Starbucks in Waveney

I’m a regular Starbucks customer. This is my fave Starbucks of the five that I visit regularly throughout the week. Great service from friendly staff. Plenty of comfy seating and tables in large premises, with full length window, that look out onto the main town centre street. Great for people-watching or just watching the world go by. Lots of free charging points and free WiFi.

Staff always amazing without asking.bring my drink to table due to use of crutch.good team.only downside toilets leave lot to b desired and don’t appear cleaned requarly.may b lack of time.but just keep on top.doesn’t actually bother me.but people out there will make issues

Popped in a few weeks ago to grab a hot beverage there was a queue gathering and only one person serving. The other employee was putting a delivery away and totally ignoring the queue as it was getting bigger. The person serving was extremely slow and had a face like a very sour lemon, in other words she did not want to be there! It wasn’t until I complained about the speed of the service that the second person joined. They got my order incorrect but I couldn’t be bothered to ask them to correct it. I had already asked the young lady to clean my table. However this was ignored. I then asked the young man if he could clean my table in which he did and he done it in such a hurry the cloth he wiped the table with sprayed water on the material of the seats. What an earth is the management doing? Surely they can wake up and see what is happening. It’s a disgrace! I then decided I would give it another go on Wednesday of this week as there was no queue yet every table was dirty there again I had a request for my table to be cleaned. I was shocked to be tired that they ran out of teabags. I jokingly said surely this is a joke but I was corrected with no unfortunately we have no teabags. Just a question for management are you wanting this unit to be closed as that’s what it feel like to me? Perhaps Costa should take over? at least we would have a decent customer service clean tables and beverages that we wanted. I look forward to receiving a reply from a manager that’s if they have one .

The last few times I’ve been they never have half of what’s advertised on the menu. Everything I ask for “sorry we don’t stock that anymore” then why is it advertised on your menu?? Absolutely ridiculous

Very quiet when we walked in at 13.30 on a Sunday, although half the seats were blocked off and cleaning taking place. It still took 5 mins for our order to be taken and then we took a seat to wait for drinks, 1 tea and 1 americano. Its Worth noting that all available tables were not clean and neither was the floor. At this point there was a rush of people coming in and a queue quickly formed, the very surly young lady cleaning down the other end very reluctantly came to help having to asked to do so....her face said it all. At 13.50 I asked that our drinks be put t into takeaway cups as we had to leave for eye tests, they were not even aware of our order, despite it being paid for!!! No apology, or explanation offered. Mistakes are made I appreciate but the customer service is shocking and the place very run down and dirty.

Popped in for quick coffee to pass time and rest from my muscle condition.staff fantastically friendly.as usual no hesitation didn’t need to ask the young lady just said take a seat will bring drink over.very courteous and thoughtful

Absolutely lovely friendly service.I didn’t have to ask once again.and young ladies just offered bring stuff over due to using a crutch.considering @ time it appeared only 2 on duty they kept things flowing nicely.these are such a lovely team in here.thank you ladies

Anyone serving a sausage bap and unable to provide either ketchup or salt, should be incredibly embarrassed and find a new profession. For heavens sake, this is very basic stuff.

Good start with helpful staff, but the coffee was very weak, even for our parents in their 90’s. The table wasn’t cleared from the previous customer and was still there when we left. I thought Starbucks specialised in good coffee, it was terrible, very sad as treats out when you’re 95 are few and far between. I was offered a voucher for next time, but there won’t be a next time.

As usual fantastic friendly service.ladies were busy but keeping everything going as hard as they could.cannot fault this team for efficiency and everything

We went into Starbucks at about 4.30 – some of the chairs were up on tables as if it was nearly closing time. We were all deciding which drink and which cake to get … the assistant looked fed up with us. We completed the order and sat at a table. Our order was supplied in takeaway cups and paper bags with no explanation. As we were making the most of this, one of the staff started moving tables and sweeping around us, this made us feel as if we should go. I asked what time they were closing. The answer was 6.00pm !

