Starbucks is very overrated. The coffees are very expensive and very average. I feel like the coffee they actually put in their drinks are Substantially less than they used to. Starbucks was always a good call for coffee. I don’t think I’ll bother going in there again disappointed.

Popped in to grab some takeaway coffees and teas! Very slow service! There was 6 of us but we were waiting 25 mins for drinks and 1 of them was wrong! The staff are lovely but need to speed up a bit… coffee were very nice eventually. Very clean and tidy.

Just popped in for a Black Filter and a Frappucino with my daughter. My first filter was cold so they gave me something instead, americano supposedly. Communication was awful and they had no masks on, so that wasn't the excuse. I got back to my table and my Black coffee is now boiling hot but tastes like hot water. It doesn't even smell like coffee?? I drink a lot of coffee from Costa, Nero and Starbucks. This is the last time I will come to this store for sure. Shocking service and expensive cup of hot water. Normally I would return the drink, but I shouldn't have to go back twice. Black coffee from a coffee shop shouldn't be that difficult for them surely. I would like to point out that the first cup of filter tasted and smelt nice but was not hot. I have no idea what happened to the second cup?

Went to the Starbucks on Waterton industrial estate and was disgusted by the bad attitude from the staff from the very start. The woman who I spoke to on the ordering speaker was abrupt and the cashier was just as rude on the collection point.

Waited about half an hour in the drive thru to get to the window. Finally got there and tried to place our order only to be told we had missed the little speaker thing where you place your order and were actually at the collection point. Initially the server was going to put our order through since we clearly hadn’t missed the speaker deliberately after waiting almost half an hour in the drive thru. Then her colleague stopped her from doing it and the server told us she couldn’t put our order through and we would have to drive round again, right from the beginning. No other alternatives given. Absolutely terrible. If the service is that rigid, then they should make the speaker point a hell of a lot more obvious because driving round again would have been a joke in that queue. The most unhelpful and ridiculous service ever just to get a drink. Avoid!

Lacking coffee in my Latte. Usually coffee at Starbucks is a bit strong and somewhat bitter but today there was very little if any coffee in my hot milk. I started to drink my coffee if you can call it that and it had a very metallic initial taste and then i thought it was lacking coffee. My husband commented it was the worst coffee he had ever had and i then commented there was no coffee residue in the bottom of my cup as if they had forgotten to add the shot of coffee. We were not impressed. Clean up your act Starbucks!!! I overhead a staff member comment on a smell coming from the coffee machine which made me think this place is appalling.

Possibly the dirtiest coffee shop in the country. The disabled toilet was out of service, the one remaining loo featured a cracked toilet seat that pinches your bum and filthy broken fittings. The light fittings in the shop area were caked in a thick layer of dust, nicely positioned over food and eating areas. The floors were also grimy and added to the overall theme of squalor they seem to be going for. There is a Costa on site and I might suggest that as an alternative.

Popped in for a quick hot chocolate before driving home, what a nightmare. Man behind counter was totally clueless as to what was going on, extremely slow service (30 minute wait to get served on a busy Saturday you would assume they would supply more competent staff). Asked if toasted marshmallow hot chocolate was suitable for vegetarians (due to the gelatine in the marshmallows) only to have them going into a panic about how to make it vegan, it was a simple question that required a simple answer considering; does it contain marshmallows, no the only flavouring comes from the syrup. Picked up two reusable flasks in the queue to have our drinks in, handed them to the man behind the counter and told him we had to pay for them, he instead took off the lids, bearing in mind the instructions were still in each flask, and handed them to the barista. I repeated, we need to pay for those just to be ignored. At this point I’m thinking right if he doesn’t listen one more time I simply won’t pay for these flasks; how incompetent. Finally on the third attempt I said we need to pay for those and he sighed and said oh! The flasks already had syrup in both of them at this point and had to be scanned carefully to avoid spilling them which could’ve been avoided if they had listened the first or second time! Total came to 47.00, he was unsure as to whether this was the correct total and again went into a bit of a panic which is unprofessional. We paid and left. Overall, staff need retraining or better yet have more staff on during busy holiday periods and weekends. Nothing worse than having your day ruined by shabby customer service after a lovely day of retail therapy.

Fancied a coffee break whilst shopping at Mcarthur Glen Bridgend. First came across Costa Coffee, no available tables plus a queue. Starbucks no queues, plenty of room. We had two coffees in Starbucks which were disappointingly weak. Costa’s greater foot fall an popularity tells the story.

