I called in for 2 x coffee & my chocolate plant cake. Although I miss the bannana plant cake this one is also nice. The lady on the till is outstanding, so friendly & polite. Also I always have an iced water with my coffee, it may have been the manager a gentelemen that reccognised me. He had an iced water prepared in advanced without me asking for it. The service is outstanding. We prefer the size of the converted pub in chesterfeild as my son is autistic & prefers large spaces. However they are quite abrupt & rude at that store, this pulls us back to giltbrook as the majority of the staff are outstanding, it doesn't go unoticed thankyou so much.

How very very rude!!! Called in today as I have on many occasions since this store opened. Overlooking the fact that the place stinks when you walk through the doors closest to car park I decided to join queue. As usual the queue was rather long but the server who took my order was lovely and very friendly. However, I realised quite quickly that I had left something off my order. My fault I know but I asked guy doing coffees if I could just grab what I needed and pay. Not a bloody chance on this earth. Guy was so so rude, unnecessarily so in my opinion. Get to back of long queue. I can quite honestly say that that would never have happened a few years ago. Starbucks prided themselves on their customer service but not at that store it seems. I’ve been to many Starbucks around the world. NYC stores were amazing to the point that when one store could not supply me with one item my whole order was “on the house”. What a difference

Staff are always friendly. Know what I will be ordering as soon as they see me. Only time this doesn’t happen if there are new members of staff serving. Great customer service. Always looks clean too.

I didn’t get my coffee after a half hour wait due to making me late for work. I understand they were busy but with the amount of staff on I’d expect better service then 20-30 min wait

Went to collect drinks for kids. 2 meter stickers in the floor for distance between customers, ok, but, the que route reverses on itself, like in the airport passport control, so the 2 meter gap becomes just a few Cms, an so defeats the object of maintaining space. Added to that a couple of Cov idiots not wearing masks and not being chanllenged by the staff, who by the way were all very good and observing the rules. This is a management problem, not a staff issue. They need to put a bit more thought into their planning.

Absolutely disappointed with the service. The restaurant ran out of soya so I politely asked the service if on this occasion could they use something else as non dairy substitute. Normally, the almond, coconut or oat milk cost extra 40p but I had no other option but to chose one of them to have a coffee with. The lady manager showed an attitude when I asked if this could be free, on this occasion as it was not my fault that the cafe couldn't serve free soya. She replied 'It is what it is, I am sorry, you can't have it for free'. I was gutted because I spent 15 min in the queue and had to pay more for my order than anticipated.Not very good customer service.

Dark and cold outside. Two black coffees and shared a piece of cake. Very nice. Staff friendly and helpful and will go again.

Always seems filthy in there have been in on three occasions and have failed to be served twice, there are staff there but really not sure what they do, the toilet is usually out of order and the tables are filthy as well as the floor, I am surprised the company aren’t aware of this, I won’t be returning

Excellent service and great cappuccino. Restaurant is well located and reasonably clean. I had a takeaway, so didn’t sit in.

Ordered two coffees to take away, one was made and put on the counter top and my name called. The staff members then swapped over as I waited for my second drink. The customer behind me was then given her drink so I spoke to the girl behind the counter and said I was still waiting for my other coffee. She said ‘oh it must of got mixed up in the queue’. (Note, no apology). She then made another coffee and gave it to another customer before finally making my second drink. She then slammed it down on the counter without a takeaway sleeve on it. No apology, no thank you, an absolutely disgraceful manner in which she gave me my other drink. Certainly wouldn’t visit here again in future, nor recommend it to anyone (unless you don’t mind bad service).

Starbucks is a chain I dont tend to use. I can recall a handful of others which I thought were basic.I'd just made my second visit to IKEA within days. It was a long and slow journey from Lincolnshire and needed some refreshment before facing the return trip. I didn't fancy the IKEA restaurant and of the other options on this site Starbucks seemed the least worst.It wasn't that busy and I was served very promptly, by a cheerful young lady who was very tuned in to what I might want, like 'room for milk with your coffee?' and 'Would you like sauce or ketchup with your food?'Probably because this Starbucks wasn't busy at the time, my food and my coffee didn't keep me waiting. The coffee was acceptable and my chipolata roll was much nicer than I'd expected.Starbucks tends to be characterized by 'down at heel' tables and chairs.This was the only thing that shouted 'Starbucks' in a negative way - perhaps it's supposed to be shabby chique?I'd come here again which is something I don't normally say about this chain.It started off well with the young lady who took my order. I wish I'd noticed her name. She deserved a mention!

