Starbucks in Swindon

I still can't believe the prices they can get away with !!!!!! Nearly 7 pounds for a milkshake?? And I really dislike the flavour of their coffee... I've been asked to meet someone there otherwise I would never have gone.

Service is so slow. Went through the drive thru, there were 2 cars infront of me and it took about 15 minutes for me to actually get my drink. Always have issues with this place.

Very low hygiene standards. No masks, no gloves, coughing on bare hands and then touching everything even the lid of the cup during a pandemic! Starbuck also needs to hire more staff! Poor staff you feel sorry for them. How can three people manage so many orders?

Been twice in two weeks. Messed my drink up both times. I only ordered one drink at a time. How can you get the only thing I order wrong? Mental

I ordered an Amaricano coffee. It was weak, the worse I had in a long time.

Very standard Starbucks, but not too busy in quite a nice and modern building.

Noisy, dirty tables, crowded, poor service and bad atmosphere.

The tables are not cleaned. We had to clean our table ourselves. Service was poor. Alina was a bit rude. Would not recommend coming here.

Always empty, with music that is to loud.

Ordered twice from this Starbucks via the drive through. On both occasions I got given the incorrect drinks.

First visit to the place, it was nice clean Including disabled toilets. Let down by the food it was too hot to eat and the Panini sandwich was covered in flower.

It's a nice and cosy place. Very good atmosphere. We love to go there and have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with muffin.

Expensive, service not good at all, untrained new staff, making mistakes. All the time there's a new member of staff, not good thing thou . Had to wait 39 minutes to have a ciabatta and in the end ,hasn't been served at all

Coffee was very sweet....but OK. No atmosphere in there at all.

Opted not to get food since there were flies in the cake case. Staff were informed of this but just blanked us and chose to do nothing. The seating areas were filthy, with dirty tables and dirty floors. According to my girlfriend, the ladies toilets were filthy and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The condiment table was dirty. The only redeeming feature was that our drinks were hot. We had to ask for cardboard sleeves for our cups. Must do better Starbucks!

Asked for 2 hot drinks got 1 cold , but it was actually nice even if not asked for . They were busy busy but staff still smiling .

Love this place. I like to drop kids off at school and grab a coffee and a catch-up with loved ones. Never had bad experience here.

This is the best Starbucks in Swindon.

They over charged for my coffee, when I questioned the person about the price she said that is just the price. I brought 2 drinks which according to there website should of been £10 but I was charged £15, I’m very disappointed in the service I received.

Have been coming here most mornings for the last few weeks. EVERY time I come here they make an effort to not accept my starbucks card in order for me to get my free syrups. I have been overcharged on numerous occasions because they do something to not accept the card. Even when I raised this to them they made up an excuse as to why it hadn’t worked, no apologies. Given them the benefit of doubt but now i’m certain they do it on purpose.

It's Starbucks, so what they serve hasn't even seen real coffee - absolutely disgusting.

15 minute wait for coffee when it didn't seem busy. Seems the main focus is on the drive through as the counter staff struggled with most orders of drinks.

Customer service has a lot to learn. Like smile and at least say thank you. Or make me feel like a welcome customer. Served by Leanne. I am getting fed up asking for caramel latte and not getting any caramel and still being charged for it. Please listen to the customers order

I cannot tell you how awful this Starbucks is. There has not been one occasion where I have gone here and had a good experience. Whether that be them messing up my drink ( putting whole milk in when I specifically asked for oat due to being allergic) to consistently being out of stock of main products. The staff are miserable, poorly trained and leave the place in a mess even during quiet periods. Avoid at all costs! If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Inaccurate opening times. Sat outside with many other potential customers and no staff are present to open...

Lovely place. Tidy and comfortable. And the drinks, muffins are great. My daughter likes the muffins so much.

Yet again didn't have the ingredients for one of the featured drinks just in. Tables dirty and not wiped down between customers.

Did the drive thru and it has taken a while but the price show is not the price you pay. A latte is advertised at £3.65 A vanilla syrup shot £0.50 so should cost £4.10 but charged £4.70???

The staff at Starbucks are very very poor I have been there with my family and many occasions to find tables have NOT been cleared cleaned I have sat there with staff just talking when tables are dirty and require cleaning plus the floors also need cleaning I find customers have to move dirty plates etc and wipe the tables with napkins 😡😡 maybe they don’t realise there are 2 Costa coffee venues close by I imagine I will be going there☕️

Standard carbon copy of other Starbucks. Nice and clean, it was pretty fast getting my order to me so no complaints. Has a drive through and toilets, own parking spaces separate from Asda.

