Great and welcoming every time I come in to the Wigan town Starbucks highly recommend only issue I find is the place is a internet dead zone but service and ambiance are epic

Nice place serve nice drinks onky thing the staff were way to noisy behing the till shouting very loud i came in for quiet drink but didnt get it esp one woman ,very loud

Like everything nowadays the take away and drive through take precedence over actual customers. Waited over 15 minutes for 2 Croissants and a latte. Staff were too busy talking on their headsets to bother, got shouted over for my order so asked "is it this one here?" Got ignored by the staff who were taking another drive through order so another helpful customer said yes it was. Poor.

Need get the wifi fixed as not been working for weeks now , dont see what s so hard about getting it fixed

The most unorganised starbucks that I have ever been too, never anything in stock . In summer , it would make sense to double up on caramel and lemonade, for the drinks , that they prepare daily . One or two of the staff are quiet switched on but the new staff haven't got a brain cell between them . I will never set foot in there again ! Also the tables are always filthy and if your longer than 1 hour on the carpark , you will get a parking fine of £100 , it happened to my friend . Absolutely discusting

Sat in drive through queue.Didn’t even bother ordering! The rats running round near the order point put us off! Yuck!!!

I went today at 3:45 asked for a Frappuccino got told they can’t do that sorry this is the 4th time in the matter of weeks I’ve been told this. I would like to know as I work in a coffee shop and as there on sale people should be able to purchase them. It’s always young girls who I feel clearly can’t be bothered to do it. However I went to costa they made me a mint Frappuccino which was lovely I will not be coming back to your store

Awful franchise. Not sure who actually manages stock levels but got so fed up with being told “we haven’t got that” I have converted to Costa!! No fruit toast No frapachino Only certain coffee!!! Gave up and went home 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Be aware you can park but only for an hour or you end up with a £100 parking fee absolutely pathetic from a coffee shop

I've been in the queue that long that I've had time to write this review. Quite honestly could have written a thesis on how the three staff couldn't have been less interested.

We were visiting my inlaws in Wigan and met them here for breakfast. We had coffees and breakfast and spent well over £25. All was ok and very Starbucky. We sat chatting for some time. A week later I recieved a £100 parking fine. Apparently the time limit is 1 hour and we were there 1 hour and 34 mins. Makes for an expensive breakfast. Allegedly there is clear signage but we didn't see it. Plenty of alternatives down the road where the parking is unlimited. We shan't be going here again.

Went in for a cup of tea and to catch up on a bit of work, ended up staying slightly more than an hour and received a £100 fine. I've done the same several times, gone with colleagues, had food etc. I won't be going again, or to any other Starbucks for that matter. Are you trying to lose customers? Disgusting practice, utterly without morals.

Ok social distance was all over the place the system is OK but needs to be better when getting served the girl was happy and cheerful but when giving my drink and other member of staff had worse attitude ever she passed me two drinks one was mine and someone else's mentioned that drink was someone else's she with a attitude said what then shoved my drink in my face

Just headed in for a quick coffee and snack whilst waiting for a car service next door. Service was extremely slow as car lane was prioritised. There were only 2 people serving. Received my croissant and pain aux raisin about 10 minutes before 2 filter coffees. Filled to brim I asked could some be poured out so I could add milk. Lady duly obliged saying I thought you wanted it black leaving coffee all over the outside of cup. I hadn’t been asked at any points during the 10 minute wait. So finally sat down with chipped odd plates, Luke warm coffees on heavily stained stained cups, at a wobbly table. Moved table, next one just as wobbly. Never again. Thanks Starbucks.

Really friendly staff, coffee with a warmed-up pain-au-chocolate, what more could I want at breakfast time, on my way to a site visit? Lovely!

Long wait for service. Tables are dirty, obviously not enough staff to meet the needs of the customers. This place needs a refurbishment; it looks tatty with peeling wallpaper, etc.

Ordered some coffee with family. The place is clean and very spacious. Lots of available seating. The baristas are nice and the lavatories are clean. Recommended.

