Starbucks in West Lancashire

Overall the drink are lovely and enjoyable however the past few times me and my sister have gone to this Starbucks we have always had at least 1 problem between us when it comes to our drinks which is either the milk they put in or its just the fact they DO NOT read the labels of our orders, completely forgetting to add the sauces we have asked for and any requirements we may need. So if your a person with any requirements when it comes to ordering from here i would completely not waste your time and go find another place

The staff in this Starbucks I’ll lovely people but the place itself is a dump it’s not a bit inviting it’s not a bit cosy it is always freezing the toilets are a mess there is no warmth in that place to make it called a Starbucks Caffe. I have been in many of them and I don’t know who runs this one but it is a absolute disgrace . okay if you’re buying and taking away, But not to sit for a social meet up

Arrived here today at 18:45. The website says it is open until 19:30 and also on ‘google’ The door was open and two male colleagues stood behind the counter. So my intention was to purchase a drink for my eighty year old father with altzeimers. I was told they were closed (why they had decided to close 45 minutes early was beyond me) and I asked if my father could use the toilet. They refused. I explained he had a disability and they repeated it was closed (I noted at this stage his colleague looked uncomfortable) I said there is no where else to go with any facility’s and where is he meant to go? The car park? They said yes. Delightful people. I won’t be returning and if anyone is in same predicament there is a hedge by the side of Subway that can be used. Save your bucks and give this place one star. Disgraceful. I will be following this up with my MP and see where his lies with the disability act. I would also suggest when a shop is closed they would consider locking the shop and leaving but my feeling is they were just lying, cleaned up and putting their feet up for an hour. This place is effectively a service station in its situation. It’s always quiet and never particularly friendly but this is certainly the icing on the cake.

Social distancing not observed. Tea was the worst even after adding 2 more tea bags place dirty lots of dust o seats that were out of use because of so distancing. Toilets pan not clean. Service was quick and efficient

Visited June 2020 and appreciate this is a very trying time for everyone however even though my family were observing the 2 metre rule the chap serving would not serve us because we were a family of 3. When I explained we were following this rule when wanting to order a coffee he was still very reluctant. My mum and sister who live in the same house were approximately 8 metres away from myself. Didn't get the hot drink we wanted however when to Subway next door using exactly the same principle and they were happy to serve wouldn't go back here

Friendly helpful staff!!! Regular visitor here and the staff are very helpful. Service is fast and place is always clean and tidy.

First time visiting this Starbucks with my son for a treat. There was a rather large bone in my sons Festive Turkey Panini & a hair on his Toffee Nut Latte!!!!!!!! Will not be returning.

Love Starbucks the coffee is great only one small thing it’s sometimes very cold in the shop but everything else is great

Well they took the comfy chairs and slightly dark, but welcoming interior and turned it into a cheap and nasty version of Mc Donalds. Hard chairs, very nasty MDF table's that I swear they reopened MFI for . No atmosphere, same great staff but after 2 years of calling in, this will be my last vist....

After 5 hours stuck in traffic on the M6 and M58 we needed a break. I'm not a fan of Starbucks because they don't pay their fair share of taxes but I expected better. The male toilets had no running water, so impossible to wash your hands and this is a coffee shop/cafe - food hygiene issues here! The ladies toilet on the other hand had more water than enough - floods everywhere! The decor and layout of the coffee shop is dated, old-fashioned and dull. Only the young staff redeemed our disappointing experience.Plastic forks, no small cups and rubbish on the floor says it all. Come on Starbucks, get your act together!

On our way home from a busy day shopping on Friday we stopped off at the garage opposite for fuel, so we decided too pop in for quick coffee and bite too eat. It was around 6pm so was fairly quiet. It was a pleasant surprise too see the two young girls working where tidying cleaning and busy making the place look presentable as in the past we have been reluctant too go in as cleaning standards are quite low!! One staff member came over straight away very polite said hello asked how are day was and took our drinks order she then went straight over and made the drinks. While serving we got chatting her name is Emma and she took time too do the latte art which was lovely and when I asked her how she talked me through it. Just that little bit of customer service makes a huge difference well done Emma and the other young girl who's name I didn't catch

Sticky dirty toilets and doors....rude, lazy....cold to sit in warmer outside. to be blunt only saving grace I like starbucks food and coffee, at least the staff can't mess that up. Ahh food ready after drinks so leave it on side and wait till we ask. No queuing people, not busy so why not shout again or fetch it over ..... come on get a grip starbucks, or shut this branch down.

