I don't like Starbucks I. General but the staff in this branch are lovely, the place is clean. They have a toilet! Just make sure to ask for them to open it :).

The nicest Starbucks in Brighton & Hove. I visit this Starbucks store regularly and I even go out of my way to go to this branch over the others since it has the most polite and hard working employees, even on a Monday morning you can expect to be greeted by a welcoming and approachable employee. The displays are always presented well and the shop floor is always clean and tables kept clear. I’ve never had a drink made incorrectly or poorly, my mobile order is always ready on the counter for me when I order ahead. I’m often even greeted by name which always puts a smile on my face, it’s nice to be nice and this store and its employees never fail to provide immaculate customer service. I know it’s just coffee but how we start the day can often determine the rest of our day, and getting my coffee from this store always sets me of to a good day, thank you

I had an accident and I was looking for help but they were closing at that moment, they still helped me. I don't know the girl's name on the counter. Thank you for helping me that day. ❤️

The coffee is OK. The place has lots of people who take up spaces with their computers and one tiny coffee all day.

I ordered a sandwich and coffee. And they packaged it for me. But I’ll eat at the store. So I asked for a plate. I called with my dad at the time. The staff said she thought it was take away. And the staff told me not to call when ordering. But I didn't call when I ordered, and she didn't even ask me. The red-haired staff was a bit rude. Is it difficult to provide plates and cutlery?

Love the little garden here it's a real suntrap. The staff are always friendly and coffees nice.

Tryly disappointing experience. The staff seemed indifferent and unprofessional, especially when handling mistakes.During my visit, my order was incorrect, and when I politely brought it to the attention of the staff, I was met with disdain. Not only did they fail to apologize, but they also threw away my drink without attempting to rectify the mistake. The girl behind the counter even gave me a dirty look, making me feel unwelcome and disrespected. As a loyal customer of Starbucks, I expect better service and professionalism. Unfortunately, this particular branch fell short of meeting those expectations. I hope management takes note of these issues and works towards improving the customer experience at this location. I would like to mention that normally when I visit is Emma taking the orders, she is amazing.

Staff really friendly! The café super clean.I don't know the name of the girl with red hair but she was really nice and helped me with the buggy! The only negative thing is that they only have 1 highchair.

Your average Starbucks except for an old man who is always there with a mutt that keeps barking all the time. Get your coffee and leave. He’s probably still there with the dog if you happen to visit.

Great atmosphere good staff and quality of coffee. I was advised to download the app to collect points.

Not a fan of Starbucks per we but popped in a few times now and always found the service really friendly and worth coming back to. Better than the Starbucks on jubilee road. Attentiveness and being friendly makes a big difference.

I went to this one with my sister and daughter. We had a large Cappuccino each, and my sister had a almond croissant... she said it was lovely. My daughter had a iced cinnamon bun, i tried some was nice. It was quite busy not many seats available.

This is my go to coffee shop, my boyfriend and I will just sit and drink our beverages and watch the world go by.

Nice layout, but service was a bit slow, possibly due to staff training. Drinks were at best average. Seating was full, many of the tables with just one at them. They need to pay more attention to the facilities ensuring that they are stocked!

This morning I thought I would go and treat myself to a Starbucks coffee. I was met by “Emma”. She explained to me the machine was not working and could only do regular coffee. So I said I’ll have a regular coffee. She then told me she was having a problem With the machine again. and asked me to repeat my order. . So I said a regular coffee with a side of skim milk. And she said what drink do you want so I repeated it. A manager intervened. He told me that they could only do regular espresso. I said I was happy with that and she returned to her original question. What drink do you want so I told her I would have a medium coffee With regular espresso. And she said I don’t understand what drink you want. After seven minutes of trying to order a coffee I left. How difficult has it become just to order a coffee in Starbucks ? I appreciate this is not a nationwide problem, but it is recurring theme in Saint James Street. Could someone please retrain the staff so they begin to respect customers rather than continually challenge them. The purpose of me entering the store today was to buy a coffee. My time would’ve been better, spent going to another store

Went in for a coffee, upon recieving it I proceeded to knock the entire thing over, spilling everywhere. However, Lauren and Lillian (really hope I got that right) cleaned it up and refused to let me help and did the whole thing with huge smiles. 11/10 customer service

Person who served us was so helpful! Called Em, she had so much energy and time for us, I really appreciate her being so caring and having the same joy and kindness for the customers after us💓 made my morning, give her a raise!

Incredibly friendly and efficient staff, other than that this is just another coffee shop. Zero food choice for celiacs but the coffee was good 👍

A rude woman at the till with an attitude. What I can't understand are gay people making fun of other gay people. They made fun of my appearance and laughed at my disability. As a disabled gay man their behaviour are a disgrace. Plus the seating arrangements are clogging up by people gulping at their lap tops even though they have finished off their drinks ages ago.

Great service here and a good atmosphere. We as a family were served quite promptly and we were able to find seats even though it was a little busy. The drinks themselves were as you would expect from Starbucks but we're not lacking in detail even though it was busy. Thanks to the staff that were working for making us feel welcome. Next time we are in Brighton we know where to come for our coffee fix.

Great layout if store and service ans food good as usual, however the toilet was blocked and couldn't be used, hence 3 stars

I must admit that I'm not a huge coffee drinker and I'm also not a huge Starbucks fan - multinational globalisation blah blah blah etc. But once in a while I like to be sitting quietly with a book and a drink looking at walls and windows that aren't mine, even if it's just for a random hour. Service is speedy, friendly and efficient.