Terrible service and drinks. I got a large (venti) latte and a large hot chocolate. I was literally given two big cups of hot water. Neither of the drinks had any taste. Do not recommend it to anyone and I will surely not go back!

This is one of the worst Starbucks I have visited. Tables are full of dirty cups and plates, Most tables are piled high with rubbish and crockery. The staff are miserable and everytime I have been in they either don't have what I want in stock or they forget to add all the ingredients to my orders and they don't seem to care either. The community spirit that is rife in most Starbucks just isn't here and I hate to say it because having a Starbucks at the Orbital was great when it was in New Look but this one sadly falls way below par.

My toffee nut latte was the worst drink I've ever had. Tasted of a normal latte so obviously no syrup. No topping on the cream & the cost was ridiculous! Mcdonald's. Is 10 times better!

Service is always slow and most of the time staff are impolite and and slow to acknowledge you, even when they aren't busy. Barista making the drinks today took a long time to make them and even served others before me despite me ordering before them. They found time to check their phone but still messed up the order and had to remake my drink, which was still wrong - gave up in the end and walked out. Mobile ordering still isn't available either despite the store being open for several months now, avoid!

I felt like sitting in a teenagers untidy room. Most of the the tables were not cleaned. It was not a busy day when we went to have some snacks. Staff should be more attentive with the tidiness of the place so it can attract more customers.

Terrible service. They have digital menus but can’t say if things are sold out. Person on the tannoy could not understand me and I could not understand them. I gave up with the terrible service and drove off without ordering. Would not recommend.

None if the tables had been cleaned. Had to clean mine myself. Nobody came to clean them the entire duration i was there. There were no dine in plates or cups so sat with paper bags and cups at the table. Overall not a good experience. Poor management.

Only went as daughter wanted hot chocolate. Prefer other brands

Starbucks is a nice location for meeting friends. Clean modern design and prompt staff. The really nice hornbeam hedge has lost its leaves - will have to wait until next year for new growth. Coffee a little more expensive because of a 5p/cup surcharge for disposable take-away cup.

I love the brand, but recommend checking the online nutritional information before you queue to order. I'm Gluten Free and Dairy Free so asked a few questions - was quicker to look at my phone whilst the folder was being checked. The person on the till was also super quiet so didn't hear the questions asked. Friendly service and super efficient though - will definitely go back. 😋

Honestly this place, we go to barnfield twice a week and their service and staff are superb, but this one is hit and miss. The staff are sometimes a bit miserable, and the drinks are inconsistent, but when we nip over orbital it is close. I went to barnfield yesterday, had their American meat focaccia, they offered us hot sriracha with it, which made the sandwich! Went into orbital today to get some supplies, popped over to starbucks orbital, put two american focaccias on the desk and asked for got sauce ‘hot sauce only comes with egg roll’ the guy said. There’s a whole box of sauce sachets behind him, I said ‘are you sure we had some yesterday at barnfield’ he goes off and asks a miserable looking lady who also says no! I told them to stick their coffee and focaccias, literally spent 1000’s in starbucks over the years and this place couldn’t give us a couple of pence of sauce!!!!! Drove over to barnfield and guess what, the welcoming team said sure you can have that sauce with anything you want! Sort yourself out orbital, only reason for two stars is you are convenient being at orbital, but where possible I won’t be coming back and will stick to the great team at barnfield who know how to make coffee and treat customers!

Our favourite local Starbucks, always nice and quiet with good service.

A smaller Starbucks than I've seen in other places but it does have a drive through and I suppose this is the main selling point of the venue, not the seating indoors. Not many "comfy" seats to choose from. Lots of 'harder' looking chairs but obviously they must be comfortable by some standard or they wouldn't be there! Toilet is a single but clean. Air dry only. No paper towels (that I saw!) Outside there are several picnic tables to sit at in better weather. Good selection of hot and cold snacks/sandwiches on offer. Today my sister in law opted for a sausage sandwich (bun/bap) and a medium black coffee. I had a large. This came to £11 Staff all seemed happy and tentative to the cleaning of the tables once they became empty. Would visit again.