Absolutely fantastic friendly service the ladies on duty today23/10 keeping up the usual high standards i have always recievied .I never have to ask for my stuff brought over due too a crutch for an illness.just seems natural must b the best Starbucks team around top notch.thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited Lowestoft Starbucks and was extremely disappointed in the poor service. After ordering coffee's and cake we were informed that coffee's would be in disposable cups as there was a problem with washing facilities but want we didn't know cakes would be served in paper bags. Tables were not cleaned all this for over £12 "real bargain". Starbucks management sort your priorities out and your training of staff and cleanliness. Our pleasant thoughts of a coffee and cake gone and £12!

I don't live close to a Starbucks so I try to go when I can .I usually get the same carmel frap with extra shots of coffee but I was wanting something more fruity and refreshing so I got a straberry refresher(which was fabulous and i will be getting again).i believe grace was the young lady serving me and she was an absolute delight she was so sweet and helpful and when a couple with a buggy came to the door she went out of her way to help them open it to get in than later agin on there way out .her employer should be very grateful to have someone with such friendly and amazing hospitality skills .

Had the best Chocolatey Waffle Cone Frappuccino made by Sav in Lowestoft I’ve ever had. The sprinkles were even distributed perfectly.

My wife and I have been reasonably regular customers here since February 2022. We couldn't fault it at first, but we've seen a deterioration over the last few months. Today's visit brought home how bad it has got. The only good thing was the food. Walking in, you notice how scruffy the place looks, with uncleaned tables and chairs covered in crumbs and similar. The cappuccinos we ordered were insipid, more like slightly flavoured hot milk. I had to get extra shots of coffee for my wife's cup. The staff seemed lackadaisical, but the final straw was the state of the gents' toilet - 'disgusting' is putting it mildly! We'll not be visiting there again if there are no improvements.

Young ladies on duty around 1/1.30 Wednesday 26th.exemplary friendly fantastic service.I use a crutch and didn’t even need to ask and was offered to bring my stuff over.and that means a lot to me. Thank you from bottom of my heart

Sadly gone downhill. Coffee cup nowhere near full...then when I asked for the cup with a huge chip in it to be replaced no apology or anything. Rude staff and diety. Don't recommend at all !

No napkins No stirrers No sweeteners Over priced , no atmosphere, think they need to check out Costa for some ideas

We stopped by just for a coffee each. I always just have black coffee. After it cooled down a bit i took a sip. I couldnt taste the coffee. My husband said it didnt look right when he brought it to the table and smelt it but didnt say anything to me until i said i cant taste the coffee. I didnt drink anymore and didnt want it replaced. Before i left i took my coffee back and told the lady. She said there was 2 shots in it. She offered to replace it. I didnt ask for a refund and i wasnt offered one either. So i will go to independent coffee places from now on where u can taste the coffee and less time waiting for it.

Visited for late lunch, very little choice of food in cabinets and service slow. Despite saying we were going to share the panini, it was served with just one plate and no knife to cut it up. Tables were full of used cups, etc, and weren't cleared during our stay. I visited the disabled WC, and there was no toilet paper; the soap dispenser was empty and the floor dirty. Most disappointing.

Came here with my partner and my grandmother, service was the slowest I've ever seen, all dirty, the lady with blond/pink hair behind the counter was really rude, no one offers a smile, and every member of staff seems to be putting a huge effort in working here, this is not a Starbucks standart service AT ALL

Came here for a quick coffee break and not being busy there was no problem finding a seat however every table had empty and dirty cups and crumbs on the floor. Looked like a dump site. Trays and sugar packets all over the table. 1 armchair in particular looked like a antique chair from the 13th century that had not been cleaned in 100 years. The tea served was like raw sewage and was on the verge of unsafe for human consumption. Really unsatisfied me for the today. Will never return and Costa is now my go to coffee shop. Absolutely traumatised by this!

Served by a blonde girl who was extremely rude rushing through the order and complaining about having to take the order CORRECTLY. I DO NOT recommend using this Starbucks as the manager wasn’t much help either.

Absolutely disgusting service from the young lady at the window. Will not be using this place again! I think a major overhaul on training may be required, with customer service being top of the list.

