Starbucks in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Love popping in to see the staff for a coffee, before I get my train. Amber and Sarah are very chatty and always remember my order.

I normally avoid chains such as Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero etc but there didn’t seem to be any other choice here. 1 member of staff serving, quite busy, therefore assume they are short staffed. Sat down to drink my small £3.50 (expect these prices in London, not Hull!) Americano and it was lukewarm. Took it back but had to wait as a queue had formed. No apology from server. Then she asked if I wanted hot milk. I said yes, but unfortunately on drinking it, it was now more like a latte. Had to leave it anyway as my train was now due shortly. As most places these days, Starbucks pay lip service to being environmentally friendly, however the whole time 2 taps were running constantly. Water being the most important source on earth Starbucks! Needless to say will be avoiding the chains even more from now on.

Nice location and a great place to stop to pick up a drink and a bite to eat. I was between trains on a very warm Friday and opted for a Cool Lime Refresha drink made with lemonade. Iced and very tasty, and as I had missed lunch, grabbed a chocolate twist! A great pick me up for a weary traveller!

Their machine that adds points is down. They tell me to ring head office to add the. Head office tell me to go vack to the shop to get them added on. The shop today tells me they can't add them and go back to head office!. Waste of time I have now deleted the app so will stick with cafe nero in future.

Purchased a Americana, weak coffee no taste and served by a rude dark haired girl The place is cold with no atmosphere , go to Costa next door

I went into store and asked one of the members of staff, about the strawberry drink, she was really rude and then when I got handed my drink she was really moody and did not seem interested. This is poor customer service. I didn’t get the member of staff name however she had light brown hair

Went in last week before my train, and friendly and happy staff, went out of their way to help me, and a quick and enjoyable experience, it was wonderful!

No idea why but the staff working there think it’s acceptable to start swearing and talking about their husbands being incompetent, complaining about social dilemmas, WHILST serving customers. Unprofessional and unacceptable it’s not a social club came in there to chill out, ended up listening to why her husband is a burden to her financially and emotionally whilst my drink was being made using vulgar language, won’t be coming here but will be going to the costa next door.

I’ve just popped in before my midwife appointment and the lady with green and black hair served me she was ever so lovely I’ve never met someone so nice I asked for extra caramel and she put loads in thank you! As it’s one of my cravings ☺️ Please give this lady a promotion

Popped in to see if I could just grab a hot water to soothe a itchy throat, lady who served me was super friendly and didn't think my request was weird at all. Was nice to see how well they interacted with the regulars as well in the morning, not only just the normal day to day customers 🥰

My daily routine every morning before collage is to come Starbucks, the lovely girl on the till with the multicoloured hair she told me her name but I forgot! She’s an absolute gem! All the staff are lovely and the service is great!!!

I travel through Hull several times a year and this Starbucks has become my favourite. The coffee is always great, the service is always quick and efficient, and the staff are lovely! The dog also enjoyed the biscotti xx

I arrived here about 1.5 -2 hours before close, yet it seemed as if they were already closed??? All the furniture had been stacked up and the chairs were on tables. I asked for a place to charge my phone yet I wasn't allowed because "the manager likes to start closing up early" I get wanting to be out on time but it didn't make for a welcoming vybe.

Wow. ChRbi g extra for any milk alternative is vile. Greedy and damn right rude. £3.55 for a tall soy latte? Wtf! Thanks for accommodating for those intolerant to dairy…. NOT! Greedy franchise. No wonder it’s always empty.

Terrible service , waited five minutes one person working at 12.15 , I eventually left and went to other coffee place , others left too Busy with one server ? Crazy

It is a nice place to get drinks from and the staff there are all so friendly and very nice and the food as well.

Great and very welcome if you are travelling and desperate for a coffee but apart from being warm and wet it was a very average cuppa. The cafe is small but warm and fairly comfortable. The service is efficient but we had to clear away cups and saucers to create a space. A much welcome drink but little more than that.

Popped in while waiting for a train for a coffee and cake and I wasn’t disappointed both were tasty Lovely clean place and pleasant staff

For about a week I travelled by train to Hull every day. I tried a few coffee places. The coffee from the Starbucks was by far the best. Also, it stayed open until 8 pm which others do not. The cafe itself is uninspiring. However the assistant who served me was very cheery and made up for the surroundings.

Well this is a mixed review. We missed our train through traffic problems in the city, so we decided to have a cuppa in Starbucks. I am not a frequent user of this chain but gave it a try.The drinks were good but was let down by the service and also let down by the tables not being cleared whilst we were in there. 2 staff serving one taking orders, one making the drinks by the machine. The order taking was serving a lady. After finishing the lady with me moving up to her she was operating her phone behind the counter instead of serving me. This is bad customer service keeping customer waiting, the phone should not have been used or on show to the public.
