Station Express Cafe in Peterborough

Inaccurate description does not do hot food

Be aware that this is not an actual café- a tiny shop selling cans of pop, sweets etc. Walked here from hotel after spotting a photo of their breakfast on Google search and quickly became aware they do not serve any sort of cooked food and likely never have done so. The shop keeper wandered in from the next-door taxi rank and seemed bemused when we asked what their menu was! Name of business does not reflect what is actually sold here.

The absolute worst coffee. Espresso was extracted in about 5 seconds then switched off. It was flying out of the machine showing either the grind was wrong or the tamping. Looking at the filthy grinder it’s clear no pride is taken in making coffee here. Avoid.

It is convenient to have a cafe in the station that stays open late. When I didn't have time to have a drink before leaving the house, I've occasionally grabbed one from the cafe while I waited for the train.

Very handy when getting off the bus at Peterborough rail station to get a few items for your onward journey

Friendly and quick service. And a very nice latte that was very much needed. Thank you I will definitly return.

Was running late to catch my train but was desperate for a cup of tea. It was made super quick and hit the spot, amazing.

Called here for breakfast only to be told that they do not do breakfast, only cold sandwiches, drinks, confectionary etc
