Starbucks - Golden Square in Warrington

Dreadful - ordered a hot Macchiato and it came iced and no coffee taste at all - for £5.70!! Could not taste coffee...

I visited this branch of Starbucks yesterday. I was visiting Liverpool today, so before I boarded the train, I decided to grab a drink from Starbucks to sup as I went on my merry way. I found the experience to be pretty good. The member of staff serving (John) was friendly and efficient. There was also next to no queue and the waiting time for my tea was minimal. Starbucks also serves nice cakes and cookies. Although I didn't have one, I can vouch for these because having ordered such in other outlets, I can confirm they are delicious! The only issue with this place is that the seating is fairly limited, but this is due to low surface area they have to work with and indeed COVID restrictions. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit. Would recommend!

Arived 9 in the morning, you would assume the place had recently opened. The place was untidy and un collected cups and plates left on the tables. I was there for 30 minutes having a drink. and not one member of staff came from behind the counter to clear the plates away. One staff member came to the tables and sat and had her breakfast while there were plates left and tables not cleared. Staff in starbucks always seen to have a bit of an attitiude when serving you!!! Poor attention to the customer and their environment around them!

There’s always ENDLESS faffing at the till in this place so even when there are only two people queuing everything takes an age. The name system they adopted quickly falls apart if there is more than one person with the same name. What’s wrong with a number system I’m not sure. My husband’s drink came and mine didn’t so I stood in a tiny cramped spot next to the toilets with half a dozen other people and then had to fight to get to the milk through the crowd of those still waiting. As a result of the jostling ended up burning my hand on some coffee that spilled out of my cup. When you’re paying almost a fiver for two drinks the experience should just be better than this. At least provide somewhere for people to stand if you’re going to make them wait four days for something as simple as a cup of coffee.

I stopped in for a brew and tried the decaf tea. It was very tasty and quenched my thirst nicely. The staff were chatty and polite and the seating area was basic but clean. I have tried decaf tea in other places and this cuppa was as good as you would get anywhere.

Service was slow charmless & poor. Error with billing of items. There are several better options within 100 meters radius.

We have recently drifted back to Starbucks as we liked the look of their Christmas menu. Staff always friendly and the youngsters in there work their butt off and fully earn their keep. Good location in the Golden Square and you can usually get a seat due to a seating area spilling outside. Drinks and food are up to the usual Starbucks standard. I will return as I like to frequent different coffee shops as I don't like to stick with one chain only for too long.

Came in today with my daughter , ridiculous system means that cold drink food and hot drinks come out with a 5 minute gap in between so my daughter had finished eating by the time I sat down . Is that the best you can do Starbucks. Apparently due to lack of working space ??? Very poor

I can not fault the three well mannered people behind the counter today. Even when (I will assume a manager) came from round the back, interrupted the service to customers to make himself a coffee whilst he and two ignorant girls (evidently also worked there) ridiculed the work the fore mentioned three people where doing whilst they stood around laughing to each other doing absolutely nothing to benefit customer service or even staff leadership. Enough for my partner and myself to offer our sympathies to the staff for such unprofessional “management” The coffee on the plus side was delicious.

I genuinely don't know what possessed me to go to a Starmucks outlet. The triumph of hope over experience ? A temporary mental aberration ? Cursed by the coffee fairies ? Whatever it was , the coffee was absolutely dreadful- weak, tasteless - reminiscent of the slops British Rail served as coffee circa 1977. My companion described her cake (which we had to remind the server about, despite it being quiet so not much to remember ! ) as "meh"

I always meet a good friend here it's perfect for us staff are friendly and I am fussy about my coffee and I never feel like a pain. I am disabled and so they provide a table service for us and staff are never lacking a smile and a please and thank you

Leo and the gang are just the best. Nothing is too much trouble. Knowledgeable staff who are always happy to assist even the most difficult of customers! I visit weekly

The cups are so heavy , I prefer takeaway cups , good having free WiFi , the drinks are expensive but nice .

Needed a hot Cappuccino before shopping. Whilst waiting for my drinks I discussed with Barista the new Oat, Almond and Coconut milks they are making drinks with. He very kindly made me a small Oat Macchiato to sample. It had a creamier taste but was a little weak. Personally I could not have managed a larger drink, it would not be my choice of drink in the future. Despite having air con the room was quite cool and needs to be a bit warmer! Nice friendly service though!

I go into town every week day to sit and write my reports and sit and watch the world go by. Not sure where some of these reviews come from but I never see dirty tables. The staff don t stand around taking. It's a very well run starbucks and have been in a queue for more than 2 / 3 mins. I have been to other coffee shops where people on their diner break have had to leave without getting their drink. I can't fault any of the staff. They are always smiling and happy to help. Special thank you to Isabel for helping me when i was having a diabetic hypo, and made sure I was fine before I left. Thanks

Standard starbucks, there's never enough staff on so service can be slow but that isn't their fault. The green tea frap is weird, nice but unusual because obviously you don't normally have milk with green tea.... maybe needs a slight rejig of the seating area, it's very tight

Great customer service from the guy with curly hair. This just shows how Starbucks differs from thousands of other coffee shops and demonstrates why it's one of the worlds leading in its industry. Peace.

Popped in for a coffee and a cinnamon whirl, I was shocked when I was asked 'what name is the latte' ? ' it's a large latte I replied. No what name is the latte I'll bring it out to you. So I chuckled to my self and promptly named him 'basil'

Terrible baguette called a "croquet monsieur". Stodgy heavy bread with lashings of mustard. It was yuk.

I visited the Golden Square branch with my mum for morning coffee and nibbles. Our coffee was just left on a little ledge at the end of the counter. Tables were uncleared and very worn out everywhere was in need of a good clean and in need of a thorough overhaul. There were a number of lone customers with just a bottle of water and iPads or laptops occupying tables and using free wifi so seating for real customers was very limited. We were offered coffee tasting but this never materialised.

This chain of Starbucks has been open since 2007/8 when the mall extension opened but this was my first visit here as I usually visit smaller independent coffee shops and I also used to avoid Starbucks given their recent tax debacle. However, the wife and I received Starbucks vouchers for Christmas so off we went one Saturday in early February.

Great drinks and love the toasties. Service good and very friendly. Love chilling out in here before shopping.

Really love this branch of Starbucks!!! Clean and tidy plus the staff are lovely too. It's well positioned after a shopping trip around the mall

I attended this shop this morning on arrival the place was busy one staff member called matt was taking orders and serving food this put a delay on things

Great Staff always helpful they could do with someone on the floor as when they are bizzy the coffee shop is left a mess should be more staff on not just the 2 that are serving....

decided to pop into Starbucks for a coffee found the staff very slow in servering customers was almost late for my meeting don't know if I would go to this Starbucks again
