I came on for a large Cappuccino and a three cheese toastie. I was greeted nicely, the place was very clean and a few people around for a Monday morning. The toastie was great and I love Cappuccino, no complaints from me. It was nice and quiet too. Thanks

Starbucks is a high brand but this shop in Newmarket high street is so dirty and toilet is always really messy 🫣🫣🫣 No napkins, no cutlery😵‍💫 This place is like that since was open. Visiting with my friend second time and is worse then when store was first open. Shame for the brand name.

Stopped off for a toffee latte, got there and there was no cue but I had to wait for the staff to finish their conversation. This was a quick stop so I really wanted to be in and out. I showed my NHS 10% off discount and she accepted this. I was charged £4.90 which seems ridiculous for a coffee if this is also with 10% off? She also didn't ask what size coffee I wanted an just gave me large. Chloe was the one who served me who needs some customer service training. Drink was also weak so must be only one shot of coffee and was horrifically sweet and I have a sweet tooth.

I’ve visited Starbucks multiple times in the last three weeks on my lunch break, they never have any of the ingredients to make the drinks I’ve asked for, they assure me they will get a delivery which apparently never comes!! I’ve left empty handed every time!

Utter rubbish. Ordered two nut blend hot chocolate for £7+. When they arrived after queuing for 15 minutes (as only one member of staff) they were made with dairy milk.. They remade them, but when we drove away and waited for them to cool down it basically tasted like hot milk with a slight chocolate flavour.

The absolute worst Starbucks I’ve been to. I ordered a custom Caramel Macchiato w/blonde shots & cold foam. I order it ICED and showed the barista the exact order written down so she wouldn’t get confused. She takes my order then tells her co-worker, who was leisurely talking and not doing his job, “I have a drink for you to make.” He looks at the order, then at me and says “you’re telling me I have to make THAT?!” and rolls his eyes. So they sit around messing up my drink while rudely complaining about it right in front of me. Then they hand me a HOT drink in an ICED cup...wtf? In an effort to not freak out on them, I simply took the drink and threw it in the trash when I walked out. Absolutely disgusting customer service and a waste of my £5! If you can’t make a drink, JUST SAY THAT!

2 people behind the counter serving only one person at a time meaning a large queue forming on a quiet day. Ordered two drinks with caramel syrup and they both had no caramel but instead had passion fruit syrup. Could’ve been an honest mistake but they only gave me one drink which I then had to point out I’d paid for 2. So they had to make the other one and put passionfruit into the 2nd cappuccino, too. Would’ve shrugged it off as simple mistakes if there had been a modicum of customer service, but the guy that was giving the drinks seemed like I was inconveniencing him, for him giving the wrong number of drinks and for giving the complete wrong drink, twice. Very poor from a highly regarded chain.

I know we’re in a pandemic and majority of places are doing 50% off dine in. But if you want a sandwich from here, You won’t receive it until you have to ask where it is. So I ordered a peanut butter Frapp & A 5 cheese toasted sandwich. I got my drink fine. So I was just waiting for my sandwich, some time went by. But as soon as it got to me waiting for 20 minutes, I got back into the line and asked the barista kindly where my sandwich was at. And he just gave me a funny look and asked WHAT SANDWICH, bearing in mind he was the server who took my order. The seating area is filthy and full of flies. The staff don’t really know what’s going on half the time. Cleanliness is no existing in this Starbucks.

When visiting Newmarket, we decided to go into Starbucks for a morning coffee. I ordered a tall cappuccino and a tall latte. My husband decided on a choc chip cookie. I asked what they had in Gluten Free and was told, ‘we don’t do anything anymore’ ‘we used to do a cookie, but they changed the shape and it’s not GF anymore’. It was on the tip of my tongue to sat ‘should have gone to Costa’. Having said that, the coffee was nice and I always carry biscuits with me, So I had those. But it’s not good enough. If Costa can do it why can’t Starbucks? Or is it just that one. I’ll be back to Costa in future!!

I regularly get a coffee from Starbucks stores in other areas however I’ve been to the Newmarket Starbucks on three occasions - including just now - and the coffee I order latte) is consistently awful. Thin and watery, burnt coffee aftertaste and just really unpleasant to swallow. I’ve had to throw it away each time, which is a shame because I really look forward to my regular Starbucks coffee. The service is really unprofessional and rude - if you look at the sandwich section, the staff will passive aggressively click pens loudly and huff and sigh, even if there is no one else in the store. My drink has been slapped down at the end of the isle without being called multiple times and the attitude of the staff (especially the short haired blonde girl) makes me well worth staying away from the store. A real shame. Baristas need better training and the rude staff need to be replaced. My work place have now swapped to getting all our coffees with a nearby competitor.

