Starbucks in Norwich

Visited today with my daughter I do not appreciate sitting having a quiet coffee listening to someone’s dog barking inside there.

Tables were disgusting food had been clearly left out and no one had cleaned all day liquid on the floor and crumbs everywhere looked like it hadn’t had a deep clean in a while and barista with pink hair sorry unsure on name was speaking on the phone and not paying attention to anything that was happening. Awful.

Filthy tables and service counter, staff miserable, lady at the til left when there was a queue of people waiting to be served, coffee was a 20 minute wait and very underwhelming, worst starbucks ever!

Worst Starbucks we have ever been too. We ended up leaving it it was taking that long for people to be served. Every single table was filthy and covered in rubbish. Clearly staff were not clearing and wiping tables. The sandwich selection was poor. There was hardly anything.

How can a chain like Starbucks have such a filthy establishment. This place was beyond dirty. It looks like tables etc are cleared by staff but everything else, windows, window ledges, floors, furniture, etc doesn’t get touched. Absolutely filthy. A disgrace in fact. I won’t be returning. If the cafe area and toilets are this dirty how can I have confidence the drinks machines etc get cleaned properly. Horrible. Wanted to go elsewhere and wash my hands after!

I realise the smashed window isn’t their fault - but the dirty,grubby, unswept floors and general feeling that the place needs to be cleaned certainly is their fault. Very shabby and feels uncared for and unloved. Not a good look compared to your nearby located competitors Starbucks!

Nice staff but the whole place needs a throughly DEEP CLEAN. The floors, toilets etc were disgusting. Food was okay but couldn’t wait to get outside.

Stopped here for a quick drink whilst shopping, we sat outside but hardly any chairs and certainly not enough for each table so my son had to stand. I had a large iced caramel frappe which was really lovely, a tad more expensive than McDonald’s but I think it was better as the put more caramel sauce in all the way down. When shopping in Norwich again I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to pop in here time. I cannot comment on the toilets as I didn’t use them but will maybe sit inside next time as I had a man come up to asking for a cigarette which I didn’t appreciate but I wasn’t the only one to get asked. Thankfully I vape so I couldn’t give him a cigarette even if I wanted to.

WC stinks; the extractor fan is broken and NOT working. The hand dryer is broken and NOT working! The soap dispenser is EMPTY! The hand sanitizer machine at the entrance is NOT working. The flat white coffees were cold; no spoon or tray offered. Service was cold and disinterested; staff looked miserable and badly trained in customer service! The guy making the coffees looked like an amateur! When I politely complained regarding the above, the response was pitiful and wholly inadequate. Useless and disrespectful response! Ghastly experience, and overall and a dreadful disgrace to Starbucks!

We popped in for some Frappuccinos but unfortunately they didn’t have any soya milk. My niece had her drink which she enjoyed & they kindly added more caramel syrup later on. I asked if they could get some soya milk but they explained that they aren’t allowed to go & buy soya milk at a supermarket which seems strange. The tables were dirty for quite awhile then when they did clear our table they took our water away. The staff were very friendly. I went to Caffè Nero to get my coffee as they had soya milk.

Toilets were filthy, stink of urine, no soap and no hand dryer working. Spoke to manager who also had a scruffy appearance and didn’t seemed to care, so didn’t have coffee as wondered if the cups would be clean

Not a lot to say it’s a chain but this was a good branch of the chain. Nice coffees and cold drinks normal price.

Asked for a peach tea tasted like water asked for another just as bad ... ordered a cream based mango frap just got mango ice not impressed by this store at all

Very good service and coffee from friendly and professional staff. This branches asset is it's location which is totally central next to the market and is south facing so sitting outside you can usually catch the sun as you watch the street drama drift by!

I visited Starbucks and had a lovely time, the hot chocolate is great!! I visited Starbucks and had a great time, but very expensive but I guess, since I was SOO good, it had to be at a good price!!

Quick visit to catch our breath. Quick service good range of products as usual. Dishwasher broken so serving paper cups / no problem the place looked tidier!

Stopped for a coffee and a cake, this place is always a little busy because of all the free loaders sitting around charging their mobile devices and using the free internet with not a lot of purchasing going on !!! One group of 5 had one cold drink between them, charging their mobile devices whilst using the free internet ? where else would any business put up with this ? we nearly walked past because the place looked busy. The coffee is great as usual but the food is rubbish, why are all the cakes dry and like eating cardboard ? I fear most have been on and around the shelves for a few days, we wanted a Lemon cake but they said they had none yet when a space became available on the counter out came the Lemon muffins ?? Obviously trying to sell the old cakes before replenishing with new stuff !!!

This is not a place I would visit again, tables are cramped, the air stale and I didn't think the coffee was anything worth writing home about. It is well overpriced, I'd rather find a small independent retailer.

Always a great meeting place and the barristers are very helpful. We meet up with our guide dogs there and they are also well looked after with bowls of water and lots of fuss.

This is a nice comfortable, central place to get a coffee and chat. It has plenty of seats and toilets which is always handy when drinking coffee! They have hard seats or sofas if you want to get comfy.

Stopped in here to grab a coffee. Surprised to find it was quiet despite being at the entrance to the Chapelfield Shopping mall. This meant I was served reasonably quickly. It is however a Starbucks so it's pretty much the same as what you would find across the country. The coffee was as expected.

Didn't like this place, there was no where to sit - single persons spread right out, coffee was cold and not very nice.

Visited this branch of Starbucks at around 08:30 on a weekday. The queue, which was about five people deep, moved quickly, the service was friendly and my spiced pumpkin latte was delicious! Nice place to go for a little treat!

Our group enjoyed visiting, "enjoyed the cake" and the "drink was lovely". Service was good and staff were both friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy, though apparent staff shortages meant that some tables upstairs were not cleared and could have done with a wipe. Toilets were clean.

Busy, seats outside, clean loo, no queue... what more can you want from a city centre coffee shop. Great spot to watch the world and his wife/hubby go by...

Really friendly service and right in the city centre. Upstairs has loads of charging sockets and spaces to do some work if you'd like to

the staff are brilliant here: lovely and welcoming - including making an effort to remember specific drinks orders and giving me the extra when the frap makes excess! Coffee is always amazing too.

The Hibiscus Tea is absolutely perfect and delicious, the best i have ever tried, shame they don't sell it in tins in the cafe but it is available on the Starbucks website. The yogurts and Frappaccinos are gorgeous to eat and the yogurt frappaccino should be available all year around - please Starbucks!? The customer service is top notch and first class, the baristas care about the customers and are thorough in service delivery. They are a happy, smiley and charming team, a delightful place to visit and relax.

As usuall nice coffee, also sandwiches, bottled juice cakes. Friendly staff and free wifi from mall next door. Nice place to kill time.

We went in here on a Sunday morning to find an empty top floor with long vacated tables strewn with dirty cups etc which even after finishing our coffee had still not been cleared. Poor management. Wouldn't go again.

Very good service. The barista who served me happily stopped her colleague from starting my cappuccino when I threw in a couple of extras in at the last minute. Very happy with my cappuccino, just like my mum was with her tea.

Very poor value for money with dry sausage and flattened bap. Dreadful music. Very nice coffee though

I agree that this shop is really chilled, used all three in Norwich now and this one is by far the most laid back. Really liked sitting upstairs and watching the world go by.