Came in for a drink on the way home from shopping. It is a bit out of the way but good if your travailing by in the car. Food and drink is average but does nice cake.

Staff extremely rude and unprofessional, my daughter tried to order 4 drinks none of which ingredients available. The lady serving was a bully and was trying to intimate my daughter sniggering at the fact none of the drinks available! When I complained she thought it funny, she advised she was a supervisor! Shocked at her attitude and she asked would I like to add in my complaint she was a supervisor! She smiled and laughed with her friends sat at the counter , clearly not at all interested in customers . Chloe in my opinion needs to get herself cleaning the filthy toilets away from the public ! Why work with the public if you can’t be polite and friendly , she’s had a very aggressive manner. Won’t be returning !

very expensive for a coffee, i would rather make my own at home. so just to be nice i would have a coffee,but my own tastes much better.

After my last visit being served by Tom, I said I would never return.

If the chap serving concentrated on that instead of inflicting the customers with his opinions in his piecing monotone way possibky the coffee would be hot when it eventally arrived

Staff were lovely had a lovely vegan wrap coffee strong and made quickly - even got served another coffee at my table by a lovely man with a ginger beard. Didn’t catch his name but all the staff were lovely especially having the bearded barista bring me my second ordered coffee!

Called in to pick something up for lunch. I only got a sandwich which wasn't very tasty, expected better for the price. There was one guy serving his name was TOM.

My daughter loves the mango and black tea lemonade so called in for the first time. It’s a relatively new branch so it’s lovely and clean with air con (especially needed today!). Only two staff working so they where rushed. The girl who took my order looked completely uninterested in me and my order (of one drink), no eye contact, no conversation, I could have had two heads and she wouldn’t have noticed! The guy who served me was under pressure to get all the orders through but he was doing his best on his own. He got my order (of one drink) wrong, mango passion something or other instead of the mango and black tea lemonade. I didn’t mention it as it looked delicious anyway but he was off like a shot to sort out his next order. So overall, a nice environment but poor customer service.

I am a regular, well once a week.

This is a relatively busy Starbucks just off the M58. So because its busy it can get a bit cluttered with dirty dishes etc which I guess is acceptable. But dirty toilets? Now that’s not acceptable at all. Each cubicle in the ladies was soiled and disgusting as was the disabled toilet, which I have to use! Poor hygiene in a eating house begs the question if the toilets are filthy what else is!!

I am a regular to this Starbucks as I am a student and come here to do uni work as it is a lovely atmosphere. The staff are brilliant-so friendly and will do anything to help!

Stopped for a coffee after a long journey for a much need Coffee and a leg stretch. The restaurant had ample parking and was in a good location. The Service was a little slow but with reasonable delay all drinks were available and delivered. My only comment was on cleanliness, although half the tables/seating were available, all needed clearing and cleaning. Customers were having to clear other customers cups and plates to get access to tables. They seemed to be short of staff.

Dishes everywhere ! Shelves empty ! Not much choice at all and was here at 12.15 ! lunchtime !!!!!!!!! Slow service only two girls working !! Very disappointed

As above great coffee but needs a good clean looking a little grotty. Tables usually have a bit of mess on them.

I have visited many starbucks around the area and was not happy at all in this one ,not very busy when we called ,staff stood around , tables not cleared ,food scraps on the floor ,had to wait over 20 mins for a simple order not impressed

We go here regularly as we live nearby, its larger than most Starbucks as it used to be little chef so plenty of room to sit, not on top of each other like most Starbucks we go to. Comfy seats as well as usual tables and chairs and a larger meeting table. Staff always friendly and highchairs available. Just annoying they don't do gluten free food for our daughter any more so she has nothing to eat in there, so we don't go as often as we used to. Toilets often have something broken in them but usually clean.

I stop off here quite often for a catch up with my friend and have never had a problem with the coffee or the staff. Everyone is pleasant enough and helpful however I do feel that the place needs a good refurb with better seating to get it up to scratch with other coffee shops in the area.

This is the second time we have been here and they do not ask you if your drink is a take-away, they just serve it to you in a paper cup!

