Very late home from work, needed to pick up a takeaway and fancied Indian so tried Indian Chef. It was excellent! Veg samosas were crispy, flaky and really tasty. The Butter Chicken was a generous serving and also really tasty with big chunks of lovely chicken. The naan was cooked perfectly too. I will definitely be ordering again soon!

Always used Indian Chef as the food is really nice, but now if you want the salad that comes with the kebab seperate they now charge you £2.70 to do this, what a rip off, just profiteering.

We've had a few meals from here. The food was piping hot and delicious. But i have to say last Saturday was my last meal. For the last 3 orders indian chef haven't had the orders right. I always have vegetarian samosas but they gave meat! And twice the samosas were frozen! My butter peneer and rice were swimming in water! My husband usually collects the orders but because he's a melt, he doesn't like to complain. Food is expensive as it is without haven't the frustration of a bad takeaway! I wont be using this takeaway again.

Order from this place alot. Sometimes pick up... Never had any bad service. (untill today. Always friendly. Food taste so good and is one of my favourite take aways.. But after today I can no longer order from here.. I pay delivery fee... As I'm disabled person I live in top floor and was told if I order I have to come down as they no longer deliver upstairs. I've never had issue with any delivery drivers before. They always bring up the stairs. Such a shame I will no longer be able to order. Hopefully can find new takeaway that can help bring up stairs for disable people.

Ordered on Just eat and it didn’t arrive. When I called to ask where the food was they said they definitely delivered it when they didn’t. Or they delivered it somewhere else and refused to take responsibility. When I told them it didn’t arrive their attitude was disgusting and rude, they clearly did not care and they did not try to fix the issue at all. Just told us it wasn’t their issue and we’re adamant the food was delivered. I would avoid this place like the plague. Horrendous service and clearly not bothered about their reputation. How embarrassing…

This is the clay oven munch box, it was really nice, donner meat was mosist as well as the chicken itself, chips were on point too, cheesy chips is NOT an option on just eat but it is a payable option over the phone which I did. The naan as you can tell from the picture was huge I actually thought we had 2 of them😂 Friendly service too, no issues no complaints and lovely food, highly recommend it

They have distributed old menu 2 days ago through letters box, today, after ordering when I went for pick up, they say it’s old price you need to pay more. Ordered veg biryani and prawn fried rice, taste was ok not bad…

Fantastic takeaway, very good food. The chicken bad aim is my favourite, and the onion bhajis are the best we’ve ever had. Very fresh, well cooked and really tasty.

My parents made an order at half 8, even have notifications to say the order was accepted and being prepared, 9:45, they ring them up, they are told it will be there in 15 mins, 10pm comes, no food, called them up again, they are saying they never made an order, you have stolen my parents money and by the looks of it, it isnt the first time, you guys should be ashamed

Lamb vindaloo, 4 bits of meat very chewy and fatty,pila rice was hard and dry naan bread tastes old and burnt asked for pickles didn't get very poor will never use again,best Indian is taj mahal on Lincoln Road much better

Our go to Indian takeaway on a weekend. Seriously underrated by the looks of the reviews. £20 for an insane amount of food in the set meal for 2. Genuinely tasty, can’t fault it. Seems to get busy on weekends so delivery can take a while.

Lovely dish ordered from here this evening! I opted for the mushroom curry and pilau which was beautifully done! My new favourite. A lush thick sauce with plenty of mushrooms and fluffy, light rice to complement.

we had the 14inch pizza box delivered to our house last night, but to say we were very disappointed with the whole thing , it was cold and too many chips , kebab meat was cold and not very tasty , pakoras were very spicy , we only got 3 chicken goujon for two people, onion rings very cold and we were very disappointed with it especially costing 15.99 , we love your curries and we wont be behaving the pizza box again , we have always loved you curries and this was a big let down on your service to us.

Use this takeaway every week ,wanted a delivery on the 6th Feb 2021 had to wait 2 1/2 hours for food and when it got here it was cold, rang the takeaway up and they couldn't give a s** t, won't be using again , worst customer service, don't waste your money , thought I was helping local businesses, how wrong can you be

This place needs a serious makeover, the dirt is everywhere, the ceiling is sickly yellowish, everything is sratched and sticky with old oil, floor was so sticky my balerinnas stayed on the floor as I was pacing, the cooks wore a very dirty aprons and using them as a hand towels, not to mention both of them were wearing the masks incorrectly- one had in on his chin, one below nose. Zero hygiene or safety standards. For someone who is sensitive to those things i would advise to avoid this place like a plague... I paid for the food but honestly I didn't have it I me to even try it. Sorry if someone will think it's throwing a shade on the Internet but I have no desire to make a scenes. I hope management will look at this review and take it to their hearts to make some changes. The only shout out to the girl who works there she was super nice and I honestly don't know how she puts up with this.