Stopped for a coffee last Friday - what a shockingly scruffy place! The upholstery was FILTHY, the tables were dirty and covered in used cups and plates, the shelves sparsely supplied with cakes, the coffee was cold, no gluten free snacks, the manageress cared not a jot! Never will I return here, Starbucks needs to sort this place out at once.

The store is appallingly dirty. Rarely have I seen a bus being done and it has been hard to find a space to sit in a relatively empty store because of all the empty mugs across the tables. As I sit here in McArthur Glen now, there are 8 tables with over two mugs on each. A barista has offered a customer a takeaway cup because there are no grande cups behind bar or in the dishwasher - I wonder where they all could be!? The baristas generally have poor customer service and knowledge of the products on sale (I have been told that they were out of pike place, when I know that they clearly have not made it today; I have also been told that Starbucks have discontinued iced hibiscus tea, which is simply untrue, or the board states otherwise, a barista also pronounced 'grande' as 'grand'). Not once has the barista asked for a customer's name, which is company policy. They have begun closing down the store (cleaning syrups etc.) at 15.45, when the store closes to the public at 8.30, which is surely unacceptable and a breach to health and safety. I know from experience that a close should take no more than an hour and a half. The floor looks like it has not been swept all day, the condiment bar is in disarray, and a barista has been talking to customers sat at a table for ten minutes when the store is in dire need for a bus. The drinks aren't even being handed to the customer at the hand-off point, but over the mugs instead - surely a health and safety issue. Shocking service from clearly incompetent staff. Go to Costa instead.

This will be my last visit, I will go to Costa in future. The place is dirty and tatty. We have just paid almost £11 for two coffees, a slice of dry cake and a stale muffin. My husband asked for one decaf coffee and as I’m sensitive to caffeine he double checked that the barista had made a decaf, she looked blank at him. She hadn’t!

Asked for a filter coffee and...yet again....informed they do not have any due to lack of required beans....why offer it on menu when it is NEVER available...bad customer service for sure. I regularly use Starbucks. I was very disappointed with the service and cleanliness of this store. The staff weren't unfriendly and dressed in festive dress as it was so close to Christmas. I asked for a gingerbread latte and gave my name. I also had a porridge pot which I had to ask for honey with (usually offered). I was the only person queuing so service was quick. I was given a latte and the barista turned around and carried on a conversation with four other members of staff. I got her attention to say I actually ordered a gingerbread latte. She didn't apologise but jokingly told off her colleague. And put a few squirts of gingerbread syrup in the drink she had made. This festive drink usually comes with cream but she just put the lid back on, gave it to me and proceeded with the conversation. At this point I couldn't be bothered to ask for cream. I usually find Starbucks staff very friendly and helpful but this was very poor service. I will be adding reviews for the other Starbucks I use.

Stopped at this drive-through on our way to Bath. The young woman taking our order kept trying to hurry us - NOBODY was queuing behind us. I said "we are trying to read the menu" to which she said "you should have stated that"!!! She continued to be rude and impatient when we reached the window, even tutting at my NHS Blue Light card. Very poor customer service. Re-training needed.

We visited today on (a very busy!) Black Friday weekend. The outlets were packed and queues everywhere. As Wagamama was queuing out the door we diverted into Starbucks. We queued a bit but things kept moving nicely, the young lady on the till was so friendly and clearly very hard working. We ordered toasties, filter coffee and a cookie and mince pie. All looked good. However, a small miscommunication at the collection point led to another customer making off with our toasties and there were no more left (due to how busy they’d been) in order to replace ours. At first, the team didn’t know how to resolve the issue, which was quite frustrating. But hats off to Jess, the manager, who stepped in wanting to understand the issue and then did her absolute best to resolve the situation. I am a big believer that you can only truly judge customer service when things go wrong and Jess’ personal and open approach really delivered. Not only did she want to try and make us happy but most importantly she wanted to learn from the experience and improve. Top marks Jess!

