Service going bit not accepted. Food delicious but waiting time from 1h to 2h around collection always, not for delivery, still not happy with that. If they not fixed they will be lose customers.

Delivery was a shambles. Over an hour with estimated delivery time pushed back several times. Restaurant refused to offer any compensation. They won’t get any more orders from me. Unacceptable

probably worse Chinese in Peterborough,dishes turned up in plastic containers,the special fried rice had no taste at all and the beef chow mein was a let down and noodles were slimy and chow mein was tasteless..takeaways should not be allowed to serve food in plastic,it ruins the taste of the food..I won't be ordering from here again..

First time ordering from here as most Chinese are closed on a Tuesday. Bit late in delivering but once i tasted the food it was worth the wait. This will be my Chinese take away from now on. Absolutely delicious!!!

Very quick delivery thank you. The food quality this time was not up to the usual standard. The rice was dark brown and stodgy and the chow mein was very dry and tasteless. I usually really enjoy your food but this time it wasn't very nice.

this Chinese is the best in Peterborough, I ordered crispy aromatic duck it was juicy and soft the cucumber was very fresh and the chow mein had a ver big portion but I live very far so I had to collect thank u

Made an order , after 1.15 h I have call them and ask where is my order and the lady from the phone spoke in a rude tone that my order was not coocked yet and that i will have to wait another hour. Children were impatient to get there order and they were really disappointed they will not have their meal in time. It was preferable when filing the order to inform us about the real estimated time, but it was saying instead that waiting time will be 1 hour only. I will not trust to buy again from this place.

Amazing Chinese takeaway, lovely owners, most down to earth customer service I’ve ever seen. They have delicious foods, the quality is by far amazing. Fantastic, 5/5 for Chinese Chef!

Worst 28 pound I've spent tbh, asked for no veg, more veg than anything else, chips rock solid like scraps, and the ribs were very flabby and could have done with cooking more, dissapointed as was recommended by a family member, but I won't come again.

The food is pretty good but not sure how sanitary it is that they keep a motorbike in the tiny shop when it's closed

Lovely service. I called 3 minutes before their closing time to see whether I can make an order and they stayed open longer just for my order. No other place in Peterborough would do that. The food is great as well. Me and my husband are ordering almost every week from there.

We ordered a takeaway on an evening night. It was delivered within the time slot and arrived not. Food was fresh and delicious. Best Chinese takeaway we’ve had in Peterborough so far! I’d recommend the black bean tofu especially.

Ordered a takeaway midweek. It was delicious. Staff were helpful on the phone and the food arrived on time and hot. The taste was amazing. Really delicious. Best Chinese we’ve had in Peterborough.

Six times out of ten gets the order wrong. On one occasion, I had to drive 30 minutes to pick up because apparently there weren't enough drivers at that time. I got home only to notice that, my previous order from a few days ago had been packaged for me. The communication barrier is also frustrating.

If I could leave no stars I would, but just to warn people, my girlfriend has currently been admitted to hospital due to severe food poisoning from undercooked chicken that was delivered to us from this restaurant, the rest of the food was very low quality too. Do not order from this restaurant whatever you do, there are plenty of decent Chinese takeaways that deserve your money.

First time using this takeaway, I wont be using them again. Food arrived late, was cold and an item missing. When phoned to complain they only offered to sent the item out again....bit late as would have eaten the food by then. No refund offered.

I am not happy that I am giving this takeaway a bad review but I am just incredibly disappointed. Had been my favourite chinese takeaway. in Peterborough. The service had always been excellent until today. There was even one occasion when my delivery was 2hrs late - I received an apology and my next order was free. Today, I made an order at 5pm. I called the takeaway having not received my order at 7pm, (2hrs late so far) - I was given an apology and was told it was on its way. I called at 8pm (3hrs late so far) and was told the order had not even been cooked yet!!! Another apology was given and I was told I would get a free bottle of diet pepsi as an apology. I received my order on the dot at 9pm (4 HOURS LATE) BUT NO DIET PEPSI - the delivery driver was very apologetic (I have nothing negative to say about the driver - he was professional, friendly and sincere). As I write this, I have trying to contact the takeaway to inform them of this - the phone has kept ringing but there is no answer. 28 unanswered calls later, I have given up Let down....disappointed......don't think I will be using this takeaway again.

I am vegetarian and there was nothing specific I wanted listed on the menu (takeaway). I asked if they would substitute a meat menu for 1, for vegetarian choices. This was done without question and with suggestions for veggie alternatives. The service was very friendly, delivered within half hour and the food extremely good. I will be ordering from them next time I want a chinese.

After our local Chinese went down 'under new management' we decided to start trying other Peterborough Chinese Takeaways. We've been to the Chinese Chef in Woodston a few times now and I just wanted to say that they do what they do really well. Catch them on a bad night and its good catch them on a good night and it is pukka. I really like their cooking style. They also do other asian cuisne, thai etc. The crispy Japanese dumplings are really tasty.

Just ordered after a long break what a lovely menu the food was fresh crispy prawns and won tons excellent we tried coconut rice it was great. Sweet sauce was fresh made not bottled. Great experience we will only be ordering from Chinese chef in the future.

I have been ordering from here for 25 years.. and only 1 change of owners. They've kept up their great menu, with a few lovely Thai dishes added. Always a friendly greeting whether a collection or delivery. It's the only place I will order from for a great chinese meal ,and service. Thoroughly recommend chinese chef!

Food would have been really nice if i had got all my order at the same time. My sweet and sour sauce had a hole in the side of it and my curry sauce had taken another 30 mins to arrive after he brought our food. No apology or anything

The actual takeaway premises is not that clean. Clutter everywhere. Go visit you'll see for yourself. There was also a small child playing in the tiny waiting area, I can only assume belonged to the owner. But when your hungry and no where else is open in the area, needs must. Food was just about edible, omelette was very very dry. First and last visit.

Shocking! Be aware! I don’t think I have ever experienced such food! Chef specials - Pork! - dry, weirdly looking, absolutely awful so chewy we weren’t able to actually eat it! Another Chef Special! Duck- my favourite thing in the world! Didn’t actually realise it could be so bad! I mean how? I think to make it this dry you would have to cook it at least 5 times! Rice is rice. But must have been cooked and kept in the box some time ago. I could survive that. Chinese leaf- it was a little over cooked, unusual for Chinese cuisine, where vegetables are always perfectly al dente! Crispy king prawns with chilli - all right, nothing special deep fried battered prawns, drowned in a cheap sweet chilli sauce. Will definitely never order from this “restaurant/takeaway” ever again! The worst spent £30 in my life, wished I had Mcdies. Literally. PS If you have no respect for people, quite, there are so many more professions that will make you reacher by conning people.