I rarely visit coffee shops because I much prefer to make my own. Occasionally I feel the need for a boost while I am out and about. SB is usually the best around. On this particular day it was a bad mistake. The server was obviously bored and disinterested and I felt mocked and humiliated. Frankly I was shocked. Quite possibly just a bad a day, but on the strength of my experience, this particular establishment is impossible to recommend and I personally will never visit it again.

Busy on a Sunday afternoon, but similar to another local Starbucks they were using cardboard cups as the dishwasher was not working! This is the 4th Starbucks recently visited that it had happened, doesn't seem to happen at Costa!

Go quiet regular for take out drinks, the staff are lovely, always friendly and take time to chat and recommend drinks, great service, great staff

Well what can I tell you, the flat whites were really good but the best part was that Stevie G was there so my daughter and Stevie had a selfie. Will go back again and again just in Cases!!!

The mens toilets are absolutely disgusting. This is not a 'one off'. The urinal broken every time i visit. Surely after so long they could replace or fix the urinal in the toilet. This is my last visit to this Starbucks.

Pleasant and quite busy , good coffee however the air conditioning was on quite cool making the experience uncomfortable. I mentioned it to the Barista when being served, nothing changed. I and went and spoke with a friendly server, clearing tables, she immediately turned it up wam and closed the main doors. A couple near us also said how cold it had been.

Staff are extremely friendly, and provide a quick & efficient service. Premises are also very clean and comfortable - also nice and quiet, which you don't often get in a Starbucks!

Popped in for a cup of tea after dropping off a child at Edge Hill.

Great little coffee shop, several places to park, visit here quite often staff are very friendly, establishment is always clean and the coffee is great!, would recommend!

I attending today at about 14:30 hours. The premises was or seemed unclean and a mess. Flies flying around inside and it was not that warm. Very dirty tables and 2 members of staff. I orders our drinks and cakes and waited some time. Another 2 members of staff came out from the rear. 2 people sat with there family's asked if all was ok when trying to clean our own table. One went behind the counter to find a serviette as there where none. I was given food I had paid to eat inside placed in bags as no clean ones. I watched as the staff had to find clean cups and then wash them to wait for my drinks. A total of 10 people at this time where having drinks. The place was dirty and the worst Starbucks coffee shop I have ever been in.

This branch is handy coming off the M58 .Plenty of parking , lots of seating, and one or 2 tables outside if you have a dog .

Called in to this Starbucks on our way back from Ormskirk- and immediately wished we hadn't. It looks like a converted Little Chef. The furniture was way past its best. The toilets as far as the ladies were concerned had been vandalised.

Supposed to be Open till 8pm on Sunday's, I know this because i checked before we all left to visit!

Regularly use Starbucks Bickerstaff for business meetings with clients. Good parking facilities. Place looks tired and toilets not best. Coffee OK but food???? I suppose people have got use to standards dropping. Still will use for meetings though.

Overpriced poor coffee. Id rather heat tesco value coffee on an open fire in a thunderstorm. Nothing would drag me back

This is well located with ample parking. I met a friend for coffee. Like all Starbucks it is generally a pleasant environment but just a bit rough round the edges in parts. The service was great and the coffee is amazing! Feel a bit harsh giving only 3 stars but other Starbucks are slightly smarter and more comfortable- saying that I would come back in a shot as I just love the coffee!

Standard Starbucks coffee and service. No issues there! Handy stop off point. Cake always nice and fresh. Clean facilities.

Go in Starbucks every day This place is one of the best I have been to Staff really friendly makes a big difference One of those places you could relax stay all day ! Glad I found it

About 200 yards from Junction 3 of M58 near the Rainford By Pass. It can get quite busy but today only 5 or 6 customers inside.

Use the Starbucks as it is just off of the M6/M58 and great for business meets. Never had a bad coffee here and the staff are excellent

Visited on numerous occasions...and on every visit the staff have great customer service. Always very smiley!

Went to Starbucks for the first time and was not impressed. Bit gutted I love a good hot chocolate but it was just warm and didn't taste all that. My husband has Starbucks alot and he wasn't impressed either with his latte. Staff were OK place was nice and clean.

I have been driving trough her for over 25 years and the petrol station now has a Starbucks right by it...brilliant! It is large, great seating area and friendly service. If you are in the area and are about to start a long journey along the M58 and then the M6, this is great. Would also be good for a quick meeting.