Despite my wife and me being only people in had to wait 15 mins for coffees to be made Wont be coming back

I find it very unhygienic that this store allows any dog inside its shop, not talking about assistance dogs here, but just ANY dog. Thought they where not allowed inside food establishments except for assistance dogs..

Visited twice in two weeks and same issue each time..... tables and area not cleaned in between customers... Twice we have had to ask a member of staff to clean the table and sit and watch as the same thing happens time and time again with other customers..... the staff clear the cups etc away but do not wipe or sanitize. No wonder the virus is spreading!

i dont like a strong coffee so ordered a weak milky one but even that was strong! Im not a Starbucks fan

Nice new building clean floors and empty when we .. visited 11.50 Saturday ‘ Cupa tea was hot but could of been hotter ! Tables clean stitching on seat had crumbs in but only one seat out of 4 so all good Staff friendly and polite Music could be turned down a bit as the place had only 7 people in at the time .. over all great service and price cake was fresh and moist ! Clean plates Great place to visit again Recommend to friends ....

Situated on the main high street with plenty of shops nearby. There is ample seating at the cafe, the cleanliness was very good with comfortable seats and many plugs for public use to charge up phones, computers etc. The cakes were actually dry and appear to have been out for longtime.

A decent Starbucks with pretty good service and the usual food and drink offerings. Nice seating in typical SB style.

Dirty tables and chairs....moaning staff....windows coumd do qith a ckean too. such a shame as went to several Starbucks in Japan and they were amazing.....wont be visiting again in a hurry

It’s not a bad place there are however some problems the food is expensive and more often than not I have to wait as they never have any filter coffee ready and it needs to be brewed the tables could be cleaned more regularly too. However the staff are all friendly and pleasant and the coffee is not bad.

Had coffee here before heading for the panto - convenient as just a short walk to the theatre. Coffee was hot. Surroundings were clean. Normal Starbucks.

I love Starbucks coffee, but a long wait, dirty tables and floor and no cups and saucers for the flat white, realy not enjoying it today. Shame. Is it the staff or a lack of staff that is the root of the problem?

we are not big coffee drinkers in our family however we do like a Starbucks especially in October as we do like the pumpkin spice unfortunately this was so sweet it made the jowls in my cheeks eek backwards this Starbucks has a strange layout along with the seating arrangement lots of people just sitting there a legendary drinking a coffee using the free Wi-Fi coffee was served quickly

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks without squirty cream for my frappuccino.Also no cream for my Americano

We only popped in for a quick coffee, which was really nice. Staff were pleasant and it made a change to go in a chain coffee shop where tables were cleared and cleaned.

I popped in Starbucks on a rare trip to the town centre and was greeted by very friendly and polite staff who made sure I enjoyed my visit.

I have been here maybe 3 or 4 times and every time the place looks as though no one ever bothers to clean tables or sweep floors,each time I have been it has been relatively quiet with 2 or 3 people behind the counter yet the service is slow,never a greeting or smile it seems that they either are paid very little or they get no customer service training or no one gives a stuff, I have decided there really are nicer places to enjoy good coffee in Lowestoft so sorry Starbucks won't be going in again

Popped in with my 2 older children for a hot chocolate, mocha and a soft drink. And a lovely slice of carrot cake! Served quickly though We did go in on a Sunday. The area was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend

Disinterested bar service woman very poor. The service was very slow. The latte was good. Not going there again

Lovely staff, super hot drink in very comfortable chairs. Nibbles on offer too if desired. Luckily we chose a Sunday and not packed....we managed to get a window seat. Definitely going to pay another visit next time we are in the in the area.

Starbucks no longer offer plastic knives so if you buy a cake you must stuff it in whole or try and cut it with a wooden stick. Crisps were soft too. I usually like it here so won’t be too mean with the rating even though they are run by accountants.

Helpful staff gorgeous coffees everything and more thagt you expect from a Starbucks! Hope to come back here often

Service was good however the seats at the first table we went to sit at looked grubby and uninviting. Seats at second table were better. My overall impression was that it was not very clean.

We sat outside, with our dog, who I asked for a bowl of water for but got a blank look, before being told no.

