Best place for booze in Ormskirk. Staff are top quality drinks are cheap yet of high quality. Thew juke box is incredible 10/10

We hadn’t even sat inside for more than five minutes before being pressured to buy a drink by a rude member of staff and told we’d have to leave if not. Our whole party hadn’t arrived yet and we were simply waiting causing no disruption. Extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable way to treat customers.

Came in and asked the gentleman behind the till for the best place to buy hardware, he took me round back and hopped in the bin pulling out a hammer, he then proceeded to toss it onto the roof and tell me it was on the house, lovely staff and very accommodating to needs.

We went to the queens head Friday night after visiting ormskirk, Bar staff were very friendly, customer service skills from the dark haired girl we’re excellent. A lovely friendly atmosphere definitely will be visiting again.

Traditional type pub with friendly staff

Worst service I've ever seen. Heard a staff member say "I F-ing hate students" after we sat down. When we asked if we could sit down near another group the lady said "To be honest I don't give a F@#k". I asked for a receipt and I got the response "Why?". She then later had a meltdown at another table and proceeded to swear the pub down for 5 minutes. We quickly left. There are far better pubs in Ormskirk that are cheaper and have staff with basic manners.

Someone had stuck their used cheek g gum on the table and it wasn't cleaned up ....

What to say about this place. 1. Barmaid got the wrong drink when ordered, didn’t accept card payment but clearly had the machine for it. Highly suspect only accepting cash only in this day and age. Possible front? 2. Short changed by young bar man (looked prepubescent) 3. Asked where the pool cues are, told it was £5 deposit so got a Fiver out and she decided this was the time to go collect glasses. Deposited £5 for pool cues and at no point did they mention there was No white ball, which was amazingly replaced by a black ball with loads of chalk on it. Not sure they realise the white ball is different and hence it drops into the other collection hole. 4. Asked for money back for pool, told to F@&k off by the little boy behind the bar. Overall a pretty shocking experience, I certainly won’t be going again and I would suggest you don’t go to unless you like to be spoken to like something you’ve scraped off your shoe.

Disgusting treatment of ladies waiting to be served. Women and management behind bar ignore you to serve the men. Had to wait until all males were served and then a rude and casual woman.... Could not call her a lady... Sniffed at me before saying... What do you want... Horrific for a nice location... Shame on you greene king to even quantify this as a hostelry.

Brilliant staff but wages are never paid in full constantly having to chase up to get their money but never get it. If the management dont like a member of staff they accuse them of stealing bottles of alcohol and sack them. Disgusting loyalty to staff. That's why the turnover of staff is so high.

Alot nicer inside than it seems, pool table in the front, relatively decent prices, rekordelig on draught which is nice, always have log fires going if it's particularly chilly out, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

nice pub with a pool table but don't go there if you want a game of pool. I went yesterday and they had two pool cues neither of which had a tip so you couldn't play. Very poor.

Good food and a great place to hang with friends

I went into the queens pub last week with a group of my friends. We all went upto the bar individually and were all disappointed In the service we received. We were ignored at the bar by a girl who was very rude (dark hair) it appeared she was clearly more bothered about pushing her cleavage up and attending to men who walked upto the bar and were served instantly. To me and my friends it appears the staff are more bothered about themselves and should clearly not be working in a bar.

Visited one Saturday afternoon, there was 1 bar staff on with a pub full of people. I waited 40 minutes to be served, the only reason I stayed was because the group we were with had all bought bottles of wine/prosecco so we had to stay there until they’d finished- if it wasn’t for that reason I would have walked out! Won’t be going back!!

I went to this traditional pub in Ormskirk and was served by a really wonderful barmaid called Cara who was a pleasure to talk to. The pub is in the centre of the town and has a friendly atmosphere.

Recently refurbished. Staff are excellent. Lovely beer garden at the back.

Absolutely disgusting place, the pint and the glass stank of ass, the toilet is a dirty disgrace. Frankly, I would rather roundhouse kick my mum square in the jaw than go in here again. Needs shutting down. Dirty bas*ards

I've worked in many pubs and drank in a fair few too, but I've never had a pint of cider that stinks like the glass was cleaned up a dead badgers arse. I would definitely recommend this place if you like drinking brown stuff

Went to this pub with my partner to watch the Man City v Arsenal game as it was advertised to be showing Sky Sports, 10mins from the end of the game (which by then there were a few of us watching the game) the staff turned over to some foreign channels looking for the Everton game which didn't start for another half hour meaning we missed the end of the game we was watching. Won't be watching football here again.........unless its Liverpool or Everton!!

The staff are absolutely shocking, my friend was locked in the after it closed until we eventually found her at 10 to 6 in the morning, when she was found she was paralytic because she had been locked in there alone in the dark, the staff should check everywhere before locking the door, they deserve to loose there license for this disgusting situation

very popular pub in ormskirk lancs. Run by *Lainy and Paul. Has happy hours (ie lager £2) and a good selection of food by the resident chef. Good gang of people gather in there, as well as the students. Has music at weekends and beer garden if you wish to sit out and watch tv ; Al fresco'

Best pub in Ormskirk bar none. Its a proper pub sticking to its roots. Well done to last 10 years of landlords who have kept the nostalgic atmosphere. You have my hard earned cash any time.
