Starbucks - Chatham Quay in Medway

Nipped in there for a Strawberry Frapp. The place wasn't all that busy and was clean and tidy. The young lady who made my drink was polite and lovely to chat to. I think her name was Zoe. Very well presented and my drink was spot on. Its always nice for staff to chat with customers when they are not busy and Zoe did exactly that. Made the customer service she provided very special. Now for the negative. The young man on the till. I found his attitude to be quite intolerable. All he wanted to do was get me through the till as quickly as possible so he could answer the ringing phone. Wasn't polite at all. I got the impression he may have been the manager of the store. I got the impression that he much prefer to go off and complete other tasks, rather that serve customers.

came in lunch time, placed my ordered with carmen who was very welcoming and polite, my drink was made my jazz who was none stop! duck to water. very happy with the service thank you girls

Really disappointed. I ordered breakfast to be delivered. I ordered 2 x fruit toast & latte (hubby had juice e at home. Our fruit toast turned up not toasted- still in packaging which was fine but not even a knife or butter or jam to go with it ! Plain old uncooked toast (not toasted) I assumed this was my error and that I’m Meant to request butter/jam etc but there are no options to leave a note for the store or be able to request butter/jam. Ordered latte tall- half a cup!! Such a shame they don’t take the pride to give a customer the same treatment as they would in the store. Please give take away orders the option to add a note and condiment needs. Just off to eat out dry fruit bread now lol

I did not enjoy this visit. Barista PIA is awful, she doesn’t know how to make a drink. £5.45 for a bad drink! I will not be returning !

The team here are so helpful and friendly, and because we come for our regular Latte, Van & caramel drizzle with cream on top probably every day they don’t even need to ask the name 😀 the place gets very busy but the team work as hard as they can to complete the drinks order as quickly as possible, just bring a smile and step into your fav Starbucks. The managers of this chain should be proud of their team and reward them accordingly especially with praise and thanks the team make this coffee house friendly, safe and welcoming.

We often coffee at Starbucks, we had dined at the Medway Yacht Club and decided we wanted a change of scenery (having dined there several times over the past six weeks), the area was interesting with a lot of development going on so we went for look around and then to Starbucks fora sit down. This cafe was dull and the staff appeared disinterested, the coffee itself was middle of the road but not dissappointing. If we are in the area again we will try somewhere else.

Will not be using Starbucks again after witnessing the bullying of a young employee on Thursday by what i assume is management, poor girl was visibly upset. What a terrible atmosphere, i am boycotting.

30 minutes wait despite 5 staff, shocking. To busy serving delivery drivers before customers! Go somewhere else.

Staff are great. They control the numbers entering and are super hot on Covid rules! Well done! Couldn't have got through this without you!

Shameful service today in Starbucks Chatham Dockside. The fire alarm sounded for 2 x elongated episodes this morning. On approaching staff, there were oblivious to #customerconcern, did not know their own fire drill, made no announcements or communicated to customers to alleviate concern, , treating my enquiry and me as if I was mad.. Seriously guys, #firesafetyprotocols, #firesafety #customersafey What would you have done if the fire alarm sounded for an unduly long period? Would you have approached staff? Given the time of year, the concerns for public safety, this is a shoddy, example of customer care from a large corporation.

The staff were very polite and friendly as usual. However, the table I sat at was dirty but it was very busy. I waited a while for my coffee. It was cold and didn't taste like a frappe.

Well organised , clean and polite staff ...mocha and pumpkin spiced lattes all good ..worth a visit if in Chatham dockside outlet ..just turn right when leaving centre and head for pier 5

It’s a very nice place to relax. Lots of room, very clean. Service seems a bit slow but worth the short wait

Such a fresh range of products, clean, welcoming and space. Plenty of tables and great facilities. Nice views you can sit outside. Summer is coming a great way to soeand some time.

I would start by saying I’m not a fan of Starbucks but this one could force me to change my view.It’s big, clean, atmospheric and warm in the winter and cool in the summer with some outside seating overlooking the marina .It’s coffee is well made , though for me all coffee shops should think again about their ridiculous cups. The pastries and food offer they do is fresh and tasty.So a very good coffee shop but with one unexpected twist. Occasionally you will see quite big name celebrities in there buying their coffee . Why ? Apart from the fact it’s good the Chatham historic dockyard , which is just a short walk away, is quite heavily used as a location for filming TV shows and films.Well worth visit8ng if you’re in the area.

Having ordered a coffee; a teabag in hot water; a panini & cheese toastie we sat within easy reach of the counter & could hear orders being taken above the piped music. When I enquired about our food I was abruptly told that it was on the counter. I mentioned it would be good to be informed when it was ready and not left uncovered and unattended. I was abruptly told that staff had called four times. As I have previously said that I was close enough to the counter to hear orders. The young staff gave the impression of not caring less. I am afraid that it Costa Coffee in future where they know how to make a pot of tea and offer table service for hot food.

Just visited this place and what seriously slow service,the staff were doing what they could but one on till/food cooking and one making coffees,queue is out the door!,sort the staffing out!