I've not really been to Starbucks before but a friend suggested we went to Starbucks as it was closer to where we were. Friendly staff, although I absolutely hate having my name written on a cup, but the coffee was pretty awful for the price. It was watery and lacked depth of flavour.

I'm a bit of a coffee lover and i find that this Starbucks is perfect when i'm visiting town with my husband and 2 young children, there's enough space for them to sit on comfy seats and enough space to not hear the next persons conversation. Staff are lovely too

Great place. The only decent place in Lowestoft as it's awful!!! My friend was not from here and didn't know it existed and loved it! Service was great and toilets were clean. No queue and plenty of seats.

Popped in here with my friend for a quick catch up and had a lovely hot chocolate, although I would say it was more of a warm chocolate but it tasted good all the same.

Not sure why but can never have a hot coffee always warm have had to have it reheated every time so not bothering anymore

The coffee was nice and the decor is modern and light. They obviously didn't realise they were allowed to remove empty cups, saucers, cake/sandwich wrappers from the empty tables.

I came here yesterday with my hubby and two friends, we had a break from shopping mid morning and ordered 4 big mugs of hot chocolate, cappuccino and tea. We really enjoyed the drinks and it was nice to be able to put your own toppings on the hot chocolate like chocolate powder and lemon powder which was really nice.

Staff very friendly. Very clean, lots of space and plenty of light. Great for popping in while in town.

First and last ever visit !!. My 11 year old daughter was desperate to try their Hot Chocolate... Queued in complete chaos for 10 minutes to find we weren't even in the right queue !!! Absolute bedlam. Customers just left in huge crowds. .. Staff pretty hopeless ... All to be ripped off nearly £3 for a weak lukewarm hot chocolate !! ☕. Never again.

I had some friends staying for the weekend and we walked down the seafront on Sunday to the Armistice Day parade. Friends wanted to pop into town for a coffee and I thought we only had a Costa in town (I dont usually go in to Lowestoft town centre) and was surprised to see a Starbucks has popped up there.

Visited last weekend and order coffee. I asked for a latte and a amerinco noticing no milk I asked for milk on the side to which i was grunted at "over there" not one to argue I went to the counter and no milk. Went back to the lady and told her I needed milk and with that she filled up the jug and gave it me to take over myself. It was rude and have to say I'll go to Costa next time

Having visited Starbucks in Lowestoft it was pleasing that not only the food and drinks excellent the service was 5 star and the staff could not be more helpful. From the preparation of the drinks and the food we ordered the staff offered to help me take it too the table and never stopped smiling. Well done Starbucks and thank you.

While it's nice to have a big-brand alternative to Costa in town, this Starbucks is seriously hindered by its poor customer service. Even the shortest of queues takes too long for the staff to serve; tables are often left uncleared for a long time; product ranges are more limited than at other branches; drinks are often served without the advertised extras (cream, etc). Lowestoft is full of small, independent coffee houses which are well worth seeking out; Starbucks seem happy to trade on their name alone. Avoid.

I've been in three times and each time disappointed - cold coffee, lipstick marks on cups, sticky tables, no chocolate for cappuchino, just doesn't have a good feel to it at all.

First of all the staff need to get there act together they weren't very friendly at all, not even a hello, also the drink was awful! I had ordered the caramel latte and it tasted of plain ice I've had this before elsewhere and it tasted great, very disappointed.

Today I had my second and last visit to Starbucks in Lowestoft - I won't be returning. I went in last week and queued for 10 minutes to be served by the only member of staff behind the counter. I know there were other staff as I saw them swanning around not doing very much.

So it's good to have a Starbucks in Lowestoft the seating area gives a good view of passers by and it's placed in a good location in the town. We had a cappuccino in a good sized mug but the staff are not very organised, I don't think it's their fault when we arrived there was only one person serving who took our money for two cappuccino then went to the next customer he took their money and they waited....eventually we got our coffee...strange system when more customers arrived thankfully more staff arrived but some customers had already walked away, this does not give a good impression....

Been 3 times recently to try the newly opened coffee shop. Twice I left because frankly I am not willing to queue for several minutes for a coffee when there are other nearby outlets available.