Used this restaurant for years! Today they think delivery 1hr 45 is a acceptable but after 2hrs I call amd apparently the driver left 20 mins ago and will be there in 15 to 20 mins! £40 order! From 5 miles away 2 hours to deliver! You lost a long standing regular customer! Your customer service was a joke!

Husband and I always order here.. They have a (set meal for 2) deal thats a ridiculous amount of food for £20.. It feeds us for 2 nights easily!! We enjoy every time.. We will continue to order.. Keep it up guys!

Great Indian takeaway, yummy food and good staff. I recommend the chicken Khurchan dish, with It’s mouthwatering flavours, taste good hot or cold. I’ve tried to find this dish up and down the country when I’m away as it’s my favourite and I still can’t find anywhere that do it. Their rice is bang on, the Naan Breads are huge, the best coming straight out of the clay oven.

Went yesterday 16th of august 2020 my husband and I were greeted nicely as we went in with our masks on we waited about 20 minutes for food it was excellent worth the wait i had a lamb balti it was amazing would recommend these guys open kitchen as well good value for money

Tonight was my second experience; once again the cartons were leaking and one main dish (prawns) was emptied out all over the carrier bag; complained the first time and was offered no refund for that dish. What a joke! Chicken dish with hardly any pieces of chicken. Vegetable curry with hardly any noticeable vegetables other than peas and a few cubes of potatoes in a sloppy sauce. Naan bread was cold and doughy couldn't taste any garlic. Shocking. Never ever again. Disgusting. Waited an hour and a half on a Monday evening ordered at 6.30 pm for the privilege - NOT!

I pre ordered my food for 6.30, it arrived at 5.00. Hour and half to early. I called to complain, and 5 minutes later the driver came and collected it!!!! They can't refund me as I ordered through just eat. Absolute joke.

Ordered chips, Balti chicken and rice. Now i eat a lot of Indian cuisine so know what I'm talking about. Firstly the chips were rock hard, they had clearly been re-heated from an earlier time ( mabe the night before ! ) the Balti chicken was awful, the chicken was hard and tasteless ie. previously cooked & frozen, then reheated in the dish. The rice was bad to, tasteless and various lumps throughout. Would not recommend . 1 star because the delivery time was satisfactory.

Ordered today the chips were preheated the chicken was horrendous and the whole meal was dry. Phoned to complain only to be told its because they are really busy. Never using again. Disgusting is an understatement

We have been using Indian chef for a few years now. The food has always been good but the delivery service is beyond appalling. When you call to preorder food at 4:30pm to have it delivered at 7:15pm and you are still chasing it up at 8:15pm it’s a bloody joke. I’m afraid we won’t be using them again after this. Such a shame but they need to seriously work on their takeaway service or just don’t have one!

We ordered food as soon as they opened on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered chicken jalfrezi which was spot on with a nice kick to it. The garlic naan was massive and the rice portions were better than other takeaways. The price was reasonable also. Delivery time was around 70 minutes but was clearly communicated from the start so no complaints on that.

So I receive a hand delivered menu through my door. I get all excited and work my way through quite an appealing menu . I check the delivery cost and think .... Ok fine . Get to end and input it all only for it to say it doesn't deliver to my area . Cannot tell you a thing about the food as I am not getting it delivered am I. What a waste of their money on delivery and printing 😠 on and my time as I now need to find something else. Menu in bin as no idea what else to do with it.....

I have used the Indian Chef now for many years. Their phone app is brilliant. You can place your order on it and even give a time when you want it delivered. Their phone service is also very good. Finally the food is always delivered on time , is hot and most importantly tastes fantastic!! I would thoroughly recommend this place to any one.

We have ordered from this Indian before and been very impressed. We ordered tonight and it was terrible. The chicken kebab arrived without naan or pitta, the chicken was burnt to a crisp, the rice was bright orange rather than the tri-colour we had received before, the mushroom curry was watery and tasteless, all the meat curries had minimal meat in them. The only saving grace was the Bombay potatoes, but even that was a small portion. The food was lukewarm. When we called to complain the manager was as much use as a chocolate teapot. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your money.