I said I’d do it... an I did it! I spotted this particular Starbucks on a shopping trip to next just over a week ago! I was sat in Costa an I was looking over at this Starbucks thinking I wonder how the other half live...!? An I don’t mean money wise. What I mean is there’s always competition between Costa an Starbucks no matter where you go if there’s a costa, you can bet money on it that there’s a Starbucks not too far away! I mean is there really that much competition!? There is people out there that are strictly Starbucks an others that prefer Costa... I wanted to see where my loyalties would lie... I suppose it’s a bit like marmite, you either love it or you hate it... or you hate it but love the marmite flavoured crisps that’s my category Anyways I took the trip to this green coffee giant, I ordered a chicken an avocado wrap which I haven’t seen in a coffee establishment before! It was very nice to say the least! Filled a gap an left a warm fuzzy feeling inside! Speaking about warm fuzzy feelings... there’s nothing warmer an fuzzier then the hot drink I purchased! Well I say purchased... I used a voucher I received from Vitality life insurance! (I’m not plugging vitality or anything !) I had the delight of trying a cappuccino with almond milk! It was a very nice, soft coffee indeed, wasn’t too bold or strong! It had a lovely sweet nutty flavour obviously from the almond milk! It was a nice change to the strong, bold, sharpe coffee flavour I get at Costa! Overall the location was easily accessible, it wasn’t a hassle getting into the retail park! There was lots of choice of food and drink! Staff was friendly, shopfloor was clean an tidy! It was also busy which is a good sign! The coffee was good! Thank you Starbucks for a top quality brewski! This is certainly the worst Starbucks I think we have ever visited. The restaurant is very small and extremely dark inside. The seating is very tight and cramped also. The drinks were to the usual high standard one expects from this chain.I was extremely disappointed to find the restaurant didn’t have any white sugar on the day of our visit.

We visited on a super busy Saturday, greeted with a lovely smiling staff, even tho she was rushed of her feet, she was so lovely and great tasting coffee, what more can u say

Its a Starbucks but when you need a break from one side of the Giltbrook retail park before venturing over the other side, its needed, good service, nice seating outside if a little too close to traffic, but a good pitstop

Visited on 15/5. Unsure what to have as I didn’t fancy a coffee. The very knowledgable male barrister made some suggestions and the hibiscus tea was as he said, delicious. Sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed my drink.

Starbucks used to be a safe bet for good coffee knowing that your pay a premium for the brand.

Restaurant tables uncleared and area messy ..... very nice Mocha & raspberry cheesecake muffin though

The coffee here is excellent - they offer a good selection of alternative milks and serve it well.

My 11 year old daughter had to clear tables so we could have a table for 3. Considering there was only a few customers one would have thought they could clear the tables with two employees present behind the counter. This may be a bad day for them but it's the second time we have visited and the place is messy. Shame because the drinks are good. My daughter gathered up the rubbish and put it on one table (picture attached)

Great coffee. Place tidy despite few staff. But my oh my the toilet is tiny. Worthy of airlines. Sqeeze to get in and close door. Hand dryer goin off all time due to close proximity to loo. Advice - use disabled if u are over a size 10 or a man .

Served the worse frappachino I have had. Just water with a hint of coffee. Total waste of money. On a positive note, the red velvet cake was lovely.

My son, his girlfriend and I called in here for a hot chocolate after doing some shopping, quick service, friendly staff, enjoyable hot chocolate!!! Some tables needed clearing and wiping but we found a table no problem because it wasn’t overly busy.

It's good but it has no toilet so don't go in there if you need the loo it has good coffee and treats

called in here while in the shopping park ikea was closed due to water problems so our daughter my wife and myself nipped into the Starbucks we sat at the window we had coffees and a snack the breakfast style bar surface was sticky because the staff carn't be bothered to wipe it hate surfaces to be sticky you darn't put your elbow on the surface for fear of getting it stained, i went to the toilets on the way out the disabled toilet was out of use leaving both sexes to use the remaining toilet when i eventually got in what a squeeze the area inside the toilet is far to restrictive has i stood over the bowl relieving myself i was constantly setting the hand dryer off it is far to cramped the moron that designed that little beauty wants locking up oh the coffee was so so not my choice just followed my wife and daughter not an experience i will be repeating i

