Starbucks in Tonbridge and Malling

My family and I have been to the tonbridge starbucks on a couple of occasions. We have now decided we will not be going back to this branch. It is the worse one. A member of staff call Max has been rude to us on a number of our trips. The toilets are always a mess and the tables take longer than necessary clear. We also noticed Max does not speak very nicely to the younger members of staff! Today I was not even aloud a straw for my ice latte. I waited for my partner to finish his drink for his straw. Because I have had jaw surgery and can not drink cold drinks without a straw.

Awful! Walked in to be totally ignored by the counter assistant continuing her conversation with possibly a customer or maybe just a friend who came to see her! It wouldn’t have been so bad if she had acknowledged me but she just carried on chatting away. Another worker came up and looked at me but didn’t ask if I wanted serving. Walked out without bothering to wait any longer.

Great high street location. The decor is very cheap and cheerful but it’s spacious. Prices average . Good service and speedy. Prices ok. Coffee ok.

3rd time today now that they have messed up my order, first time i ordered a skinny latte and was given hot milk with sugar free syrup in... NO coffee, went back and was given correct drink but the staff started arguing behind the till about whos fault it was? 2nd occasion ordered a vanilla latte and was given a latte with no syrup, 3rd occasion today ordered a large skinny latte and was given a medium so informed the staff off this who continued to argue back with me and say ‘you asked for a medium’ when i clearly didnt, then told me I had to pay the difference which was fine (should have been about 50/60p) and she charged me £1.75... meaning at this point I had paid £4.55 for a skinny latte?!?! Questioned her about this as its an absolute joke and the barista made a huge drama about it before finally refunding me. Absolute shambles in here and seems to happen every time we come. Barista was called ‘Chaz’ so rude and incompetent. If you cant make a simple coffee shouldnt be working there.

My friend and I come to Starbucks every Sunday before we go on a walk together. The last 3 times we have been we have been given the wrong drinks. Firstly my friend was given just warm milk with no coffee in and a lady with colourful hair was really nice and remade her drink, she told her colleague called Chaz what was going on to which her colleague told her not to shout at her. My friend and I were shocked as neither of us thought the First barista had shouted. On the second occasion, my drink had no vanilla syrup in. I did not want to return as I didn’t want to make a scene so just binned it. And then today, chaz served us and charged my friend for a medium despite her asking for a large. My friend then politely told her she had asked for a large and Chaz told her that she hadn’t but she could remake it and my friend would have to pay the difference. My friend was happy to do so. She had already paid £2.80 so she should have only been charged a further 50p as she didn’t have syrup. She was charged £1.75, meaning for a large skinny latte she had paid £4.55. I had paid only £3.80 for a large latte with syrup. We then asked about this and Chaz proceeded to argue with us without listening, thinking we were questioning why mine was more expensive. I then calmly explained that we were not questioning the cost of mine but we were questioning why she was charged a further £1.75 when it should have only been 50p. The whole amount was then refunded. Once my friend and I had left the shop and we both tried our drinks, we realised we had been given the wrong drinks and hers had syrup in. Due to covid we were unable to swap the lids so they were both binned.

Was visiting every other day. Coffee always perfect and better than costa and the other coffee brands. Good service and value

Located in the High street of Tonbridge, very close to all the shops, and other food units. It is a large shop with plenty of tables,and chairs ,and also some tables in the street. The service is very good with plenty of attentive staff behind the counter. The problem i found that most of the tables inside were dirty with bread crumbs on the tables and especially on the seats. I had to wipe my table and chair before i sit on it.

Staff are great and coffee is great. Hey, it’s Starbucks, what’s not to love? Well, in this branch it’s the disgusting condition of the seating. The leather sofas and armchairs are so stained with years and years of spillages, it’s quite revolting. A real downer on the atmosphere they’re trying to achieve.

Having called early in May of this year (2019) asked for a Latte and was served immediately with a good morning and smile even though the dear girl was on her own and very busy, I noted quite a few other people had come in before me and others coming in just after me she still remained cool and professional.