I have been using this Starbucks for years I love being served by em, kat and Kris they make my day everyday so friend and helpful em always knows what a Lisa round is !!! The only downside to this Starbucks is they gay rainbow magnet that was on the coffee machine since day dot has gone why this is Brighton with a very large gay community!!!!!!!! Whose ever idea it was to take it down should be sacked !!!!!

Oliver is absolutely lovely and so friendly, really made my day as I wasn’t feeling great before I came in.

Great Starbucks. Very relaxed atmosphere and great service.

The Starbucks lacks atmosphere. Not enough staff to clear tables and wipe down so you end up moving empty cups onto another table and just accepting you will be using an unclean table. Service at counter fast and friendly but you can see the pressure they are under with the customer foot fall.

Great place to relax and drink coffee or tea.

Despite our lateness in arriving here to a very busy restaurant !! Staff were very accomodating we moved inside from out no problems once a table was free!! Our waitress Kataizyna apologized for any delay in our food arriving , we didn't mind as when it did it was excellent !!! Others didn't seem to be quite so happy about the service. but then on a Bank Holiday weekend with the fantastic weather, we were having, staff that were working flat out taking both drinks & food orders, we felt that some allowances should be made. Anyway its so nice to be able to take ones time over a meal ,& not be rushed between courses, something that occurs all to frequently in the UK. We would recommend this restaurant for many reasons, good food, great atmosphere, & excellent staff.

A big thank you to Salvatore today for his excellent service. We've eaten here many many times and have to say one of the reasons is the staff; they are always helpful and efficient but today this guy was above and beyond and turned a Saturday lunch into a dining experience of particular note, thank you sir.

It was first thing in the morning so not busy but what good service and selection. Firstly the nice girl/lady/they behind the counter (7:30am on 10/10/2022) acknowledged me as soon as I came to the counter as she was finishing an order. I waiting no longer than 10 seconds and she still apologised for the wait. The selection of fresh savouries and snacks was great, didn’t know places sold toasted fruit slices with butter and jam (delicious). Service was friendly, quick and efficient (asked without prompting if I wanted 2 tea bags with the large drink - in other places I always have to request this) with all you needed to complete the drink at the end of the counter. I am aware some don’t want to visit large more corporate drinks companies and prefer to try and go local (which I do too) but you couldn’t fault it. Locals need to try a bit harder to compete! Its not difficult to offer just this.

I ordered a flat white for take-away but changed my mind to dine-in to save money. However, the worker who was serving me was very rude towards my decision sarcastically saying “changing that just for 5p?”. Never want to experience this behaviour again.

Great Starbucks in Kemp Town, Brighton. Friendly staff and helpful too! Accessible toilets were also clean too.

I really like their coffee, but this place is rather grubby and run down. The cafe needs a good clean, the material on the chairs had worn shiny and looked dirty. Toilet was very unpleasant andhad no toilet roll.

the table area on the second floor is dirty, with dead flies. I was very disgusted to sit at those tables

Lovely Starbucks branch with a wide space, good atmosphere and plenty of seating, located in an area full of small businesses and panoramic views of the streets. Pretty relaxing experience and a must visit for coffee. Staff was very informative and provided recommendations.

It's a Starbucks. Not much else to add. It's a clean one :) quick service too but obviously turnover may make it different when you visit. We all know why we're going.

The staff are absolutely tremendous. Thank you very much Emma, Loren, Phevos, Jamie & team. The minute I walk in, they know my drink order. Coping during these strange Covid-19 times has been difficult for everyone but they all handle the safety measures brilliantly.

Sadly they had no fresh fruit juices or smoothies and had tin out of cups. Service was friendly but they were short staffed

Bought a latte, it had no taste of coffee at all, just hot milk. I asked if he wouldn't mind adding an extra shot of coffee. Expected it to be 25/60p...of free as a gesture but no... 2.50 something.......

Lovely place and quiet. Great on weekends to get away from all the tourists and do some laptop work. Cold drinks are good but coffee sadly is really bad (18th September). Flat white too watery and coffee burnt. Will try other day maybe coffee will be better. 👍🏻

A nice, quiet Starbucks not located in the main centre of Brighton. Very nicely designed store with usual Starbucks decor! Friendly staff and a relatively quiet customer area on a Thursday morning made all the better to enjoy my drink in peace. Would definitely recommend!

Coffee machine not working at the moment so no espresso based drinks but filter coffee available and quite nice. Don't like my coffee too weak.

Been in and it’s Lockdown, the sausage muffin was not great mainly due to the muffin, the sausage was nice but they were put on whole. I’m sure they are normally split, staff friendly though. My tea was very weak which was a disappointment. Might try again when lockdown is finished☕️☕️☕️

Very good service,all staff members are nice polite and friendly. Only criticism not quite so hot on cleaning table's between customers. Still need new soap dispensers,must be rusty inside makes soap smell of rust in turn your hands smell of rust sometimes the soap is rust in colour. Lovely store Sadly on this occasion it was ok not great The welcome from the lady with red hair behind the counter was a bit rude I know we’re in Covid mood but she could have spoken to us in a more softer manner We both work in A&E looking after Covid Patients As my friend wanted to buy some coffee we decided to stay but we won’t be back

Terrible! Very rude staff, the table they offered us was filthy. besides the drinks are horrible, I don't recommend it! the only good thing about this Starbucks is the exit door.