Visited around 6pm on a Thursday, so a fairly quiet time, and yet it was tough work to be served! The lady on the till completely begrudged telling me what flavour muffins were in the case (as the signs had all been removed) and the second lady who should have been making hot drinks was too busy having a chat with the manager and a 3rd woman (who I guess was off duty staff by the conversation) behind the till whilst I was stood waiting at the counter. After over a minute, the manager clocked me standing there and said to the 2nd lady, 'are you even making drinks?', to which she shrugged, said no and sloped to the machine with terrible attitude. At £4 a drink and rubbish service I won't be hurrying back.

Have met a couple of people here over the last couple of weeks and must say it's not great was there last night service ok but tables had not been cleared seats are looking worn and place looked shabby tables not that clean will not be going back in a hurry

Came here for a coffee in the evening. It was a cold night and the door kept getting stuck wide open so it became quite cold! I think people are supposed to maybe get a coffee and go? Staff were friendly enough. Price-wise it's a Starbucks so prepare to pay £4 for a drink.

Called here today when shopping on the ikea retail par. Normally would go to costa but the rain changed our plan. Service of ordering was ok but waited 20mins to get our drinks. Flat white not as nice as costa and cost more. Place was rather drab and scruffy. Was very busy and tables not being cleared very fast.

Too short staffed to serve in proper cups, takeout cups only! Dirty floor, dirty tables and unchecked toilets which were just bearable. Not good at all, never come here people!

In a prominent position on the retail park, Starbucks here is normally rammed full of people waiting for Ikea to open. Despite the volume of people, the staff do a good job of keeping the store clean and they always have sufficient stock.

Visited for a coffee and cake about 10.30. Place absolutely filthy. Sat outside and tables dirty with litter on the floor. Disinterested staff, no trays available and no offer to assist with carrying my order. Will stick to Costa in future

Been at this Starbucks a few times. There is always minimal staffing. Today a Saturday, just after lunch one one of the hottest weekends of the year. Line out the door. Plenty of tables but not one clean of rubbish from pervious customers. Barista had an attitude when they told us they had no lemonade for the new Tevana feature drinks right now. Also the second Starbucks without all the ingredients for the new yogurt frappucinos being featured. Rather disappointed with visit today.

It is what it is, no different from any other Starbucks, service was okay, enjoyed my bacon roll and coffee, restaurant was clean and tidy.

The usual fare you get anywhere in the UK, but the staff don't seem to have the operational flow that you see in other busy Starbucks. Also always crowded so hard to get a seat.

Called for a coffee latte and it was ok a little cold as i mentioned to the staff they did offer to replace but as i was in a rush i declined

Called in at 11am to be greeted by a staff member yawning and complaining that it was a long day. Had to repeat my order and was met with lots of huffing and puffing. The tables were plentiful but dirty and littered with dirty pots. There were serviettes on the floor. Generally a tip but the drink and caramel shortcake was fine.

Great coffee, friendly staff seating not the most comfortable and seems a bit cold temperature wise inside. An ideal hideaway from the horrors of IKEA though!

Starbucks is in the local precinct where I shop on market day, I often sit outside with a lovely cup of coffee and watch the world go by. The precinct is a busy little area of the main drag from Ilkeston market. Market days are Thurs, Fri & Sat, I buy all of my fruit and veg, shoes, clothes, please visit Ilkeston on market days we need to breath new life into our little town.

The place was dirty had to clear and wipe down our table moved moved cups and rubbish on to next table still there when we left.Old food on bottom of table leg butter wrappers and reciepts on floor under our table.Windows had sticky had marks on them this was at 11am in morning .Very disappointed did not enjoy our drinks and cake because of the place being dirty hate to think what the standards are behind the counter.

Even though this Starbucks is in the car park of a large retail park it is good place to get coffee. It manages to be pleasant and reasonably quiet. The staff are great and the drinks are just as good as in any other branch.

Place is proper busy right now (14:38) on a Saturday.

Use this place often- staff are nice and friendly coffee is good as usual place is nice to relax and watch the world/ city go by- always busy

Tried this Starbucks for the first time, we had a coffee and a hot chocolate, very nice taste but was only lukewarm. Service was friendly and quick

Have visited here on many occasions and never been let down. Staff have always been great.