My friend and I stopped here before shopping. No oatmilk which wasn’t great but had almond as an alternative. Also no teaspoons! I bought a fruit yogurt from the counter for my 1 year old daughter only to be told after that they had no spoons. Not even any behind the counter that staff use. I wondered why they would knowingly sell me this when I stated it was for my daughter. I had to use a sharp fork in the end. Wasn’t the best service today. I have had much friendlier service here.

This branch has had so many management issues since it first opened, and whilst you give them some time to sort themselves out, after around two years it's the same old problems. Either the dishwasher is not working (everything served in paper cups etc)., credit card machine off line, and that long standing joke, the front door jams and staff cannot open for business which happened again today. How difficult is it to get your front door fixed once and for all so the customers can actually get inside and give you their money?You can usually tell when management / owners really care, they take the time to respond to Trip Advisor reviews, and anything from the Newmarket owners? Not a word .....Typing this from a full and buzzing Cafe Nero a hundred yards along the High Street, an excellent cup of coffee and they don't seem to have a problem opening their door on time ...

Their dishwasher isn't working (hasn"t been for quite some time) so coffee is in a paper, takeaway cup. They tend to underfill those cups & you end up paying for half a cup. So, today I explained that to the girl serving & I asked she make sure I got a full serving. She looked miserable, & she told me the cup would have been full & the space left would just have been that of the plastic top. I, being the only one of the two if us that had actually seen the previous underfilled cups, said that had not been the case. So, there I was explaining that I'm really not am imbecile &, being nearly 60, I actually can determine that a paper cup of coffee is not nearly as full as it could & should be. A cafe should be a warm, friendly environment - what are the chances when the employee who serves you looks miserable & treats you as if you're a complete idiot?

We came in on Saturday 27th January with a couple of friends to have a hot chocolate and a millionaire shortbread. This was about 12pm.. there was a que to the door waiting to be served, 1 person on the till dealing with a que and running around like a headless chicken, this member of staff called (Emily) on her name badge looked extremely stressed and under pressure. And a young blonde lady working on the coffee machine making what looked like a huge que of drinks and a bunch of customers waiting the other side for their drinks!

Being winter and as it was raining my girlfriend and I fancied a hot drink to warm up. We decided to give Starbucks a try. We both had a hot chocolate, but I had to have a dairy free one due to an intolerance and the staff were really helpful. They served nice a quickly and the drinks were nicely presented and tasted great. They played relaxing background music so we able to unwind at the same time

It is a fair size with good facilities but I'm not sure if it's due to staffing challenges but this place was not clean! Floors were dirty and tables not refreshed or wiped down. In fairness, there was only one member of staff present and she was taking orders and maning the till all by herself.

Walked in this morning to find an excitable dog barking loudly by the counter, not what you need early when waiting for you wake up cup of coffee. Dog Owner seemed to know the staff well, all good fun I suppose, but really..... have previously seen some dodgy looking staff boyfriends lurking early morning, how about cleaning the filthy entrance carpet instead of chatting to boyfriends, this place really needs to get a grip! They have recently pushed back opening time by 30 mins, bit more focus would help instead.

Since my bf now lives in Newmarket I always stop of in the mornings before my train to Cambridge or sit inside on my days off, all the girls are fantastic, very welcoming, always chatty, having been to many others I think Newmarket is easily the most friendliest, always told about offers, well done girls, great customer service.

New Starbucks so you cannot fault the interior. The staff could probably do with some more training and it feels like it needs a proper manager. Very old newspapers hang around for days on the tables, which sometimes seem as though they have had just a perfunctory wipe over leaving coffee stains. Sugars / sweeteners run out from time to time. One corner of the customer tables gets taken over by staff as a working area with an open laptop, jackets, etc. The food on offer looks unappealing. Located in a small town with a heap of coffee shops, Starbucks in Newmarket is going to have to up its game since it must be paying a large rent on its mid-High St position.

A new Starbucks, needs some work re: staff and replenishing stock. Staff often unsure of what they're doing, drinks come out slower than expected and often wrong (i.e in mug when wanted take out) and sometimes very little on offer in display counters. All feels a bit frantic and needs some refinement, but runs practically like any other Starbucks. Standard chain store.

My family make short stop for coffee and my wife had a customer (card Starbucks ) with 50% off offer. she try to use it and the staff were rude not accept the card apparently they are a franchise and choose which deals to honour. Very matter of fact, no apology

I'm a regular customer in Starbucks and rate it highly. However stock never seems to be replenished. I met up with my mother for coffee and a cake today and had to go to cafe Nero instead due to the lack of choice on display. Very disappointed.

The new Starbucks on the High Street in Newmarket is small, in some ways basic, but nonetheless is popular, and well visited. The coffee is good, and the service efficient. I recently got takeaway drinks, and the queue moved quickly, and the drinks were made swiftly. The quality did not suffer for the busy flow of customers and the sit in areas were well cleaned. All in all a good start for this outlet.
