Starbucks Leith Walk in Edinburgh, City of

I visited this Starbucks on September 6, 2024, around 14:00, and my experience was far from pleasant. From the moment I placed my order, I was met with indifference from the staff, who seemed completely disengaged and inattentive. The seating area was a mess, with every single table cluttered with cups and trash from previous customers. There wasn’t a single clean spot to sit. Meanwhile, three employees behind the counter were sitting and chatting, showing no interest in cleaning

After frequenting this Starbucks location for a significant period, I felt compelled to share my observations post my tenth visit. While the brand's convenience and offerings initially attracted me, a consistent aspect of the service has become too glaring to ignore. The staff at this location predominantly exhibit a lack of warmth and friendliness, which is disappointing for a brand that prides itself on creating an inviting atmosphere. Interactions often feel perfunctory, and the sense of being welcomed is noticeably absent. This demeanor of indifference detracts from the Starbucks experience, making each visit less enjoyable than it could be. Recognizing that everyone has off days and that the cafe environment is fast-paced, the consistently unwelcoming vibe suggests a deeper issue, perhaps one that could be addressed with additional training or guidance from the headquarters. Improving staff hospitality could significantly enhance the customer experience, aligning it with the high standards Starbucks is known for.

Extremely slow service, though this was mostly due to no queue control. Three times the server allowed people to jump the queue and order at the till. The server had multiple times made eye contact with those in the queue, so no excuse why they allowed so many queue jumpers. Finally got to be served, and was told they didn’t do an Iced Salted Maple & Caramel Latte, despite a 4ft lcd advertisement directly behind them saying they had that beverage. If it’s sold out, then take the advert off the screen. 30 minutes from making a modified order it is still being advertised as available?!

Mi hija vive en esta área y esta es la primera vez que entro en este Starbucks y creo que será la última, no por una razón extrema, solo porque hay una buena selección de cafeterías en Leith Walk donde será bienvenido y en realidad tratado como un ser humano que respira jajaja. Entrar en este Starbucks es como entrar en una sala común de estudiantes de antaño, ¡muchos asientos ocupados por las generaciones más jóvenes con computadoras portátiles / tabletas cargando mientras se trabaja y se toma una taza! Si esto es lo que Starbucks quiere y si esta es la base de clientes que desean, entonces buena suerte para ellos, ¡pero no para mí! El café era café con leche pero bastante amargo!

Vine aquí con una cita, ambos fuimos por un frappuccino de chocolate. El servicio era bueno, los camareros eran educados, el ambiente era agradable y tranquilo. Pudimos conversar y reír sin ser molestados y los Fraps fueron increíbles

I visited this cafe with a friend few weeks ago, we had no issue to find a great seats. The coffee was lovely and service very polite. One of the cleanest and nicest smelling toilets I ever seen in Starbucks :)

Tables all full of dirty plates and mugs and customers have to move them themselves while the staff stand around talking to each other. Place wasn’t busy either and not the first time it has been like this

Great big space, lots of power points and friendly service. Coffee and cake was great and so was the atmosphere.
