Stood at the counter with no other customers present waiting to be served, a few minutes later an assistant comes over passes us and starts serving people who have walked in behind us. We explain we are still waiting so he offered to serve us next after serving the person behind us first. He then tells us there will be a 20 minute wait for a hot chocolate as the cups had not been washed up and they only had 1 clean mug...20 minutes, I laughed...really!! we agreed to have 1 in a mug and 1 in a paper cup, however, I asked him why he couldn't use one from the stack of cups behind him instead. He replied their the wrong dimension, I said I dont mind, but he insisted that we had a choice to wait or have 1 in a paper mug for sitting in, then our pastries were given to us in a paper bag, no plates provided even though he knew we was sitting in. Very poor customer service, if there was no correct size mugs I believe we shoukd have been offered the larger cup which were available. £15 2 X Chocolates & 2 parties, piss poor service. Then we had to clean our table ourselves... never again would I go there.

Was an amazing experience. The staff treated me with the up most respect and every single one of them worked with a positive attitude . And my caramel Frappuccino was absolutely delicious. Hats off to you!!

My wife and I take our coffee in Jackson sq. This week the outside tables were taken by about 6 youngsters sitting playing on phones etc. Taking two tables and chairs. Non seemed to have purchased any thing from the store. Your staff should have challenged them to either buy something or move on. This is not the first time the outside seating is taken up by non customers. We had to go home without our drinks.

Bought a tall hot chocolate yesterday in Starbucks Castletroy Limerick. It cost €5.15. Last week €4.55!

Rude staff, poor service. Ordered a drink had to wait an age & then not given what I had asked for. Rude guy making the coffee. Poor experience.

Bought standard size hot chocolate and 2 kids hot chocolates. When I received the receipt it stated that the standard size is £3.10 and the kids hot chocolates are each £3.00. As you will notice in the photo's the kids hot chocolates are much smaller. I queried it with staff and was told that 'at least I safe 10p'. How is this not a Rip off?! Rather go to Costa around the corner and get a kids hot chocolate for under £1!

Comfort surroundings and great coffee . The only criticism is that , although plenty of cakes and biscuits . There were no “savoury” items to eat as a snack with my excellent Coffee

Fruit bread & Coffee was perfect as alwaysThe girl Serving wound me up had to repeat everything 3/4 times asked for takeaway & we got the fruit bread on a plate to eat in.The toilets were disgusting pee all over the floor toilet paper etc on the floor just looked unclean. Walked out of the loo & my husband had to tread on the loo paper to remove it from the sole of my boots ☹️

Look I be well honest with the servics I received very welcoming coffee shop and nice greetings and really nice frappe and good variety of foods and cakes and desserts. However there still needs a touching up I just wasn’t happy with the straw I was giving it couldn’t suck anything from the frappe there was long queues some many people taking behind the counter not really paying any attention to any customer which was causing congestion and delays. I will be returning and I will definitely recommend this place but just be prepared for the worse. Really overpriced and uncooperative as well

Recently had a much overdue refurb. Which has much improved the place. Unfortunately the staff/management have failed to keep it nice. This is the third and last time I come here its a discrace everytime we come. Our table was filthy and rubbish was everywhere. £3 for a coffee which took forever despite it not being busy (we were second in queue) to sit in this!!! What a joke. Clearly understaffed.

I don't use Starbucks very often but as it was convenient for the shops I wanted it seemed a good idea.Sadly although the price was competitive the quality was not. Before I'd even paid my coffee was served. This has never happened anywhere before and as it wasn't piping hot I suspect it was a 'Blue Peter' job...one done earlier, perhaps by mistake.Before leaving I visited the unisex toilet. It was in a disgusting state. It's tiny anyway and by merely entering I set the hand drier off. There several piled of used toilet paper against the back wall. I hope they were used for hand drying though heaven knows why.If you're expecting a quiet coffee go elsewhere. The place was full of patents with screaming out of control kids.I will go to Costa or Caffe Nero, both just outside the shopping centre next time.

Run by people who don’t care. Long waits for service. Even if you are first they make you wait. No idea how they stay open unless it’s their nameOnly time staff moved was when the manager made an effort to come out of the office

Currently having an overpriced cup of tea (once the seemingly waterproof teabag lets some tea out), having cleared the table we’re sitting at, in a shop where there’s no customers waiting to be served, at least seven tables needing to be cleaned, but no one can be bothered to walk away from behind the counter; not appealing at all!

So disappointed with the way this branch of Starbucks has let itself go. I’m in here it’s 9:45 so not busy and the place is filthy. Even the walls are dirty. Let’s not go there about the skirtingboards - puke !So watching the waitress clean one of the tables. Squirt and wipe didn’t even do it properly the chairs are covered in gunk but she left these. Doesnt matter eh Starbucks the next person will sit in that and wipe it all over their clothes - clean it for you !Unfortunately I ordered a toasty so have to sit here with my breakfast and coffee but feel like I need.to go home for a wash !VILE

some coffees are sloppy, others addictive. the leather chairs were ripped, tables were not clean and the time it takes them to make them. i ordered something, a new girl apologised for mixing up the order and then she had to start again. i waited for about 10 minutes. apart from my complaints it was ok.

My wife and I stopped here to catch up with one of her school friends. We just had Americanos as we didn't want anything more as it were too early for lunch. The coffee was ok. The staff were pleasant.The leather of the seat we sat on had split. The place needs a refurbishment, but there were a couple of guys measuring up and taking photos, so one may be on the cards. For an establishment of its size, it could do with at least one extra loo. There was the disabled loo and a unisex loo with a single pan and wash basin. I wouldn't want to need to go if it were busy.

