This is our fourth time ordering and it’s been consistently amazing every single time. The food always arrives piping hot, the portions are generous, and everything tastes absolutely delicious. You can really tell they care about quality and consistency. It’s become our go-to Chinese—highly recommend

Awful food. Food was not fresh. Some of thr meat was off. Very poor quality and major health and safety issue to consumers. Do not recommend.

Food was off, dry and clearly old. Some of the meat had an awful smell. Food was not fit for consumption. Had to report to food standards. Very suprised about quality of food and risk to customers given that I had chosen to order from restaurant due to rating. However current star rating does not match true quality of food. Phoned restaurant to inform them but had a very irate, rude individual fron restaurant. I know cost of food is going up it is not acceptable to serve inadequate poor food!

I would leave no stars, the food was very bad and customor service. I brought sea food chew mein which was slimy the veg it had 2 prawns and squid in it and cost an extra £1.00 more for veg than meat. The crispy beef/chicken balls was burnt and and very oily and the portion was half the size it should be. The sauce was spilling out. When I called tto inform them the child/women started to shout at me and had an attitude. Which was not tolerated. She sent the driver back to collect the food.

Fabulous meals, great potions, great prices.

The chicken was horrible and slimy. We also ordered the bang bang chicken and it didn’t even look like it had been warmed up. The sauce was like jelly and then water had gathered at the bottom. The rest of the food was ok but I wouldn’t there again.

I have been using Star Shine delivery regularly for a couple of years. Never had a bad meal. Excellent customer service. Great delivery time. I tend to stick with regular favourites so can't comment on all dishes. Portion sizes great for cost. Also, order directly from their website instead of through Just Eat etc.

Food was ok Not as tasty as normal. But not greasy.

Much better this time, everything cooked to perfection. Spring rolls were only thing that was a bit greasy but those don't tend to 'travel well' anyway. Wish they were still giving calendars at Christmas time though, we've been hanging them on our walls since 2023 and next year will be the first one without!

Enjoy their food. Lovely crispy chicken wings. Good egg fried rice & yum crisp batter on the sweet sour prawn balls. Tasty Thai beef & veg dish, good chilli kick. Delicious dinner for us. Plus free fizzy drink. Would recommend

Spring rolls were greasy and soggy (again), pork ball batter so soggy and undercooked I had to put them in the air-fryer for a while before I could eat them. This place has really gone downhill. Very inconsistent and often disappointing.

The food was yucky. Next time less salt, more seasonings. I was absolutely appalled by the rice, What was that? I will certainly not be recommending to my m8s. I wish i could say take care but the taste is still with me. Lastly, if you’re preparing abysmals like that please don’t take so long, yaa dig. Laters

Food was too wet and SALTY! Prawn crackers were stale/OFF! Delivery was late and the driver handed my food TO A NEIGHBOUR WHICH THE NEIGHBOUR TOOK AND I OVERHEARD AND THE DRIVER SAID HE DOESN’T KNOW! HE DID NOT BOTHER TO CHECK THE ORDER NUMBER!

Seems like I've had a similar experience to a bunch of others. Noticeable the worst Chinese I've ever had. The meat taste of scarily poor quality. Unlike any meat I've had before. The noodles were a really weird consistency. Somehow mushy. Fried rice tasted as if they were flavoured with water. Big portions but really strange experience. I don't think whoever cooked this has any experience as a cook, let alone at cooking Chinese food.

This is the second time I’ve ordered from this takeaway, I will definitely use it again. I’ve had five different dishes so far and all have been delicious.👍

unfortunately nowhere near the usual standard. squid was saturated in oil, clearly refried & very small portion. Prawns were supposed to be dry dish, came covered in sauce. didn't go with the hot and sour soup.

I don’t normally leave reviews. I have used this place before and food has been ok.This time however it was poor. Chow mein didn’t look fresh. It looked like leftover’s. Pancake rolls were far ,far too greasy. The sauce had about 5mm of oil sitting on top. I know I could stir it but the presentation was horrible. Whole lot went in the bin.. Shame really as I won’t use these again.

I tried Star Shine for the first time last week, and I'm glad I did. They use good ingredients like Shitake mushrooms, mangetout, and Chinese mushrooms instead of just lots of onion slices or beansprouts. Plus, they offer great value for money! I ordered nine dishes and a hot and sour soup. The dishes include Chicken Curry, General Tso's, Malaysian Pineapple Sauce Chicken, two orders of Spicy Salt and Peppercorn King Prawns, Crispy Chili Sauce Chicken, Cantonese roast pork, Ginger and Spring Onion in Oyster Sauce Chicken, and Malaysian Satay Sauce Beef. Our favourite dish was the Spicy Salt and Peppercorn. Even though the prawns were not crispy, they tasted delicious. The English Chicken Curry was also excellent. Surprisingly, the Cantonese Roast Pork and Malaysian Satay Sauce Beef tasted even better the next day. The soup tasted different from other Chinese takeaways but was still enjoyable. While all the dishes were good, some were a bit saltier than I prefer. Message to the Chef - I would suggest using less seasoning in the "Salt". Overall, I was pleased with my order and will definitely order from them again!

The bang bang chicken smelt so bad. The egg fried rice tasted different than usual. I might not patronise this business again. I originally wanted chicken wings but it was not available. sigh.

very inconsistent, different everytime I order. have had some good ones this one was BAD . DO NOT ORDER LEMON CHICKEN, was covered in lemon curd and something so sour I had to throw it away also only had 3 prawns in a king prawn chow mein. very disappointed

The worst and most disgusting Chinese food I have ever had. Ordered it because they had ma po tofu on the menu and you can’t often find that. However this was not ma po tofu, it was thin, disgusting, barely warm, clearly microwaved from frozen and inedible. The rest of the food was no better, all had obviously spent too long in a freezer and not long enough in a microwave. None of it tasted good, all in all it made me angry that I paid anything for it. Avoid at all costs, it’s an upsetting experience

The food itself was good but I was very disappointed with the spring rolls, there was mostly just spring onions inside with a few duck peices and no other contents. I was just biting straight into spring onions at that point, I couldn't finish it.
