It's an out - of - town drive thru, with Scrabo tower as a backdrop; I've never driven through a drive - thru for a coffee and I didn't this time either. I went in, I ordered two extra shot tall cappuccinos, one with sugar - free vanilla syrup and I brought my own cups so two pretty good coffees £6. There was plenty of room inside but we sat at tables outside as it was warm enough, for a change, as our summer has been pretty much a washout. The WiFi is fast but doesn't even work outside at the seats and that's pretty lousy. There's a Tim Horton's drive thru close by and a BurgerKing. I liked Horton's coffee while in Canada but here it's not great so I don't bother and don't intend to bother. Starbucks will do when there nothing better nearby. This Starbucks was clean, bright and airy with the aircon working very effectively. There were three friendly staff serving and they were under a bit of pressure and not really coping adequately.

I have had the pleasure of spending time here over the past few years, to escape, far from the madding crowd. All tastes are catered for, both beverage wise and food wise, with a wide array on offer. With newly recovered, comfortable armchairs providing a chance to sit and sip delicious coffee (mine’s a Cortado), read or enjoy the conversation, what makes this a special place, is the people who work here. Taking your name for your order, not only ensures you get the right drink, it helps build a bond between staff and customers, provides a welcoming experience and quality social interaction. Highly recommended, just don’t sit in my seat…

Appalling service left waiting for 15 mins to then have to ask for a refund to which the ill mannered staff gave without even an apology will not be returning this Starbucks need to look at their staff and perhaps give a training course on customer service skills !!

If you as a store cannot deliver on just eat as you have just joined it then get off just eat if you cannot deliver cancelled order after calling to say one item was not available then I happy changed it then driver is assigned but then cancelled come on it’s work totally discussing get a grip and do the job

I hate leaving bad reviews but my experience at the Ards branch today was completely unacceptable. Starbucks Ards, the worst experience I've ever had. I hate complaining but the staff in there were so rude! I was getting a caramel macchiato plus 2 hot chocolates for my granny and sister and I went to pay. Before I always get points on the Starbucks app so I can save a bit of money as everyone knows how dear it is in there. The girl serving me was obviously new which I had no problem with and put in my order wrong. But it took forever and no one even apologized about the wait. Then when I went to pay another barista said that I can't use the card because I don't have any money on, which isn't what I was told in Belfast. Anyways, I said that was a okay and paid regularly. Then when I was waiting for the drinks the baristas were sniggering, talking amongst themselves and looking in my direction the whole time. I will never ever be back to that branch. Not for a long time anyways. All I wanted to do was get a couple of drinks for my granny and sister when she's had such a rough day as my Granda is terminally ill in hospital. We really didn't need this today.

Tables on this visit were dirty again. First time I visited, I just thought it had been a busy day.. but when I looked around, no tables had been given a proper wipe down. Coffee very bitter, and expensive.

Drinks are never consistent and you are lucky if you get what you ask for. Certain staff can be very unfriendly at times which is a shame as there are other staff working in there that are so helpful and friendly.

This is actually a great spot for.grabbing a coffee with a friend. It's got way more atmosphere than you would think for a Shopping Centre cafe. The sweet treats are good, as are the hot drinks but unfortunately, they don't serve decaffeinated tea.
