Home cooked food? Cheapest sausage thy could find, Tinned toms as a pile of mush, 1 slice of almost black toast. Very small mug of tea. When brought to the table, was almost thrown at me, a grunt and away she went! At Mc D's when bringing your food , they at least say, 'enjoy'! One comment was 'cheap and cheerful' Sorry, could find NOTHING that was 'cheerful about it' Will not be returning.

100% Recommend.!!! Great value . Traditional food at an affordable price . Outstanding hidden gem ! 5 stars ***** Great food at an an affordable price. A hidden gem and a must pop in and give it a try …. You won’t be disappointed. All the food was fresh, hot and homemade. It was an old fashioned delight, a traditional place, taking you back in time. Adding to that, the cleanliness was high, all of the staff were fabulous and .friendly. From the initial phone call, to the arrival it was perfect, as the ladies were all kind and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent, with all the team being efficient. No wonder repeat customers were returning. A busy little place, but all the tables were cleared and cleaned straight away, keeping the restaurant tidy and allowing customers in the queue to have seat, as soon as.one became available. Sunday roast fantastic!!! Booking advisable at busy periods, offering a huge free, easy car park for any vehicle size. Overall Amazing and we will be back for sure. Thank you ladies for making it special.

Stopped here today on the way to Mablethorpe from Heckington, wife and I had a wonderful breakfast. Nothing fancy just a great breakfast with fried bread of all things, no fancy coffee just a good cup of coffee and a mug of tea. Staff very friendly, obliging and competent. Would recommend to anybody passing through.

Haphazard service by young, inexperienced staff. Had to take away as no dogs permitted inside but no signage present. Bacon in sandwich needed rearranging as piled in the middle on horrid margarine. Coffee had to be thrown away as very unpleasant, had to go elsewhere to get a decent cup. Not a nice place at all.

I stopped here for brunch on my way out to Yorkshire, and it was sooooo good I had to stop on the way back, and the lovely lady behind the counter remembered me. The service is first class and speedy,it's lovely and clean, you can add or minus any items on the menu from your order, and the food is fantastic. All round excellent and will definitely stop again if I'm out that way.

Absolutely superb breakfast here, and if you are also a railway enthusiast, there's loads of old photos on the walls inside. Message to owner I was talking to about old photos of the station back in the day. There's some on the Disused Stations website. I can't put the link on here, because of Trip Advisor rules, but if you look for it on Google, it should appear.

Often stop here when in the area and usually chose the roast dinner option which comes in two sizes its always excellent, tasty and reasonably priced. Today however i decided on a breakfast which was fine until the sausages which were the most horrible ones i have had! could they really not have decent butchers ones as even if they charged a bit more the breakfast would still be good value and would be transformed from mediocre to not bad at all.will stick to dinner in future.

We visit here occasionally for a treat in the form of a good old fry up. There is a large car park here so could accommodate plenty of cars, coaches and lorries. The cafe is clean and we’ve always found the staff friendly. We both ordered the station special which was priced at £5.90 which consisted of 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon, hash brown, fried bread, beans, tomatoes and a drink. We also added mushrooms which were an additional 90p. They do a few different options and also serve hot dinners/burgers/sandwiches but we’ve not tried anything other than breakfasts.

I used to go to this cafe regularly. Both breakfast and lunch were excellent-it was thriving. Today was my first visit for a few years....what a change. Empty, plastic sausages and no atmosphere. Absolutely gutted. I will not be returning

Stopped off after a morning working out that way. On entering it felt like “the slaughtered lamb” I checked with my co worker to see if I had two heads. The staff member that served us was friendly. Food menu was disappointing with no black pudding on the breakfast menu and no proper Lincolnshire sausages just cheap plastic ones. So much more potential there if explored. Was put off by one staff members skin condition (that’s not me being horrible either as I heard someone else comment on it) maybe ask them to wear long sleeves.