This place is actually disgusting, the staff don’t have a clue what they’re doing, they’re rude and very unwelcoming. I saw a fly land on the food by the counter and someone complained yet the food was left there as the staff didn’t seem to care by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been too.

I've visited here a couple of times now. A nice place to have a coffee or catch up with friends. Been clean when I've visited and serviced quickly.

Wouldn't normally complain but on each occasion lately the place is very unclean, to the point today there isn't 1 clean table. They don't even have cups you have to have a takeaway cup. The staff walking around eating crisps customers clearing their own tables to just be able to sit down. This is happening on each visit. So poor considering the prices and reputation not good starbucks

Nice new building, clean and tidy. The problem is noise, not a serious problem, but needs some fabrics or similar to absorb sound. This would make it more sociable. Coffee was fine, was surprised by the size of a regular, but I'm not a frequent visitor (nearly said regular, but that would be confusing)

Either they are failing to update their opening times or the staff show up whenever they feel like it. I’ve been let down on multiple occasions and found the store closed when google says it should be open, sort it out guys.

Used the drive through to order a coffee. Was lukewarm at best and overpriced. I expect the coffee was made earlier. Poor. Won't be returning.

Been here a few times now, it’s hit and miss whether you’ll get a good drink, staff that struggle to get the order right had a few drinks remade as they got it wrong like wrong milk wrong coffee, wrong syrup or no labels on the cup so I don’t know what I’ve got even when made been given wrong sizes, if you want a better experience I recommend Project Coffee I’m Tadpole Garden Village

Required to repeat you order a minimum of 5 times, then 2 more times once arriving at the window. This process can take up to 15 mins providing there is no queue and if there is make sure you allocate an hour just to be safe. Coffee is tasty though

Nice modern building, friendly staff, shame that the coffee here is absolute trash.

Place is in need of a major deep clean! People's rubbish left on tables and not collected, tables need a good rub down (especially as COVID has not disappeared) and the whole place smells disgusting. Considering this is a new Starbucks, you wouldn't of thought it was walking into it. Cashier miserable and coffee is well overpriced, not in any competition at all with the two other Costas over Orbital. Will not be visiting again, looks like other people's reviews share the same concerns. Desperately needs looking into. A shame really!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Worst Starbucks cafe I ever visited. Untrained and rude staff. Had to repeat my order 3 times andb still they could'nt get it right. Staff behind counter were too busy with their personal chit chat and did not care about customers waiting. Order was under served. Got small latte for the price of medium. Again staff was too busy chit chatting than getting the order right.

I have been trying to get a coffee from this “drive through” for months but it is always closed. Today after finishing some shopping in Asda next door I decided to try and grab a cup of coffee on my way out. To my surprise I saw 3 cars at the drive through and I queued as well. At the order station I was “welcomed” with ‘what do you want?’ and to nobody’s surprise the person at the window was rather rude too. The car behind me was refused service at the drive through and was asked to park and order inside. On my way out I saw a member of staff moving some cones in order to prevent cars going through the drive through. Needless to say I do NOT recommend this place to anybody and I surely will not be returning here. On the other hand there is another coffee shop on the other side of Asda where staff is a lot more pleasant and professional.

Disappointing customer service. No notice to advise there was no semi skimmed milk.younge ladies giggling and playing behind service counter. As a competitor pleased to see the bad service Disappointed for the customers. Also as not busy cleanliness was very poor.

Been here multiple times over the last few months, coffee is good however the drive through is never open and the 'order ahead' option is hardly ever available... Poor staff are understaffed and it always takes ages for drinks to be made.

Lovely new building, but lottery as to whether they’ll actually have anything that you want in stock. Regularly out of syrups, toppings and flavours for the seasonal specials and who knows if you’ll have any luck actually getting food.

Ordered 2 Hot Chocolates no cream, they tasted burnt, absolutely disgusting, non drinkable, will not be going there again, total waste of money 😡

Came and they closed early so couldn't get coffee, have come in the morning even though they open at 8 still waiting outside at 8.35 for the place to open

Easy to park, great service, clean toilets, and not crowded

Clean, tidy, only one toilet for boys and 1 for girls and they weren't particularly clean but that's a blemish on the customer rather than the establishment. My only criticism is they have tiny circular tables. I'm 6ft 5 and it was hard to fit my elbows on let alone my laptop and papers.
