Star Tandoori Indian Take-Away & Restaurant in Suffolk Coastal

I really felt very happy with the tase of food. I Tried starters, main dishes, tandoori dishes. Staff is very friendly and co-operative. One of the best Indian food we can taste nearby.

Had the most amazing meal here. The chicken naga chilli masala lived up to it's name and the chicken ceylon equally as good. As a starter the onion bhaji was soo tasty and good portion. Would definitely recommend.

Placed the order through just eat on a Saturday night, recieved an email stating it'll be there between 7-7:20pm, at 7:25 had a text saying its on its way, didn't call straight away as its Saturday night, possibly very busy. At 7:45 gave the restaurant a call, they confirmed it'd gone out with the delivery driver and should be with me soon. Waited a further hour, nothing had arrived, called the restaurant again, owner was annoyed said it had gone out and been delivered. I said nothing is here otherwise I wouldn't of called, they said they'd call the driver and call me back. 15 minutes later they called to say it had been delivered over an hour ago, I advised we had been waiting for it downstairs, no one had knocked on our door, and now concerned they had delivered it to the wrong house. I said we have a white and grey car outside, and heard them talking to the delivery driver and ask what colour car was outside, they said red. They said they'd re cook and deliver, 25 minutes later they arrive. They were hesitant to hand over the food and (I'm assuming) the owner asked said delivery driver if this was the property she had delivered too, she said fairly sure. My partner said we wouldn't eat the same meal twice, and I said I wouldn't of called and asked where the food was if it had arrived, espeically waitng for 2 hours (probably should of called quicker than i did, but giving them the benfit of the doubt) they handed the food over and said it was someone's mistake. The food was lovely and am grateful that they re cooked and delivered to us, however customer service wasn't great and as a result probably won't order from here again. I also noticed a review on just eat of someone the same night as us saying food didn't arrive, but that was removed the following day.

Very disappointed to say we won’t be using this restaurant again. After 90 mins and when order was late I called and I was shouted at and told order had ‘gone’ and then goodbye. When I said no… I need to know where my order was I was told to wait 10 mins. That turned into an additional 25 mins and over 2 hours since we had ordered. We weren’t happy as we had children to feed and my order was then cancelled out of the blue when I called I was told I was rude. Very upsetting as we had been loyal customers for years. No refund as yet. An evening ruined and a very unhappy family.

Just ordered a takeaway from the Star Tandoori for the first time. Very quickly cooked - rang us to say it was ready for collection - 12% discount :) All food hot - both in temperature and spicing! All dishes tasted different - not always the case when places use a ubiquitous base sauce... Yep - that was good - will certainly order again.

To start with food wasnt very warm, chicken was chewy, pakora were just uncooked batter and flavourless and curries were tasteless and watery.

Had quite a few takeaways here now and really enjoyed them all Very tasty tandoori dishes. I want to try more of the starters but can't help keep ordering the onion bhajis as they are so good. All collected, and it always seems very popular and busy when there.

I was so looking forward to my first Indian take away since shut down. Not cheap takeaway and i awaited in anticipation. Very polite delivery chap and delivered bang on time. Like many reviews my take away was luke warm, not an issue I have microwave to heat it up slightly. My veg madras was OK nice selection of veg, but wasnt a brilliant madras, cant put my finger on what was wrong with it, but it really wasnt brilliant. The biggest let down of all was my Cheese naan bread. I have never had a cheese naan where the cheese is cheese spread spread inside the naan. Every cheese naan ive had has gooey cheese on top of it. The cheese spread wasnt pleasant and because the naan was not hot when arrived even after a micro blitz was pretty tasteless. Waiting 18mths for an indian maybe my taste buds were expecting more. However I was extremely disappointed.

Ordered from them this evening for the first time. The food was DELICIOUS so tasty and chicken was succulent and fresh. Our only disappointment was when it was delivered it wasn’t hot, but luke warm which was the only thing that let the meal down. Such a shame as I bet it would have tasted so much better warm.

Best Indian food around i drive 25 mins just to come here for a Indian best on flavour teast always hot never a problem for them if I change things around can not recommend them enough

Ordered a takeaway through just eat. The meal took 2 hours to arrive ( far longer than the app suggested) and was Luke warm on arrival. We ordered 3 chefs special. All of them were very brightly coloured looking very much like food dye had been used. 2 of the dishes the Kadai and the rendang tasted very similar. I found all three dishes to be rather sweet and lacking in any punch. The veggie side curry was very bland. There are far better Indian takeaways in Woodbridge

Delicious curry so much flavour, I would say it is the best in the area. Staff are friendly and polite.