Whilst a quick visit to the area we called in for a quick visit. Great hot food and fantastic coffee. Would recommend a trip or quick visit to all.

Enjoyed 2 light snacks and hot drinks in Starbucks Wigan. Was an extremely busy morning, but the service was excellent and fast. Toasted sandwich was pipping hot and the coffee was good. Nice establishment, clean surroundings and good atmosphere. Recommend a visit here.

Extremely busy during the Wigan festival of running. The staff did well to cope with demand, as they were queuing out of the door! I enjoyed a very nice mango iced tea.

Held a meeting at this Starbucks today. Nice dining area and very nice staff. The coffee I ordered wasn’t hot enough however they made another no problem.

I have fond memories of meeting friends here and it is nice. The staff are helpful and kind and the drinks tasty.

I'm not really a big Starbucks fan but agreed to come here and meeting friends. Mixed feelings if I'm honest. The coffee was nice, big cups and tastt. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice on flavours. The venue itself looked a bit aha. Furniture is comfy but seen better days. The floor was quite dirty and tables left unwiped. After sitting down a lady did offer to sweep up and tried her best to be fair though. The outside area is ok although a bit cramped. Rather annoying to see random people occupying seats with their phones and not bothering to buy a drink!! Would visit again but being honest there are nicer places to go.

Quick lunchtime visit. Great friendly service. Coffee v nice. Food was great - really enjoyed the pesto chicken ciabatta. V tasty. Dark chocolate cereal bar lovely as well. Chairs looked uncomfortable but actually alright. Nice light venue to eat & do some emails. Thanks !

Friendly pleasant staff, clean restaurant and toilets, always perfect drinks. The staff go out the way to make you feel comfortable.

I have visited their Market Place branch 3 or 4 times and each time has been a pretty unpleasant experience. I always vow never to return & to be honest don't know why I do! Maybe lack of choice in Town. Quite simply the place is shabby, dirty and generally unpleasant! The furniture needs a darn good shampooing/deep clean and the staff need training in hiw to wipe a table WITH A CLEAN CLOTH. The toilet usually leaves a great deal to be desired, again often dirty without proper facilities (errrr soap & loo roll - pretty basic ay). Their prices are extortionate, drinks seldom hot and customer service underwhelming. Trouble is there aren't many alternatives so they get away with it... sorry guys save your dosh for somewhere much better!...Starbucks get your staff training sorted & have some pride for heaven's sake!!!

What can a say, it's run like a well oiled machine and the frappucino was amazing. I ordered 3 medium skinny frappucino's with sugar free vanilla syrup and coffee and they were all great. 👍🏻

This is the Scot Lane branch, not the town centre one in the photos. I've visited here 5 times and each time the service has been incredibly slow and I always vow not to go back but keep giving them another chance thinking maybe it's been a bad day. I actually reversed out of the drive they on one occasion after 20 minutes of queuing and not moving. Today is the last time I'll visit - not only was the service incredibly slow but the staff are rude. I ordered 3 drinks - they made 2 and then disappeared. Then one member of staff came back and started making my 3rd drink then walked off halfway through - then he came back to finish it....then wandered off again. I had to ask another staff member if he could hand me the remaining drink. No pleasantries or smiles from the staff - they don't even make eye contact just mumble to each other over their headsets. Absolutely would not recommend this place - and I won't be returning.

Whilst out and about Christmas shopping, we stopped off at the Starbucks, the store was very clean and tidy, staff were friendly and we sere served quickly. I would recomend this store

We visit here when driving this way into Wigan. We went inside on this visit and ordered hot drinks and a cake. I tried to pay via my phone app, but ended up having to pay cash as their electronic system was not working, so I could not even pay by debit card.... no wonder the premises were empty of customers!

Went into the drive through ordered my large latte got to the window the young man said have you ordered a sugar free latte I said nope just a normal one. The girl making it sworn and poured the wrong drink away I was unhappy with the service I received there ...

I have been here several time when driving into Wigan, its near their DW Football Stadium (Not the town centre branch which seems to also be written about here along with photos!)