Drove past many times and decided to stop for a good ole fry up. Service was good with friendly staff but being in Lincolnshire with its famous sausages, was absolutely amazed at the sausages presented, don’t think I’ve seen any sausage so anaemic in my life, they were so bad I took them Home for my dogs.

My friends and I went here for breakfast the service, food and establishment is totally disgusting. We ordered 3 breakfasts that came out the food quality well I wouldn’t even feed this so called food to my dogs. The grumpy old sold can’t cook to save he’s life and is very very rude and can’t take criticism. For example how hard is it to cook bean’s seriously. They were cold on all 3 meals and argued and said they are not cold been in the microwave for 3 mins yeah ok lol. Food was sent back then he heated the beans which were how they should have been only then the rest of the food was then cold. When I mentioned this to the arrogant owner he said shut up their or u can leave in a controlling aggressive manner I carried on to say the rest of the food is stone cold now out out you are barred. Customer Service at its finest NOT. 3 meals should have been recooked no apology. Place is filthy and I will be getting in contact with the council about he’s food rating and how filthy the place is especially when I saw a croquette on my way out. KEEP WELL AWAY

Best coffee shop in town! Very friendly personnel, busy most of the time, but girls make sure that everything is done as quick as possible. Very chilled atmosphere. Amazing baristas already remember my fav order. You can get sandwiches and baked sweets with your coffee, always space to sit down. My compliments to the team! <3

We were so disappointed with our latest visit to Ivy’s. Having been many times previously we were astonished by the change in staff attitude and silly rules. We took our two granddaughters to this restaurant for breakfast, one aged 7 and the other 3 years to buy breakfast. We entered the establishment and were not greeted at all well with a surly staff member (Debbie) barely able to be civil. We ordered two adult breakfast, one child’s breakfast and paid £2.40 extra for one slice of bacon and a sausage for the youngest child. For that money we assumed it would come with a plate but apparently not. It is not “company policy” to provide a plate in such circumstances despite the cost of this small amount of food. We let it go with our a plan to use a saucer from our coffees. Unfortunately, after one coffee was produced the machine broke down (but we did have at least a saucer). Again we accepted this as these things happen. However, when the adult breakfasts came, the baked beans (or mostly the sauce) was slapped all over the plate covering all the food. Previously the beans had been served in a ramekin dish which was good. When queried with the waiter, we were told “it was company policy” not to put beans into a ramekin any longer. Because there was more sauce than beans, one of the meals was returned and the beans (or rather sauce) was removed. This was apparently the only option because despite asking for them in a ramekin dish it was refused. However the child breakfast came with the beans in a ramekin! We were told that the coffee machine would be mended soon so we waited. Eventually being told that all they could offer was tea or soft drink. What about going to the shop next door, buying a jar of coffee, boiling a kettle and making at least an instant coffee. That was not forthcoming however but again we put up with it and one of us had nothing. Having been very patient about all the above, we had had enough. I asked to speak to the manager and was met at the table by Jane, catering manager. Well what can I say except that she is a real piece of work. She was rude, obstructive and talked over me in a very humiliating and aggressive way in the middle of the restaurant. Despite trying to make her hear my comments, she was not prepared to listen not even letting me finish a sentence. I asked why the beans had been flooded on the plate and she said “that the kitchen staff kept throwing away the ramekin dishes into the food waste and refused to retrieve them not wanting to put their hands in the mess”. I suggested she train her staff better and she said “she had tried” and that it was company policy not to supply beans in ramekins any longer because the staff were not able to deal with this. She said it had been that way for two years which I did not agree with as we were frequent visitors and this was the first time we had this problem. I just gave up trying to get her to see a customer’s point of view and we left. This is such a shame because the food is good but the staff are appalling. With staff like this facing the restaurant it cannot be good. All it takes is to be pleasant to customers. Needless to say we will not be returning and will take our custom elsewhere.