Disgusting chairs, sticky and uncleared tables. Avoid this coffee shop. Definitely not the place for a quick coffee - I wasn't the only one to walk out because it took too long to be served. So many wonderful coffee shops in Bishop's Stortford but this is not one!

Went in to Starbucks at the rear of the centre at 6pm today and a young brunette girl served me. Polite at first but when I asked for a small frappe she charged me for a tall, I doubled checked what she was making- a tall I thought oh well no big deal. But when she handed me the drink she decided to correct me that it was a small after all so I explained that she had over charged me and she insisted 'you never asked for a "mini"..... I could have stayed to explain further but she just couldn't be bothered and started walking away from me anyway. Manager- please teach your staff some manners. Crap service for a simple transaction

If you are in need of a good cup of coffee in Jackson Square shopping centre, then Starbucks is the place to visit. The staff are all very friendly and the service is excellent. The food on offer is the same for all starbucks outlets, but the service is what makes this a popular venue, along with a family friendly layout and also very accessible for wheelchair users.

Called into Starbucks but very disappointed to be told that the only food they sell which is Gluren free are brownies! Cannot believe that a company of this size do not cater for those suffering with colieac disease.

I visited Starbucks this morning with family members specifically to sample the scrambled egg breakfast as advertised outside the restaurant on an "A" board. I was informed that they were not available. Very little else looked at all appetising but we did buy toasted buns which were just edible. Dark, drab interior. Insufficient counter staff, not particularly helpful.

This place is in need of a refurbishment BIG TIME! The sofas are absolutely disgusting with encrusted cake and congealed cream and coffee stains everywhere it's so past dirty this place is a health hazard and not fit to sell food for human consumption. Starbucks you need to buck up your ideas and invest in this coffee shop as its seriously looking worn out, dirty and somewhere to avoid. This said staff are lovely and coffee is good but for a take out only- not to drink in. Although god knows what its like behind the counter the gradual build up of grime on the other side makes me wonder!

Starbucks generally is a nice environment to sit and have a coffee, but the one in Jacksons Square is a little messy, the tables are not cleaned regularly which means when you go to your table, a lot of the times it's sticky and filled with someone else's used crockery and rubbish. On the last few occasions this has been the observation for me which is a little disappointing, you can understand it if at the time of visit the shop was busy and the staff were dealing with other business, but it wasn't really that busy, still lots of free tables but chairs were moved around. The chairs were also filled with crumbs and the like. So "Messy" is the only word that comes to mind.

Starbucks - whats to say really? This one doesn't have the coffee and mugs for sale which is a shame as good for gifts. Service tends to be slower than City outlets and cleanliness varies. That said - the coffee is always good and the service friendly.

Visited Bishop's Stortford as staying with a relative and wanted a snack and coffee. Saw Starbucks and thought we would give it a try, wish we had gone somewhere else. Both had cappuccino coffee and shared a chicken and bacon baguette. The coffee tasted like warm water with a froth on it, the baguette was at least two days old, all in all dreadful. If Starbucks knew anything about coffee they would not serve this tasteless liquid. As for the baguette one word - yuk! Actually what food they did have (not much) looked past its sell by date. Our first and last visit to Starbucks.

It is a Starbucks so you pretty much know what you are going to get...or so I thought. Ordered a frapppcino but did not bargain on getting a straw that appeared to have been cut in half. Totally inadequate for the task in hand. Seems costs are being cut and straws doubling up. Suggest you take your own or buy a cold drink from one of the other numerous coffee shops in town.

Decent size place, sofas, armchairs and tables and chairs. There are also some tables and chairs outside the store but they remain inside the shopping centre.

Lovely place to pop in after shopping, for delicious cup of coffee! It is in right place, on the way to car park :)

Plenty of choice Staff change a lot Very good WiFi connectivity. Visibility in and out makes it a good meeting place. Room to bring in your Sainsbury trolley as well.

We arrived just after opening on Fathers day. The shelves were almost empty although they did have what we wanted out the back, our cappuccinos had no froth whatsoever, I got the impression they made a latte and tried to pretend it was a cappuccino by adding a bit of froth. We weren't fooled! Visited the ladies, no loo paper, husband visited the gents to find the hand drier didn't work. Altogether a pretty nasty experience. We won't bother with this Starbucks again.

Card machine faulty charges you five times for one transaction and some weeks later. Staff and head office rude when challenged

This outlet is fantastic for a quick bite and a coffee first thing in the morning, on your way to work. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are part of the Starbucks :Loyalty scheme and so as you spend, you gain points towards a free drink.

My son is a coffee fanatic so every trip to town involves stopping for coffee. I like Starbucks drinks, but find that this branch, and indeed most Starbucks branches could do with a good clean. I opt for take away and sit on the benches in the mall.

travelling back from cambridge we popped into Starbucks at Birchanger services. Coffee was very good, staff very friendly and snacks great. Bit messy but these places are always busy so we overlooked that

I have walked passed this Starbucks on many occasions as it's in my local indoor shopping centre. No matter what time of day I pass and glance into the front window, the wooden floor is always full of bits of cake etc that customers have dropped. It appears they simply do not sweep the floor during the day. How sad the manager has no idea on how to make his/her branch look more attractive to passing customers. To be honest, the carpeted section doesn't fare much better either. If the customer areas are so unclean, it makes me wonder about the rest. I did go in for a coffee today for the first time. I prefer the coffee from Nero or Costa (Personal preference and no reflection on the coffee), but due to lack of cleanliness, I'm afraid I won't be coming back.
