DELICIOUS Indian food!! Get anything with Lamb, they cook it perfectly. I recommend the Lamb Rogan ;)

We visit the restaurant as a family of 4, the staff were really friendly. Our food was served in good time and was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend

we waited over an hour for our food and was delayed, then when it arrived it was cold.

I have ordered from here before and it was ok but this time it arrived cold. The chicken nuggets and chips for my son were cold and looked awful and uncooked! Such a shame.

we expected the delivery at 6.30pm but it didn't arrive until 7.30pm. we even called the restaurant to chase up the order after 30 minutes. Not acceptable

Slow to arrive. Restaurant delayed delivery twice. If you don't mind a wait the food it great!

Ordered on NYE expecting things to be busy but our order arrived with 10 minutes of our booked delivery time. The food was excellent as always - Always our go to for an Indian takeaway.

order wasn't ready, korma was the worst I've ever had, couldn't eat it. tasted only like coconut with no other flavour whatsoever and way too thick. won't be ordering from here again would not recommend

Used to come here a lot. Returned last week and it was a positive dining experience. Decided to return last night with friends. Not great. The food seemed nice at the time to be fair. Whatever happened to the hot towels? No mints with the coffee? No hand towels in the gents toilets? And to top it off, one of our party has been throwing up all night with abdominal pain. Attentive waiting staff until we went to leave. We said 'thank you very much' I think one of the group may have muttered a 'thanks' Saddened. £128

We've been using The Alishan Pavillion for a few years now, and we've never had a bad meal! The chicken is always fresh and the sauces are always well spiced with a great consistency. As well as great food, the service is friendly and efficient and the menu is reasonably priced. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a very good Indian restaurant or takeaway.

time was pushed back half an hour from initial expected delivery time, and then ten mins late after that. bit cold on arrival and additional naan and salad missing from the mixed grill. normally wouldn't have any of these issues, perhaps extra busy due to being valentine's day. not our best experience tonight.

Was ok. Average. Delivery late but it’s a Saturday. Haven’t eaten here for a long while so thought we would try. Don’t think the chicken in the chicken tikka dansak was tikka. Didn’t get any sauce with the onion bhaji (you do with most other places). No salad in the prawn cocktail, just prawns. The food tasted ok, wasn’t a bad meal, just ok.

It was cold watery and had no flavour

Just had an excellent meal here with my mum. She’d been once in 20 years and now wants to come back every week. Curries were delicious and excellent service in a busy restaurant - apparently see you next week! Haha!

App said our order had been delivered 10 mins before it arrived. Food was good but we had an item missing.

Delivery was late and items were missing when it arrived. On phoning the restaurant I was told they were to busy to deliver the missing items

Vindaloo curry was very dry as not enough sauce with it although the wife said the Biryani was nice.

The only thing that didnt seem quite right was that one of the naans should have been a cheesy one and it actually wasnt. None of us could taste any cheese. But all ok otherwise. Nice food!

Very dissappinted with the food. Stuffed parathas had no vegetables in and just tasted of dough. Bombaby alloo potatoes were rock hard with hardly any toppings.

our first takeaway tonight. Superb food, flavours and so much for the money.

Ordered online , order accepted and stated 1 hour til delivery. Called when 20 minutes late to be told , "short of drivers ,will get it to you when we can " not even a sorry ,food arrives about 15minutes later , not as hot as it should have been. Neither foodhub or the takeaway interested in sorting this. Very poor , almost rude customer service from the takeaway. Shame as the food is normally good quality. I ll avoid in future.

Waited too long for a takeaway with no updates. Ordered popadoms to have with chutney and pickles but no chutney or pickles arrived. Food was Luke warm upon arrival and cold once sat down to eat. Decent flavour, but didn’t feel like eating by time it arrived.

Honestly one of the greatest curries I've ever had - and I've travelled all over India! Massively enjoyed the king prawn jalfrezi but had a sample of the full-power naga which was incredible too. Enjoyed in great company with really close friends, perfect culinary accompaniment to the evening. Thank you 🙏

Night on my own so decided to have a curry. So much choice and having never been here before I just went for a quick vegetarian set meal for one. Well, I ended up with two meals out of it for a very low price. The food was excellent and fresh and I will be going back to try the restaurant next time with the family

Food was ok, I feel like it lacked a bit of flavour in the tandoori and the meat was tough. I’ve had better food but the service was great! Definitely better Indian food available in Ipswich

My husband and I arrived 15 min before closing time starving and in need of food. We know it was late but they kindly cooked us food to go. Really enjoyed the meal - had a lamb chilli masala, chicken vindaloo, naan, aloo gobi and egg rice. When they say spicy they mean spicy particularly the vindaloo, which is what we like 🌶️😋

Used to be top notch. Then went downhill. Came back up again. Now back to plain awful. In this case service. Phoned to order a pick up of a curry and vindaloo. Straight forward dishes. But put on hold for 2 minutes so i rang off then back. Only to be told they had held me as they had customers! What am i then? I placed my order but then told them not to bother as i am not waiting 35 minutes to pick up. I only live around the corner. Why the long wait? And to be put on hold without explaination for that amount of time? Terrible service. I shall use Jaipar in Brokehall from now on. Miles better.

Had a lovely meal here this evening with my partner and 2 young children, atmosphere was relaxed, food was lovely and staff were accommodating and helpful. It was also nice to see other families with children! Thank you for a lovely evening, will definitely be returning again

I just wanted to let you know how very disappointed we were with our meal . First of all we didn’t receive the Pilau rice with our order( but it was quite quickly delivered but my Chicken Tikka Biryani lacked chicken I only received five very small pieces in my meal and baring in mind how cheap rice is I was not impressed .

Very tasty curry. Some in the party thought it was a little too hot compared to the same dish from other establishments but I thought it was just right.

The last time we visited was a bit of a let down. The food was as good as always, but the wait was too long. I'm pleased to say things have changed and it's back to the lovely service we used to get, friendly and helpful. The food is as fantastic as ever.

We'd been past customers but after a few bad experiences years ago we tried other restaurants. We're so glad we gave them another go this evening,huge portions &, in our opinion,nobody does matar paneer (cheesy peas 😁) like Alishan. Reminded us how good their food is,we'll definitely go back.

I am writing this review as advised in an email from Magdaline at Just Eat, we have asked for a refund and she has said no becauase the issues with our meal were apparently down to 'how people cook and who cooks' it and suggested i write a review (which she must have realised would be negative) instead, whilst i am sure the restauarnt woud actually prefer that i was refunded and didnt write the review! The meal we had last night wasnt great to be honest and in particular the onion bhajis tasted really strange and unusual - they were soft and cold - looked like they had been taken out of a freezer and defrosted and not cooked at all, how they were transported meant all of our starter was ruined and the horrible aftertatse meant that the whole takeaway was ruined by this....

We have always loved this restaurant and takeaway, but the latest meal was dreadful. The naan breads were cold and tough, the butter chicken had a very watery sauce and little chicken and the onion bhajis were so greasy. My tikka chicken biryani was fine, the poppadoms and raita excellent. Not a cheap meal and unlikely to return.

I have never had a bad meal from the Alishan and this one lived up to their excellent standard. Hot, Fresh and delicious with great quality chicken and delivered to a tricky address bang on time! Highly recommended.

The Korma was a little flavourless (even for a Korma!) The poppadoms somehow managed to be both burnt in some places and undercooked in others