It’s hard to say anything different to these type of coffee houses as they all seem to be the same but in a different area.BUT this one is very good great service clean and tidy and no rush in making you a great cup of coffee.Go in and enjoy a relaxing cuppa

Got into the doors, massive que, waited 20 minutes to order. When I got my coffee it was the wrong order, had to que again to change it, not great experience.

Got my usual Soya Vanilla Latte, made to perfection. Can hardly go wrong with Starbucks! Lovely to sit out on the terrace here, not so much so in the winter.

Parking was difficult. Food was basic, service was poor. Food was expensive for an unflattering price.

We went in here the other day , had a really nice latee with gingerbread , lovely and warming for the cold weather . Place nice and clean and the staff were very helpful . Starbucks is always a certain standard .

Plenty of genuine cafes around so why subsidise such establishments when the coffee not half as good as the independents… I just don't get it...

I visit a lot of coffee shops and this one I visit at least once a week. I can honestly say that the staff are professional, the place is clean and in the year I have been frequenting this place the toilets are always spotless. Staff here take a lot of pride in this place. I think the competitors need to up their gain!

Going to Starbucks in Gillingham recommend to anyone the staff are well pleasant and helpful the drinks are very good and lovely view by dockside

The coffee is always good at Starbucks and the staff are polite and friendly. On the downside trying to find a clean table can be difficult at some times of the day.

Decided on a coffee and walk along the waters edge at dockside, lovely evening stroll. We wanted a coffee, went to Starbucks just down from creams . Nice inside, pleasant staff but the coffee was served in a polyethylene paper cup(rubbish ) why ? "They are closing in twenty minutes, ...well it would have been nice to be told. Ok did offer to change but I said not to worry. Coffee tasted ok sweet Carmel but was lukewarm and half full, ,10 pounds three drinks little disappointed was a understatement.

Visit this Starbucks quite frequently as it has a nice view if seated at the side facing the water.

Nice large Starbucks with a back sitting area and also outside. Nice and cool inside and very comfy. The young man today was a very nice polite and helpful young man. Had a lot of patience and good advice thank you. Will come back as found a little gem to come and do office work and have meetings.

I like Starbucks but the black tea has an awful taste, I would have coffee instead but I don't like strong coffee and the hot chocolate although very nice is a bit dear at £2.50 for a "short" cup.

Visited several times this month. Staff recognised me after second visit and remember what I've had the day before;-) Very yeasty coffee.

Had many a coffee in here, for me the drinks could be little hotter, maybe a little cheaper but average priced. Good customer service on the whole. I would have like to see such a large organisation to more for armed forces with a discount like many other large chains.

At last Starbucks at Chatham Dock yard. Lovely and large, picture windows looking out onto marina and shopping centre square. Friendly staff, more appeared as soon as it got busy. Outdoor space to put bikes and seating area. Will be lovely in the summer

Arrived early from Oxfordshire for an appointment nearby, and found it open at 7.40 😃 Fast service, great coffee and a lovely relaxing ambience

Great venue, lots or room wifi could be improved and quite cold but overall would return. Staff friendly enough.

Nice seating areas with couches , usual range of drinks, nice atmosphere and in a nice area amongst other restaurants etc

Nice place to take a break and have coffee. It is a nicely set out shop with quite a bit of seating, good service, comfy seats, good toilets and outdoor seating. It is a bit out of the way so probably doesn't get much passing trade but was busy so word of mouth obviously works.

This is our second visit to this coffee shop and I have to say, it was less than positive.

We have been here a number of times now, a lovely designed building with lovely seating areas, spacious & with WiFi & sockets to charge phones etc. Great choice of coffees cakes etc their cakes are always so fresh, never dry.

Since being in England, this is the best starbucks service I have had, I like this location, it has a cool vibe, this is how starbucks should be

We popped in here after some shopping at the dockside. Staff were friendly. The table and chairs were clean. Will def be returning.

Nice looking place. The staff all seemed nice and the coffees arrived quickly! Exactly what you want from a coffee shop.

I am addicted to Starbucks coffee and the barista did not disappoint. White Mocha was made and just what I needed, amazing.

This was my first experience coming to this new Starbucks location and the interior was vibrant, spacey and fresh.

Would highly recommend a mocha cookie crumble! The coffee is really good, location is perfect and has a nice view. My only criticism is that sometimes it depends who is making the coffee as to how good it is.

This is a very clean, very spacious, very comfortable air conditioned cafe near the marina with nice outside seating and good facilities. Service was good.

Visited today with a friend, had a well-made drink and friendly service as I always get at any Starbucks store. This is a new branch of the chain, and it's in quite an odd location I think - wedged in the corner of the Dockside complex near Creams and slightly out of view, which isn't helpful for Starbucks as there's a Costa in the Odeon on the same complex which has far more advertising and signage, and it's not hidden. This would explain why it was so quiet at lunchtime today! They could have put the Starbucks either inside the main Dockside Outlet or somewhere else in Medway, as Chatham has 3 Starbucks' now; one at Dockside, one at the University of Greenwich and one at Chatham train station. Overall, good service and experience had in this store today!

Lovely friendly staff with nice sofas and location. The drinks are standard across the chain, as is the food so all good, but I still think you pay a little too much for what you get.