I think the food is very good and delicious I don't no why its rated 3.3 on this but it's got a stifitcut on 5 star rating and I agree it should be 5 star rating or more

It's an utter shame to call themselves as indian chef and deliver such a food, it was utterly tasteless. Guess the chef doesn't know the meaning of flavours in Indian food. Folks please don't waste your money. I suggest you guys eat better Indian food elsewhere, hopefully you will be satisfied coz I'm utterly disappointed now almost all the food is wasted.

Our first ever order as we had been concerned about delivery time to The Deepings. However the food arrived in good time and very hot. The quantity was very generous and quality was delicious. We will definitely be ordering again soon.

Every time I order (and I probably order too much for my waistline), the food is gorgeous. Though I tend to stick to my favourite lamb dishes, samosas and sheek kebabs. It's reasonably priced, always well on time (in fact, I'm often caught not quite ready but that's hardly a problem). I just wish there was a restaurant area where you could eat in as the food's miles better than at any Indian restaurant I've been to in P'boro. (I like to eat out.)

Probably the best curry or Indian dish I have ever had. Definitely coming back for more :) Also, you can request if you like mild, medium or spicy version as I was advised by a guy behind the desk.

Ordered a takeaway last night, after ordering a chicken pasanda and chicken tikka, we played a new game called ‘Hunt the Chicken’. The Keema Naan was ridiculously hot it blew my head off. Very disappointed don’t know if we will use you again.

Ordered veg biryani but delivered lamb biryani after 2 hours and then said next time when u order we will give u free veg biryani . Called next time and was told can’t help as he does not know anything about this. So basically waste of my money as I’m a vegetarian. Thanks Indian chef good job

We waited nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive, 1 hour longer than originally quoted. The food eventually arrived and WHAT a disappointment. The Bombay potatoes were like mush. They were clearly reheated and tasted awful. Both my partner and I had lamb which was full of grisle and inedible. The pilau rice was a funny colour and tasted funny.Take my advise give this place a miss.

Have order from them before meal was lacking in quality mixed platter was dry salad very poor chicken tikka Marsala very weak chicken small pieces tough my wife had biriarni spot the king prawns sorry but will not order again a shame that this has happened had a very good meal before

The last 2 meals were lovely however having recommending to 2 people they used it last night meals were horrendous to the point of them spitting it out, they rang up to complain, and have been told to ring today to speak to the manager???? so having wasting money and no meal!!!!! why was the manager not there???? wont be using them again!!!!

Rang up for a curry after waiting an hour and a half I was hoping it was worth the wait, how wrong can you be, the rice I ordered was Special Fried Rice, what I got was a dry rice with rubbery chicken and a few mushrooms and luke warm and as for the curry spend half the price and go to Tesco, at least that tastes of a curry, what I got was a few pieces of curry in a very bland watery sauce, as I'm sure you've guessed I certainly won't be ordering from this pretty awful takeaway again, very disappointed

I'm giving 5 stars for the food, the popadoms were crisp and fresh, the Danzak was just the right level of heat and delicious. The rice nice and fluffy. The lamb Samosa crisp and full of meat filling. The meals here have always been ok, ..but this meal seemed to be a level up. I even wonder if they have new staff in the kitchen. Unfortunately they forgot the popadoms in the order, but sent it out after reporting it. I will be using again. Tip order early they seem very busy.

Do not order from here! Literally couldn't believe my ears on Friday. I placed my order on Just Eat and when it came I realised it was the wrong order. I rang up and they said after lots of umming and arrring yes sorry it had gone to the wrong street and they were trying to contact the driver. I had opened everything up obviously to check that it definitely was incorrect. I was then then told to 'put the lids all back on and it should be okay as long as I hadn't eaten any.' This is disgusting absolutely outrageous customer service! Whoever's food it was was in a mess as I couldn't get the foil lids back on, not to mention it had been in my house over half an hour and was stone cold. It was revolting to suggest they were going to give it to the correct people. I sincerely hope their order was cooked from scratch again!!! I have the people's address if they read this and are in any doubt this was their order. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Waited over 2 hours for a curry...load of crap, didn't even offer to make amends! Save youreself bother and just cook a curry yourself, you could make the thing from scratch and finish of a desert in the time it takes these guys to deliver take away food.

ordered around 4.00pm online on just eat and it said it had allready been delivered when of course it had not, its now 6.05pm allready rang them up and they said the driver has just left come on guys iam fn hungry

First time we have ordered from Indian chef, was not disappointed, food was very tasty, in fact one of the best takeaways we have had in a long time. Will definitely use again. Took a bit longer to come than they said but to be honest it was worth the wait.
