joke.

Food was amazing, service was quick and efficient. Food arrived hot and correct as ordered on the Uber app. Would most definitely recommend and will be ordering again. 👍🏼

Popped in late at Lunchtime, not much left but this Chicken and Chips were lovely!

Fantastic for Good Friday. Ordered 10 meals for pickup and it was all practically ready when I got there. Good value as well, salad was fresh on the kebabs and food was well portioned and hot.

I’ve left 1 star because of the delivery service, not the chip shop! Ordered £65 worth of food tonight with Uber eats. Was sent a picture of our food on someone else’s driveway. Not sure why you would leave hot food on the floor anyway?! We called to say the food had never left the shop and we would get a refund. If the food hadn’t left the shop, why did they send a picture of the delivery? We ended up going to another chip shop, such a shame. UPDATE TO THE OWNERS REPLY: As stated above this review was for the delivery service not the chip shop. I don’t think it was an unfair review as it was left to make the owners of the shop aware of what happened, as I’m sure this has happened to others, with the result of the shop, unfairly, maybe losing business. The review was also left on Uber eats.

This fish and chip shop is the best, the plaice is so tasty & fresh & lovely fine crispy batter, thick white fish cooked to perfection & chips always tasty & fresh, well I spend a lot of money here & am always ordering I cannot recommend it enough

Second time I’ve been was today and I must it was the ‘BEST’ fish & chips I’ve had in a very long time. Literally perfect 🤩 see you next week

Worse food I’ve ever had Chips must have been fried yesterday at lunchtime and missing items and the meats been reheated avoid !!!

First time trying this place, I ordered fish and chips for £5.50 as part of their lunch time menu. Unfortunately while the food was nice, the portion sizes were absolutely tiny. Literally got 12 chips! They need to stop being so stingy with their portion sizes.

Ordered food here for the first time today, was delivered quickly, still very hot. Ordered a mixed meat kebab in naan, wings and chips, and curry sauce, all of it was great value for money and absolutely delicious, will definitely buy from here again.

I ordered a large kebab for my partner amongst other things, the kebab was tiny.. he commented on the weight before even opening the box. I specifically asked for all the salad, which I was told comes in with the price.. unfortunately this was missed out. My portion of chips was also on the small side, more like a cone than a portion. I get that inflation has hit us all but what I have just paid is very steep for the quantity of food.

Best! Been going here for over 20 years! Prices are fair for quality I’ve always had. Owners are always lovely and welcoming - these comments are very surprising as it’s a fantastic establishment.

The cod is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I spent some time talking to Christos who told me he takes great care sourcing his potatoes and fish and never serves frozen fish, only ever line caught fresh cod. Been going as a kid and honestly if you are after fresh tasty fish and chips I can't think of anywhere better

Ordered large fish and two pieces of roe the fish was supposedly large and cost £8:40! The fish delivered was clearly a mini fish as it was the same size as the mini fish and chips my wife ordered. I understand prices have gone up but really £8:40 for a mini fish

Spent £25. Order included large fish and chips, the batter was too thick and fish much smaller than what I’ve had before. Also had a fish with no batter and asked for some salad. The owner charged me £2.50 for a small tray of basic salad, thought they’d throw that in for free. When I left I asked twice whether a cone of chips was in my bag. Staff member assured me it was. Guess what no cone of chips in bag…. Very poor, time to find another chip shop