Called in here with my partner to intentionally grab a “quick” coffee OMG you had to join a queue where your order was taken and your money then they grab the cup around the rim god knows if they wash their hands regular they scribble your order on the side of the cup and it’s put on the side along with lots of others they move you along where today there was about 20 people waiting for their drinks many were receiving 1 drink and not the rest of their order it was chaos 23 minutes we waited for 2 takeaway latte I’ve never seen such a stupid code of practise in a coffee shop everyone was moaning about it with food going cold while waiting for drinks this system definitely needs reviewing coffee was decent but after the wait didn’t really want it

What a dreadful place. Dirty half wiped tables, floor filthy, staff who clearly don't want to be there. 6 customers in the store at 10am and one man was waiting on a bacon roll which had been sitting next to a coffee machine. No-one bothered to tell him. When he complained the girl just said "I never put it there".

Went to Starbucks, Mcarthur Glen for a coffee with my wife. Very busy, huge queue and about 20 min wait to be served. Whilst waiting i observed the mess on tables, chair and floors. It was about 15 mins before a waitress came to clean up tables, she collected cups etc and gave the odd table a quick wipe with a cloth... Not thorough at all.

I do go Starbucks very often. They do provide good customer service. But I was really surprised this Starbucks isn't the same. It wasn't to busy but I had to about 30 hour from queue in to get the coffee. The guy who was serving on the till was very cold; no greetings or up selling. I have ordered 2 coffee & 1 tea. Unfortunately it took 20 minutes. Horrible.

At the end of the day (when the seating area and mall itself was quite quiet) there was still a substantial queue for service (which was friendly) but then an even bigger crowd were loitering around waiting for their drink. My partner had his tea well before my coffee, and others with cakes ate these before their drinks even arrived. Shame it is so slow and disorganised - the coffee maker needs a hand!

Sorry to have to write a poor review but after receiving such an awful cup of coffee felt the need to share. Visited on Sunday 13th November and ordered 2 black coffee's. That shouldn't have been too difficult to make. Just add coffee and hot water. Well they managed the hot water but must have forgot the coffee because it was so watery we didn't drink it and took it back. Assistant wasnt too bothered but what I presume was the manager did hand us vouchers for a free coffee next time.

Our wait was nearly half an hour for two drinks; the food came in 10 minutes but the plate had been cleared long before the drinks came. One was sent back as it must have been made long before the other. Badly organised, no communication to the customer and seemingly short of coffee machines. Buck up Starbucks, it's not the only coffee in town.

OK ... the coffee may be as good as any other Starbucks, but there is a pungent smell of sour milk around the prep area!! The tables were sticky and the floor was very dirty. The seat I was sitting in had jam over it which stuck to my coat (had to get it dry cleaned) ..... Such a pity but with a good thorough deep clean, I'm sure it could be as good as other Starbucks around.

The Starbucks standard of service is as strong here as anywhere. A popular store with plenty of tables. The queue is dealt with effectively and you are no time moving through. The baristas are excellent and craft your drink just how you like it. If it less than perfect they will redo it with no issue.

Always have liked Starbucks but I really think the new decor is a bit of a mistake. The one in The Pines always seems to have a problem with fast service and I'm also a bit bored of the food offerings, I think they could ring the changes a bit.

Ordered lasagne, beef burger, ham,egg & chips, soya latte, 3 hot drinks. £55 Plate delivered containing garlic bread and a portion of chips, which we obviously assumed was part of our order, as the lasagne came with garlic bread and the other 2 meals included chips. We expected the rest of our order to appear straight away, but it didnt and, as the food was starting to get cold we queried where the rest of our food was with 2 members of staff. There'd been a mix up, waiter said this wasn't part of our order, but we could keep them and the rest of our meals would be along shortly. The chips and garlic bread were cold by this time anyway. Then another member of staff appeared. Thought he'd come to apologise for the mix-up, but instead he asked me to "accompany him to the cash desk" to pay for the garlic bread and chips that had been delivered to our table by mistake!- as if we were criminals fraudulently taking food that we hadn't paid for! Joke customer service

Clean and tidy facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. The boss is a lovely Guy and very helpful. Views from the balcony seating is amazing but can extremely hot on a rare sunny day. Only problem was the long wait for food order at times, we had to wait an hour for our sandwich on one occasion. All in all it’s a great place to sit, relax and enjoy your day. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely disgusting staff in the cafe not one person said please or thank you…. RUDE Asda need a policy on how to speak to customers… I’m a support worker for learn disability, which is y I was in there the young girl I supported had more manners than the staff… to top it off the coffee was absolutely revolting, young girl had a coke and a ham toastie which she didn’t finish any of it absolutely hanging in there 👎

First time here, the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also dog friendly. Would recommend it if you're in the area.