We walked in and it was very quiet we orders 3 blueberry muffins and 2 mocha's to take out and the till operator/server was not very smiley and messed up the order and confused us but in the end we got our food paid and left!! I would recommend going but I wouldn't mix up the orders or the staff get grumpy SOMETIMES not every member off staff though!!!'n

Some stores could learn a thing or 2 from the staff at Wigan, the best i have come across in any Starbucks! They know me by name, and cant do enough for you. I recieve this level of service everytime i visit. The service pace is also exceptional also, especially during lunchtime.

Staff are great & friendly, always helpful and acknowledge you. The tables are not always clean and sometimes sticky. When it is busy it takes too long to clear the tables so you end up sitting at full table. The toilet is always dirty when I go here.

why this place is so popular defeats me over priced ordinary coffee over priced eats and not to good get better value at a greasy spoon joint

The staff always have a smile here and are always ready to help you. Never have to wait long for drinks either. Sometimes hard to get a table though.

Broken glass to the entrance door. Rubbish all over the floor. Poor quality coffee and ages to wait before being served. I won't be going back !!

We love Starbucks in Wigan town centre, the drinks and food are 1st class and the staff are great. Always happy to help & have a laugh with you... nothing to much trouble. We refuse to go anywhere else in town 😆

I have visited this branch of Starbucks a couple of times and each time has been a positive experience! The store is always clean and tidy and the staff offer great service with a smile every time! Not to mention they make a great coffee!!

Me, my wife and my girls have been going in here for years and it is perfect to spend quality time with our daughters where we can talk in a nice relaxed environment. Rima, John, Clare, Lauren, Pete, and others (sorry to numerous to mention) all know my name and always make us feel welcomed and valued and we won't go anywhere else. They always ask how we are and show a genuine interest in us which money can't buy. These traits are what makes this such a special place to us all. Well done guys! Dave (Huggy)

The best place in Wigan to get a coffee. The staff are warm and welcoming. They no my name as I go in regular. Always have time to have a chat. Would recommend this shop to anyone.

I visit this store almost every day, and am always greeted by a friendly member of staff. They know my name and regular order, which in my opinion is going that extra mile. The staff here are some of the best ive come across (...and i visit quite a number of stores), Each of them set a great example for Starbucks and they always make my drink to my satisfaction.

As per usual you pay for the Starbucks name but the staff really did look unimpressed with the prospect of having to serve customers or do some cleaning

I'm a regular customer, and spend a fair bit of money here too! But over the last month or so I've noticed the cleanliness levels drop. Clean it up guys!

Sorry to say but it's just a typical chain coffee shop, which is average at the best, I felt as though it was trading off the Starbucks name not quality

Visited the wigan Market Place today. All I can say is the service was shocking. I asked whether they did Defaf as it wasn't clear on the notice board. She said yes. I was unclear on which coffee style I wanted. She was snappy and snarley. She asked whether I would like whipped cream. I said don't tempt me as on slimming world.. she snapped again. Only a question !!! Was her reply. American company SHOULD equate to American service. Not in Wigan. Shame really she let the rest of team down

There's Cafe Nero, Costa and other coffee shops locally, this Starbucks being the grubbiest - dirty floor and tables. Sticks for spoons, and oh why, when ordering a coffee, do I have to give my name? Then, I am charged 20p more than the menu price for my coffee because they have used another blend of coffee? Plus, absolutely dreadful rap 'muzac' blasting out. I'll stick to Cafe Nero in future.

although you cannot fault the staff or the decor i had a brownie hotchocolate, within 30 minutes of drinking it i was horrendously ill... and continued that way for at least 24 hours.... like i say, the staff were plesent enough, but purely on this experience i would not risk going back.

The shop was busy and people were waiting for tables to be cleaned. Good choice of coffees but what else do you expect in a coffee shop, staff were polite.

As always I come into Starbucks in Wigan on a daily basis to give myself the extra fuel ;). As always the staff instantly know me, which shows customer loyalty. They usually know what I want which is a white cafe mocha with caramel syrup and cream to go.
